Bridalplasty Murder: Man Convicted of Killing Lisa Marie Naegle

In December of 2016, former Bridalplasty contestant Lisa Marie Naegle was found brutally murdered.

It has been nearly two years, but the murderer has been convicted.

He was the last man with whom she was seen alive.

People reports that a man named Jackie Jerome Rogers has been found guilty of Lisa Maria Naegle’s appalling murder.

The court found that on the night of December 18, 2016, he murdered Naegle in his car.

Investigators believe that he killed her by striking her at least eight times with a hammer while the two of them were both in the vehicle.

He then buried her body in a shallow grave in his own backyard.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed the results of Rogers’ trial.

Naegle and Rogers had been having an affair at the time.

Rogers was 34 and her former student.

Just hours before her grisly murder, the two attended a friend’s birthday party at a restaurant in Torrance, California.

That, investigators discovered, was the last time that anyone but Rogers saw Naegle alive.

On Monday, September 24, Rogers was charged with First-Degree Murder.

Though Naegle became famous for her role as a reality star contestant on Bridalplasty, in real life, she had a job.

She worked as a nurse.

When she did not show up for work the following, that set off alarm bells with her coworkers and family.

Friends attempted to file a missing person’s report right away.

Unfortunately, they were told that they needed to wait 72 hours before an adult’s absence became an emergency.

As we now know, Naegle was already dead at the time.

Still, even before the police investigation began, friends and family had a lot of questions for Rogers.

He claimed to have left Naegle at the restaurant because he felt tired.

That did not add up.

Then, video surveillance showed that Naegle had left the restaurant with Rogers.

Naegle footage

Rogers changed his story, claiming to have dropped off Naegle at a gas station.

No one was buying it.

Rogers became visibly upset at this point.

It can seem cruel that it took nearly two years for Naegle’s murderer to be convicted, but the justice system rarely moves swiftly.

We hope that this news gives her family the closure that they need.

Corey Sligh, Ex-Young and the Restless Star, Convicted of Child Molestation

Corey Sligh, an actor who formerly worked as an extra on soap operas such as The Young and the Restless, All My Children and Days of Our Lives, has been found guilty of molesting a young girl in Georgia.

According to local news outlet The Cherokee Tribune, the 30-year old was found guilty on June 28 of inappropriately and illegally touching a child younger than 10 years old.

The actor and model also is also awaiting trial on similar case in Florida.

Bill Bishop, chief assistant state attorney for Okaloosa County in Florida, says Singh faces one count of lewd and lascivious molestation, which carries a sentence of 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

For the current conviction, however, Sligh faces five to 20 years behind bars.

No sentencing date has been set for him just yet.

Sligh was arrested in his hometown of Canton, Georgia in November of 2016.

At the time, he was charged with the two counts after the parents of a young girl reported to authorities that the actor allegedly touched their daughter and forced her to touch him inappropriately.

The alleged incident took place in March of that same year and was reported to the police in September.

It is unclear just how many times Sligh allegedly molested his victim in Georgia.

“Corey Sligh maintains his innocence,” his lawyer told E! News, adding:

“The jury found him not guilty on Count 1. The jury compromised to guilty on Count 2 after deliberating for days and requesting to be hung and released from service.”

The part-time actor recurred on the aforementioned dramas as a waiter and a bartender.

However, Sligh is also known for an unusual, violent incident that made him a victim back in November of 2014.

In this instance, Sligh claimed that he and his girlfriend were randomly attacked while delivering Thanksgiving meals, resulting in serious injurites and hospital trip for the star.

This is a photo he shared of himself afterward:

Weeks after his Georgia arrest, meanwhile, Sligh was arrested and charged with one count of lewd and lascivious molestation stemming from another incident involving another girl under the age of 10.

Florida Police said her mother told authorities that her child said Sligh touched her inappropriately and forced her to touch him while they were vacationing in Rosemary Beach.

It was basically the same actions he was accused of  in Georgia.

“There is an allegation in Florida by the same person alleging the same conduct,” his attorney explains.

“The Florida evidence was presented in the Georgia trial to further bolster the State’s case. Corey had 30-50 family and friend supporters in court every day during the trial.

We, including his wife, stand behind him still. We hope that Corey’s exemplary reputation and character prior to this allegation will be considered in sentencing.

“The conviction will be appealed regardless of sentence.”

We’ll update this gross story with more details as they come in.

Lincoln Adim, Current Bachelorette Suitor, Convicted of Assault

Another week, another Bachelorette-based scandal.

And we’re not talking this time about who Becca Kufrin kissed and/or who she sent home on the latest episode of this ABC hit.

Instead, we’re talking about more scandalous behavior by one of the men vying for the heart of this season’s Bachelorette.

Following the reveal that Garrett Yrigoyen had shared many gross and inappropriate Instagram messages not long before he was cast on Season 14, we can now report that Lincoln Adim was convicted of indecent assault and batter…

… mere days before the new season premiered last month.

The conviction took place on May 21, with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office saying that Adim – who remains on the show through Episode 4 – groped and assaulted a woman in May of 2016.

He was ultimately given two years probation for these acts.

Press Secretary Jake Wark of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office has said the following to the media about what transpired with Lincoln in this case:

“The judge ordered him to stay away from the victim and attend three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week during those two years.

“If he complies with the judge’s orders, he will not have to serve out his term, but if he fails to comply with those orders or re-offends, he could be ordered to serve out the year behind bars.”

So… a current suitor on the current season of The Bachelorette may face prison time for his inappropriate and illegal actions on board a cruise with a fellow passenger?!?

This is NOT a good look for the series.

Former Bachelor contestant Ashley Spivey wrote on Twitter Wednesday that she was disappointed in ABC and The Bachelor for permitting Adim on the program.

“I am honestly horrified that Lincoln, who was charged with indecent assault and battery, was allowed to go on the show,” wrote Ashley, adding:

“I do not understand how a serious crime like this was missed during background checks.”

It’s a pretty good question, isn’t it?

Spivey did later qualify her stance.

She said that she doesn’t think ABC purposely let someone with this history on the series; she doesn’t think this was some ratings ploy.

She just chalks it up to negligence instead.

“Let me be clear that I do not think production would ever allow this for drama purposes,” added Spivery.

“I really think it is a huge problem for whoever does the background checks into the contestants.”

spivey tweet

By law, the district attorney’s office adds of Lincoln, without providing exact details of what the reality star did, “he is expected to register as a sex offender.”

Yikes.

Last month, Yrigoyen apologized after garnering backlash for Liking offensive posts on social media that mocked the transgender community, a Parkland high school shooting survivor, undocumented immigrants and more.

Kufrin came out and defended Garrett in the wake of this scandal.

“I want viewers to be open to everyone, and I want them to go through this season with me and watch my love story unfold with all of these men,” she said a few weeks ago. “Because that’s how I went into this journey.

And we think we know why she said this.

Visit our section of The Bachelorette spoilers and you’ll know why as well!
