Riverdale Season 2 Episode 17 Recap: The Noose Tightens
Secrets do not stay buried in Riverdale.
Betty, Chic, and Alice learned that the hard way on Riverdale Season 2 Episode 17 when the car Dwayne was using showed up in the swamp, and well, it made things rather difficult for them.
As you may recall if you watch Riverdale online, FP and Jughead helped them cover the whole thing up. Desperate for some help, Chic turned to a woman named Darla.
But Darla only wanted money and did not care about how the Coopers got it. So, Betty was sent to the bank to collect $ 10,000 under the assumption that the villain would leave.
However, Betty returned home to find the man she pepper sprayed several weeks ago, and they seemed intent on staying to cause some trouble for the Coopers.
But Jughead and the Serpents had other ideas. They burst into the house and threatened them with violence if they did not take the money and make their way back to wherever the hell they came from.
This gave Alice the nudge she needed to apologize for everything she said and did to the Serpents over the years. She admitted she was once a Serpent and that she would wear that with pride from that moment forward.
In a truly shocking twist, she admitted that it was time for Chic to leave the Cooper residence because he has brought trouble to the family twice now.
Elsewhere, Toni enlisted the help of Veronica and Josie to try and find Cheryl because she knew there was something off about what happened to her.
At Thistle House, Mama Blossom revealed that Cheryl was away to be “fixed” because she had an infatuation with Josie. Josie then learned that Cheryl was the one who sent the pig’s heart to her and she checked out of the operation.
Nana Blossom then called the school to speak with Toni and revealed that Cheryl was closer than they thought and that she was with “the Sister.”
Indeed, Cheryl was in an asylum for conversion therapy, and Veronica and Toni broke in through a tunnel thanks to the help of Kevin. They managed to save Cheryl.
Toni and Cheryl indulged in the biggest of smooches when they were reunited, but it looks like Cheryl is out for blood.
Then there was Hiram who was shocked to learn that Papa Poutine’s friends were in town and wanted a significant stake in the prison deal.
When Hiram declined, the other villains used violence as a tactic and Archie chased after the attacker to find it was the man who was posing as the secret agent.
Archie rounded up his friends, and they helped get rid of the two men by blowing up their car and threatening them.
In return, Hiram gifted Archie with a car that looked like it was ripped from Grease. Oh, yes. Riverdale sure loves references to the past.

Farrah Abraham Gifts Her Mother with a Noose in Disturbing New Video
This is a very special time for us all, because Farrah Abraham is doubling down on the trashy, unnecessary drama.
Not only can we see her on the new season of Teen Mom OG, but she"s also appearing on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition, which premieres tonight.
It"s a whole lot of Farrah, which means a whole lot of awfulness … but this latest thing is particularly bad, even for her.
In this new little teaser for Marriage Boot Camp, all the families sit down together for what looks like a nice little Christmas gathering.
But don"t get your heart set on any sort of happiness, because the very first thing that happens in the clip is that Debra, Farrah"s mother, opens up her gift … which is a noose.
Everyone has a horrified reaction, which it totally fair, but Debra got the gift because of that time that Farrah told her to "just f-cking die already."
Farrah is asked why she"d ever say that to her mother, and her answer is "Probably from all the pain I"ve been through in my life."
Deb starts shaking her head, and Farrah turns on her, saying "You thought it was OK to have abusive behavior around me continuously."
She"s apparently referring to Debra"s 2010 arrest for assaulting Farrah — Farrah says she dropped the charges, but Deb maintains the charges were "bogus" anyway."
Farrah starts to cry about the incident, claiming that a police officer held a gun to Debra"s head "because my whole face was bleeding," but her mother continues to dismiss her story and call her a liar.
Far be it from us to defend Farrah, but when Debra was arrested, cops did note that she had "multiple cuts" on her face.
In the end, Farrah starts to melt down, calling her mother a "stupid ass bitch" and leaving the set.

College Football Fan in Trump Mask Hangs Noose Around Obama
There are Halloween costumes that some consider to be in poor taste…
… such as when Hillary Duff and her boyfriend dress as a Pilgrim and a Native American.
And then there is THIS.
At the University of Wisconsin versus University of Nebrasks football game on Saturday night, two idiots were in attendance.
One was dressed up for Halloween in a Donald Trump mask. The other wore a Hillary Clinton mask on one side of his head and a Barack Obama mask on the other side of his head.
The man in the Trump mask was walking around with a noose around the neck of his friend.
Hilarious, right?!?
Either that… or completely inappropriate, frightening, dangerous and racist.
You can’t make it out in the picture above or the video below, but the person in the Clinton and Obama masks is carrying a sign that says “WHAT DIFFERENCE AT THIS POINT DOES IT MAKE?”
It APPEARS the men were first asked to removed the Obama mask then asked to leave. This was their exit… pic.twitter.com/Xv1UxMOfaW

In response to this horrible incident, officials at Wisconsin released a statement that reads as follows:
During the first half of this evening’s Wisconsin football game against Nebraska, UW officials were made aware that an individual in the seating bowl had donned a highly insensitive and offensive costume.
UW Athletics’ guest services staff were dispatched to the individual’s seating area where they asked him to remove the offensive components of the costume. He complied.
(We can see the cries of “FREEDOM OF SPEECH” being left in our Comments section already, so let us prevent you from sounding like a moron:
Freedom of Speech means you cannot be put in jail for your views. That is all it guarantees. The First Amendment has nothing to do with violating the terms of the agreement on the back of a ticket you purchased that outlines proper fan behavior.)
Continues the University’s statement:
UW Athletics’ policy regarding admission into the stadium with a costume stipulates that no one may be wearing a mask upon entering the facility. Once inside, it is permissible to wear a mask. The costume, while repugnant AND COUNTER TO THE VALUES OF THE UNIVERSITY AND ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT, was an exercise of the individual’s right to free speech.
The university also exercised its rights by asking the individual to remove the offensive parts of the costume.
UW-Madison is dedicated to promoting a campus environment where all people feel valued, safe and able to thrive.
To that end, the university continues to encourage all of our community members to engage in discussion over vital issues in ways that promote greater understanding and respect for all persons.
Go ahead and leave a comment in defense of these fans’ personal freedoms if you wish.
But perhaps consider just who you are defending before you do.
