Erin Moran: Her Brother Reveals Secrets of Her Tragic Life
Last week, Erin Moran, best known for playing Joanie on Happy Days, passed away after a short but brutal battle with cancer.
We hadn’t heard anything about her in a while, with the latest reports before her death being about her struggles with money and how she’d become homeless.
But now Erin’s brother, Tony Moran, is filling the public in with some details about her that we never knew.
And every last one of them is absolutely heartbreaking.
Tony says that Erin hadn’t told him or any of their four other siblings about her cancer, and when he learned of her passing, he, like many others, assumed it was because of her struggles with addiction.
“I didn’t even realize she was sick, never mind dying,” he reveals. “When I found out I bawled like a baby. I couldn’t believe she was gone.”
“My first thoughts were she must have had a heart attack caused by years of substance abuse.”
Tony says that “She has always battled demons and in recent years things have gone from bad to worse.”
“We were raised by a mom and dad who were not fit to be parents. She found true happiness on Happy Days and was America’s sweetheart, but then she was a nobody … and it broke her heart.”
According to him, those ten years that Erin spent playing Joanie on Happy Days were “the most content I ever saw Erin,” and “her castmates were the stable family she never had growing up.”
He says that growing up, their father was “a violent man who ruled our home with fear and physical abuse,” while their mother “lived her life through Erin,” and “when she wasn’t on set with her, she was in bed off her head on painkillers.”
Since Erin achieved fame at such an early age, she was never the direct victim of their father’s rage, “but she witnessed it all and longed to have parents who were loving instead of the horrible parents they were.”
Tony reveals that Erin first began experimenting with drugs when she was a teenager, after some Happy Days higher ups asked her to lose weight.
“The pressure to look a certain way was relentless and that fuelled her drug taking. She never felt pretty or thin enough,” he remembers.
“She was about 16 when she started to drink and smoke pot … Then it was speed and cocaine. I never said anything. I was indulging as much as she was and none of us were mature enough to stop it.”
During those years, Tony says that Erin spent money recklessly on anything and everything she wanted, but “it was too much, too young,” and when Happy Days ended, she struggled to get more jobs.
“Nobody wanted to book her, as everyone thought of her as Joanie,” he says. “I cannot begin to imagine how hard that was for her.”
“Erin loved fame, so when she didn’t have it any more she fell apart. It was a false love, but the only one she really knew.”
He says that she “thought of herself as a failure,” and used drugs and alcohol to numb that pain.
“I think in her final months,” he imagines, “she’d had enough of living after all she had been through and was just ready to go.”
“I wish I had got a chance to tell her how much I loved her. I pray she finds the peace she never found when she was alive … She had such a huge heart, it was just too big for Hollywood.”
Again, our condolences to Tony and the rest of Erin’s family. It seems they lost a truly wonderful woman.

Leah Messer: Is She Getting Back with Jeremy Calvert?!
Leah Messer has been raising a whole lot of eyebrows lately.
And right now, we’re not even talking about the persistent rumors that she’s currently pregnant with her fourth child.
No, today the issue in question is that last night, she celebrated her 25th birthday at a nightclub … and her second ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert was there.
And not only was he in attendance, but they also posed for a few intimate photos together.
“Good times,” she captioned one photo, and for another she wrote “Just a little fun, that’s all!!!”
It does look like she’s having a good time, and quite a bit of fun — and hey, let’s be honest, she looks drunk, too — but this is just a little surprising.
For one, the last we heard Leah and Jeremy weren’t on good terms. On the last season of Teen Mom 2, she complained that he wasn’t stepping up enough in taking care of their daughter.
She even told him that marrying him was the biggest mistake of her life.
And for two, they’re not simply just getting along in these photos. They look pretty darn close.
Like, if you’re at a club with your ex, pressed up against him with your hands in your hair, that’s not just a “we’re putting our differences aside for your child” pose.
But still, that’s the story they’re going with.
Early this morning, Jeremy posted a meme that read “Being friends with your ex shows you two are mature enough to get over the fact that you weren’t meant to be together.”
He added the caption “Before everyone freaks the f-ck out Jesus Christ….”, along with some hashtags about putting their daughter first.
Interestingly enough, he then posted another meme, this one reading “Never sacrifice your class to get even with someone who has none. Let them have the gutter. You take the high road.”
In that caption, he wrote “This is so true, I’m for sure going to start doing this, time to wise up and get my head out of my ass….. so glad I didn’t mess up again and rolled out timing was perfect….. give her the unfollow button everyone thanks.”
Some internet sleuths revealed in the comments that his former fiancee, Brooke Wehr, had shared a photo of herself in bed with a guy around the same time the photos of Jeremy with Leah hit Instagram, so that’s what he was responding to.
What does it all mean? It’s hard to tell.
But we do know that Leah liked both of Jeremy’s catty memes, so it seems like the two are now on the same team.
Are they back together? Have they been back together for a while, and is Leah’s rumored new baby actually Jeremy’s?
Hey, there’s always a chance.
And these people are so messy, it won’t be too long before we hear about it.

Kailyn Lowry Plans Post-Pregnancy Plastic Surgery: What Will She Have Done Now?
If you watch Teen Mom 2 online, then by now you’re probably already aware that Kailyn Lowry is pregnant.
Of course, her third pregnancy has been featured on the show yet, but fans have turned it into their own social media soap opera that now overshadows the events of last season.
Most of the online scrutiny has to do with the identity of Kailyn’s baby daddy.
Fan theories range from the plausible (It’s probably Chris Lopez.) to the sublimely ridiculous. (There’s a rumor that Kailyn is pregnant by rapper Peter Gunz.)
But today there’s a new Kailyn rumor making the rounds, and for once, it has nothing to do with the question of who knocked her up.
According to Radar Online, Lowry already has a plastic surgery session scheduled for after she gives birth.
News of the appointment comes from Dr. Michael Salzhauer, aka Dr. Miami, the same surgeon who performed Kailyn’s Brazilian butt lift back in January of 2016.
“Kailyn is scheduling to have plastic surgery with me after she has this baby,” Salzhauer tells Radar.
Citing doctor-patient confidentiality (which he already kinda blew by talking about the appointment at all), Salzhauer refused to go into specifics with regard to what procedures Kailyn is planning to undergo.
But tellingly, he did spend a lot of time talking about the relationship between

“But it’s not really true. You can have a tummy tuck after your first kid and if you get pregnant you can have another one. The body is amazingly elastic.”
So there you have it.
We think it’s safe to say Kailyn will be undergoing a tummy tuck following her third pregnancy.
Obviously, she’s not alone, as the majority of the stars of the Teen Mom franchise have had some sort of work done over the years.
Try watching old seasons of the shows and doing a shot every time you notice a major and unnatural change in one of the girls’ appearance.
Actually, don’t do that.
You’ll die of alcohol poisoning before you even make it to TM2, and we don’t need that on our conscience.
Jana Duggar: 13 Reasons Why ... She is Still Single?
Why is Jana Duggar single?
That"s a question Duggar Nation has been asking for years, and fans have not shied away from offering their two cents, and then some.
Some theories are more out there than others, obviously; Jana isn"t secretly a monster underneath her long dresses and skirts (we think).
But regardless of why the 27-year-old remains on the market, she continues to fascinate fans because WHY IS SHE ON THE MARKET?!
With Jill, Jessa and Jinger all married and Joy-Anna not far behind, the eldest Duggar daughter does her own thing. It"s a little baffling.
Here"s a look at all the rumors or reports we"ve read explaining this most unlikely phenomenon, and why they"re likely true (or false).
1. She’s not allowed to date because Jim Bob needs her as a surrogate mom.
This theory is both the longest-running and the most likely, given that Jana has been taking care of her younger siblings for her entire life (when she was born, the show was called 3 & Counting … just kidding). In all seriousness, she’s been a key part of raising her brothers and sisters for years, and even now, can be seen taking care of her nieces and nephews (like Josh’s daughter, above). Whether or not this correlates with Jim Bob turning a blind eye to suitors, or her simply being so put-upon that she can’t consider courting, or some combination of both? That we may never know for sure, but Jana earned the nickname “Cinderella Duggar” for a reason.
2. She’s infertile.
In the Duggars’ world view, a woman’s value comes solely from the amount of babies she can crank out over the course of a lifetime, so if Jana doesn’t have that ability, she may not be “desirable” for Jim Bob and Michelle in terms of finding her a partner … and as such, she might as well be put to work, dovetailing with the above theory.
3. She’s a lesbian.
Unlikely … but it has been rumored before on several occasions, and scientifically at least, 1-2 of the Duggars’ 19 kids being gay is plausible, maybe even likely. Jana hasn’t shown any interest in courting, and we can’t imagine there wouldn’t be interest from young men … if she’s attracted to women, her family would never admit it, or she would never admit it to them, and she would enter into a life of servitude to Jim Bob and Michelle. A stretch, but crazier things have happened.
4. She’s not impressed … by the Quiverfull movement.
One fan theory is that she’s taken a Godly path, but not the controversial one espoused by her parents. Jim Bob and Michelle have embraced the “Quiverfull” movement, which basically means “be fruitful and multiply.” Jana, the theory goes, wants to embark on a path of celibacy, like the apostle Paul recommended. A little out there, but then again these are the Duggars. Can you rule that out?
5. She’s not allowed to date until John David does, or doesn’t want to.
That’s just lunacy … but it is interesting that neither of the twins have entered into a courtship. Twins are known for a bond that few others understand or share. Perhaps they’re somehow looking to be paired off at the same time?
6. She’s not settling. (Or is too picky.)
Crazy notion, right? That a 27-year-old woman just hasn’t felt strongly enough about a particular person yet? She basically said this last fall, telling TLC: “I don’t know what the next five years will look like. In some ways you’ve got hopes and dreams. Maybe I’ll meet the one and get married and have kids and stuff. There have been different guys come along and ask, but they haven’t been the right one. It’s just one of those things. I’m not just out to get married to the first one who comes along.” Case closed?
13 Reasons Why: Does It Glorify Suicide?
13 Reasons Why is a breakout hit for Netflix.
The streaming network never goes public with download numbers for its programs, but it came out last week that the drama has been the most Tweeted-about series of 2017.
In this day and age, there’s nearly no better metric with which to measure success.
But 13 Reasons Why has been making headlines ever since its March 31 release for reasons aside from hashtags and social media mentions.
The series has raised numerous red flags for mental health experts, many of whom believe it sends a potentially dangerous message about teenage suicide.
In short, the show centers around a high school student named Hannah.
We find out almost immediately that she’s killed herself, although she still narrates the entire first season because Hannah recorded 13 tapes prior to slitting her wrists, each of which calls out certain individuals at her high school for how they treated her.
And, therefore, how each contributed to her decision to take her own life.
The drama (co-produced by Selena Gomez) is meant to leave a strong impact on its viewers, touching on such topics as bullying, sexual assault and underage drinking.
Netflix makes it clear, via a special message, at the outset of various episodes that the upcoming content is graphic and mature in nature.
But this isn’t enough for some institutions and some doctors.
A handful of middle schools and high schools have sent letters home, urging parents to not allow their children to watch 13 Reasons Why without adult supervision.
“Suicide is a tough issue to talk about,” says Dr. Christina Conolly, who works for Maryland’s Montgomery County School District, where she helped write a letter that states “adolescents watching without an adult … could be at increased risk of self-harm.”
Dr. Conolly doesn’t necessarily call out 13 Reasons Why for any of its storylines, simply saying in general:
“Watching a suicide or knowing someone who has died by suicide can lead others to completing a suicide themselves.”
The National Association of School Psychologists agrees, declaring in its own statement:
“We do not recommend that vulnerable youth, especially those who have any degree of suicidal ideation, watch this series.”
More specifically, some in the professional field question why the show never really brings up the topic of mental health in general, while also finding fault with the way in which it paints suicide as a form of revenge.
They also have a major problem with how a guidance counselor appears to blame Hannah for having been raped by a fellow student.
It’s this conversation, Hannah herself says in one of her audio tapes, that serves as the final nail in her tragic coffin.
In the upstate New York community of Grand Island, school administrators warned that the series “sensationalizes suicide.”
Indiana’s largest school district warned in an email that the series “does not accurately model what we would want or hope individuals do if they are struggling or in crisis.”
13 Reasons Why is based on a 2007 novel by the same name.
But the TV version takes many liberties, veering far off the original script at times and expanding on many developments and character arcs.
Gomez, who has talked openly about her own emotional struggles over the years, said she was braced for a backlash upon agreeing to produce the drama.
“It’s going to come no matter what. It’s not an easy subject to talk about. But I’m very fortunate with how it’s doing,” she has said.
Brian Yorkey, who won a Tony Award and a Pulitzer Prize for the musical Next to Normal, was one of the main writers on 13 Reasons Why.
He disagrees with the critics who think the show paints suicide in any sort of positive or glamorous light.
“Many people are accusing the show of glamorizing suicide and I feel strongly – and I think everyone who made the show – feel very strongly that we did the exact opposite,” he says, adding:
What we did was portray suicide and we portrayed it as very ugly and very damaging.”
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, suicide is the second-leading cause of death among American teens between the ages of 15 to 19.
It’s a real issue, one that those behind 13 Reasons Why say they have taken as seriously as possible.
Asked about troubled teens and their possible response to what they see on screen, including a graphic depiction of Hannah killing herself, Gomez says:
“They have to see something that’s going to shake them. This show is as real as it can possibly get.”

She’s been in trouble with the law more times than we can count, for assault and drugs, and then more drugs.
She gave up custody of her first child to party, then she went on to have two more children with two different men, who are both criminals themselves.
It’s all just too much messiness for one person, isn’t it?
But then you get into the animal stuff.
In a 2014 episode of Teen Mom 2, Jenelle was seen mistreating two dogs, one that was hers and one belonging to Nathan Griffith.
She screamed at the dogs for no real reason, kept them locked in tiny crates in the garage, and when they relieved themselves in the house because she wouldn’t take them outside, she screamed some more.
She even let one of the dogs loose outside, trying to get the poor thing to leave. The whole thing was hard to watch.
Jenelle has heavily criticized for the episode — she even received a letter from PETA — but it didn’t seem to affect her too much.
In 2015, she encouraged her dog to fetch a lit firework on the Fourth of July, and last fall she played fetch with her dogs around a bonfire.
She also got a new puppy and let her toddler, Kaiser, ride him, which is another big no-no for pups.
For each and every one of these instances, Jenelle has been scolded, and concerned onlookers have tried to teach her the error of her ways.
But the girl is back to her same old tricks.
Earlier this week, she shared the following photo on Snapchat:
While it’s good that she’s no longer keeping such sweet little animals locked in cages all day, every day, people are still taking issue with this photo.
And that’s because down in North Carolina, where Jenelle lives, there’s been a cold spell this week, along with tons of rain and hail, in some locations.
The dogs looked to be huddled up together for warmth, as close to the house as possible so that perhaps their owners would let them in out of the cold.
“I f-cking hate Jenelle with a passion for what she did to those poor dogs,” one person said of the photo.
Another wrote “Jesus God Jenelle. The look on their faces are heartbreaking.”
One person summed the whole situation up pretty well with “Jenelle is an ignorant and uncaring owner, unsurprisingly.”
Also this week, Jenelle shared some videos of little Kaiser riding at ATV (without a helmet or any other protective gear, but that’s another story), and fans noticed something wrong with one of the dogs.
See the grey dog’s tail? It appears to be broken.
Look, Jenelle, maybe it’s time to admit that dogs just aren’t for you. Perhaps get a cat next time, they’re much more independent.
Or, just to be safe, we hear sea monkeys are pretty fun and don’t require a big commitment.

Fyre Festival: Chaos Erupts at Ja Rule-Hosted Event
There’s a good chance that, like us, you never heard about the Fyre Festival before today.
After all, this was no Coachella-style fest for the peasants.
Fyre – co-organized by rapper Ja Rule and tech entrepreneur Billy McFarland – was billed as a “luxury event” for those who find traditional festivals just a tad to plebeian.
The line-up didn’t offer much to write home about (headliners included Blink-182 and Tyga), but the accommodations were supposed to be.
With tickets ranging in price from $ 1,000 to $ 12,000, the Bahamas-based event was to offer festival-goers a once in a lifetime experience:
Guests were to be flown in from Miami, and once on the island they would stay in a geodesic and engage in activities such as jet skiing and kayaking.
It all started to unravel, however, when the talent started to back out, citing lack of advance payment and insufficient sound equipment.
Moments ago, the first annual Fyre Festival was “postponed indefinitely,” but not before the conditions deteriorated rapidly and the whole situation descended into a level of chaos that more than one attendee has compared to the Hunger Games.
Guests are reportedly stranded in disaster relief tents, eating hastily thrown together meals (such as the one pictured above) that could generously be described as less than luxurious.
“Someone fainted and they locked us in a room using a huge chain and deadbolt,” one attendee tells Vice News.
Guests who reportedly paid as much as $ 250,000 to stay on the festival grounds for the weekend were diverted to an impromptu “daytime party” after arriving from the airport so that organizers could arrange some sort of temporary housing.
When the crowd (quite understandably) became unruly and hashtags like #FyreFraud began to trend on Twitter, organizers finally sent word that the event was canceled:
“Due to unforeseen and extenuating circumstances, Fyre Festival has been fully postponed,” reads a message posted on the event’s Twitter page.
“After assessing the situation this morning and looking at best options for our guests, we cannot move forward as we hoped we could. At this time, we are working tirelessly to get flights scheduled and get all travelers home safely.”
Now, those responsible for the chaos are reportedly scrambling to protect themselves from lawsuits and even prosecution.
It’s unlikely that anyone will be imprisoned as a result of the allegations of fraud and unsafe conditions, we’re guessing Ja Rule – who was released from prison in 2013 and remained on probation until last year – is less than thrilled that by the prospect of winding up back in court.

Farrah Abraham Gifts Her Mother with a Noose in Disturbing New Video
This is a very special time for us all, because Farrah Abraham is doubling down on the trashy, unnecessary drama.
Not only can we see her on the new season of Teen Mom OG, but she"s also appearing on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition, which premieres tonight.
It"s a whole lot of Farrah, which means a whole lot of awfulness … but this latest thing is particularly bad, even for her.
In this new little teaser for Marriage Boot Camp, all the families sit down together for what looks like a nice little Christmas gathering.
But don"t get your heart set on any sort of happiness, because the very first thing that happens in the clip is that Debra, Farrah"s mother, opens up her gift … which is a noose.
Everyone has a horrified reaction, which it totally fair, but Debra got the gift because of that time that Farrah told her to "just f-cking die already."
Farrah is asked why she"d ever say that to her mother, and her answer is "Probably from all the pain I"ve been through in my life."
Deb starts shaking her head, and Farrah turns on her, saying "You thought it was OK to have abusive behavior around me continuously."
She"s apparently referring to Debra"s 2010 arrest for assaulting Farrah — Farrah says she dropped the charges, but Deb maintains the charges were "bogus" anyway."
Farrah starts to cry about the incident, claiming that a police officer held a gun to Debra"s head "because my whole face was bleeding," but her mother continues to dismiss her story and call her a liar.
Far be it from us to defend Farrah, but when Debra was arrested, cops did note that she had "multiple cuts" on her face.
In the end, Farrah starts to melt down, calling her mother a "stupid ass bitch" and leaving the set.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner: Blaming Caitlyn for Ripping Their Family Apart?
You know what they say: another day, another story about how Caitlyn Jenner really should have thought things through a little more before including certain things in her memoir.
Like, did she really have to write about how bizarre it was for her to sleep with Kris Jenner? Was that necessary?
Unfortunately, though Caitlyn has quite the story to tell, it seems like she’s also on a mission to sell as many books as possible.
And that’s why she’s bringing up Kris and the Kardashians as much as she possibly can both in the book itself and while promoting the thing — the people want the gory details.
Or the O.J. Simpson stories, same thing.
While invoking the Kardashian name has certainly got a lot of people talking about her memoir, it’s also had the not-so-desirable effect of ripping her family apart.
Sadly enough, it seems like Caitlyn’s two youngest children, Kendall and Kylie, are beginning to suffer for it.
According to a source who spoke with Hollywood Life, “Kendall and Kylie feel terrible about the divide Caitlyn has created in the family.”
However, “Caitlyn will always be their father so Kylie and Kendall have a stronger bond with her than the rest of the sisters who are at war with Caitlyn over her salacious new book.”
But while Kendall and Kylie feel more loyalty towards Caitlyn, they’re also very close with their mother and their sisters, so they’re pretty much stuck in a difficult situation.
The source says that “The younger sisters are tired of trying to defend Caitlyn to their older sisters so they have asked Kim, Khloe and Kourtney to not bring up the Caitlyn drama anymore.”
As for the littlest Jenner, “Kylie refuses to listen to anyone diss Caitlyn, she is over Caitlyn’s book at doesn’t want to read it.”
She also “feels like it hurts everyone when Kim claps back at Caitlyn,” as she did pretty eloquently yesterday on The Ellen Show.
Meanwhile, “It makes Kendall sad that the book has caused so much tension in the family.”
Did she try giving Caitlyn a Pepsi?
The source concludes this tragic tale by explaining that “Both younger daughters feel stuck in the middle and they are distraught that Caitlyn is dividing them.”
This all goes back to what we’ve been saying all along, which is that Cailtyn really should have considered the cost of including certain things in her memoir.
It would have been a fine book without hurting anyone’s feelings, and of course she didn’t have to bring the late Robert Kardashian into it — she should have known that in particular would have infuriated her former stepchildren.
Hopefully Caitlyn is able to work everything out, at least with Kendall and Kylie.
If not … well, we hope that her book just sells oodles and oodles of copies.

Heineken Trolls Pepsi, Releases Politically-Charged Ad
Just three weeks after Pepsi released an ad starring Kendall Jenner as the sole solution to social issues that divide our country, Heineken has come out with its own politically-charged commercial.
But this one is very different than the video that earned Pepsi such stunned backlash.
The beer company has released a four-minute YouTube spot titled “Worlds Apart: An Experiment” in which six strangers with different political and social beliefs are divided into three partnerships.
They are then tasked with working together to build stools, and, eventually, a bar.
If this all sounds very complicated and drawn out for a beer commercial… it is.
But the message does resonate in the end.
After teaming up with one another, the participants were then informed about their partner"s viewpoints on various topics; for example, one transgender woman discovered that her her assigned other half believed that being transgender was “not right."
Another duo realized they disagreed vehemently on climate change.
Despite their significant differences, each tandem stuck around to talk and work through their opinions – over beer, of course, hence the tie-in to Heineken.
The commercial has been praised by such stars as Sarah Silverman.
It stands in stark contrast to the notorious Pepsi ad because it"s not exploiting a movement such as Black Lives Matter.
Nor is it using real-life conflict between police and citizens as fodder for how Pepsi tastes so great that it can put an end to any kind of tension.
Instead, it"s simply emphasizing the importance of having an open dialogue – and, hey, what better way to have said dialogue than over a bottle of beer?
Watch the ad for yourself and then react. Does this commercial also cross a line? Should companies avoid politics at all costs?
Or does this video manage to walk that fine line in suitable, even admirable, fashion?
