Michigan Woman Fired for Filling Work-Party Brownies with Laxatives
Remember back when George Constanza was trying to get fired from The New York Yankees?
So he dragged the team’s World Series trophy behind in car in the hopes of getting canned for his efforts?
And then he got food all over a vintage Babe Ruth jersey?
Turns out, Jerry’s best friend should simply have filled his co-workers’ dessert treats with a laxative. That totally would have gotten the job done!
We say this after reading this newspaper article about an unnamed woman in Michigan.
An employee at MMI Engineered Solutions in Saline, she was confronted by police after authorities received a tip from another employee that the woman planned to put laxatives in brownies …
…and tne bring said brownes to a send-off for a fellow worker.
That’s a lot to digest, we know.
And it’s something we hope we never have to digest.
When interviewed by police, the 47-year-old woman initially denied putting laxatives in the brownies, Saline Police Chief Jerrod Hart told reporters this month.
However, when informed the food items would be forensically-tested for tampering, she copped to it, admitting that she baked in a full cube of laxatives.
It’s unclear how the woman’s co-workers knew she was planning this disgusting prank.
But many of them told the police that there was tension between the woman and the departing employee for whom the party was being thrown.
Hart says no charges will be filed against the woman, although she’s been let go from her job.
Because: d’uh!
Multiple outlets write that no one at the company actually ate the contaminated brownies, or else the woman likely would have been placed under arrest.
And while this story may seem like fodder for laughs, Hart says there’s a valuable lesson to be learned here.
He hopes kids across the country take note and realize that putting something such as a laxative into someone else’s food actually isn’t funny at all.
“A lot of times you see it in movies or TV shows where someone tries to do this or play a joke, but it’s very serious,” he said. “It’s a criminal act.”
Concluded the Chief:
“There’s just so much going on in the world, to create a problem like this is unnecessary and it’s criminal.”
And, may we add, just generally a crappy thing to do.

Michigan Mom Pleads Guilty to Having Sex with Two Teenagers
Brooke Lajiness, a 38-year-old Michigan mother, pleaded guilty on Monday to having sex with two teenage boys, according to reports.
She admitted during a pretrial hearing to having intercourse and oral sex with the minors, a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy,
Lajiness, who is married, pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for oral sex with a 15-year-old.
She also entered a plea of guilty to two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for intercourse with a 14-year-old.
Finally, she pleaded guilty to one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes and one count of furnishing obscenity to children.
That last case involved her sending nude photographs of herself to a minor, according to MLive (dot) com, which first reported the story.
Prosecutors said the Lima Township mother began an affair with the 14-year-old boy in the summer of 2016 after he graduated.
Graduated from middle school, that is.
The majority of the sexual incidents were alleged to have happened in the back of Lajiness" car in a Lima Township driveway.
Michigan State Police Trooper Donald Pasternak testified in court that Lajiness seduced the younger lad by sending him nude selfies.
Ultimately, the beauty salon worker later confessed to having sex with him between eight and 15 times, law enforcement officials say.
She was arrested after one of the teenagers’ mothers complained to the police that the blonde was sleeping with her son.
Guess that"s how she found out.
Lajiness was originally accused of 15 charges in March, including 13 counts of criminal sexual conduct in Lima Township, Michigan.
She is scheduled for sentencing on August 7.
If given the maximum punishment on all counts in court that day, she faces up to 20 years in prison, according to FOX 2 Detroit.
Currently, she remains free on bond for the time being as long as she stays away from minors – except for her own children.

Michigan College Student: I Was Kicked Out a Mall for Wearing THIS Outfit!

A 20-year old college student from Grand Rapids, Michigan has gone viral because she claims in a Facebook post that she was recently kicked out of Woodland Mall in Kentwood.
Her crime against humanity, according to the establishment’s set of guidelines?
Wearing short jean shorts and a Finding Dory tanktop and…
… no, wait. That’s it.
The ensemble you see below is allegedly the entire reason Hannah Pewee was asked to leave the premises.
“As many of you know, it is NINETY degrees outside today in West Michigan. Aka, really hot,” Hannah wrote to open her lengthy social media entry regarding what happened.
“So, of course, I decided to dress for the weather: shorts and a tank top.
“But apparently, how I was dressed was too ‘slutty’ for the public, as I was kicked out of the Woodland Mall today.”
Other patrons reportedly complained to mall security and other mall employees about Hannah’s outfit, which seems impossible to comprehend on a number of levels.
First, it isn’t all that revealing.
Second, who doesn’t love Dory?!?
“Yup. Apparently some anonymous person reported me to MALL SECURITY for inappropriate dress and I was kicked out,” Hannah explained.
In a post that has been Liked over 17,000 times as of this writing, the student continues:
“Never mind that within a one foot radius there were plenty of girls dressed just like me, since it’s NINETY degrees outside. I am so angry right now I’m shaking.
“I felt so embarrassed I almost cried. All because a stranger didn’t like how I dressed.”
For good reason, Hannah wrote on Facebook that she was “feeling angry” as a result of the incident, concluding as follows:
The Woodland Mall should be ashamed of themselves, as well as that anonymous complainer. It’s my body, and it’s hot outside!
I’m not going to show up in jeans and a sweater, sorry. Don’t like it? Look away!
I was out having a fun time with my sister and next thing I know, I’m out on the street. Slut-shaming how girls are dressed is deplorable and outdated, and it needs to stop.
The Woodland Mall does try to enforce a dress code policy, which you can find on its website.
“Appropriate attire, including shirts and shoes, is required,” it reads, continuing:
“Clothing with inappropriate words, phrases or graphics is not permitted and is subject to mall management approval. Excluding attire worn in accord with religious practice, tradition or significance, deliberately obscuring the face is prohibited.”
We’re not sure how a Finding Dory tanktop falls into any of these categories.
“Several women reached out to me saying that this had happened to them, too – not on the same day as me, but in the past!” Pewee told The Today Show, adding:
“They’d been kicked out for various reasons, all related to their attire. All of them felt, like me, that they hadn’t been treated fairly.”
The day after Pewee’s post went viral, she got on the phone with the management team at the mall.
She says these executives apologized for the incident and that the mall will revise its clothing policy.
Said a spokesperson for the mall this week:
“Woodland Mall has a dress code policy in place that we enforce. We’re currently reassessing the level of detail in our dress code and will train our team on it in hopes to avoid situations like this in the future.
“Our ultimate goal is to create an environment where all of our shoppers feel welcome and we, again, apologize for how this matter was handled.”
That apology is a good start at least.
And fortunately Hannah needs only to look to the shirt she’s wearing in the photo above to know how she ought to respond in a situation such as this.
