Because it's Star Wars Day! Get it? May the fourth be with you? Instead of the Force?! See what the legions of Star Wars fans did there!?
If you think about it, this was bound to happen.
If any fan base were capable of hijacking a random day on the calendar and turning it into their own faux holiday based on a play on words?
Well, it would be Star Wars fans.
Not that you need a reason to geek out on the other 364 days, but whether you're a Jedi-level Star Wars nerd or a mere Padawan, May 4 rules.
It's also a particularly memorable Star Wars Day, given that it's the last one before Episode VII officially becomes part of the iconic universe.
Based on The Force Awakens trailer, you can all but guarantee it will top Episodes I-III when it hits theaters this Christmas, so that's even better.
Because it takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi (Episode VI), that means no Jar Jar Effing Binks and the return of the franchise we love.
Amazing, really. The Star Wars teaser released last month alone has us tweaking out on May 4 and every day really, and we're not the only ones.
