Morgan Freeman Accused of Rampant Sexual Harassment
Morgan Freeman is the latest major name to face serious accusations of sexual harassment and misconduct.
According to an investigation by CNN, the actor’s alleged inappropriate behavior took place on multiple movie sets.
Those who have gone on record about these incidents include female production staff members… employees at Morgan’s own Revelations Entertainment… and a few reports.
Altogether, 16 women spoke to CNN about the Oscar winner’s actions; eight alleged victims and eight more witnesses.
Most of them tell similar, very troubling tales. For example:
One unnamed production assistant told the network that she suffered through several months of unwanted advances and inappropriate comments on the set of the 2017 movie Going in Style.
She alleged that Freeman once “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear” prior to his costar Alan Arkin telling him to cut it out.
And another example:
A senior member of the production staff for the 2013 film Now You See Me spoke to CNN and said that Freeman made a multitude of comments about her and her female assistant’s bodies.
Said this individual:
“We knew that if he was coming by … not to wear any top that would show our breasts, not to wear anything that would show our bottoms, meaning not wearing clothes that [were] fitted.”
Four of the people interviewed by CNN claimed that the veteran star made women feel uncomfortable on a swath of movie sets over the past decade.
They said they didn’t report his behavior out of fear of losing their jobs.
“He would be verbally inappropriate and it was just shocking,” said an ex-male employee at Revelations Entertainment, the movie production company that the Freeman himself co-founded in 1996.
Added thisperson:
“It’s hard because on any set he is the most powerful person on it. It’s weird because you just don’t expect it from Morgan Freeman, someone who you respect.”
Elsewhere, a trio of entertainment reporters (including CNN’s Chloe Melas) have alleged that Freeman made inappropriate remarks toward them at public press events.
Melas, for instance, says that he repeatedly looked her up and down and called her “ripe” when she interviewed him at a junket for Going in Style … while six months pregnant.
(WTH, dude?!?)
This supposed encounter is actually what led to the opening of CNN’s months-long investigation.
In response to the allegations, Freeman did not accuse anyone of lying, simply of misinterpreting his intentions.
“Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy,” he said today via statement, concluding:
“I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent.”
As documented below, Morgan is the latest in a long and disturbing string of famous men who have allegedly acted inappropriately toward women in and around Hollywood.
Many of these folks will never work again…

Mark Schwahn, One Tree Hill Creator, Accused of Rampant Sexual Misconduct
Over the past few weeks, accusations of sexual harassment have been leveled against numerous powerful men in Hollywood.
But few allegations have been like this:
On Monday night, the female cast and many crew members from One Tree Hill came together to write an open letter that called out series creator Mark Schwahn for years of unchecked sexual misconduct.
The actresses were inspired to take this unusual step after writer Audrey Wauchope (who currently works on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) Tweeted on Saturday that she and a colleague were sexually harassed years ago during their time writing for an unnamed series.
Wauchope did not cite Schwahn by name in her barrage of Tweets, either.
But she did write the following:
“Female writers would try to get the spot where the showrunner wouldn’t sit as to not be touched. Often men would help out by sitting next to him, thus protecting the women.
“Sometimes we wouldn’t luck out and he’d just squeeze his disgusting body in between us and put his arms around us, grinning.
“He pet hair. He massaged shoulders. I know he did more but not to me so they’re not my stories to share.”
Wauchope went on to say that the showrunner passed around naked photos of an actress he had slept with, unbeknownst to the actress, and that he tried talking a writer out of getting married because he wanted a chance to have sex with her.
It’s now clear that Wauchope was referring to Mark Schwahn.
In a joint statement – signed by One Tree Hill stars such as Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz – the female cast members of this former CW hit backed up Wauchope’s claims and alleged Schwahn manipulated many of them “psychologically and emotionally.”
Here is what the powerful letter says:
All of the female cast members of One Tree Hill have chosen this forum to stand together in support of Audrey Wauchope and one another.
To use terminology that has become familiar as the systemic reality of sexual harassment and assault has come more and more to light, Mark Schwahn’s behavior over the duration of the filming of One Tree Hill was something of an “open secret.”
Many of us were, to varying degrees, manipulated psychologically and emotionally. More than one of us is still in treatment for post-traumatic stress.
Many of us were put in uncomfortable positions and had to swiftly learn to fight back, sometimes physically, because it was made clear to us that the supervisors in the room were not the protectors they were supposed to be.
Many of us were spoken to in ways that ran the spectrum from deeply upsetting, to traumatizing, to downright illegal. And a few of us were put in positions where we felt physically unsafe.
More than one woman on our show had her career trajectory threatened.
It continues:
The through line in all of this was, and still is, our unwavering support of and faith in one another. We confided in each other.
We set up safe spaces to talk about his behavior and how to handle it. To warn new women who joined our ranks.
We understood that a lot of it was orchestrated in ways that kept it out of sight for the studio back home. We also understood that no one was fully unaware.
The lack of action that has been routine, the turning of the other cheek, is intolerable.
We collectively want to echo the calls of women everywhere that vehemently demand change, in all industries.
Many of us were told, during filming, that coming forward to talk about this culture would result in our show being canceled and hundreds of lovely, qualified, hard-working, and talented people losing their jobs.
This is not an appropriate amount of pressure to put on young girls.
Many of us since have stayed silent publicly but had very open channels of communication in our friend group and in our industry, because we want Tree Hill to remain the place “where everything’s better and everything’s safe” for our fans; some of whom have said that the show quite literally saved their lives.
But the reality is, no space is safe when it has an underlying and infectious cancer. We have worked at taking our power back, making the conventions our own, and relishing in the good memories.
But there is more work to be done.
And it concludes:
We are all deeply grateful for Audrey’s courage. For one another. And for every male cast mate and crew member who has reached out to our group of women to offer their support these last few days.
They echo the greater rallying cry that must lead us to change: Believe Women. We are all in this together.

Azealia Banks Twitter Account Suspended Due to Rampant Racism and Homophobia
Twitter has managed to do the one thing no celebrity has yet been able to do:
Shut Azealia Banks up.
Following a rampage in which she went off on Zayn Malik via a firestorm of hateful insults that questioned his skin color… his religion… and his sexual preference, Banks has seen her Twitter account get temporarily suspended.
Those who visit the account for @AZEALIABANKS will now be redirected to a page that reads: “Account suspended.”
A message there explains why:
This account has been suspended. Learn more about why Twitter suspends accounts, or return to your timeline.
This news has hilariously caused “#AzealiaGotSuspendedParty” to start trending on Twitter.
Of course, anyone who has been following the celebrity gossip world over the past few days is well aware already of why Banks has gotten the social media boot.
In response to her belief that Malik copied portions of her work for his latest music video, Banks called Malik a “bitch n-gga” on Tuesday.
She also said he was the “token brown boy” in One Direction, that his mother is a “dirty refuse” and that he’s a giant “f-ggot.”
These messages got Banks fired from an upcoming London music festival and led many on Twitter to start calling for her account to be suspended.
They also led 14-year old Skai Jackson to slam Banks, putting the artist in her place by saying she has no class and no career.
“Fix ur life,” Jackson wrote to Banks. ‘I’m sure my mom did a wayyy better job then yours did! You give black woman a bad name. I’ll be praying for you.”
The only surprising thing here is that it took Twitter so long to actually kick Banks off.
She has bashed the gay community in general in the past, while she’s also gotten into absurd beefs with Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Pharrell and Iggy Azalea.
Who has Banks NOT gone after?
That may actually be a shorter list than who she has gone after.

Leah Remini Details Child Abuse, Sexual Harassment Rampant in Scientology
Earlier this week, Leah Remini opened up about why she left the Church of Scientology in the sort of scathing interview that’s now common amongst CoS defectors.
Today, new excerpts from Remini’s memoir were released, and they offer even more shocking details about the actress’ involvement with America’s most controversial religious organization.
In the book – entitled Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology – Remini recalls being forced to do hard labor starting at age 13.
She says she and dozens of other children would put in 12 hour days “pulling up tree roots with our bare hands, working heavy machinery [and] cleaning bathrooms and hotel rooms.”
Remini claims the children were barely fed and only received $ 15 a week for their work. She says she often got so hungry that she would steal food from the hotel rooms she was cleaning.
She adds that church officials thought nothing of making crude sexual remarks to the children, and that one high-ranking elder remarked to her 13-year-old sister, “You have big t-ts for such a young girl.”
Remini also says she was once forced to “physically act out the sexual policy” of the church by “rubbing together” items found in an office.
Even more shocking is Remini’s claim that infants with Scientologist parents are often abused and neglected by members of the church who are supposed to be looking after them:
“[One room] was filled with cribs of crying, neglected babies, flies, and the smell of dirty diapers,” she writes. “The only ventilation came from a huge fan by the window. The neglect was overwhelming.”
Remini has confirmed claims that Tom Cruise has been brainwashed by Scientology and that church members are forbidden to speak ill of the actor.
Though Cruise is the church’s most famous member, Remini says so many Hollywood bigwigs are devout Scientologists that she believed coming out against the faith would mean the end of her career.
