Woman Gives Birth in Chewbacca Mask, Apocalypse Nears
In May of 2016, a woman named Candace Payne went viral when she filmed herself reacting to a Chewbacca Mask she had just purchased at Target.
And we mean it: she… went… VIRAL.
Within two days, footage of Payne was "Chewbacca Mom" had been viewed over 114 million times, making it the most-watched Facebook Live video of all-time.
She appeared with James Corden on The Late Late Show and she earned serious money through her 15-Plus Minutes of Fame.
So we get it. We get why someone might try to emulate Payne.
We just wish Katie Stricker Curtis had gone about it in a different way.
The Detroit native shared her own Facebook video this week, posting a clip online of herself in a Chewbacca mask.
And also in a hospital bed. Because she was in labor and about to give birth.
Why did she make public a clip of herself screaming with contractions in Chewie"s native language of Shyriiwook?
"Just because I"m about to be a mom doesn"t mean I have to grow up," she wrote along with the video, which has been viewed over 265,000 times.

College Football Fan in Trump Mask Hangs Noose Around Obama
There are Halloween costumes that some consider to be in poor taste…
… such as when Hillary Duff and her boyfriend dress as a Pilgrim and a Native American.
And then there is THIS.
At the University of Wisconsin versus University of Nebrasks football game on Saturday night, two idiots were in attendance.
One was dressed up for Halloween in a Donald Trump mask. The other wore a Hillary Clinton mask on one side of his head and a Barack Obama mask on the other side of his head.
The man in the Trump mask was walking around with a noose around the neck of his friend.
Hilarious, right?!?
Either that… or completely inappropriate, frightening, dangerous and racist.
You can’t make it out in the picture above or the video below, but the person in the Clinton and Obama masks is carrying a sign that says “WHAT DIFFERENCE AT THIS POINT DOES IT MAKE?”

In response to this horrible incident, officials at Wisconsin released a statement that reads as follows:
During the first half of this evening’s Wisconsin football game against Nebraska, UW officials were made aware that an individual in the seating bowl had donned a highly insensitive and offensive costume.
UW Athletics’ guest services staff were dispatched to the individual’s seating area where they asked him to remove the offensive components of the costume. He complied.

Freedom of Speech means you cannot be put in jail for your views. That is all it guarantees. The First Amendment has nothing to do with violating the terms of the agreement on the back of a ticket you purchased that outlines proper fan behavior.)
Continues the University’s statement:
UW Athletics’ policy regarding admission into the stadium with a costume stipulates that no one may be wearing a mask upon entering the facility. Once inside, it is permissible to wear a mask. The costume, while repugnant AND COUNTER TO THE VALUES OF THE UNIVERSITY AND ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT, was an exercise of the individual’s right to free speech.
The university also exercised its rights by asking the individual to remove the offensive parts of the costume.
UW-Madison is dedicated to promoting a campus environment where all people feel valued, safe and able to thrive.
To that end, the university continues to encourage all of our community members to engage in discussion over vital issues in ways that promote greater understanding and respect for all persons.
Go ahead and leave a comment in defense of these fans’ personal freedoms if you wish.
But perhaps consider just who you are defending before you do.

Hilarious Mom Puts on Chewbacca Mask, Internet Falls in Love
Chewbacca doesn"t do much talking in the Star Wars films, but somehow, viewers always know what"s on his mind.
Similarly, bubbly mother of two Candace Payne only needs her infectious laugh and some well-placed sound effects to communicate that she really, really loves her new Chewie mask.
As she tells her "friends on the Internet webs" in the clip below, Mrs. Payne stopped by Kohl"s this week in order to drop off come clothes that were the wrong size.
(They were too big, thank you very much!)
In turns out that the Force was very much with her on this otherwise uneventful day, as it was there that Candace discovered the mask that has made her a viral sensation.
If you"ve had a hard week, we recommend you immediately stop whatever it is that you"re doing and bask in the rays of Candace"s pure childlike joy.
As one Reddit user put it, "I"ve never enjoyed anything as much as this woman loves this mask."
Unless you"re an 8-year-old who"s currently at Disney World, there"s no way your joy level is anywhere near Candace"s.
This is every bit as amusing as the Chewbacca toilet paper dispenser that entertained us more than we care to admit last year.
While Candace makes it clear that the mask is very much hers, she says she will allow her kids to play with it.
However, we doubt they"ll get as big of a kick out of it as she does, so hands off, Duncan and Cadence!
“I’m such a happy Chewbacca,” Payne tells the camera at one point.
We can see that, Candace. We can see that.

Farrah Abraham Posts Church Selfie, Poses in "Facelift Mask," Remains Awful
Last we checked in on Farrah Abraham she was getting blasted by a charitable organization for more concerned with her porn career than with helping to raise money for medical research.
That little public embarrassment (number 1,978,760,438 for Farrah) seems to have inspired a couple of truly cringeworthy selfies.
Worried that people might get the wrong idea, Farrah posted a photo of herself on her way to church (to remind us that she’s a God-fearing, Christian porn star) and another photo in which she wears some idiotic contraption called a “facelift mask” (to remind us that she’s not limited to porn – she’ll do anything for money!)
Yes, Ever since she was kicked out of the Celebrity Big Brother house for making the entire United Kingdom simultaneously facepalm, Farrah has had a lot of time on her hands.
So when she’s not giving her daughter insane amounts of cash for losing her baby teeth, she’s strapping weird, futuristic devices to her face and annoying her fellow parishioners with tales of being corn-holed in front of a camera crew.
Is it news that Farrah is a desperate loser who will hock any item for a buck while at the same time showcasing obnoxious, holier-than-thou persona?
No. But we figured you’d appreciate the reminder.
