Angela Simmons Mourns Murder of Ex-Fiance, Father of Her Son
Tragedy has struck close to home for Angela Simmons.
According to The Atlanta Police Department, officers responded around 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 3 to gun shots fired around a home in the southwestern part of the city.
A victim, who authorities did not identify at the time, was subsequently found with multiple gun shots inside an open garage.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed that that deceased was Sutton Tennyson, the former fiancé of Simmons and the father of this Growing Up Hip Hop star’s son, Sutton Jr.
He is pictured above with his child and with Angela and he was 37 years old when he died.
Based on a preliminary investigation, the aforementioned shots were fired after a conversation with another male escalated into a serious argument.
After firing multiple shots, the suspect then “sped from the scene in a car,” police wrote in the official report.
On Sunday morning, the Growing Up Hip Hop cast member – who is the daughter of Run D.M.C.’s Rev. Run – shared a series of emotional tributes to Tennyson, starting with the photo below.
“Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift . I’m hurting . I’m numb. Thank you for the out pouring of love everyone,” reads Angela’s caption to this image.
“I cant believe I’m even saying Rest In Peace Sutton,” she added. “I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise.”
Sutton Jr. is only two years old.
Simmons then went ahead and posted a video of her son looking at videos of his dad. It’s heartbreaking.
“Reflecting,” her affiliated message reads. “He keeps replaying it RIP Sutton.”
“We made an angel,” Simmons wrote alongside the snapshot here, adding of another image:
“Rest easy Sutton.”
Elsewhere, Angela’s’ siblings also shared condolences on social media.
Her sister, Vanessa Simmons, said she was “literally at loss for words my heart breaks for my sister and nephew .. RIP Sutton.”
And there was this from Simmons’ brother, Joseph Simmons.
He penned a lengthy post that read, in part, “I’m here to be the man for your son to look up to and call whenever he needs me ! #RIPSutton @angelasimmons I GOT YOU.”
Simmons confirmed her split from Tennyson in December of 2017.
As you can see by these photos, however, he remained a vital part of his son’s life.
We send our condolences to the friends, family members and loved ones of Sutton Tennyson.
May he rest in peace.

Cardi B: I Could MURDER Nicki Minaj With Diss Tracks ... But I Won"t
Last month, Cardi B literally attacked Nicki Minaj. Words flew, and so did shoes. This beef is intense.
Fortunately, Cardi’s next planned attack will be in the form of music, not projectiles. And her diss track is coming along.
But apparently her lyrics are so biting and insulting that her own crew is begging her to tone it down.
Cardi B is not happy with Nicki Minaj.
This time, at least, her feud is going to be channeled into music.
That’s what the fans want, and it should also help Cardi avoid getting arrested for assault again.
But TMZ reports that though a lot from the diss track has been recorded, the people around Cardi are imploring her to remove some lyrics.
The reason? Her lyrics are just too vicious.
In fact, apparently some members of Cardi B’s team worry that this could backfire.
Not every diss track destroys its intended target.
Their fear is that Cardi’s lyrics might actually help Nicki, potentially by boosting her public image.
This could mean that the lyrics are so cruel that people will feel sorry for Nicki.
It could also mean that Cardi could just be giving Nicki more attention.
Cardi’s team feel that her career has already surpassed Nicki.
Between Cardi’s baby and secret marriage and even her arrest weeks ago, she is big news this year.
People still listen to “Bodak Yellow,” but it’s been a little while since Nicki had that level of undeniable social relevance.
Her team’s analysis says that ignoring Nicki is the best way to keep her down.
As for Cardi, though, she is said to feel that the only way to “keep it real” with her music is to really lay into Nicki.
Cardi is big on authenticity.
TMZ notes that Nicki and Cardi have not met face to face since their messy fight at the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS Party.
That sounds like it is for the best.
In the aftermath, Nicki threated to literally murder Cardi, which is a hell of a thing.
Cardi vowed to whoop Nicki’s ass, of course.
Sometimes it is difficult to see where brand-mandated posturing ends and genuine loathing begins.
But this feud looks like the real deal.
Cardi’s recent arrest for assault was not over her blowup with Nicki.
Instead, it was over the alleged incident in which Cardi B ordered the beating of a pair of strip club employees.
Two women, who are sisters as well as bartenders at a strip club, say that they were assaulted by Cardi’s entourage.
One woman, the real target, said that she had been attacked by people close to Cardi before, she believed on Cardi’s orders.
The reason for the attack was apparently that Cardi believed that one woman had banged her husband, Offset.
Ordering an assault because you suspect cheating is, needless to say, never okay.
Death threats, literal fights, and assaults are toxic.
In the rap world, these kinds of feuds can get people killed. Neither Cardi nor Nicki could actually want that, right?
Lyrics might just be words, but it could be an escalation that keeps this feud from dying.
We’d love to hear Cardi’s diss tracks and Nicki’s clapback, of course.
But we hope that all of this animosity stays on people’s music and doesn’t spill over into real life — again.

American Horror Story Recap: Return to Murder House
American Horror Story was all about giving fans what they wanted on Wednesday night.
By that, we mean there was a return trip to the Murder House from American Horror Story Season 1 as Madison and Behold continued their mission to find out everything they could about Michael Langdon.
Posing as the most fabulous married couple of them all, they had to fool the realtor into proving they were seriously interested in buying the house.
As such a wire transfer was made, taking the house off the market and allowing the two to enter the walls of the home that housed 36 ghosts.
Behold, and Madison had to do a spell to allow them to see the ghosts because the souls were able to decide when they could be seen by mortals.
We quickly learned that Constance Langdon, Michael’s grandmother, was dead, and there was a huge hint that she took “the coward’s way out,” courtesy of Moira.
“I’m Constance Langdon, and this is my f–ing house!” shrieked Constance, marking Jessica Lange’s first episode with the series in four years.
The mother of Tate went on to say that if they wanted the goods on Michael, they had to do something for her:
Get rid “that insufferable, cloudy-eyed ginger.”
And that they did. The dug up her bones and planted them in the same plot of land as her mother’s corpse. It brought Moira’s storyline full-circle and allowed her to pass on to what came next with someone who was actually happy to see her.
As for Constance’s end of the bargain, she spilled all the beans, and much of it was to be expected. She tried her best to keep Michael’s murderous instincts at bay.
In fact, she went as far as planting a rose bush above every single animal he skewered, but that got difficult when he graduated to the big leagues and started offing humans.
He even had a decade-length growth spurt one night, allowing him to become stronger. But Constance realized he was going to wind up killing her, so she headed over to the Murder House with some pills and a bottle of whiskey.
“That’s what I call a bon voyage!” Constance laughed as she told the two witches the chilling tale. Constance decided against revealing her spirit to her grandson because she was too damaged following everything.
However, Ben Harmon was on hand try and make a connection with the child who didn’t exactly have the best start in life.
What followed were heartwarming scenes of Ben trying to make Michael be the best man he could be, but he drew the line for good when Michael opted to slice and dice two women who moved into the house.
As if that was not bad enough, he sent their souls away from the world, thus ousting their lives in both places.
That’s when Viven showed up to continue the trip down memory lane revealing that there was always something amiss with the child and that she believed he was the Antichrist.
“I never stopped loving you,” Ben said after we learned Vivien has been steering clear of him.
“I know, but I never stopped hating him,” Vivien responded.
Everything changed for the worse when a cult showed up at the house to worship Michael, confirming all of their worst fears.
Micheal feasted on the heart of a girl Miriam kidnapped after offering her a ride. That’s when a mysterious shadow appeared behind him, confirming he was indeed the villain of this story.
Vivan decided enough was enough and tried to kill him, but he turned the tables and attempted to take the women who birthed him out of the equation.
In a truly surprising scene, Tate showed up and saved her. We also learned that Tate was not taking anything to do with the child despite him being his father.
“You didn’t spring from my nut sack! Not even I could create something as monstrous, as evil, as you!” he yelled at Michael when he showed up in his room.
Speaking of Tate, he and Violet’s relationship was essentially over. Violet couldn’t look at Tate after everything he did, but Madison managed to talk to her.
She said that Tate was possessed by the evil inside the house. Could that be the case? Maybe, but it all felt a little too convenient.

Bridalplasty Murder: Man Convicted of Killing Lisa Marie Naegle
In December of 2016, former Bridalplasty contestant Lisa Marie Naegle was found brutally murdered.
It has been nearly two years, but the murderer has been convicted.
He was the last man with whom she was seen alive.
People reports that a man named Jackie Jerome Rogers has been found guilty of Lisa Maria Naegle’s appalling murder.
The court found that on the night of December 18, 2016, he murdered Naegle in his car.
Investigators believe that he killed her by striking her at least eight times with a hammer while the two of them were both in the vehicle.
He then buried her body in a shallow grave in his own backyard.
The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed the results of Rogers’ trial.
Naegle and Rogers had been having an affair at the time.
Rogers was 34 and her former student.
Just hours before her grisly murder, the two attended a friend’s birthday party at a restaurant in Torrance, California.
That, investigators discovered, was the last time that anyone but Rogers saw Naegle alive.
On Monday, September 24, Rogers was charged with First-Degree Murder.
Though Naegle became famous for her role as a reality star contestant on Bridalplasty, in real life, she had a job.
She worked as a nurse.
When she did not show up for work the following, that set off alarm bells with her coworkers and family.
Friends attempted to file a missing person’s report right away.
Unfortunately, they were told that they needed to wait 72 hours before an adult’s absence became an emergency.
As we now know, Naegle was already dead at the time.
Still, even before the police investigation began, friends and family had a lot of questions for Rogers.
He claimed to have left Naegle at the restaurant because he felt tired.
That did not add up.
Then, video surveillance showed that Naegle had left the restaurant with Rogers.
Rogers changed his story, claiming to have dropped off Naegle at a gas station.
No one was buying it.
Rogers became visibly upset at this point.
It can seem cruel that it took nearly two years for Naegle’s murderer to be convicted, but the justice system rarely moves swiftly.
We hope that this news gives her family the closure that they need.

Does How to Get Away with Murder know what viewers want?
It certainly seemed that way on How to Get Away with Murder Season 5 Episode 1 which gave birth to a whole new mystery that is poised to find another key player getting, well, murdered.
The murder in question takes place at Connor and Oliver’s wedding, and based on the slap Annalise hurls at Frank upon hearing about the unlucky player bleeding out on the snow, she’s pissed about it.
Before we got much in the way of answers, this series went back to the beginning of the school year.
A brand new year at Middleton University got underway, but there was a striking difference from the previous year:
Annalise Keating was back, and in good graces with the faculty.
Did you really think her Class Action lawsuit against the justice system was going to result in her retiring?
Um, no. Annalise returned… with new wigs, and the same old attitude.
Celebrating her return to the school, she admitted off the bat that there would be a brand new clinic and that the surviving original members were not guaranteed a spot.
That meant, Asher, Connor, Michaela, and Laurel aka the core four who have been associated a little too heavily with all the previous murders would have to impress her if they wanted to remain part of her team.
Frank wanted to be part of the class, but he was relegated to the waitlist. Is he really wanting to be part of this class to find out more about the elusive Gabriel Maddox?
It sure seemed that way, but anything is possible with this show. Speaking of Frank, he was getting a little too comfortable with Laurel staying at his.
It led to them having lots of sex. Frank was all too happy to throw his clothes off at any given moment, but there was heartbreak in store for him.
Laurel decided it was best to move out before things got too serious. That’s when Frank got down on one knee and actually proposed to her.
Did Laurel accept this offer to be with a man who murders when the going gets tough?
Nope. She dumped him and moved in with Connor, Michaela and Oliver, so there’s that.
The only silver lining in all of this was that he got to be Cristopher’s godfather. It seems Laurel is not quite ready for a relationship, you guys.
In the meantime, Frank wanted to know what Gabriel Maddox was up to and whether he was this kid who was supposed to be dead.
Thankfully, Frank was on hand to pull some strings. Even when this dude is away from Annalise, he still manages to find himself in crazy situations.
He learned that Gabriel was the kid, but we never learned whether he was the child of Annalise or the child of Bonnie.
This show certainly knows how to keep viewers wanting more.
Annalise made her decision about the clinic and left Asher out in the cold.
The reason?
She’s tired of hearing about him pining after Michaela. In her eyes, he needs to grow up and stop acting so god damn childish.
Simply put, Annalise had a lot on her mind. She needed to find the right law firm to support her clinic.
That meant fielding a lot of offers that would rake in a lot of $ . Just when it seemed like she was ready to get what she wanted, she was dropped like a hot potato from every firm.
Taking on the justice system came back to bite her in a huge way.
That’s when she returned to Caplan & Gold with a brand new offer. When they declined, she stormed out of the building.
But she later got a call saying she should return to sign on the dotted line. Annalise has still got it, it seems.
The final scene featured the biggest bombshell of the night:
The person bleeding out on the snow was right next to baby Christopher.
Could it be Laurel?!
Would the show really kill off Laurel?
We’ll need to tune in this fall to find out!
