Allison Mack: New Details Emerge on Sadistic Treatment of Sex Cult Slaves

Former Dynasty star Catherine Oxenberg’s daughter, India, was one of the reported sex slaves within NXIVM and DOS. With the arrest of the cult leaders, that nightmare is over.

Within the organization, women were allegedly blackmailed and branded at the behest of Keith Raniere and Allison mack.

In Catherine’s new book, she shares the harrowing details of what has been revealed to her about life within the nightmarish sex cult. Take a look:

Catherine Oxenberg’s new book is titled Captive: A Mother’s Crusade to Save Her Daughter from a Terrifying Cult.

That might sound like it’s melodramatic or, worse, the title of a Lifetime movie. But having a child trapped in a sex slave cult in which you don’t know what’s happening to them is frightening.

The only thing worse, perhaps, is when you finally learn what is happening. And that is what Catherine did as she consulted with multiple women about what they say happened.

Keith Raniere may be the leader of NXIVM, but Allison Mack was a “master” within the sex-slave cult.

“I would hear from many slaves that Allison was also very territorial about Keith,” Oxenberg writes in her book.

She was allegedly his fanatical servant, determined to please him by selecting women and ordering them to have sex with him.

But apparently this task made her feel jealous of the women who were, after all, obeying her orders.

“And,” Oxenberg writes, Mack “felt threatened and jealous of each woman she sent to have sex with him.”

“Which resulted in her being very punitive and sadistic as a master,” Oxenberg reports.

That makes a twisted kind of sense. If you’re providing someone with lovers because you’re devoted to him, you might also resent those lovers if you feel that you should be the one in bed with him.

Combine that with Mack being allegedly in charge of “discipline” for the slave women and you get a recipe for suffering.

In fact, Mack was said to be an incredibly strict taskmaster.

Oxenberg writes that Allison Mack is “obsessed with penance and weight.”

The slave women were reportedly subject to blackmail and other punishments while required to make themselves “perfect” for Raniere.

“They also had to give collateral every month,” Oxenberg writes. “And keep closely to their starvation diets.”

As we all learned late last year, Mack and the other women are said to keep themselves to starvation diets, limiting their caloric intake to an alarming degree and also exercising.

This is allegedly part of what they need for self-improvement or whatever, which makes it curious that Raniere himself does not do any of that.

Oxenberg also reveals some details of the tasks that Mack would allegedly assign to the slave women.

There was more to it, it seems, than a simple instruction for a woman to bed Raniere.

For one thing, it’s said that Mack would give them permission to enjoy the sex.

Additionally, Oxenberg writes that Mack would instruct the women to “let him take photos of you naked afterward.”

This was apparently “to prove you’ve completed this assignment.

Mack would allegedly order the women with naked photos to “send them to your master.”

Oxenberg apparently learned this from speaking with multiple former “slave women” from NXIVM’s internal group, DOS, which is an acronym for a latin phrase meaning “dominance over the slave women.”

We can only imagine the heartache that she must have felt — and must still feel — knowing that her own daughter was recruited and, incrementally, manipulated step by step until she was one of these women.

The heiress who bankrolled Keith Raniere and NXIVM tried to suggest that the abuse allegations are just sex-shaming, but the allegations aren’t that Raniere engaged in sex.

The allegations are that, through blackmail and brainwashing, Raniere and Mack gave this women no choice but to allow themselves to be branded and bedded at his will.

Nev Schulman Addresses Sexual Harassment Charges as New Details Emerge

Earlier this week, fans of the popular MTV series Catfish were stunned by allegations of sexual misconduct directed at Nev Schulman, the show’s affable creator and host.

It wasn’t the first time that Schulman was accused of behaving inappropriately with a member of the opposite sex, but for many Catfish viewers, the news was shocking nonetheless.

After all, Schulman has made a career of being an advocate for vulnerable people – women, more often than not – who have been mistreated in the context of romantic relationships.

For many, to think that he would be capable of taking advantage of a power imbalance and harassing a woman who trusted him would be tantamount to admitting they’ve been fooled.

At first, details about the allegations against Schulman were somewhat hazy, but today, the 33-year-old addressed the situation for the first time as new information about the charges against him became public.

Though she has not yet confirmed that she is the accuser, several media outlets have identified Ayissha Morgan as the woman who lodged the complaint against Schulman.

Morgan appeared on a 2015 episode of Catfish, and she has since uploaded several YouTube videos detailing the mistreatment she allegedly suffered at the hands of one of the show’s hosts.

“I don’t think you’re a lesbian,” Morgan recalls the host saying.

“I was like, ‘Oh why do you feel that way?"” she says in one of her videos.

“And he was just like, ‘Because I just feel like you haven’t met the right guy yet. Do you think I’m attractive? Have you ever had sex with a guy?"”

Morgan says that when she replied in the negative, the host responded:

“Well I think you should try it, I have a big dick, I would tear your ass up.”

Schulman has issued a statement denying that any such conversation ever took place:

“The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth,” he writes.

“I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions — but these claims are false.”

An anonymous source has corroborated Schulman’s claims, telling E! News:

“The videos include a lot of things are that are disprovable, including the timeline and specific production details. The behavior she describes is inconsistent with Nev.”

Currently, production on Catfish is indefinitely suspended as MTV investigates the allegations against Schulman.

We’ll have further updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.

Mark Vanderpump: New Details Emerge on Death of Reality Star"s Brother

We have an update to the very sad story we posted yesterday about Lisa Vanderpump’s brother, Mark.

As detailed on this website and on other outlets across the Internet, the long-time Bravo star lost her brother back on April 30, with various sources confirming Mark Vanderpump died of a drug overdose.

He was only 59 years old.

Many questions remain unanswered when it comes to this tragic development, such:

  • Whether or not Mark deliberately took too many pills.

  • Whether they actually were pills (or some other drug).

  • Or whether this was an accidental death.

In time, we presume most of these questions will be answered.

For now, however, we can at least turn to Radar Online for an update on what happened to the British DJ.

Contrary to initial reports about his passing, an insider tells Radar that Mark was NOT found dead in his Gloucestershire home.

Instead, he was discovered while unconscious and taken to a nearby hospital.

This is where he passed away.

“He died in a Swindon Hospital and was transferred here on the 1st of May,” a UK official tells Radar.

The official confirmed the Coroner’s Office in Gloucestershire will be carrying out an investigation in the near future, one that will involve an autopsy to confirm an exact cause of death.

We’ll be sure to update readers with the results once they’re made public.

This may not happen any time soon, however.

Mark’s inquest was opened on May 10; and the coroner has scheduled a final court hearing to discuss the findings for cause of death for October 9, 2018.

Until then, we’ll continue to send our condolences to the entire Vanderpump family.

In light of this horrible incident, the veteran Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has released the following statement:

This has come as a shock to us all. My brother and I had connected the day before this tragedy and I was completely unprepared for this.

He was my only sibling and I am shocked and saddened by his passing. I am trying to be supportive to his two young sons that he has left behind, and help them get through this tragedy.

We appreciate your consideration in this private and extremely difficult family time.

Mark and Lisa had a close relationship.

They often went on vacation together and the former often dined at his sister’s famous restaurants.

Lisa has thus far remained very quiet on social media and in public in the weeks since her brother was found dead.

We don’t know when she’ll speak out again, but we can’t imagine the pain she must be in and we hope she takes as much time as she needs to heal properly before doing so.

Prince Toxicology Report: New Death Details Emerge

We’re coming up on the two-year anniversary of Prince passing away.

It still seems impossible to believe, but the legendary musician died at the age of 57 in April of 2016.

Music fans around the world are still mourning his demise.

We learned several weeks after Prince left us that he died of an opiod overdose.

Following a few days in the hospital due to flu-like symptoms at the time, the singer was released to his home in Minnesota that spring…

… where he was eventually found unconscious in the elevator of his famous Paisley Park mansion.

The DEA found prescription bottles in Prince’s possession shortly after his death, with information later coming out that revealed Prince was prescribed heavy doses of Oxycodone just six days before he died.

In addition to the medication found in a suitcase of the artist’s, investigators also discovered opioids in various parts of Paisley Park; and also stored in containers other than pill vials, including vitamin bottles.

Simply put, there were drugs EVERYwhere inside of Prince’s home.

And now we actually have new information about the drug that most likely, most directly led to Prince passing away.

The Associated Press has made public a toxicology report that details the levels of fentanyl flowing through the star’s body on the day he died.

According to this report, the concentration of fentanyl in Prince’s blood was 67.8 micrograms per liter.

What does this mean, exactly? Just how far above the norm is this figure?

The document notes others have died from as little as three micrograms per liter; and as high as 58.

So you don’t need to be a medical expert in order to understand that this was an extreme overdose.

However, the Associated Press did talk to a medical expert – Dr. Lewis Nelson of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School – who referred to the level of fentanyl in Prince’s blood “exceedingly high.”

This would be true even a patient in chronic pain.

Indeed, it is not believed that Prince committed suicide.

It is believed that he simply took far too much medication to deal with whatever health issues had been plaguing him at the time.

(For the record: Fentanyl is an opioid that is used as a pain medication, typically together with other medications, for anesthesia. It has a rapid onset and effects generally last less than an hour or two.

It is 50 times more powerful than heroin.)

No one has been charged in Prince’s death just yet, not the doctor(s) who prescribed the drug or anyone who may have worked for the singer who helped him obtain the medication.

Last week, the lead prosecutor in the county where Prince died said in a statement that he was reviewing law enforcement reports and would make a decision on whether to charge anyone “in the near future.”

May the artist continue to rest in peace.

Luann de Lesseps Arrest: Crazy New Details Emerge!

We have a follow up on last week’s arrest of Luann de Lesseps.

And it’s pretty darn wild!

As previously reported, The Real Housewives of New York City cast member was taken into custody by police after she allegedly flipped out on them while drunk.

The reality star was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer; resisting arrest with violence; and two counts of corruption by threat at the time.

She’s in pretty big trouble with the law.

And we can understand why, considering the details that leaked online yesterday with the release of an official police report.

According to this document, De Lesseps and an unidentified male entered Room 407 at the Colony hotel in Palm Beach while a maid was completing turn-down service late Saturday night.

They were registered guests at the hotel, but were assigned to Room 327.

A security guard went to the room found the twosome in bed, telling de Lesseps that she had to leave.

But she wasn’t feeling it.

Following “multiple attempts to get both subjects to leave over a five minute period,” the guard called for assistance, which prompted a pair of cops to arrive around 9:20 p.m.

Once there, they found de Lesseps and her longtime friend, Julie Olson, in the room.

Both women “appeared to be highly intoxicated,” but at least Olson heeded orders to get the heck out.

Conversely, de Lesseps locked herself in the bathroom and refused to come out, the report outlines.

At last, the Bravo star opened the door (only after the guard started using a key on the lock, that is) – and then allegedly pushed one of the cops in the chest with her palm, prior to slamming the door on his face, “striking him in the forehead.”

Yikes, right?!?

So not cool at all.

lal

After being handcuffed and placed in the back of a police cruiser, de Lesseps actually slipped out of the shackles and attempted to escape, yelling, “I’m going to f-cking kill you” as the cops subdued once more.

We’ll say it again, this time with even more emphasis:

YIKES.

de Lesseps kept claiming that she was “going to f-cking kill all of you” to both policemen as she was brought back to the Palm Beach police station and thrown into a holding cell, the report says.

She was then released without bail on Sunday morning and ordered to appear in court next month.

LuAnn married Tom D’Agostino Jr. on December 31, 2016 in Palm Beach, only to get divorced a few months later.

In a Tweeted apology, she cited this marriage and break-up as the basis for her breakdown.

“I want to offer my most sincere apologies to anyone that I might have offended with my behavior,” she wrote, adding:

“This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being here brought up buried emotions. I am committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018.”

Hey, it can only go up from here for the star!

Lil Peep: New Details on Death of Young Singer Emerge

As previously reported, Lil Peep is dead at the young age of 21.

The popular YouTube star and burgeoning emo artist was found dead on Wednesday night, with initial reports linking his passing to an overdose of drugs.

Specifically, one outlet claimed that Lil Peep took some kind of fake Xanax that was laced with Fentanyl, a powerful opioid.

But no cause of death has actually been confirmed.

TMZ, however, has shared a few disturbing new details about the rapper’s death.

FIRST, the celebrity gossip website writes that Lil Peep’s body was discovered on his tour bus outside a club in Tucson, Arizona, where the artist was scheduled to perform.

SECOND, per law enforcements sources, TMZ says that Peep’s manager is the one who found his body, having gone to check on his client around 9:40 p.m.

There was apparently drug paraphernalia strewn all around him, along with evidence of a possible overdose, which was likely linked to Xanax, as mentioned above.

Is it possible Lil Peep committed suicide?

We hate to speculate on such a delicate topic.

We just know that Peep had shared a photo earlier in the day on Instagram with what appeared to be prescription pills on his tongue.

He wrote this as a caption:

“fucc it.”

Lil Peep had released his first album just three months ago.

Sarah Stennett, the CEO of First Access Entertainment – which partnered with Lil Peep last year – said in a statement:

“I am shocked and heartbroken. I do not believe Peep wanted to die, this is so tragic.

“He had huge ambition and his career was flourishing…

“I have spoken to his mother and she asked me to convey that she is very, very proud of him and everything he was able to achieve in his short life.”

Lil Peep, whose real name is Gustav Åhr, often spoke about his drug use in in his song lyrics.

“I suffer from depression and some days I wake up and I’m like, ‘F-ck, I wish I didn’t wake up,’” Peep told Pitchfork in an interview published in January.

“I don’t express that side of myself on social media. That’s the side of myself that I express through music. That’s my channel for letting all that sh-t out.”

The young artist was romantically linked to Bella Thorne as recently as September.

“Peep you deserved more out of life. Life didn’t do your greatness justice,” wrote the actress on Twitter in the wake of this sad news.

Thorne also shared a pair of videos to Instagram stories, emotionally reacting to Peep’s death in each.

“I just wanted to say anybody out there who is a Lil Peep fan, you guys know how talented he was, you guys know how great he was,” she said.

“Well he was even more f-cking great as a person.”

Added DJ Marshmello, who had toured with Peep this year:

Peep was the nicest person. hanging out with him, talking to him about music, the song ideas we were going to do together and touring was so amazing. Everyone will miss you man.

We send our condolences to everyone who knew and cared about Lil Peep.

May he rest in peace.

Brad Bufanda Suicide: Tragic New Details Emerge

As previously reported, Brad Bufanda took his own life last week.

The 34-year old actor, likely best known to television fans for his recurring role on the first two seasons of Veronica Mars, leaped off the roof of a building early Wednesday morning.

His body was discovered around 12:40 a.m. on South Fuller Avenue in Los Angeles and paramedics were dispatched to the scene.

But there was nothing he could do.

Bufanda was dead when they arrived.

Multiple outlets reported at the time of this sad incident that Bufanda left a suicide note at the scene, although it’s unclear exactly what was written in it.

Now, however, TMZ alleges that insiders close to the actor’s family say Brad also wrote individual letters to relatives and friends just days before he killed himself.

These message arrived the day after Bufanda died.

At least one of the notes thanked the recipient for various deeds the individual did over the years to help Bufanda in a number of ways.

This same report says the suicide note itself listed Bufanda’s parents by name and also expressed gratitude to different people in his life.

TMZ writes that no one close to Bufanda saw this horrible act coming; they had no idea he was suffering.

Bufanda had just wrapped a leading role in a movie titled Stan the Man and had recently auditioned for roles in Avatar 2, Black Jesus and iZombie.

His career, at least, was on an upswing.

But one can never truly know what is going on in another one’s personal life or mind.

Said the 34-year old’s manager shortly after his passing:

“We are completely devastated for he was an extremely talented young actor and wonderful, caring human being.

“He was reviving his career, having just completed two movies, and we are shocked and saddened by his passing.

“The family would appreciate privacy at this difficult time.”

This is what Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas Tweeted in memory of Bufanda:

I’m heartbroken to hear of Brad Bufanda’s passing. He did great work on Veronica Mars. My heart goes out to his family.

Bufanda to Los Angeles from Southern California to pursue a full-time film career after graduating high school in 2001.

May he rest in peace.

Tupac Shakur: New Details Emerge About Suge Knight"s Involvement in Rapper"s Murder

It’s been almost 21 years since Tupac Shakur was gunned down in front of hundreds of witnesses following a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas.

Astonishingly, to this day, no arrests have been made, and fans are forced to rely on increasingly bizarre Internet conspiracy theories    to get an idea of who might have pulled the trigger that fateful day in 1996.

This weekend, a very poorly received biopic about the legendary rapper will hit theaters, and it seems the studio responsible for the film is participating in one of the most cynical marketing campaigns of all time.

This morning, several media outlets are claiming to have new information regarding Tupac’s murder, all of it coming from an “LAPD insider” who chose to remain silent for two decades for reasons that remain unclear.

We’re not questioning the accuracy of the source’s information, but the timing of its release seems more than a little suspicious.

In interviews, the insider confirms a key piece of information that was already widely assumed by fans:

Tupac was heavily indebted to Death Row Records mogul Suge Knight for reasons that went well beyond the music world:

“[Shakur] wanted to get out of jail and he basically signed his life away to Suge [Knight]. He didn’t want to do it, but when he does that they own him,” the source explains,

He adds that Tupac “immediately [became] enemies with the Crips” due to Suge’s association with LA gang Mob Piru, which was “built off of Death Row.”

Rumors about Suge’s involvement in the rapper’s death have been circulating for decades, with some going so far as to accuse Suge’s wife, Sharitha Golden, of murdering Tupac personally.

These days Suge is locked up in connection with a different violent death, and while he may spend the rest of his life behind bars, he’ll almost certainly never be forced to answer for his possible involvement in Shakur’s death.

But the LAPD source tells In Touch that while he believes it was Tupac’s involvement with Suge that got him killed, he does not believe Knight was personally responsible.

Instead, the source says, Tupac’s murder stemmed from a confrontation earlier in the day between Suge’s people and a prominent member of the LA Crips named Orlando Anderson.

“It was simple retaliation: you mess with one of ours, we will mess with one of yours. If Orlando had never been jumped in the hotel, they never would have killed Tupac that night.”

So it’s possible that for all the conspiracy theories, Shakur’s death was simply the result of retaliation by a humiliated gang member.

In a way, the randomness of it all makes the loss of such a beautiful soul and tremendous talent even more tragic.

Danny Dias Death: New, Tragic Details Emerge

We have an update on the unfortunate death of Danny Dias.

As previously reported, the former Road Rules cast member was found dead in his Brooklyn apartment on Monday.

He was only 34 years old.

When this sad news first broke yesterday, very little was known about the circumstances surrounding Dias’ death, although those close to the situation believed the passing was drug-related.

Here’s why:

Friends of the ex-reality star say that Dias took hallucinogens (presumed to have been LSD and mushrooms) over the weekend and then started to panic.

He locked himself in his bedroom as a result.

This same acquaintances tried to urge Dias to come out, but after he continually refused to do so, they left the residence.

They thought Danny simply wanted to be left alone in order to ride out this bad reaction to whatever substance he had taken.

But then two days passed without anyone having head from Dias; therefore, his friends called the police, who eventually entered Danny’s apartment and found his corpse.

Such sad stuff.

According to the latest information, per TMZ and Us Weekly, Dias was found with two vertical lacerations on his forearm.

Authorities are therefore treating the death as a suicide.

The New York Police Department also says that drugs were found at the scene.

“Police discovered a 34-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive,” officials told Us Weekly on Thursday morning, adding:

“The EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene. No criminality suspected at this time. The Medical Examiner is going to determine the cause of death.

“There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.”

Danny Dias Photo

The Linden, New Jersey, native starred on season 13 of Road Rules in 2004 and MTV released the following statement in the wake of his passing:

“We are saddened by the news of Danny Dias’ passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

“Our thoughts are with the Dias family during this difficult time. Danny was a beloved member of the ‘Road Rules’ community.”

Dias majored in music education from 2001 to 2003 at the Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton.

Sources say he actually left the school in his home state after receiving a call from MTV about his Road Rules audition tape.

He then landed a role on the series and turned into a fan favorite, returning after his season was finished to appear on MTV’s The Gauntlet.

He’s the third former MTV reality star to pass away this year:

– Just last month, ex-Rob & Big cast member Christopher “Big” Boykin died.

– Prior to that, former Newport Beach star Clay Adler shot himself in the head.

We send our condolences to the family of Danny Dias and to all the reality stars who left this planet too soon.

May they all rest in peace.

We’ll update this story with more information if or when more news breaks.

For now, we join everyone who knew Dias in expressing our sympathy and in shaking our heads. This sounds like a tragic situation all around.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth: Married or Not!? New Details Emerge ...

After a whirlwind courtship and a friendship of more than a dozen years, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth tied the knot in Arkansas.

Or did they?!

Joy, 19, reportedly was set to become the fifth of Jim Bob and Michelle’s 19 kids to tie the knot, and the fourth daughter to do so.

The Duggar first-born-son-who-must-not-be-named, Jill, Jessa and Jinger walked down the aisle in past years and in that order.

Surprising reports that we would see Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth married this weekend broke just a few couple of days ago.

Initially, a wedding registry attributed to the couple surfaced online, and clearly identified a wedding date – her 20th birthday this fall.

That was either bogus, or they pulled a fast one?

Did Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth go on to tie knot much sooner than anyone, even those close to them, expected, and in relative secrecy?

Were it not for the Duggar Facebook fan page Pickles 4 Truth, we might not have had the slightest heads up about the Forsyth nuptials.

Then again, it may all have been a false alarm.

According to insiders on the ground in Tontitown, it does not appear that the wedding actually took place last weekend after all.

The Duggars did not post any videos from the wedding, nor did they make any official announcements via People magazine.

(That publication is the family’s de facto media mouthpiece that always gets first dibs, as Duggar obsessives know by now.)

In addition, no paparazzi photos were taken of the wedding which, as The Ashley notes, would be almost impossible to pull off.

If there’d been, you know, an actual wedding.

Part of the reason this rumor gained such crazy traction would be that they seemed to have sufficient motivation to fast-track this wedding.

By either hosting a much smaller party, or somehow keeping a giant Duggar Fest a secret from the press, they could save it for TLC.

Ratings for Counting On – returning June 12! – have been on the decline, and a Joy-Anna wedding surprise would be a big time storyline.

Still, it would be nearly impossible to pull off.

The family can, as we saw with Jinger’s wedding, do a lot to minimize photos being taken by outside sources looking to cover the event.

However, keeping the press away entirely, or no media hearing about the event from 1,250 of the Duggars’ closest friends and relations?

A tall order to say the least.

More significantly, a blog run by a Duggar family friend has finally confirmed via its Twitter feed that Joy and Austin did not get hitched.

“It was rumored that Joy and Austin got married on May 20th and they did not,” the blog tweeted. “This was confirmed by a family [member].”

So that’s that. However …

While Joy and Austin have yet to get married, they may still be getting hitched sooner rather than later, based on some real evidence.

The cute couple applied for a marriage license on Thursday, May 11 in Washington County, Arkansas, as documented below.

Per the county’s rules, the license is valid for 60 days after it is issued, meaning that the wedding will take place by July 10!

Joy-Anna Duggar: Married?

That throws a wrench into the theory that the online registry spawned – Joy-Anna getting married on her 20th birthday in October.

Sure, they could apply for, pay for and receive another license after this one expires, and continue to do so as long as they like.

Does anybody actually think like that, though?

Of course not, so sometime before July 10 seems like a safe bet, and possibly on the sooner, rather than the later side of that window.

With the pregnant Jill and Anna Duggar both due to give birth this summer, we’d guess that the nuptials are being fast-tracked.

Third-trimester pregnancies in Arkansas in July? Especially if they’re in the wedding? Call it a hunch, but we’re eyeing early-mid June.

Stay tuned for more on this developing story …

Chris Soules 911 Call Released, New Crash Details Emerge

New details have emerged regarding the arrest of Chris Soules on Monday morning.

Some paint the former Bachelor star in better light than initially believed, while others likely won’t do Soules any favors when it comes to public perception.

First, TMZ has obtained the audio of the 911 call Soules made to authorities shortly after his pickup truck slammed into the back of a tractor being driven by a neighbor in Iowa on Sunday night.

The neighbor’s name was Kenneth Mosher; he was 68 years old; Soules reportedly knew him and his family; and he was pronounced dead at a local hospital as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.

As previously noted, Soules drove away from the crash site and was therefore arrested a few hours later on a charge of leaving the scene of a fatal car crash that left one individual dead.

But he did call 911 first.

Soules is clearly out of breath in the call (below), but he remains coherent.

He tells the dispatcher that an accident has occurred and a man has been throw into a ditch.

The ex-reality star goes on to say he checked the man’s pulse… that the man was bleeding from the mouth… and that someone was performing CPR on the victim while Soules spoke to the operator.

Listen for yourself:

It’s apparent others are in the vicinity during the call, meaning there were many witnesses present when Soules fled the scene.

Second, according to audio of a call made by police officers to dispatch, cops were aware from the outset that Soules was the individual who slammed into the tractor.

They phoned the department to say they were in pursuit of Soules and his red pickup.

The third new piece of information, however, is where things get especially sordid and damaging for Soules.

Both TMZ and People Magazine confirm that the former ABC star refused to leave his home after Sheriff’s deputies arrived.

After the aforementioned witnesses identified Soules as the driver, Iowa State Patrol officer drove over to Soules’ home, which is located about 15 miles away from where the accident took place.

Law enforcement officials say two deputies knocked on the door and asked Soules to come out. But he refused.

This is why Soules was not actually taken into custody until just past 1 a.m. on Monday:

Because it took authorities several hours to be granted a search warrant.

Soules was not charged with DUI at the time of his arrest, but officers did find beer cans inside of his truck.

They drew blood from the star after they brought him down to the precinct, but it’s unlikely any alcohol will show up in Soules’ system due to the time that elapsed between the crash and when he was arrested.

Soules, meanwhile, made his first court appearance on Tuesday afternoon at an Iowa courthouse.

He was let go from jail after posting $ 10,000 bond, but not before a prosecutor said the following in front of a judge, in regard to the aftermath of the accident:

“Mr. Soules would not come out of the home. It took hours to get a search warrant to retrieve Mr. Soules from inside of that house in order to continue the investigation. That took hours.

“At no point did Mr. Soules come out of the house, or cooperate with law enforcement at any point in trying to get in contact with him regarding this individual and the [fatal] accident.”

Soules may still be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

An investigation is underway, although it may take up to a month to complete and then the results will then be forwarded to the prosecutor’s officer for a decision.

Following his arrest, Soules issued the following statement through a spokesman:

Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home.

He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away. His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family.

Mary Tyler Moore: New Death Details Emerge

As previously reported, Mary Tyler Moore died on Wednesday afternoon at the age of 80.

The legendary actress had been admitted to a Connecticut hospital last week and, according to TMZ sources, spent her final several days on a respirator.

She died with her husband of 33 years by her side.

While no cause of death has been determined as of this writing, People Magazine now confirms that Moore had been placed under doctor’s with pneumonia due to complications from her diabetes.

She was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 33 and dedicated a chunk of her life to educating the public about that disease.

In May of 2011, the beloved star underwent elective surgery to remove a benign tumor of the lining tissue of the brain.

“I do have problems with my eyes, one eye in particular, and if I fall, I generally break a bone,” she told The New York Times a few months after this procedure.

Friends have said that Moore’s health, specifically her eyesight, kidneys and heart, took a turn for the much worse in 2014.

Moore earned an Oscar nomination in 1980 for Best Actress for the film Ordinary People.

But she was best known and most influential for a pair of memorable television roles:

  1. Housewife and homemaker Laura Petrie on The Dick Van Dyke Show from 1961–66.

  2. Minnesota reporter Mary Richards on The Mary Tyler Moore Show from 1970–77.

She last acted on an episode of Hot in Cleveland in 2013.

For the past few years of her life, Moore took on advocacy roles for two causes close to her heart: animal rights and juvenile diabetes research.

Moore was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Screen Actor’s Guilt Awards in 2012 and talked about how she used her father’s middle name for work because there were six mother Mary Moores belonging to the union when she started working.

She made her dad happy with that gesture, “and tonight,” she told the audience, “after having the privilege of working with the most creative and talented people imaginable, I, too, am happy, after all.”

CBS has scheduled a special titled Mary Tyler Moore: Love Is All Around for 9/8c tonight.

It will be anchored by Gayle King and it will will feature archival footage of Moore at work on The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Mary Tyler Moore Show, along with interviews with Oprah Winfrey and other admirers of Moore’s work.

In light of Moore’s passing, meanwhile, close friend and former colleague Dick Van Dyke paid tribute to the icon on Instagram.

There are no words. She was THE BEST!” he wrote. “We always said that we changed each other’s lives for the better.”

In addition to the message, Van Dyke included a link to a video of the on-screen couple performing “I’ve Got Your Number.

As you can see above, a slew of stars also honored Moore yesterday on social media.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about Moore, Van Dyke added:

“I don’t know what made her comic timing so great. On Dick Van Dyke, we had Morey Amsterdam and Rose Marie, both of whom were old hams and had razor-sharp timing, and mine wasn’t bad either.

But Mary just picked it up so fast. She had us all laughing after a couple of episodes.

“She just grabbed onto the character and literally turned us into an improv group, it was so well-oiled. That show was the best five years of my life.”
