Derick Dillard Sounds Off: All Women Should Be Allowed to Wear Pants!
The Duggar family is nothing if not resistant to change, but it appears that even the controversial Counting On clan is beginning to make minor concessions to the forces of social justice and women’s rights.
Of course, it’s important to note that when we say “minor concessions,” we’re talking very minor concessions.
Like, “women are allowed to wear pants” minor.
Yes, as you may have heard, the Duggar women wear pants now.
It all started with Jinger Duggar, who wore pants in an Instagram photo last year, thus sigling to her oppressed sisters that it was time to break free of their floor-length denim shackles and free the knees.
And to their credit, some of her siblings have followed suit.
These days, both Jessa and Jill Duggar wear pants on a regular basis.
In fact, Jill wore pants for a speaking engagement at a school this week!

There was a time when the such a sight would have Michelle Duggar looking for the nearest fainting couch and Jim Bob attempting to beat the image out of his head with the family Bible.
These days, however, the Duggars are a lot more relaxed–chill, you might even say–about allowing women the basic human right to wear comfortable clothing.
Those who are familiar with the family’s belief system say that the reason Jinger, Jessa, and Jill are allowed to wear pants is because they’re married, and their husbands allow them to dress that way.
That’s been the accepted narrative for so long now that fans were a bit surprised to hear Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, refute it today.
Of course, Derick only expressed these views after being called out as a patriarchal egomaniac on Twitter.
“Here’s your ‘oxymoron,’ Derick. It’s sad but true that well-behaved women rarely make history, but isn’t that what you want and teach the women who follow your cult?” wrote the user.
“No, I don’t believe or teach that…The Bible says nothing about wearing skirts or having a certain [hairstyle] to be saved,” Derick shot back.
So wait … the Duggar dress code isn’t a real thing?
Why didn’t anyone tell us this years ago?!
Oh, wait, they did and they totally confirmed that it’s a real thing.

Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard: Will They Ever Be Allowed to Adopt?!
In recent weeks, Derick Dillard has made waves and angered both his famous in-laws and his former bosses.
As a result, Derick was fired by TLC after harshly criticizing transgender teen Jazz Jennings on Twitter.
The reaction against his unprovoked bullying campaign has been swift and harsh, but now it looks as though Derick mght not be through suffering the consequences of his foolish remarks.
As fans are no doubt aware, Derick and Jill Duggar have talked about adoption on several occasions.
Obviously, the couple has kept busy making biological children in recent years, but they seem to believe that the adoption option remains open to them should they ever decide to take advantage of it.
However, should they ever initiate the process, they may learn that that’s simply not the case.
As In Touch Weekly points out Jill and Derick may have hurt their chances for adoption with their recent conduct.
Adoption agencies–particularly international agencies, of the sort in which Jill and Derick have expressed interest–often factor in the social media activity and political and religious views of prospective parents when making their decisions.
Jill has not publicly espoused Derick’s transphobic views, but she has stated that she fully supports her husband in all matters.
That loyalty could work to her detriment if she and Derick ever decide to adopt.
Of course, thus far, several Duggars have spoken at length about adoption, but none has actually initiated the process.
Fans have expressed annoyance with those circumstances, arguing that it’s beginning to look as though the famiy simply enjoys the adulation they receive from fans when they talk about adoption, but would never actually take an adopted child into their home.
Jill and some of her sisters have also discussed the idea of becoming foster parents, but that seems even less likely.
Agencies that match foster children with families often have strict rules with regard to disciplinary practices and the sort of beliefs that foster parents are permitted to instill in their charges.
And it seems unlikely that the Duggars would be willing to comply with by which all foster families must comply.
“Because of the trauma these children have endured, the agency does not allow corporal punishment,” reads a page on the Foster Family Home Inquiry website.
“Foster parents will need to recognize the religious beliefs of the foster child and support them in exercising their religious beliefs.”
The Duggars would likely be unwilling to accept a situation in which they were unable to use corporal punishment (the family’s fondness for “blanket training” has been well-documented) or impart their own unorthodox beliefs to children living under their foor.
Ironically, all the talk of adoption and fostering that was supposed to highlight the Duggars’ benevolent side is bringing all their most controversial ideas and practices to the forefront.

Prince Harry & Meghan Markle: Are They Even ALLOWED to Get Married?!
As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to be headed for the altar.
Rumors about Harry and Meghan getting engaged have been circulating pretty much from the day they started dating.
On several occasions, we’ve been told that Harry had popped the question and an official announcement was imminent.
Each time, of course, the royal decree that Suits is now the official legal drama of British Empire never happened, and like clockwork, we were greeted with a wave of explanatory follow-up rumors.
Some claim Harry and Meghan are already enagaged, but holding off on making an announcenment.
Others insist Harry is waiting for a special occasion to propose, the date of which keeps getting pushed back in order to suit the narrative (many currently have it at Christmas).
And then there are those who believe Harry and Meghan are facing a roadblock that neither of them anticipated–one that may prove insurmountable.
We probably don’t need to tell you that the royal family is an insititution that’s steeped in tradition and the continued observation of certain outdated social mores.
When it comes to marriage, of course, the royal rules often come into conflict
Famously disastrous royal romances include Charles and Di, Princess Margaret and Peter Townsend, and of course, Henry VIII and like half the women of England.
The royals’ messy marital history and laundry list of arcane rules has brought up several interesting questions with regard to the HarMeg relationshiop the most salient of which is, are Harry and Meghan allowed to get married?
It may seem like a ridiculous thing to ask, as both parties are grown adults, and as a guy who could conceivably be King of England one day, you’d think Harry would be allowed to do pretty much whatever the hell he wants.
But his power is derived from his connection to his family, and his family observes several strict ordinances which could complicate his relationship with Meghan.
For one thing Meghan is divorced, which has led to rumors that she and Harry may not be permitted to get married in the Church of England, a fully legit religious sect that was founded under the principle that sometimes a married guy needs to be able to bone someone new.
Meghan married Trevor Egelson in 2011, and though the marriage lasted less than two years, it’s led to rumors that she may not be permitted to marry Harry in the church founded by his ancestors.
Many have pointed to the case of Edward VIII, who was forced to abdicate the throne in 1936 in order to marry Wallis Simpson, a divorced socialite, who–like Meghan–happend to also be American.
But as People magazine and may others have pointed out, times have changed just a bit since Edward and Wallis’ time.
Prince Charles married Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005, and despite the fact that it’s the second marriage for both, the union is recognized by the Church of England.
Of course, esoteric religious docrtine is just the tip of the iceberg, and there have been many other rumors about why Harry and Meghan might not be able to get married.
Some say the royal family disapproves of Meghan (interestingly, Camilla is said to be leading the charge on that score) due to her career as an actress.
Others say the Queen won’t give her blessing because Meghan is American, but that seems bogus for a number of reasons.
For one thing, Queen Elizabeth II is freakin’ 91 years old.
We doubt she’s burning bridges with her grandson and his girlfriend just because she dislikes accents that are different from her own.
Plus, that whole messy revolution business was like 241 years ago. The Brits are probably over it by now.
So in all likelihood, Harry and Meghan will get married sometime in the near future.
And when will their engagement be official?

Meghan Markle: Why She Might Not Be Allowed to Marry Harry
In recent weeks, rumors of Prince Harry proposing to Meghan Markle have been all over social media and the tabloids.
Across platforms, the comsensus seems to be that engagement is virtually a done deal.
In fact some, believe that Harry and Meghan are already engaged and simply have yet to make a formal announcement.
So what’s the holdup?
Well, it’s important to remember that this is a royal engagement we’re talking about, and while it’s unlikely that Harry will ever take the throne, his marriage is still a matter of interest across the British empire.
As a result, Meghan and Harry can’t just post a ring selfie on Facebook and call it a day.
Several higher-ups need to sign off on the coupling before any sort of announcement can be made.
And as candidates for royal marriage go, Meghan is a bit of a divisive one.
To be clear, if there’s any hesitance from Harry’s family, it’s almost certainly not due to Meghan as a person.
By all accounts she’s been well received by Harry’s father and brother, as well as by Kate Middleton and the Queen.
(Sure, there are those rumors that Camilla Parker Bowles doesn’t like Meghan, but who the hell cares what she thinks, anyway?)
There are three main issues that might give royal authorities pause when it comes to signing off on a marriage between Harry and Meghan.
For starters, Meghan is American.
For royal history buffs might bring to mind that of Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII.
Edward was forced to abdicate the throne in order to marry his American wife.
In that case, however, the issue wasn’t so much that Simpson was American, as there are no clear rules aganst Royals getting hitched to foreigners.
No, the reason Edward was forced to step down was the fact that Simpson was divorced … as is Meghan.
Markle married Trevor Engelson in 2013, and the actor has already been a bit of a thorn in the royals’ side.
Fans of Netflix’s The Crown are likely already familiar with the royal famiy’s policy on marrying divorcees:
It’s strictly forbidden.
The show portrays the romance between Princess Margaret, sister of Queen Elizabeth II, and Captain Peter Townsend, a pilot whom she was not allowed to marry because he had been divorced.
Recent letters from the time reveal that the Queen would have allowed the marriage if Margaret were willing to give up her rights to succession of the throne.
Of course, that was a different time and given a chance to make that decision again, the Queen would probably chose differently.
And she’ll likely get a chance to do exactly that in the case of Harry and Meghan.
The only other matter that stands in Meghan and Harry’s way–or that would have at one time, anyway–is the fact that Meghan is Catholic.
Fortunately, the rule forbidding members of the royal family from marrying Catholics was lifted by the Queen in 2013.
Many have pointed out that this could still be an issue if the couple has kids, as the kids would have to be raised in the Anglican Church, but it doesn’t appear that Meghan is still a practicing Catholic, anyway.
So there you have it.
While there are certainly some complexities in play, Harry should be permitted to marry Meghan.
We’re there are lots of guys out there who wish they had so many excuses to put off proposing.

Farrah Abraham: My Daughter Tells Me Who I"m Allowed to Talk To
Because we’re all so focused on how cruel or apathetic she is toward the endlessly-patient members of her inner circle, we often forget that Farrah Abraham is more than just a vicious daughter and a negligent mother.
She’s also one of the weirdest human beings to ever be featured on a reality show, which is really saying something.
Take Farrah’s downright bizarre relationship with her 8-year-old daughter, Sophia, for example.
In the past, Farrah has spoken about Sophia’s future sex tape with joyous optimism.
She’s been criticized for posting inappropriate photos of Sophia on her social media pages.
She even allowed Sophia to have a Snapchat account, a move that predictably resulted in the grade schooler interacting with strangers late at night.
(Administrators eventually stepped in and disabled Sophia’s account.)
Now, Farrah has revealed that Sophia is essentially her life coach, and that she allows the third grader to make major life decisions on her behalf.
Asked about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Simon Saran in a recent interview, Farrah replied:
“I’m not allowed to talk to him because Sophia doesn’t like him.”
Yes, 8-year-old Sophia doesn’t allow her mother to talk to Simon.
That’s very strange, but it’s possible that Farrah was just making a joke about the strength of her daughter’s personality.
Or it would be possible … were it not for the fact that Farrah went on to blame Sophia for her fractured relationship with her own mother.
As you may have heard, Farrah will not be attending Debra Danielsen’s wedding in November.
At first, Farrah chalked the decision up to her disapproval of Deb’s fiance.
But now, it seems she’s lost her nerve and decided it’s easier to blame her daughter for the heartless snub.
“Sophia doesn’t really want a relationship with my mom but I’m still trying to make sure that she is around and keep that relationship is surviving and alive,” Farrah told E! News.
“With my mom’s wedding right now it’s made Sophia not want to be around her. I’m kind of stuck in the middle trying to have everyone get along. Sophie is not approving of it but I am happy for [my mom] and supportive.
Yes, we’re sure it’s Sophia who decided her grandmother’s new beau simply does not live up to the standards of the wealthy Abraham clan.
Anyone who’s ever spent time with 8-year-old knows what snobby elitists they can be.
In case it’s not apparent, we’re being sarcastic, and Farrah is the worst for blaming her daughter for her trainwreck of a personal life.
Farrah concluded the interview by doing that infuriating thing where she pretends she’s some sort of Zen-like earth-mother, even though she’s clearly seething with bitter rage at all times:
“We just try to keep it cordial,” Farrah said of her relationship with her mother.
“I think my daughter and I are having the times of our lives together right now.”
Hmm … We’ll see if Sophia’s future therapist agrees with that assessment.

Josh Duggar Sex Rehab Details Revealed: He"s Not Allowed To Do WHAT?!
It’s been over two years since news of the Josh Duggar sex scandals shattered fans’ image of the family that was supposed to offer a wholesome alternative to the usual reality TV fare.
Each new detail that emerged made Josh’s crimes and his parents’ cover-up all the more appalling.
The Duggars’ reality show was canceled after advertisers fled in droves, and it was widely assumed that we’d seen the last of Jim Bob, Michelle, and their massive brood.
Shockingly (some would say revoltingly), the Duggars clawed their way back onto television, but not before swearing a solemn oath to TLC that their new series would focus on Jill, Jessa, and their sisters.
Not only would Josh never be featured on Counting On, they promised the network, Jim Bob and Michelle would not appear on the show either.
Obviously, it was only a matter of months before they abandoned the latter promise, and now there’s talk of Josh issuing a public apology on Counting On.
Thankfully, it looks as though that won’t be happening in the immediate future.
Not because the Duggars wouldn’t try anything so brazen, mind you (They’ve already gotten away with much worse.), but because appearing on camera would violate the rules of Josh’s ongoing sex addiction treatment.
As you may recall, Josh checked into rehab last year and received six months of treatment at a “faith-based” facility of his parents’ choosing.
Those familiar with the facility say it has more in common with a work camp than with a traditional rehabilitation center.
It still sounds easier to endure than the lengthy prison sentence that Josh deserved, of course.
Anyway, Josh is still forced to abide by some strict rules as part of his treatment, including one that many in 2017 would find impossible to follow:
“[Josh] isn’t allowed to have a smartphone,” a source familiar with the situation tells Radar Online.
The move is reportedly a precaution to keep Josh off of dating websites.
“Since everything that happened with his extramarital online ‘dating’ he still isn’t allowed to have a smartphone,” an insider told Radar.
“A smartphone was how he used to get away with the OK Cupid, Ashley Madison and fake Twitter accounts.”
Even with the Luddite lockdown, however, it seems Josh is still giving those around him cause to be suspicious.
“He carries two flip phones. One is for business, but I know he’s not that busy with his used car lot,” says the source.
The source adds that the old-school technology provides peace of mind for Anna – but that doesn’t mean Josh can blindly be trusted:
“The flip phones Josh carries are peace of mind for Anna,” the insider explained.
“She’s been through so much with him and she has done everything to keep the family intact. But I’m not sure carrying two flip phones is really enough!”

Brad Pitt: I"m Allowed to Hang Out With George Clooney Again!
Long before they were married dudes careening down the far side of the over-50 hill, Brad Pitt and George Clooney were single guys, threesoming their way up the other side of that hill.
While Brad and George were probably never full-blown besties as some gossip rags breathlessly reported, they did collaborate on films and (Ocean’s 11 through 49: The Legend of Curly’s Gold), and seem to enjoy bro-ing out at Clooney’s Lake Como pad.
But from the start of Pitt’s relationship with Jolie, there were rumors that she wasn’t crazy about Hollywood’s most A-list bromance.
And it’s not hard to see why.
These days, George is married to Amal Clooney, but for most of Brangelina’s time together, he was out there getting more trim than a SuperCuts.
Angie was said to be concerned about the possibility of George being a bad influence, but we’re not totally sure we buy that narrative.
Little-known fact: Brad Pitt is Brad Pitt.
He doesn’t need anyone to remind him that being single and Brad Pitt was awesome.
Nevetheless, it was only a matter of time before some tabloid rag pitched some fanfic about how Brad and George can finaly have an emotional bro-out now that Evil Angie is out of the way:
“Angie never liked George and drove a real wedge between him and Brad,” a source tells Star magazine.
“But George is a very forgiving guy and wants to be there for his buddy as he goes through his divorce.”
The insider adds that it was actually Amal who suggested the bro-conciliation:
“She knows how much not having Brad around has hurt him,” says the insider.
“Their catch-up drink turned into an emotional, five-hour talk.
The source adds:
“It’s a huge help to the poor guy – Brad’s finally got his friend in his corner.”
We’ll admit it was strange that Clooney found out about the Jolie-Pitt divorce from a reporter, but that might just be further evidence haven’t been in that close of contact for a very long time.
And it’s not necessarily Angie’s fault that the world never got the bromantic bond it wanted from these two.
Besides, George is fully domesticated these days.
If Brad were smart, he would have tried to claim a spot in Leo’s entrourage before Tobey Maguire rejoined the P–sy Posse.
LEO: “Sorry, we’re all full up.”
