Chris Soules & Andi Dorfman: Together?!?
Once upon a time, Chris Soules and Andi Dorfman seemed destined to be the next big couple of Bachelor Nation, and fans were rooting for them.
Despite pouring his heart out to Andi to during her season of The Bachelorette, she was not feeling it, and he was eliminated right before the end.
In the live segment of the season finale, she revealed that she was having issues with the idea of living in Iowa and did not want to have to make sacrifices for her.
On top of that, she felt like the relationship lacked a solid foundation, and that’s why Soules eventually came in third place. That was the season Josh Murray won, and we all know how badly things went for the winning couple.
Ever wonder what it would have been like if Chris eked out a victory? Well, we may be about to get an answer to that question since he and Andi have been spotted dining together in New York.
TMZ first shared pictures of the pair indulging in some lunch at The Dubliner, so we do know they have been meeting up with one another, but could a relationship really be on the cards?
A tipster hit up TMZ to reveal that the pair is just friends and that Soules was in town for fellow Bachelor Nation alum Sharleen Joynt’s wedding.
Meanwhile, a report in People claimed the pair have “stayed friendly for years.”
“Andi has always wanted the best for Chris,” the insider says. “She felt terrible for everything he’s been going through.”
In case you’ve been living under a rock, we’ll provide you a little refresher on the matter.
Chris was arrested earlier this year after leaving the scene of a fatal car crash that left Kenneth Mosher dead. The star eventually plead not guilty, and his trial is set for January.
So, there’s every reason to believe that Andi was reaching out to a friend, but could it develop into something more? Probably, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
But wouldn’t their relationship make for a great new entry into the ABC dating series? Could you imagine they actually got together, married and went the full way?
They did have a lot of fans when they were together, but would Andi be willing to relocate this time around? Take note, ABC.
What do you think about all of this?
Would you be glad if they got together?
Sound off below!

Chris Soules Asks Judge to Dismiss Criminal Charge in Fatal Car Accident
Chris Soules says he did everything he was legally required to do at the scene of his fatal accident, and his lawyers have just filed legal docs asking the judge to dismiss the felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident that results in death.…
Chris Soules: Was He Drunk at Time of Fatal Crash?
Chris Soules is already in very big trouble with the law.
As you likely know by now, Soules was arrested last Monday morning for leaving the scene of an accident that left one individual dead.
But the former Bachelor star could be in much, much, MUCH bigger trouble with the law if authorities determine he was drunk at the time of a crash that claimed the life of 68-year old Kenneth Mosher.
This would be the case for anyone.
Being drunk while getting into an accident is obviously worse in the eyes of the law than being sober; it shows one has acted in a far more irresponsible manner
For Soules, however, this piece of information is especially critical because he has an extensive criminal record, including multiple past citations for traffic and alcohol violations.
The ex-reality star could be charged with vehicular manslaughter if he’s proven to have been drinking.
According to various outlets, Buchanan County officials have stated that Soules “possessed alcoholic beverages/containers” at the time of the crash.
Following the tragic incident, however, he didn’t allow officers to enter his home after they obtained a search warrant.
Therefore, many hours passed before his blood-alcohol level was tested at the police station and it’s unlikely it will turn up positive.
Soules has not been charged with any alcohol-related offense at this time, and an insider tells Entertainment Tonight that Soules was not drunk when his truck plowed into Mosher’s tractor.
This same insider provided a few more details regarding what transpired, as well.
“The truck Chris was driving was one of the old work trucks they had on the land there,” the source tells ET. “Not his everyday truck. He was near his land when the crash happened.”
Indeed, Soules was about 15 miles from his farm in Iowa at the time of impact.
“An onlooker stopped, pulled over and told Chris to call 911. So, he did,” the source expounds. “Chris climbed out of his passenger side window and called 911.”
We have a recording of that call.
Lawyers for the star point to it as evidence that Soules did all he could to help the victim, while also providing his name and taking responsibility for what happened.
Listen to the 911 call now:
Soules did flee the scene, however, because he was “in shock” this source alleges.
Critics, though, believe Soules fled in order to go home and sober up and avoid the dangerous charge of DUI.
Either way, a relative who lives nearby was the person who came around and gave Soules a ride home.
Authorities are working to interview this relative and possibly even search his or her vehicle for more evidence.
Chris is currently wearing an ankle monitor as he awaits his next court appearance, which is scheduled for tomorrow, May 2.
He also was asked to turn in his passport, which means he will NOT be filming an ABC special that he was scheduled to appear on outside of the country.
It’s safe to assume this was Bachelor in Paradise.
It’s also safe to assume this is the least of his concerns right now.
Earlier this week, a rep for Soules released a statement that confirms Soules has hired three high-powered Des Moines, Iowa lawyers.
They have asked the public “not to prejudge this case based on media coverage,” while stating their client “acted reasonably” in the aftermath of the crash, citing the above 911 tape as proof.
“My family and I are overwhelmed with this tragedy, but we are sticking together and we’ll get through it,” Soules himself said in a statement obtained by In Touch Weekly shortly after he posted $ 10,00 bail.
“Thank you for reaching out.”

Andi Dorfman Reacts to Chris Soules Arrest: What Did She Say?
Days after Chris Soules was arrested for his role in a fatal car accident, a couple of women who knew the former Bachelor star well have spoken out on the tragedy.
First, Entertainment Tonight talked to Andy Dorfman, the ex-Bachelorette who nearly chose Soules as her fiancee in 2014.
“It’s all very sad,” Dorfman said, clearly still processing the crash that took the life of 68-year old Kenneth Mosher and adding:
“I haven’t talked to Chris yet but, knowing him, I know that he is probably devastated.”
The crash took place around 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, as Soules was driving a pickup truck in Iowa when he rear-ended Mosher in a tractor.
The impact hurled Mosher into a ditch and prompted Soules to call 911. He alerted the authorities to the situation, but proceeded to drve away to his farm, which is located about 15 miles from the accident site.
Soules then refused to let police officers into his home until they obtained a warrant, possibly to give himself time to sober up.
(Authorities confirm the discovery of open beer cans inside Soules’ vehicle, found after they obtained said warrant and took Soules into custody.)
Mosher was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.
“My thoughts go out to [Mosher] and his family, as well as the Soules family,” Dorfman added to ET.
“You never want to hear that a friend has been involved in a horrific, life-altering tragedy like this. I’m just saddened for everyone involved.”
Soules was arrested just after 1 a.m. on Monday and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal car crash that left one individual dead.
Due to his extensive criminal record, the former reality star could be in major trouble if police determine he had been drinking prior to getting behind the wheel.
According to TMZ, he also could be in major trouble (in the form of a vehicular manslaughter charge) if cell phone records prove Soules was texting or talking to someone at the time of the accident.
Law enforcement officials have seized his phone and will be looking at texts, photos, social media posts, along with his call log.
Britt Nilsson, meanwhile, who grew close to Soules on his season of The Bachelor, spoke to TooFab about the incident and issued the following statement.
With a heavy heart, I pray for both men’s families today. I believe that Chris is an upstanding and honorable man, as is now fully coming to light with the discovery of his 911 call.
I found it hard to believe that he would not report the accident, so this new information, revealing that he did call the police to report it, definitely feels more true to character than the original story of a hit and run.
I deeply grieve for the victim and his entire family today, as the shock waves of pain and loss must be almost unbearable. I pray that people respect them, and give them space and time to heal.
I also pray for Chris, as he must be filled with guilt, regret, and confusion. In all our time together, he was nothing but a gentleman and always cared for those around him.
My heart goes out to everyone surrounding and involved in this horrible accident–I pray for peace, reconciliation, and hope in the midst of such a terrible circumstance.
Then there’s Marcus Grodd, who also appeared on season 10 of The Bachelorette with Soules and Dorfman and who told ET that he was “completely shocked by the news,” expounding:
“[Chris] is just a good guy and unfortunately this incident doesn’t reflect who he is as a person.
“People should know he is a fun and charismatic guy and I have only seen him help people constantly.”
We’re not really sure if “fun and charismatic” are the traits Soules would want emphasized about himself in this situation, but we’re sure Grodd didn’t mean any harm.
Soules posted bond on Tuesday and has only said the following through a spokesman thus far:
“Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home. He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away.
“His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family.”

Chris Soules Criminal Record: An In-Depth Look at His Troubled Past
In the most stunning celebrity news story of the week, Chris Soules has been arrested for leaving the scene of a fatal car crash that left one individual dead.
As previously detailed, the Season 19 Bachelor was driving his pickup truck on Sunday night when he rear-ended a tractor on a road near his farm in Iowa.
Soules dialed 911 and reported that a man had been thrown out of the tractor and was now lying in a ditch, bleeding from the mouth…
… but then he drove away and refused to let police officers into his home until they obtained a search warrant.
Several hours after he crashed into 68-year old Kenneth Mosher and killed him, Soules was finally taken into custody and charged with the aforementioned crime.
Authorities say cans of beer were found in Soules’ car, although it’s probable that too many hours elapsed between the time of the accident and the time of his blood test for the latter to turn up positive for alcohol.
Still, pending an investigation, Soules may also be charged with involuntary manslaughter at some point.
For now, he’s free on $ 10,000 bond.
This incident, of course, is as serious as it gets; through his actions, whether by complete accident or whether his judgment was impaired in some way, Chris Soules took a life.
However, if you watch The Bachelor online and/or have followed Soules’ reality TV career ever since his days as a contestant on Andy Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette, you’re likely aware that Soules has frequently run afoul of the law.
There’s nothing in his past this severe.
But there’s enough on record that could impact how this case is handled going forward.
Let’s take a look at all Soules has allegedly done, shall we?
In 2001, he was charged on two separate occasions for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
In January of 2002, he was cited for unlawful use of a license.
Later in 2002, he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident after running a stop sign. (NOTE: this incident was eventually amended from leaving the scene due to defective brakes.)
In 2005, he was charged with Operating While Intoxicated (Iowa’s term for DUI), after which he was fined $ 500; given a 60-day jail sentence; a 58-day suspended jail sentence; and a year of probation.
Moreover, between the years of 2000 and 2012, Soules received a total of seven speeding violations.
On their own, of course, none of these arrests or run-ins with the law are all that serious.
But that’s a pretty long list for one individual to have accumulated, let alone one individual whose history of driving, drinking and irresponsibility may have finally caught up with him.
In deadly fashion.
E! News spoke to legal expert Troy Slaten to determine what sort of legal ramifications Soules could face in light of his latest charges and his lengthy criminal record.
“What it looks like right now, he is facing what is called a Class D felony, which is leaving the scene of an accident causing death,” Slaten says.
“Leaving the scene of an accident causing death is, in and of itself, a felony.”
What if tests do come back that show Soules was over the legal drinking limit? What if his blood-alcohol content is above .08?
“When somebody has a prior conviction for DUI, that can mean a couple of things,” Slaten explains, going into detail as follows:
“It can change a case of vehicular homicide or vehicular manslaughter into murder, and here’s why: Normally when we talk about murder, there has to be some sort of malice or evil intent.
“Getting in an accident is usually not evil… but when somebody has been convicted of DUI [in the past], they’re under a greater understanding of the dangers of drinking and driving because [they’ve] been through DUI classes and special alcohol education.”
Makes sense, right?
And it’s hard to argue with the logic behind these guidelines, no?
The Iowa State Patrol is looking into whether alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
If so, prosecutors may cite “malice” due to Soules’ perceived knowledge of what happens when you drink and drive.
They could say Soules showed an “indifference to human life” by once again getting behind the wheel after imbibing, according to Slaten, would could result in a MURDER charge.
Soules was arraigned (see photo above) on Tuesday, which confirms he’s facing criminal charges.
He also could face civil liability on behalf on the victim’s family.
Mosher was a father of two and is also a grandfather.
Sources say these relatives do not blame Soules for what happened, but that opinion could change if they learn alcohol was in his system.
For now, Soules has simply issued a very straightforward statement through his spokesman. It reads:
Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home. He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away.
His thoughts and prayers and with Mr. Mosher’s family.
Chris Soules 911 Call Released, New Crash Details Emerge
New details have emerged regarding the arrest of Chris Soules on Monday morning.
Some paint the former Bachelor star in better light than initially believed, while others likely won’t do Soules any favors when it comes to public perception.
First, TMZ has obtained the audio of the 911 call Soules made to authorities shortly after his pickup truck slammed into the back of a tractor being driven by a neighbor in Iowa on Sunday night.
The neighbor’s name was Kenneth Mosher; he was 68 years old; Soules reportedly knew him and his family; and he was pronounced dead at a local hospital as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.
As previously noted, Soules drove away from the crash site and was therefore arrested a few hours later on a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal car crash that left one individual dead.
But he did call 911 first.
Soules is clearly out of breath in the call (below), but he remains coherent.
He tells the dispatcher that an accident has occurred and a man has been throw into a ditch.
The ex-reality star goes on to say he checked the man’s pulse… that the man was bleeding from the mouth… and that someone was performing CPR on the victim while Soules spoke to the operator.
Listen for yourself:
It’s apparent others are in the vicinity during the call, meaning there were many witnesses present when Soules fled the scene.
Second, according to audio of a call made by police officers to dispatch, cops were aware from the outset that Soules was the individual who slammed into the tractor.
They phoned the department to say they were in pursuit of Soules and his red pickup.
The third new piece of information, however, is where things get especially sordid and damaging for Soules.
Both TMZ and People Magazine confirm that the former ABC star refused to leave his home after Sheriff’s deputies arrived.
After the aforementioned witnesses identified Soules as the driver, Iowa State Patrol officer drove over to Soules’ home, which is located about 15 miles away from where the accident took place.
Law enforcement officials say two deputies knocked on the door and asked Soules to come out. But he refused.
This is why Soules was not actually taken into custody until just past 1 a.m. on Monday:
Because it took authorities several hours to be granted a search warrant.
Soules was not charged with DUI at the time of his arrest, but officers did find beer cans inside of his truck.
They drew blood from the star after they brought him down to the precinct, but it’s unlikely any alcohol will show up in Soules’ system due to the time that elapsed between the crash and when he was arrested.
Soules, meanwhile, made his first court appearance on Tuesday afternoon at an Iowa courthouse.
He was let go from jail after posting $ 10,000 bond, but not before a prosecutor said the following in front of a judge, in regard to the aftermath of the accident:
“Mr. Soules would not come out of the home. It took hours to get a search warrant to retrieve Mr. Soules from inside of that house in order to continue the investigation. That took hours.
“At no point did Mr. Soules come out of the house, or cooperate with law enforcement at any point in trying to get in contact with him regarding this individual and the [fatal] accident.”
Soules may still be charged with vehicular manslaughter.
An investigation is underway, although it may take up to a month to complete and then the results will then be forwarded to the prosecutor’s officer for a decision.
Following his arrest, Soules issued the following statement through a spokesman:
Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home.
He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away. His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family.

Chris Soules Disappears From Social Media as Whitney Bischoff Reacts to His Arrest
Yesterday, we reported that former Bachelor contestant Chris Soules was arrested for fleeing the scene of a fatal traffic accident.
In the 24 hours since, each new detail that’s emerged has only made the situation even more tragic.
We now know that Soules knew the victim, a 66-year-old farmer named Kenneth Mosher.
Sources close to the case say Mosher was driving his tractor when he was rear-ended by Soules.
His tractor was reportedly forced into a ditch, and Mosher was killed almost immediately when it flipped over.
Attorneys for Soules say the 35-year-old was not aware that Mosher had passed away when he left the scene.
While the fact that Soules fled and failed to contact authorities may mean serious trouble for the former reality star, authorities say there is no reason to believe that Soules was intoxicated or engaging in distracted driving.
After his arraignment Tuesday morning, Soules was freed on $ 10,000 bond.
He’s seemingly in damage control mode today, having deleted all of his social media accounts.
Those closest to Soules, including two of his former Bachelor franchise co-stars are now speaking out on the situation.
Soules got engaged to Whitney Bischoff following his season on the show, but the relationship was soured after the cameras were turned off, and Bischoff is now engaged to a man named Ricky Angel.
But while she has little contact with Soules these days, she still offered some words of support in a statement issued last night:
“This is a very sad situation,” Bischoff told People magazine. “I’m keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers, especially the victim and his family.”
Former Bachelorette contestant Luke Pell says he became close with Soules due to their ties to the franchise and similar backgrounds.
He offered a statement on Soules current situation yesterday:
“Chris by far is one of my closest friends from the Bachelor family. We’ve got similar backgrounds growing up in small towns and everything so we have a lot in common and relate a lot on our backgrounds,” Luke shared with E! News exclusively.
“I’ve gotten to know Chris and he’s just a great guy that loves people who is very sincere and genuine. That’s what hooks me is that, man, I just hate to hear that such a great person is having to go through a struggle like this.”
He added:
“It’s tough and super unfortunate and [I’m] just sad that it happened.”
Pell is taking some flak for his failure to mention the victim, but he’s right that is in indeed a tragic situation all around.
We’ll have further updates on this story as more information becomes available.

Chris Soules Speaks on Fatal Crash, Sends Prayers to Victim
Chris Soules has broken his silence on the fatal car crash that took a fellow motorist’s life in Iowa on Sunday night.
The former ABC Bachelor reportedly rear-ended a tractor trailer with his pickup truck near Aurora around 8:20 p.m., causing both vehicles to fly into a ditch and the driver of the second vehicle to be killed a result.
His name was Kenneth Mosher and he was 68 years old.
Soules is then accused of illegally fleeing the scene, which is why he was placed under arrest at 1:16 a.m. on Monday.
The ex-reality star has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal car accident that left one individual dead.
(He was not charged with driving under the influence, although sources claim Soules was in possession of alcohol at the time of the crash.)
Several hours after this sad news went public, a spokesperson for Soules submitted the following statement to People Magazine:
Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home.
He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away. His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family.
Here is a look at Soules’ mugshot:
According to TMZ, Mosher was transported to a local hospital after the accident, where he was eventually pronounced dead by doctors due to injuries suffered in the crash.
Soules was also treated for injuries, but they are not believed to be serious.
It is also unclear at this time whether Soules turned himself in to the police or whether they apprehended him at home or while he was attempting to make a run for it.
Soules appeared before a judge in Buchanan County Court yesterday morning and was released on $ 10,000 bond, pending trial.
It is believed he actually knew the victim, based on an interview Radar Online conducted with an Iowa resident named Richard Roepke.
“Everyone around here is in shock,” Roepke told Radar, referring to the incident as a “huge mistake” and adding of Soules:
“He knew them, they’re neighbors… We’re feeling very sad, everyone knows Chris’ family.”
Soules came in third place on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette.
He was then named The Bachelor for Season 19, proposing to Whitney Bischoff on an emotional finale and talking openly during his run about a troubled past that included arrests for DUI and other disorderly acts of conduct.
Following The Bachelor, Soules competed on Dancing with the Stars and on a show called Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition.
He disappeared from the spotlight about a year ago, seemingly content to live life as a farmer in Iowa.
In response to this tragedy, Bischoff also spoke People.
“This is a very sad situation,” she said, not mentioning her former fiance by name, yet concluding:
“I’m keeping everyone in my thoughts and prayers, especially the victim and his family.”
Soules and Bischoff called off their engagement in May of 2015, just two months after their on-air proposal and not very long after Soules was eliminated on Dancing with the Stars.
We’ll continue to update this story with more details and further news as it breaks.
For now, we join Soules in sending our thoughts to the friends, family members and loved ones of Kenneth Mosher.
