Wanted Man Arrested While Playing Pokemon Go Outside Police Station
Pokemon Go has been responsible for a number of injuries (below) and at least one existential crisis (also below) since it broke on to the national scene this summer.
And now it has also been responsible for an arrest.
Say hello to William Wilcox.
He was taken into custody on Thursday morning for an outstanding arrest warrant after authorities in Milford, Michigan saw him playing Pokemon Go outside of the station, which also serves as a Pokemon gym.
“He made our job much easier for us that day,” Milford Police Chief Thomas Lindberg told a Fox affiliate in Detroit.
Officers explained that the 24-year-old Wilcox was wearing pajama pants and standing near a flagpole when they recognized his face due to a rap sheet that includes a 2014 conviction for receiving stolen property.
Officials proceeded to look into their records and found out Wilcox was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant for a failure to appear on a breaking and entering charge.
As a result, Wilcox was taken into custody without incident just as he was attempting to catch a character at the flagpole.
“He either forgot that he had a warrant out for his arrest or was just ignoring it thinking nothing will happen,” Lindburg told WXYZ TV.
“I think he was more upset that he had to stop playing the game.”
On the bright side, the cops probably saved Wilcox from injury…
They also may have saved him from analyzing how his life has fallen apart in such a manner…
As hilarious as this story is, not every Pokemon Go story has prompted a room full of laughter.
Especially not any Pokemon Go story that involves people going to a Nazi concentration camp to play the game.
That is very uncool.

Jamie Lynn Spears: I Found Out I Was Pregnant in a Gas Station Bathroom!
Jamie Lynn Spears has experienced lots of ups and downs over the years.
The little sister of Britney Spears, she quickly rose to fame in her early teens as a musician and actress.
Her career went into a tailspin, however, following the revelation that Jamie Lynn was pregnant at 16.
Despite some bumps along the way (including a bizarre knife-wielding incident last year), Jamie Lynn has settled into a life of quiet and content domesticity.
In fact, when you compare Jamie’s situation to those of some of her teen mom contemporaries (We’re looking at you, Jenelle Evans!), she comes off looking like a veritable role model for young mothers.
These days, Jamie Lynn is married to Jamie Watson, and her daughter, Maddie, recently celebrated her eighth birthday.
Of course, she had to overcome some major obstacles to get where she is.
Jamie Lynn is the subject of a TLC documentary special that premiered last night, and for the first time, she shared the story of how she learned she was knocked up:
“[My friends and I] decided to get our friend to go and buy a pregnancy test. We stopped to get gas and she was like ‘Just go and take the test real quick’,” she recalls.
“We didn’t want to do it at home, so I went in the BP and I took a pregnancy test. I sat on the thing and we … sat there looking and my friend looks down and she freaks out and I was like ‘’What? What? What?’ and the test was positive and I was pregnant.
“So I got the news in the ladies room at the BP, that about sums it all up,” she says.
Jamie Lynn said she knew the public reaction to the news would be mostly negative, but she was determined to do what she felt was right from the moment she first found out she was pregnant:
“I knew I had a lot of young girls who looked up to me and I felt that responsibility, but at the end of the day I knew I would have to make a decision as a young girl myself, to do something that I could sleep with at night,” she says.
“I knew deep down that I was going to have my little girl, even if I had to raise her on my own, which is what I did.”
Spears has maintained a relationship with Maddie’s father, Casey Aldridge, and she says Watson cares for his stepdaughter as though she were his own.
16-year-old Jamie Lynn probably didn’t imagine things could work out so well for her on the night she received the news that would change her life in that BP restroom.

Wendy Bell Sues TV Station: I Was Fired for Being White!
Wendy Bell has filed a federal lawsuit against Pittsburgh-based WTAE for firing her this past spring, alleging that the TV station gave her the pink slip because she’s white.
Yes, she has really said this.
Back on March 21, Bell (a 21-time Emmy winner) took to Facebook in order to voice her opinion about the March 9 shooting of five African-Americcan people in Pittsburgh’s Wilkinsburg neighborhood.
This is what she wrote at the time:
You needn’t be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts.
They are young black men, likely in their teens or in their early 20s. They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs.
These boys have been in the system before. They’ve grown up there. They know the police. They’ve been arrested.
Bell wrote this without any actual knowledge of the assailants.
She simply assumed they were black men who fit this description… which is pretty darn racist, if you think about it.
Bell was relieved of her duties nine days after the station deemed her comments to be an ethical violation.
In her lawsuit, the journalist complains:
“Had Ms. Bell written the same comments about white criminal suspects or had her race not have been white, Defendant would not have fired her, much less disciplined her.
“Ms. Bell’s posting of concern for the African-American community stung by mass shooting was clearly and obviously not intended to be racially offensive.”
We’re not sure how clear or obvious that is, even if Bell did not mean any harm by her comments.
According to the Associated Press, Bell “is seeking back pay, punitive damages and her old job.”
Do you think she deserves it?
Was what she wrote just a citizen trying to be of assistance? Or was she being overtly racist and terrible?

This Couple is Totally Having Sex at a Subway Station
What would you do if you saw a man and woman drop their pants and just start going at it in public?
Like, if the woman were sitting on a bench and the man were standing in front of her?
Just thrusting away? Total penetration going on? No cares or apparent worries about who might be wandering by and see them in full porking action?
These were more than just hypothetical questions for residents and tourists in Barcelona, Spain earlier this week because an unnamed man and his unnamed partner really did go at it in public.
We"re not kidding.

According to The Huffington Post, this incomprehensible action took place on Saturday.
As you can see, some folks walked by the nearly-naked twosome, oblivious to what they were doing.
Others walked by and were quite aware of what was going on.
And one person, of course, stopped and filmed the unexpected railing.
Authorities in Spain are supposedly trying to track the couple down because it’s illegal to fornicate in public and they could face incivility charges, an official told El Huffington Post.
This could be the case even if they were just pretending to have sex.
Which seems silly, right? Once you"re going as far as these two are going, you might as well complete the deal, don"t you think?
Who would have guessed that Jared Fogle would only be the second biggest sex offender related to Subway, huh?
You"re right. We take that back. He"s still the biggest.

Local News Accidentally Uses Holocaust Symbol For Jewish Holiday Story! See What The Station Said About The "Oversight"!
Someone is getting fired!
Local Chicago news station WGN sparked controversy online after using a symbol of Nazi abuse for their Yom Kippur story!
On Tuesday, the news station was highlighting the Jewish holiday — where Jews fast and atone for their sins.

But viewers understandably took offense upon noticing that the image used for the story was of the yellow Star of David badge — which Jewish people were forced to wear during the Holocaust!
This unfortunate error sparked outrage on Twitter, as users wrote to the news station:

WGN swiftly apologized, saying they regrettably “failed to recognize” the offensive symbol, and are “extremely embarrassed.” The following statement was issued on their website:
“Last night we ran a story to recognize Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement. The artwork chosen to accompany the story came from a graphics image bank. Regrettably, we failed to recognize that the image was an offensive Nazi symbol. We are extremely embarrassed and we deeply apologize to our viewers and to the Jewish community for this mistake. Ignorance is not an excuse. Please know we are reviewing our in house policies and changes have already been made to make sure a hurtful oversight like this never happens again. Thank you for your understanding. We promise to do better.”
