Tess Holliday Claps Back After Piers Morgan Body-Shames Her Cosmo Cover
Piers Morgan can be such a mixed bag. It’s nice ot see him berate that vulture Samantha Grant. It’s gross to see him ask Caitlin Jenner creepy questions about her body.
This time, he’s making gross comments about another woman’s body — plus size model and trailblazer Tess Holliday.
Tess graced the cover of Cosmopolitan, and Piers was apparently unable to resist commenting on her body and accusing her of being some sort of public health hazard.
Before Piers decided to insert his opinion into the narrative, Tess was delighted with her cover.
“Phew,” Tess writes on Instagram. “I’m literally a COSMO GIRL!!”
“Can’t believe I’m saying that!” she continues. “Thank you @CosmopolitanUK for this incredible opportunity “
Tess discusses the impact that body positivity can have, writing: “If I saw a body like mine on this magazine when I was a young girl, it would have changed my life “
Tess advises her fans: “Issue hits stands 8/31!”
Unfortunately, Piers Morgan is one of those dudes who worries about other people loving themselves on their terms instead of on his.
“As Britain battles an ever-worsening obesity crisis,” Piers laments. “This is the new cover of Cosmo.”
“Apparently,” Piers continues. “We’re supposed to view it as a ‘huge step forward for body positivity.’”
“What a load of old baloney,” Piers declares.
“This cover,” Piers continues. “Is just as dangerous & misguided as celebrating size zero models.”
Tess took to Twitter and hit back.
“To everyone saying I’m a burden to the British health care system,” Tess begins.
“I’m american,” Texx explains. “So you don’t have to worry about my fat ass.”
She is such a delight and doesn’t hesitate to use humor when speaking truth to power. Good for her.
(Naturally, we shouldn’t conflate body size with health, and no one should be seen as a “burden” because of their health)
Tess says that the people who are uncomfortable with the size of her body, which literally does not impact them at all, should have more important things on their minds.
“Worry about what horrible people you are,” Tess suggests to her detractors.
That’s harsh — but considering that Piers just accused her of being the next Typhoid Mary and he was far from the worst person to comment, it’s fair.
She says that they have demonstrated that they’re horrible “by whining about how me being on the cover of a glossy magazine impacts your small minded life.”
It’s difficult to understand why so many people feel like they have the right to tell other people what to do with their own bodies.
Tess’ body does not impact the rest of us. It just doesn’t.
But a photo of her on the cover of a magazine could have a very real and powerful effect on little girls (or others, but girls especially) who are struggling to love themselves.
When people like Piers say that body positive images of Tess and women like her will somehow make the “obesity epidemic” worse, it is clear what they really mean.
They mean that people who have learned to love themselves won’t go on dangerous starvation diets that ultimately don’t work in a desperate attempt to get their bodies looking how Piers wants them to.
If you think that one body type is more attractive than another, that’s fine — we all have preferences. But women are allowed to just exist without you wanting to bang them.

Morgan Freeman Issues Strong Statement: I Have Never Committed Sexual Assault!
No, Morgan Freeman, insists in a new statement:
NOT me too.
In a disturbing new CNN report that came out this week, the veteran actor was accused by eight different women of sexual misconduct and/or harassment.
The authors behind this report said they spoke to the eight women, along with eight separate witnesses, all of whom offered similar descriptions of Morgan’s behavior over the years.
For example, one production assistant on the 2017 movie Going In Style told CNN that Morgan “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.”
He did until a co-star told him to stop.
Then there was a senior production staff member on the set of the 2013 film Now You See Me who told CNN that Morgan made so many inappropriate comments about her attire that she stopped wearing tight articles of clothing around him.
A CNN reporter named Chloe Melas even went on record with the charge that Morgan frequently looked her up and down and referred to as “ripe” when she interviewed the star last year.
Oh, and she was six months pregnant at the time.
In response to these accusations, Morgan said the following on Thursday:
Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy.
I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent.
Not exactly the most effective apology ever, right?
He’s basically saying he did all this stuff, he just didn’t mean to offend anyone via his actions.
Now, with his name being associated with others who have been brought down by the #MeToo movement, the 80-year old has issued a far more strongly-worded statement.
He wants to make a few things clear.
“I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined, in the blink of an eye, by Thursday’s media reports,” he opened, adding:
“All victims of assault and harassment deserve to be heard. And we need to listen to them. But it is not right to equate horrific incidents of sexual assault with misplaced compliments or humor.
“I admit that I am someone who feels a need to try to make women – and men – feel appreciated and at ease around me.
“As a part of that, I would often try to joke with and compliment women, in what I thought was a light-hearted and humorous way.”
In conclusion:
Clearly I was not always coming across the way I intended. And that is why I apologized Thursday and will continue to apologize to anyone I might have upset, however unintentionally.
But I also want to be clear: I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex.
Any suggestion that I did so is completely false.
This is all well and good and likely true.
But no one has accused Morgan of assault.
They’ve said he treated women on set with extreme disrespect, basically viewing them as nothing but sex objects.
Is this as bad as actually assaulting them? Of course not.
However, the behavior is still part of a significant issue in society that is thankfully being addressed more and more often these days. It’s simply the issue of treating both men and women with equaly amounts of respect.
Morgan is an Oscar winner who is best known for a handful of iconic movie roles.
His most notable films include: Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption and Batman Begins.
Let’s hope he has learned some valuable lessons from the allegations leveled against him here.

Morgan Freeman Accused of Rampant Sexual Harassment
Morgan Freeman is the latest major name to face serious accusations of sexual harassment and misconduct.
According to an investigation by CNN, the actor’s alleged inappropriate behavior took place on multiple movie sets.
Those who have gone on record about these incidents include female production staff members… employees at Morgan’s own Revelations Entertainment… and a few reports.
Altogether, 16 women spoke to CNN about the Oscar winner’s actions; eight alleged victims and eight more witnesses.
Most of them tell similar, very troubling tales. For example:
One unnamed production assistant told the network that she suffered through several months of unwanted advances and inappropriate comments on the set of the 2017 movie Going in Style.
She alleged that Freeman once “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear” prior to his costar Alan Arkin telling him to cut it out.
And another example:
A senior member of the production staff for the 2013 film Now You See Me spoke to CNN and said that Freeman made a multitude of comments about her and her female assistant’s bodies.
Said this individual:
“We knew that if he was coming by … not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, meaning not wearing clothes that [were] fitted.”
Four of the people interviewed by CNN claimed that the veteran star made women feel uncomfortable on a swath of movie sets over the past decade.
They said they didn’t report his behavior out of fear of losing their jobs.
“He would be verbally inappropriate and it was just shocking,” said an ex-male employee at Revelations Entertainment, the movie production company that the Freeman himself co-founded in 1996.
Added thisperson:
“It’s hard because on any set he is the most powerful person on it. It’s weird because you just don’t expect it from Morgan Freeman, someone who you respect.”
Elsewhere, a trio of entertainment reporters (including CNN’s Chloe Melas) have alleged that Freeman made inappropriate remarks toward them at public press events.
Melas, for instance, says that he repeatedly looked her up and down and called her “ripe” when she interviewed him at a junket for Going in Style … while six months pregnant.
(WTH, dude?!?)
This supposed encounter is actually what led to the opening of CNN’s months-long investigation.
In response to the allegations, Freeman did not accuse anyone of lying, simply of misinterpreting his intentions.
“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy,” he said today via statement, concluding:
“I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent.”
As documented below, Morgan is the latest in a long and disturbing string of famous men who have allegedly acted inappropriately toward women in and around Hollywood.

Sonja Morgan: RHONY Star Spotted Humping and Grinding
Real Housewives are often shown drinking and displaying out-of-control behavior on camera. But how do you know when it’s gone too far and is bleeding over into real life?
Eyewitnesses claim that they saw RHONY star Sonja Morgan “wasted and humping” people almost indiscriminately.
Sonja is denything that claim … sort of.
Page Six reports that Sonja Morgan was spotted at downtown hot spot Paul’s Baby Grand last week.
And from the descriptions, it sounds like she was feeling no pain.
“She rolled in straight from the ‘Watch What Happens Live’ studio, wasted and humping people.”
Well, so long as that was all consensual humping, that sounds like she was just living her best life.
And that, the source reveals, was just the beginning.
“She was making out with blondes [of both genders] and then left with one.”
Oh dang. Good for her!
But is it true?
Sonja actually spoke to Page Six to clear the air. Sort of.
“This always happens to me!”
That’s quite the opening line.
“I was dancing with a bunch of girlfriends and my friends.”
So she knew these various blonds and blondes, then?
Sonja then casts doubt on the claims about her behavior.
“Humping? What does that mean? Dancing? Grinding? Humping?”
Well, dancing is … dancing. Grinding involves sliding parts of your body against parts of someone else’s. And humping … we don’t have it in us to explain what humping is, to Sonja Morgan or to anyone else.
“That’s all in the eye of the beholder.”
Is it, though? Those sound like pretty straightforward descriptions of activities.
We should note that she’s not exactly shooting down the rumor that she was wasted. She just says that it’s a bit of an overstatement.
“I was drinking, yes. It’s all so exaggerated. I was having fun.”
No one is questioning that she was having a blast.
“That’s why I like to have my parties on Wednesdays at home.”
That is super specific, but she means that she prefers the privacy.
“Because everything gets exaggerated.”
That’s the price of fame, unfortunately.
“You can’t even go out anymore.”
In case anyone is worried that she’s falling prey to substance abuse, she mentions that this has come up before.
“Bethenny [Frankel] confronted me about my drinking binges, whatever season that was …”
She says that she totally went with Bethenny’s advice.
“I reflected, went to a therapist, talked to my doctors, tested all my bloods.”
Okay, tested all my bloods is an amazing line. Someone please embroider that onto something.
“I wanted to see, ‘Do I have a problem?’ And it came out, ‘No, you don’t have a problem. But, you know, you’re going through a lot, you need to talk to somebody.”
Sometimes, that’s the case.
Now, we absolutely do not mean to in any way victim-blame when we ask this question, but …
… If Sonja is lamenting that this “always happens” to her, but notices that this does not happen to all of her costars, does that mean that she’s doing something that they aren’t?
But let’s be super clear about this:
Sonja isn’t being accused of any kind of wrongdoing whatsoever.
The source simply described her as having a very good time in a way that would scandalize Mike Pence, who probably thinks that the pleasant relief of sneezing is best reserved for heterosexual marriage.
Sonja’s solution might be, rather than fighting the rumors, to just say: “Hell yeah I had a blast!”
Even things were exaggerated.

Piers Morgan Berates Samantha Markle: You Little Vulture!

Or, to be more accurate perhaps, Piers Morgan is on Team Anyone But Samantha Markle.
The soon-to-be half-sister-in-law of Prince Harry has been making waves for several months, taking advantage of her estranged sibling"s engagement to drag Meghan left and right.
With a book on the way titled "The Diary of Princess Pushy"s Sister," Samantha has been appearing on any media outlet that will accept her as a guest and using her air time to insult her half-sister as a fraud and a phony and a generally terrible person.
On Tuesday, that outlet was Good Morning Britain.
And the topic at hand was the reported absence of Samantha and Megan"s father from Meghan"s upcoming wedding.
(Samantha and Meghan share the same dad, but different mothers. The former was grown up and out of the house when the latter was a child; they barely know each other.)
As of this writing, Thomas Markle doesn"t plan on attending the Royal Nuptials, partially due to a recent heart attack… but mostly due to embarrassment over the reveal that he"s been paying paparazzi photographers to stage his photo ops.
"The goal of those photographs was basically because he"s feeling defenseless," Samantha explained in defense of her dad, adding:
"A person has the right to say, "Enough is enough.""
She then shamed "media vultures" for allegedly "taking advantage" of him.
And this is when Morgan stepped in.
"Here"s the problem with all this," said the co-host.
"In the last few weeks, the British media have been bombarded with letters from Kensington Palace saying he wants to be left alone.
"And now, it turns out he was actively invading his own privacy. I now feel sorry for his own daughter, who doesn"t have her father at the wedding because he has been caught up posing for paparazzi photos."
As for the comment that journalists are vultures who have targeted her loved ones?
Well…
"It"s pretty rich coming from you, Samantha, to accuse media of being vultures," Morgan said, adding in anger:
"There"s no bigger media vulture with this wedding than you, is there? How do you have the gall to come on here and talk about media vultures? You"re doing a book called The Diary of Princess Pushy"s Sister.
"You have been trashing her for two years, you little vulture!"
