Duggar Girls" Molestation Lawsuit Criticized By City Officials: Cash Grab Alert!!
As reported last week, four Duggar sisters are suing their hometown over the release of documents pertaining to the Josh Duggar molestation case.
Now, the Arkansas town is firing back.
Jill (Duggar) Dillard, Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, Jinger (Duggar) Vuolo and Joy-Anna Duggar all filed a lawsuit against the city of Springdale.
The Duggar girls are suing the police and city officials and In Touch Weekly magazine, as well, in regard to the release of this information.
According to the lawsuit, the Counting On stars claim that the city was wrong to release official documents that contained their statements.
Jinger, Joy-Anna, Jill and Jessa spoke to police back in 2006, when they were minors, about Josh molesting them years before that.
By releasing these docs to In Touch, which published the details, the four girls say the defendants exposed them on a global scale.
The City of Springdale sees this differently, however.
“The claims and allegations in this lawsuit are without merit and are false,” the statement reads in part, disputing the girl’s central point.
“[The lawsuit] claims that that the release of a heavily redacted police report pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act Request was somehow unlawful.”
“We are confident that the Federal Court will take the time to carefully hear the facts and arguments in this matter.”
“It is unfortunate that now, at this late date, the Plaintiffs have chosen to file a misguided lawsuit,” said the city in its response.
Springdale lamented the case being brought “against dedicated public servants and seeking damages from public tax dollars.”
Implicit here is the accusation that the Duggars are doing this two years after the scandal broke as a money-making endeavor.
The Duggar girls counter that they’re only taking legal action now in order to help prevent other child victims from such “reckless reporting.”
“This case is solely about protecting children who are victims of abuse,” Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy-Anna Duggar said in their statement.
“Revealing juvenile identities under these circumstances is unacceptable, and it’s against the law,” the four siblings added.
By suing, they hope that “media and custodians of public records who let these children down must be held accountable.”
“This case has vast implications for all our children. We hope that by bringing this case to the public’s attention, all children will be protected.”
They do have a point in one important sense:
While the police documents released were redacted to remove the victims’ names and other identifying information, as the city claims.
However, enough information was left in the documents that it was obvious that the victims in the case were Josh’s four younger sisters.
What’s the point of redacting anything then?
If the goal is to protect minors, but officials willingly disseminate information that fails to achieve this, there should be consequences.
This may well depend on whether they met that reasonable threshold. Jill tweeted a link to a story about the lawsuit, along with a message.
“We hope our lawsuit will send a clear message that releasing the names of juveniles is never OK,” the eldest of the four wrote.

Selena Gomez: Grab Your Tissues, I"m Back on Instagram!
Selena Gomez is fresh out of rehab, and is positively dripping with peace, happiness, and inspiration.
Positively. Dripping.
She spent nearly two months at a rehab center in Tennessee to get help with the depression and anxiety that had popped up as side effects from her lupus.
That was an inspirational move in itself — not too many celebrities as popular as Selena would take time off during the prime of their careers to better themselves, as we know all too well.
But then she made her first post-rehab appearance at last week’s American Music Awards, and, well, she pretty much just owned our hearts.
In her incredibly moving acceptance speech for her award for Best Female Artist in the pop/rock category, she fought tears to say “I think it’s safe to say that all of you know my life whether I like it or not.”
“I had to stop,” she explained, “because I had everything, and I was absolutely broken inside. I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down.”
“I don’t want to see your bodies on Instagram. I want to see what’s in here,” she said, putting her hand over her heart.
“I’m not trying to get validation, nor do I need it anymore,” she went on.
“All I can say from the bottom of my heart is that I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to be able to share what I love every single day with people that I love.”
“And I have to say thank you so much to my fans, because you guys are so damn loyal and I don’t know what I did to deserve you.”
“If you are broken,” she finished, “you do not have to stay broken.”
Amazing, right?
Selena continued the trend of being wise and beautiful and wonderful in her very first social media post in over three months.
She shared this adorable photo yesterday on Thanksgiving:
And, along with it, she wrote “I have a lot to be thankful for this year.”
“My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I’ve finally fought the fight of not ‘being enough."”
“I have only wanted to reflect the love you guys have given me for years and show how important it is to take care of YOU,” she wrote.
“By grace through faith. Kindness always wins. I love you guys. God bless.”
And there you have it: undeniable proof that Selena Gomez is a goddess among us.
Here’s hoping that she got all the help she needed in rehab, and that she’s able to come back to us strong and healthy and whole.
What a blessing of a person.

Megyn Kelly Details Roger Ailes Harassment: He Tried to Kiss Me, Grab Me...
Megyn Kelly has gone into detail over allegations that Roger Ailes sexually harassed her on multiple occasions while he served as the Chairman of Fox News.
Radar Online has obtained excerpts from Kelly’s upcoming memoir, “Settle For More,” which was updated at the last minute with passages about Kelly’s history with Ailes.
And they paint the disgraced CEO in some pretty terrible light.
Ailes left the company in July after former host Gretchen Carlson became the first of several women to accuse him of sexual harassment.
She eventually settled her lawsuit against Fox News Corp. for many millions of dollars, with Kelly writing that she was approached over the summer to speak out in defense of her ex-boss.
“I refused,” Kelly writes in her book, according to Radar. “There was no way I was going to lie to protect him.”
Ailes has strong denied any type of misconduct, despite numerous Fox News employee claiming he acted in inappropriate ways toward them.
Kelly is one of these employees, as reports back in July asserted that she told executives at Fox the kinds of things Ailes said to her back in the day.
It all starred in the summer of 2005, Kelly now writes, just a few months after she was hired as a legal correspondent in Fox’s Washington bureau.
Having “captured the attention” of Ailes, Kelly says she was often summoned to his office for meetings.
“Roger began pushing the limits,” she alleges, adding in gross detail:
“There was a pattern to his behavior. I would be called into Roger’s office, he would shut the door, and over the next hour or two, he would engage in a kind of cat-and-mouse game with me – veering between obviously inappropriate sexually charged comments (e.g. about the ‘very sexy bras’ I must have and how he’d like to see me in them) and legitimate professional advice.”
Kelly claims that he offered to advance her career “in exchange for sexual favors.”
After she rejected these offers, Ailes continued to make “physical advances” against her.
In January 2006, Kelly says that Ailes “crossed a new line – trying to grab me repeatedly and kiss me on the lips.”
When she pushed him away, she alleges, “he asked me an ominous question: ‘When is your contract up?’ And then, for the third time, he tried to kiss me.”
After six months of this kind of behavior, Kelly reported Ailes to a supervisor. At that time, the harassment finally ended.
“Crossing him was a major risk,” she writes in the book. “But what if – God forbid – he was still doing it to someone?”
Therefore, Kelly called the co-chairman of 21st Century Fox, Lachlan Murdoch, and told him and the firm’s general counsel about her experiences with Ailes.
Days later, the company announced it had hired an outside law firm, Paul Weiss, to investigate Ailes, with Kelly saying she cooperated fully by providing them with as many details as she could.
It’s worth noting, by the way, that Fox News Corp. gave Ailes a $ 40 million golden parachute when he left the company.
And also that he’s now serving as an advisor on Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign.

Farrah Abraham Endorses Donald Trump: Grab Life By the P--sy, B-tches!
Well, it’s over.
After 18 months of non-stop barnstorming, mud-slinging and p-ssy-grabbing, the 2016 presidential campaign can finally pack it in and leave the rest of us to start the healing process.
Sure, Election Day is nearly a month away, but any pundit worth his salt will tell you it’s all over now that Farrah Abraham has announced her endorsement.
Yes, in news that’s sure to shock absolutely no one who’s acquainted with Farrah and her IQ, Ms. Abraham believes the human throbbing forehead vein himself, Donald Trump (aka Donnie Vadge Grabber), should be the next President of the United States.
Farrah made her announcement last night via every freakin’ social media platform, because apparently she shares her candidate’s fondness for late-night posts, and she’s under the mistaken impression that the world was desperately awaiting her political insights.
Interestingly, the footage of Trump boasting about acts of sexual assault that’s alienated so many others seems to have cemented the Teen Mom star’s position.
We don’t understand why, but in fairness, we’re guessing Farrah doesn’t either.
Perhaps it’s because, like Farrah, Trump is obsessed with sex tapes.
Or maybe she likes the idea of a fellow dumbass going from reality star to leader of the free world.
Whatever the case, Farrah took to Snapchat last night to announce her endorsement of Trump.
She then took to Twitter and Instagram to say the same damn thing, because she really believes her followers give a sh-t who she’s voting for.
Naturally, Farrah backed her position with a thorough outline of the ways in which she believes Trump’s tax plan and hard-line stances on immigration and trade partnerships will affect the US economy.
Just kidding, she encouraged her followers to “Grab life by the p–sy, b-tches!” and called the Clinton family rapists.
Yes, the entire Clinton family:
“STFU about Trump and see the rapist Clinton family,” Farrah captioned her snap.
We’d love to know what Farrah means when she tells us to “see” the Clinton family, but our Farrah-to-English interpreter is currently being talked off the ledge of a tall building.
On Twitter, Farrah wrote:
“After watching the #debate it’s clear @realDonaldTrump is going to be the best option @HillaryClinton I approve this message & tweet @3am”
Sounds like someone watched Bill Maher this weekend and said, “I can do the political funny!”
We like to imagine that when Farrah tweets that little Microsoft Word paper clip pops up and says, “Looks like you’re trying to … actually, I have no idea what in the actual f–k you’re trying to do.”
It seems that Farrah is breaking with her mom and on-again, off-again boyfriend Simon Saran in endorsing Trump.
Debra has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s, while Saran seems to be of the mind that both candidates are wrong for America.
When Teen Mom producer Morgan J. Freeman recently joked that he’d like Edward Snowden to steal the long-rumored Trump “n-word” tapes and expose them to the world, Saran bit the hand that feeds him, tweeting:
“That’s illegal! Kind of like the drugs the teen mom cast do on the show!”
Some high and mighty talk coming from a guy who dates Farrah freakin’ Abraham.
Before today, at least we could say, “Hey, it’s not like she supports Trump, or anything!”

Kardashian Family: Resorting to Desperate Cash Grab With Vegas Residency?!
The Kardashian family finances have long been a matter of public debate.
One would expect that the Kards are beyond loaded, and the number of eight-figure Calabasas mansions they own would seem to corroborate that fact.
However, there have been credible reports of the Kardashians struggling financially.
Insiders have claimed that a combination of declining reality show ratings, cash-strapped boyfriends and baby daddies, and never-ending lawsuits has the Kard clan teetering on the brink of financial ruin.
Hard to believe they could’ve squandered that much money, but we can’t imagine any other reason that the family would be considering offers to star in the lamest-sounding Vegas stage show of all time.
“It would be like a live version of their reality show but also a talk show with special musical guests,” a source close to the family tells In Touch.
“Kris thinks fans will gladly fork over $ 50 per ticket for a live experience with her famously dysfunctional family.”
Yes, get ready Vegas! The Kardashians Live is coming to bore you to tears!
Who wouldn’t want to shell out 50 bucks to sit through the same scripted BS you can get at home, for free roughly 47 times per week on the E! network?
If you answered “everyone,” congrats – you’re officially smarter than Kris Jenner.
No, no, we kid Kris, but in actual fact, the woman’s a marketing genius.
Which is why if there’s any truth to the rumor that she’s actually entertaining offers for this guaranteed bomb, the family must be more desperate for cash than anyone thought.
But clearly a Vegas residency isn’t the answer.
