One of the nice things that we can say about Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard is that they break Jim Bob’s rules.
Now, Jill is letting her sons watch a Christmas movie that’s about as secular as you can get while, you know, being about Christmas.
She’s having the...

Jinger Duggar Gets Mom-Shamed Again: Enough With the Head Wraps!
Back in July, Jinger Duggar welcomed her first child.
And like so many of her sisters, she’s enjoyed sharing all the joys of her motherhood with her millions of social media followers.
Unfortunately, as with her sisters, many of Jinger’s followers visit her page for the sole purpose of talking trash.
Yes, mom-shaming the Duggars is a favorite activity of many Instagram trolls.
And the folks who engage in this sort of activity really don’t need much to set them off.
They can be triggered by Jessa Duggar’s messy house, Jill’s perceived shortcomings as a homeschool teacher, or even Felicity Vuolo’s head wraps.
Yes, Jinger enjoys putting various forms of headgear on her child, and for reasons we can’t quite figure, a very vocal contingent of Instagram users finds this practice reprehensible.
And the craziest part is, they can’t even agree on why it’s wrong.
At first, Jinger was slammed for cultural appropriation.
As is the case most of the time that term is used, people were angry, but they weren’t really sure why.
Now that that argument has been laid to rest — probably because Jinger’s haters realized no culture can lay claim to the practice of wrapping fabric around a baby’s head — several new ones have emerged.
Jinger recently posted the photo below to Instagram, setting off a whole new round of criticism:
“Felicity helping Uncle Scott with interviews,” she captioned the pic.
Seems innocent enough, but some fans took issue with little Lissy’s hat.
A few speculated that Jinger is planning to launch a children’s fashion line, and she’s “using” Felicity to model her wares.
There’s no indication that’s true, but even if it were … would that really be so bad?
Others simply don’t care for Felicity’s fashion sense.
“Young moms are going overboard with head wraps for their girls all the time,” wrote one.
Another commented that Felicity looks like “an old lady.”
Yes, the kind of people who spend their time insulting babies on the internet are firmly convinced that their voices deserve to be heard.
This is some peak 2018 sh-t right here, folks.
We shudder to think what next year might bring.

Josh Duggar Is Breaking the Law Again: Will He FINALLY Go to Jail?!
When Josh Duggar molested five young girls, he avoided arrest and prosecution with the help of his parents.
In the years since the scandal came to light, many Duggar fans have hoped that the long arm of the law would eventually catch up to Josh.
According to a new report from Radar Online, Josh has once again been caught breaking the law.
But it doesn’t look as though he’ll be imprisoned for his most recent infractions.
The site claims that Wholesale Motorcars in Washington County, Arkansas — which Josh has managed since 2015 — has been operating without a permit for the entirety of his tenure.
“We have one zoning designation in the county to allow single-family residential or agricultural uses,” a planning official in Washington County told Radar.
“Anything else requires a conditional use permit to request a zoning change.”
Officials claim Josh just started a business on non-commercial property without notifying the proper authorities.
When a local fire marshal noticed Josh’s failure to obtain the proper licensing, he reported the father of five.
As we’ve reported in the past, Josh is hated in his hometown, but his father, Jim Bob Duggar, still enjoys a tremendous amount of clout.
As such, Josh was given a second chance to comply with the law.
“The fire marshal wasn’t going to issue any more extensions,” the planning authority told Radar.
“He was requiring that Josh make a good faith attempt, or make effort, toward receiving a review and permit approval, so that’s what he did.”
And so, Josh was given time to apply for the mandatory permits and make the necessary repairs — of which there were many.
Reports indicate that Josh didn’t display the building’s address anywhere on its exterior (a shady detail if ever there was one)/
Also, his property had no smoke detectors and was generally in a state of disrepair.
Of course, the Duggars have violated local zoning laws before, most recently when Jim Bob attempted to open a “luxury RV park” without notifying local officials.
Like Josh, Jim Bob was in no way held accountable for his violations.

Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Support the Troops By Taking Selfies
For many people, one of the most infuriating things about the Duggar clan is their inability to practice what they preach.
They claim devotion to the teachings of Jesus, and yet they dedicate their days to amassing wealth.
They insist on privacy when it’s convenient, yet they’ve made careers out of sharing the details of their private lives on social media.
And, as many have pointed out in recent years, they talk a big game about their support for the US military, despite the fact that none of the Duggar men (and there are many) have ever served a day in the military.
Obviously, you can support the troops without having served in the armed forces, but some folks are accusing the Duggars of supporting the military only in a performative, insincere fashion.
Over the weekend, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard attended a fundraiser for veterans.
Jill posted the above pic, along with the very lengthy caption below:
“To all American military veterans and their families, THANK YOU, we love you and are supporting and praying for you!!! We were able to attend a veteran’s gala hosted by @getitatsamsnwa (thanks @davidlaningham & @sierrajodominguez for your help and @cldilla for watching the boys!)
“It was such a powerful night! Our returning military often fight their greatest battles after they return from the field and it’s our job as civilians to do whatever we can to raise awareness and reach out in support.
“There are so many organizations that help us do just that, one amazing one is the REBOOT Alliance!
“What are your favorite ways to support our troops and their families?
We probably don’t need to tell you that several folks answered that question with something along the lines of “by actually serving in the freaking military!”
The issue of why the family has no involvement with the US military despite their constant talk of supporting the troops is a common subject of inquiry on Duggar-themed message boards.
Responding to the question of whether a Duggar would ever enlist, one fan on the Free Jinger site responded:
“No, never. They’d have to interact with ‘commoners’ plus take orders from someone other than Daddy.”
Others pointed out that serving would put the Duggars in contact with folks who engage in such sinful activities as swearing, smoking, and drinking.
None of this is to say that Jill and Derick were wrong to pose for selfies at a swanky event designed to raise money for veterans.
It’s just odd that there are so many Duggars and none of them seem to have any interest in serving.
Maybe they should get over their fear of f-bombs and Marlboros so that they can serve their country.

Anna Duggar: Did She Get Pregnant to Save Josh"s Career?!
In recent weeks, we"ve been reporting on Josh Duggar"s comeback tour.
While the Duggars have not made their intentions explicit, it seems clear that they"re working toward rebuilding their disgraced son"s reputation in the hope that fans will be able to overlook Josh"s sex crimes.
That seems unlikely, but it"s not stopping Jim Bob and Michelle from pulling out all the stops.
Of course, if the Duggars have learned anything over the years it"s that nothing distracts their fans from scandal quite like a new baby.
And that"s just one reason that Duggar watchers believe Anna is currently expecting her sixth child.

Jill Duggar: I Love Derick Dillard More Than I Love Our Kids!
So Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard …
Things have been pretty weird for them lately, huh?
Well, they’ve been weird for years, but that’s just how things go in Duggar relationships.
Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that things have been different.
It all started several months ago when rumors began swirling that Derick was cheating on Jill.
The rumors started with anonymous claims about his unfaithfulness, then when Duggar fans and haters began to notice, that’s when things really started heating up.
And Jill and Derick haven’t done too much to fight those rumors — quite the opposite, actually.
A couple of months ago, Jill shared a photo of her bible, and everyone quickly noticed that she had an entire passage about adultery highlighted.
In the caption of that photo, she wrote that she was praying for Derick, which … not a great sign.
Last month, she shared another photo of more reading material — this time, she had a book about boundaries and creating them with toxic people in your life.
Interesting, right?
But now, in a brand new post, she’s changing her tune a bit.
And it sure is nauseating.
Along with the photo, she wrote a sickeningly sweet caption that she kicked off with a “man of my dreams” hashtag.
(Sad dreams, Jill, but OK.)
She then thanked him “for being my man and my best friend!”
“Love you!” she continued. “When I count my blessings, you’re at the top of my list!”
“So grateful to God for you!”
She wrapped things up with some kiss emojis and a “so in love” hashtag.
For one, it’s kind of strange that she straight up said that Derick is her number one blessing, huh?
Like, “sorry, Israel and Samuel, Mommy loves Daddy more than you.”
For two, pretty much no one was here for this silliness.
“In what universe does a girl/young woman ‘dream’ of marrying a lazy, bigoted, chronically unemployed grifter who drifts from job to job and resorts to GoFundMe scams to support her and her kids?” one of her followers asked.
Another person said that instead of being the man of her dreams, Derick is more likely “a man of your nightmares!”
“I am not really sure what you see in that man,” yet another doubtful fan wrote.
“He is soo full of himself!! The god I believe in would not hate or chastize a person for being gay or transgender.”
Other people pointed out that everything Jill said is really the kind of thing that would be much more meaningful if she actually said it to Derick instead of posting about it on social media.
Still others insisted that she’s just trying to talk him up because everyone hates him.
One of those people said that “Jill has to make him ‘look good,’ it’s a way of being in denial to herself that she is with the wrong person.”
“But she has no choice bc of her family and their values of marrying strangers and arranged at that.”
But whatever her motivations were for posting this, or however mistaken she may be, Derick is still into it.
“Aw, I’m blessed beyond measure by you babe, and I’ll love you forever,” he responded to Jill on Twitter.
“Thanks for being the best wife and mom to our boys! We all love you so much!”
The thing is that no matter what anybody thinks about any of this, and really no matter what Derick does, Jill is never going to leave him.
And how frustrating is that?
John-David Duggar and Abbie Grace Burnett: MARRIED!
John-David Duggar and Abbie Burnett have finally gotten fo first base.
And now they’re prepared to go all the way…
… as husband and wife!
The couple, who started courting in June and announced their engagement a month later, went ahead and got married on Saturday, November 3.
They confirmed the exciting news to Us Weekly via a statement that reads:
“We are so excited to be married!
“It was a beautiful moment and we so appreciate our friends and family for sharing this day with us. Most of all we are thankful to Christ for bringing us together.
“This is going to be an amazing journey!”
The Duggar family also made the nuptials public by writing a post titled “Husband and Wife!” on its official blog that includes this passage:
“We are overjoyed for the two of them to begin their married life together. We know the Lord has brought them together and will use them to reach many people.
“We are so happy to be surrounded by family and friends and we thank you all for your prayers and support for John and Abbie.”
Many members of his famous family were afraid that John-David would never find a mate, but he seemed VERY into Abbie as soon as the pair made their relationship romantic.
We often heard the two were breaking Duggar courtship rules on the reg, snuggling and even kissing in public.
They just couldn’t keep their hands off each other, according to various reports.
Touching of pretty much any kind before marriage is forbidden by Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
Now, however, nothing is off limits.
We’d have to imagine John-David and Abbie took full advantage of their new status on their wedding night, as they addded a section of their own in the aforementioned blog post.
“We are so excited to be married!” it reads.
“It was a beautiful moment and we so appreciate our friends and family for sharing this day with us.
“Most of all we are thankful to Christ for bringing us together. This is going to be an amazing journey!”
This bride and groom knew of each other for several years before they started courting, although Burnett said over the summer that she “really got connected” to Duggar when the TLC personality visited her native Oklahoma for a church event.
Abbie lives there and works there as a nurse.
In a network-sponsored video, meanwhile, Duggar and Burnett explained that they “fell in love very quickly,” saying together after agreeing to marry in July:
Wow! We are engaged! This feels even more real than before! It was a special moment to share together.
The proposal and the ‘YES’ really solidified that we want to spend the rest of our lives together.
One of the most amazing things about following Christ is being able to trust Him to direct your path and lead your life.
We are so thankful that He led us to one another.
And now He has led them into marriage.
In June, as you likely know, another Counting On family member, Joshiah Duggar, married Lauren Swanson in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
For more details on Duggar and Burnett’s big day, fans will be able can get a first look of the ceremony on November 20 on TLC GO.
And they can also tune in November 27 at 10/9c to see the wedding special on TLC.
Congrats to the newlyweds!

Jinger Duggar Shows Off Adorable Mother-Daughter Twinning Photo
Jinger Duggar has been treating Counting On fans to photos of her adorable little family.
Now, she and husband Jeremy Vuolo are sharing a new photo.
In it, she’s twinning with her 3-month old baby, Felicity.
“Like mother, like daughter,” Jinger captioned the photo that you’re about to see.
In it, the 24-year-old Duggar daughter is wearing a floral headband.
Baby Felicity is wearing a matching headband — it’s just a smaller version for her tiny baby head.
While they’re not otherwise in matching outfits, we think that it still counts as twinning.
(Seriously, finding a baby outfit that matches adult clothing can be tricky)
Besides, the picture is just too cute.
This mother-daughter photo is so cute!
This is the time of year for dressing up in a lot more than headbands, but the Duggar family does not celebrate Halloween.
Michelle Duggar expressed her strong views in a blog post in 2011.
“While we do go to pumpkin patches and corn mazes,” Michelle wrote. “We don’t do the Halloween thing.”
You miss out on a lot of fun and a lot of culture when you grow up in the Duggar household.
“From the beginning of our marriage we just kind of felt like we didn’t want to celebrate that holiday,” she shared.
“But,” Michelle admitted. “We enjoy the harvest celebration.”
“Our church fellowship has had different celebrations through the years that we’ve been a part of,” Michelle continued.
Michelle wrote that these celebrations were “ones where the children can play games and receive candy and toys and do all kinds of fun things, like a cake walk.”
Really, of course, the family’s reluctance to participate in Halloween stems from a desire to isolate the children from any cultural experiences that they consider unbiblical.
In Growing Up Duggar by Jill, Jinger, Jessa, and Jana mention how seriously Jim Bob and Michelle take the supernatural.
“One specific thing that our parents have always been careful about is magic,” the book says. “Which often shows up in children’s movies.”
“As harmless as it may seem, it’s not a joke in God’s eyes,” the girls say.
“Magic, sorcery, witches, spell-casting and the like are all part of the demonic realm that God wants us to stay away from,” the book continues.
“No matter how ‘good’ a film containing magic may seem,” the girls warn. “God speaks seriously throughout the Bible.”
The girls write that “it is not something to be glorified or portrayed by any means as something fun or attractive.”
So we don’t think that Felicity will be going trick-or-treating when she gets older.
Halloween, first of all, tends to glorify a lot of those things — you know, people dress as witches and ghosts.
Also, the holiday itself is based upon an ancient religious festival of the Celtics, that involved honoring the dead while celebrating the year’s final harvest.
While most see Halloween as fairly distinct from Samhain, which some still practice today, to the Duggars, it’s a spiritual threat.
That said, Jeremy Vuolo has shown that he’s less strict than Jim Bob and Michelle.
Just as Austin Forsyth viewed and reviewed the Marvel film, Thor, Jeremy has demonstrated that he doesn’t share their views.
He believes that women can wear pants.
Might he one day allow his daughter to dress up as Batgirl or as a princess?
Maybe we’ll find out.
For now, she’s a literal baby and is perfectly happy wearing a headband that matches her mother’s.
Duggar Kids: Who"s the Biggest Rebel Against Jim Bob"s Ridiculous Rules?
When the Duggars rose to fame in the early 2000s, audiences were drawn to their reality shows primarily because Jim Bob and Michelle had already sired a massive brood, and they seemed to have no plans to put the breeding on hold anytime soon.
As time went on, however, viewers realized that their fertility was not the most unusual thing about the Duggars.
Instead, it was the family"s bonkers belief system that made for such compelling viewing.
From courtship rules to insanely strict dress codes, the Duggars controlled every aspect of their kids" lives, and it was only a matter of time before the offspring started to rebel.
