Ariana Grande: Read Her Heartbreaking Statement About Mac Miller"s Death

Hope you’re prepared to get in a good cry right now.

Because if you continue reading, trust us, it’s coming.

As you surely know by now, rapper Mac Miller passed away last week.

He was only 26 years old.

We still don’t have too many details about what happened, but here’s what we do know:

Mac was found dead in his home last Friday around noon, and when emergency responders arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call, they saw that he’d been dead for several hours.

There’s no official cause of death yet, but the assumption is that he died of an overdose, considering the fact that he’s been dealing with addiction for several years.

Toxicology reports take a while, so it will likely be several more weeks before we learn what happened to him.

The night before his body was found, he’d been hosting a party in his home, and it sounds like the party got a bit out of hand.

Witnesses even claimed that several of his guests were there until Friday morning, when they rushed out of the house just before police arrived.

Because of this, some people are suspicious that something more than an overdose happened that night, but police aren’t investigating.

On a different note, another thing we know about his death is that as awful and implausible as it sounds, many of Mac’s fans are blaming Ariana Grande.

Ariana and Mac dated for a couple of years before breaking up in May, and a few weeks after that, she was engaged to Pete Davidson.

The idea seems to be that she should have done more to help him with his problems, or that her quick engagement broke his heart and caused him to ramp up his drug use.

It’s silly, because it’s not Ariana couldn’t force him to give up drugs, and she’s not responsible for his choices, no matter what.

People were so cruel about this that she had to turn off comments on her Instagram, as if she wasn’t hurting enough.

Speaking of Instagram, she shared a sweet picture of Mac there last weekend, and although she didn’t say anything about his death, it was a lovely little tribute.

But now, in another post, she’s really opening up about what happened.

And it is rough.

This time, she posted a video of him, and while it’s a little hard to tell what’s happening, it’s still precious.

He’s talking with someone else about something when he notices Ariana filming him, and he laughs and says “Baby, stop!”

They start laughing together, and she says “it makes me so happy,” so he tells her “I’ll tell you the story as many times as you want.”

It’s sad enough to see him laughing and having a good time after knowing how things turn out for him, but things get even sadder once you read the caption she wrote to go along with the video.

“i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will,” she began.

“i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times.”

“i’m so mad,” she continued. “i’m so sad i don’t know that to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else.”

“i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to.”

She finished by calling Mac “the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved.”

“i hope you’re okay now,” she told him. “rest.”

Mac’s funeral will take place sometime in the next few days in Pittsburgh, his hometown, and according to reports, she’ll be in attendance.

Here’s hoping she can get a little bit of closure from that, because it sounds like she’s really hurting right now.

Mac Miller Update: Family Releases Statement, Awful People Blame Ariana Grande for Rapper"s Death

As previously reported, tragedy has once again struck Hollywood.

Around noon on Friday, authorities, responding to a call from an unknown individual, arrived at the San Fernando Valley home of Mac Miller and found the rapper dead.

He was 26 years old.

As of this writing, the likely cause of death is a drug overdose.

The artist had been well known and respected across the music industry ever since his debut album in 2012… but he was perhaps better known of late for his long-term relationship with Ariana Grande.

This romance ended in May, with sources saying that Miller’s substance abuse issues played a significant role in Grande deciding it was time to part ways.

Just a week later, Miller was arrested for drunk driving.

Shortly afterward, in July, he an interview to Zane Lowe on Beats 1 on Apple Music in which he referred to himself as a “self-destructive depressed drug user.”

But he also assured fans at this time that he was doing okay and that he was “happy” for Grande, who he dated for two years.

Just over a month later, Miller is dead.

“Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26,” his family said in a statement provided to multiple outlets.

“He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time

Elsewhere, Warner Bros. Records added the following:

“Mac was a hugely gifted and inspiring artist, with a pioneering spirit and sense of humor that touched everyone he met.

“Mac’s death is a devastating loss and cuts short a life and a talent of huge potential, where the possibilities felt limitless.”

The Los Angeles Fire Department has confirmed that first responders were dispatched Friday after an 11:42 a.m. call about a medical complaint at a residence in Studio City, California.

They did not transport anyone from the scene, making it safe to assume that Miller had passed away before they arrived.

“I just wanna go on tour,” Miller Tweeted on Thursday. “The show is going to be special every night. I wish it started tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, while music heavyweights mourn Miller’s passing (“Great man. I loved him for real. Im completely broken. God bless him,” Tweeted Chance the Rapper), a handful of terrible trolls out there are blamng Grande for what has transpired.

They somehow think the singer is responsible for Miller’s addiction and for driving him to this fatal place due to their split.

In the wake of this tragedy and upon seeing what these awful people were writing on her Instagram page, Grande disabled Comments for a period of time.

She appears to have now turned them back on.

And if she is checking, we sincerely hope she sees that the supporters out there far, far, FAR outweight the misguided haters.

“The amount of tweets blaming Ariana Grande for what happened to Mac Miller is disgusting, his addiction and lack of help is what drove this to happen, don’t point the finger and blame,” wrote on fan.

And another chimed in as follows:

“Just noticed Ariana Grande disabled comments on her Instagram account after a barrage of Mac Miller-related comments. Recognize the true problem here, rather than using someone else as a scapegoat & continuing the cycle.

All so sad & nauseating.”

Following Mller’s aforementioned crash and DUI arrest, someone on the Internet dared to blame Grande for the rapper’s fate.

She wasn’t having it.

“I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be,” clapped back the singer, adding:

“I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming / blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his s— together is a very major problem.”

That is oh so true.

And also so not the point right now.

A young man is dead at the age of 26.

It’s a tragedy.

This is especially the case when you consider what Miller said in a documentary a few years ago:

“I’d rather be the corny white rapper than the drugged-out mess who can’t even get out of his house. Overdosing is just not cool. You don’t go down in history because you overdose. You just die.”

May he rest in peace.

Carole Radziwill Mourns Dennis Shields, Releases Statement

Carole Radziwil is no longer a member of The Real Housewives family.

But the former Bravo star still chimed in this evening in response to a major loss for someone within this family.

We’re talking, of course, about Dennis Shields.

The 51-year old, known well to The Real Housewives of New York City viewers as the on-again/off-again boyfriend of Bethenny Frankel, was found dead on Friday morning.

According to a number of outlets, Shields appeared to have overdosed on prescription pills, with various sources saying he actually asked his assistant to give him a dose of Narcan around 9 a.m. on Friday because he knew something was amiss.

Narcan is a drug that is used to combat the effects of an opioid overdose.

Sadly, the request came too late.

Shields fell unconscious and was pronounced dead a short time later.

An autopsy is pending, but it is believed that Shields overdosed on oxycodone.

Frankel, who just discussed her relationship with Shields on the latest episode of the aforementioned Bravo series, has not yet commented on this tragedy.

But her main nemesis on the program has gone ahead and released a statement.

Via Twitter, Radziwill acknowledged Shields’ passing and said the following:

I just heard the sad news about Dennis. He was a good man. My condolences to all his family and friends. So tragic.

CR Tweet

Radzwill is the first of Frankel’s costars to speak on the Shields’ passing.

The journalist announced last month that she’s leaving the program after six seasons, telling Us Weekly:

“I have decided to return to what I do best: journalism and producing.”

Many fans of this franchise believe that Radzwill was either forced out by producers due to her feud with Frankel or left due to this rivalry.

Either way, things between Carole and Bethenny have been contentious for a long time now.

But an awful event such as this pushes all of that tension to the side. It puts things into perspective.

Frankel and Shields starting dating in 2016, about 30 years after they first met.

The two stayed in touch over all those decades, eventually getting together at Shields separated from his wife and Frankel divorced Jason Hoppy.

The romance was up and down and was often chronicled on The Real Housewives of New York City.

On the August 8 installment of this series, Frankel confided in Dorinda Medley, saying she needed a break:

“I didn’t say it to Dennis, but in my own mind, I said, ’90 days. I’m not saying a word to Dennis for 90 days.’ It’s a really hard thing to realize that someone you love, it doesn’t mean they’re the right person,

“And I wish he was.”

Shields was still technically married to his estranged wife Jill at the time of his death.

This is what she said soon after the news became public:

“We are all heartbroken. Dennis was, and will always be, the love of my life. His spirit lives on in our children. Please respect our family’s privacy at this time.”

The NYPD, meanwhile, has confirmed hat “police responded to a 911 call of an aided male inside of 721 5th Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the unconscious male at the location. E

“MS responded and pronounced the man deceased.”

We send our condolences to the loved one sof Dennis Shields.

UPDATE: Sonja Morgan has now also spoken out about Shields’ death, telling Radar Online of Bethenny:

“Dennis is her rock. Dennis was important to her, and her daughter. Another tragedy in her life. I’m so sad for her.”

We feel the same way.

Demi Lovato Releases First Statement Since Near-Fatal Overdose

Demi Lovato has spoken out for the first time since nearly dying of a drug overdose just under two weeks ago.

In a statement released to the public, the beloved and troubled singer addressed this frightening incident… her road to recovery… and those who have been responsible for her well-being over the past several days.

Scroll down to see what Lovato had to say…

Via Instagram, this is how Demi opened her heartfelt message to fans and supporters:

I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time.

It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.

Lovato, as you likely know by now, was found unconscious inside her Los Angeles bedroom on Tuesday morning, July 31.

Initial reports indicated that Lovato has overdosed on heroin, but follow-up articles made it clear that the substance Lovato ingested or injected remains unknown.

The same can be said for Lovato’s status.

We know she’s alive. We know she nearly died. And we believe she has agreed to attend some sort of rehab for the third time over the past few years.

Continues Lovato in her statement:

I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond.

Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.

Lovato has been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai in California for well over a week now.

In her message, the artist acknowledges that she came very close to dying.

And that she likely would have passed away if not for those around her (an assistant called 911) and the medical professionals who took over from there.

Writes the singer:

I want to thank my family, my team, and the staff at Cedars-Sinai who have been by my side this entire time.

Without them I wouldn’t be here writing this letter to all of you.

It’s hopefully a positive sign that Lovato recognizes this fact.

If she understands how close she came to accidentally killing herself, perhaps she will take the steps needed to attempt to get better once and for all.

Without revealing her plans for the future, this is how Lovato concluded her post:

I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side.

I will keep fighting.

We can’t say for certain when we’ll next hear from Lovato, but that isn’t important right now of course.

She needs to take as much time as she needs to heal, mentally and physically, and it will likely serve her best to do so far away from the spotlight.

We just hope she knows how much her fans love her as she takes the time she needs to arrive in a healthier place.

XXXTentacion: Representatives Release a Statement on Rapper"s Death

On Monday, 20-year-old rapper XXXTentacion was shot dead in Miami

Speculation has been mounting that he had predicted his death and reports came out claiming that XXXTentacion wanted to tie young, and everyone has questions.

The late rapper’s representation has now released a statement.

XXXTentacion’s team released a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

“On June 18, 2018, Jahseh Onfroy — known worldwide as XXXTentacion — tragically passed away from a gunshot wound in Deerfield, Florida,” the statement begins.

As you may remember, the 20-year-old rapper was leaving a motorcycle dealer when a gunman ran up to his vehicle and opened fire.

“It is with great sadness that the news is confirmed in this official statement by his team,” the statement continues. “Manager Solomon Sobande, EMPIRE, Bob Celestin, Esq. and AKW PR.”

That’s very formal, but important, though this had already been reported by reputable sources and confirmed by local police.

The statement then goes on to make a request.

“In deference to his family, friends, and loved ones and in light of further investigation,” the statement asks.

This part is standard when a celebrity dies.

The statement continues: “we ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”

That is absolutely right. Whatever you may have thought of XXXTentacion himself, there were people who cared about him who are miserable right now.

The statement continues, this time with a tribute to the rapper’s memory.

“XXXTentacion touched the lives of millions around the globe,” the statement claims.

He certainly had many fans.

The statement says that the rapper connected with fans through music, “and will forever reside in the hearts of countless fans who listened to his music.”

Sure. His music will be part of his legacy for as long as he is remembered.

The statement says that this legacy will also apply to fans who “attended his concerts, and felt the glow of his uncontainable, undeniable, and unique spirit.”

That part is a little flowery, but appropriate for the context.

“News about memorial services to be issued forthcoming,” the statement concludes.

XXXTentacion was a controversial figure, in life and in death.

As you may have noticed from the two different mugshots in this post, he had multiple run-ins with the law during his 20 short years.

The allegations of brutal domestic abuse against him were definitely a subject on the internet following the news of XXXTentacion being shot, and then again after it was confirmed that he was dead.

Some people who were fans of the rapper despite the horrifying allegations expressed their grief on social media.

Others were then shocked to see that they felt that way, because they were unwilling to shed a tear for a man accused of monstrous misdeeds.

Fan culture can be complicated. How does one separate the art from the artist? Is it immoral to mourn a bad person?

Those are not easy questions to answer, and it seems unlikely that the world will ever agree any time soon.

Those on both sides of the debate of how to respond to news of XXXTentacion’s death can surely agree on one good cause.

The rapper’s ex-girlfriend, Geneva Ayala, whose serious facial injuries from a brutal alleged beating threaten even her eyesight, has a GoFundMe to help repair the damage to her face, skull, and eyes.

Following the news of his death — which was the first time that some people learned of the allegations against him that go back at least two years — she received an influx of donations to her GoFundMe.

While none of us should live in a world where vital healthcare should depend upon the generosity of strangers, this time, the strangers were very generous, and her page has now exceeded its goal.

Be warned — the images of her injuries are graphic.

That is a very worthy cause that is getting some attention this week. However you may feel about XXXTentacion, it’s good to channel those feelings into something good.

And, of course, let his loved ones grieve without trying to invade their privacy.

Meghan Markle Finally Speaks on Married Life, Makes Bold Statement About Prince Harry

Meghan Markle has made multiple appearances since becoming the Duchess of Sussex.

She’s even made her debut on the balcony of Buckingham Palace and has even established herself in British society to such an extent that she’s receiving backlash for her fashion choices.

So, yes, we have seen Markle ever since her monumental wedding to Prince Harry back on May 19.

But we haven’t really heard from Markle since this she officially became part of the Royal Family.

Not until now at least.

On Thursday afternoon, Markle enjoyed a walkabout in Chester, England, joining Queen Elizabeth II for her first solo engagement with the beloved monarch.

She carried herself very well, as you might expect, even prompting a number of smiles and laughs from the typically-stoic queen.

While speaking with residents gathered along the sidewalk, Markle also addressed her life as a newlywed, specifically giving folks her take on her very famous and handsome husband.

According to press on the scene, the new Duchess of Sussex referred Prince Harry as “best husband ever,” saying simply of being his wife:

“It’s wonderful.”

It is important to remember, of course, that Markle was once married to Trevor Engelson.

She split from him in 2013, but she actually does have a husband to whom she can compare Harry, making the above remark carry more weight.

Last weekend, the married twosome re-emerged in public together for the first time in a few weeks to join the queen at the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony.

As mentioned previously, this event marked Markle’s debut on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

We’ve since learned that Markle and Harry had been away from the spotlight because they found time to jet off to Africa for their honeymoon.

An insider has confirmed to E! News that the Royal Couple traveled into East Africa, to be accurate, and also visited more than two nations, where their activities included safaris and outdoor adventures, along with much-deserved rest and relaxation in the sun.

(We’re also guessing they had a lot of sex.)

“It was the perfect break and blend of their passions,” this E! source says. “Restorative and the perfect holiday before starting a very busy second half of 2018.”

Busy because Harry and Meghan will be making many public appearances?

Yes, we’re certain this is true.

But also busy because they’ll be preparing to be parents?

Indeed, questions about just when Markle will get pregnant have already started to circulate around the Internet.

We’re not about to add any pressure to the lives of these global stars, however. They only just got married!

We’ll just wish them all the best for a happy and healthy future and ask that they alert The Hollywood Gossip to any baby news prior to any other entertainment/gossip outlet.

We’d really appreciate it.

Andy Spade Releases Statement, Is in "Complete Shock" Over Kate Spade Suicide

Andy Spade has spoken out in great and heartwrenching detail about his estranged wife’s death.

The statement comes a day after we learned that world famous fashion designer Kate Spade committed suicide inside her Park Avenue apartment in New York City.

She was 55 years old.

“Kate was the most beautiful woman in the world. She was the kindest person I’ve ever known and my best friend for 35 years,” said Andy to open his lengthy message, which continues as follows;

“My daughter and I are devastated by her loss, and can’t even begin to fathom life without her. We are deeply heartbroken and miss her already.

Andy and Kate were parents to a 13-year old girl.

And Andy is the brother of David Spade, who released his own statement on Tuesday night.

He went on to address his wife’s mental condition:

“Kate suffered from depression and anxiety for many years. She was actively seeking help and working closely with her doctors to treat her disease, one that takes far too many lives.

“We were in touch with her the night before and she sounded happy. There was no indication and no warning that she would do this. It was a complete shock.

“And it clearly wasn’t her. There were personal demons she was battling.”

Andy says he and Kate had been living separately for close to a year.

They continued to dine together on occasion and remained a part of each other’s lives, however, for the sake of their child.

He references her in the next part of his statement:

Bea was living with both of us and we saw each other or spoke every day. We ate many meals together as a family and continued to vacation together as a family.

Our daughter was our priority. We were not legally separated, and never even discussed divorce. We were best friends trying to work through our problems in the best way we knew how.

We were together for 35 years. We loved each other very much and simply needed a break.

Spade went on to shoot down any talk to the contrary, while emphasizing that his daughter is now his only concern.

“This is the truth. Anything else that is out there right now is false. [Kate] was actively seeking help for depression and anxiety over the last 5 years, seeing a doctor on a regular basis and taking medication for both depression and anxiety. There was no substance or alcohol abuse.

There were no business problems. We loved creating our businesses together. We were co-parenting our beautiful daughter.

I have yet to see any note left behind and am appalled that a private message to my daughter has been so heartlessly shared with the media.

(According to multiple sources, Kate Spade left a suicide note that assured her child that she loved her and that her fate was not her fault.)

Concluded Andy:

My main concern is Bea and protecting her privacy as she deals with the unimaginable grief of losing her mother. Kate loved Bea so very much.

Since Kate’s passing, a multitude designers, celebrities, fashion lovers and family members have been paying tribute online via photos, statements and personal memories.

We are all devastated by today’s tragedy,” a family statement read, according to The New York Times, adding:

“We loved Kate dearly and will miss her terribly. We would ask that our privacy be respected as we grieve during this very difficult time.”

Our condolences go out to the Spade family and all affected by this tragedy.

Morgan Freeman Issues Strong Statement: I Have Never Committed Sexual Assault!

No, Morgan Freeman, insists in a new statement:

NOT me too.

In a disturbing new CNN report that came out this week, the veteran actor was accused by eight different women of sexual misconduct and/or harassment.

The authors behind this report said they spoke to the eight women, along with eight separate witnesses, all of whom offered similar descriptions of Morgan’s behavior over the years.

For example, one production assistant on the 2017 movie Going In Style told CNN that Morgan “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear.”

He did until a co-star told him to stop.

Then there was a senior production staff member on the set of the 2013 film Now You See Me who told CNN that Morgan made so many inappropriate comments about her attire that she stopped wearing tight articles of clothing around him.

A CNN reporter named Chloe Melas even went on record with the charge that Morgan frequently looked her up and down and referred to as “ripe” when she interviewed the star last year.

Oh, and she was six months pregnant at the time.

In response to these accusations, Morgan said the following on Thursday:

Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy.

I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected – that was never my intent.

Not exactly the most effective apology ever, right?

He’s basically saying he did all this stuff, he just didn’t mean to offend anyone via his actions.

Now, with his name being associated with others who have been brought down by the #MeToo movement, the 80-year old has issued a far more strongly-worded statement.

He wants to make a few things clear.

“I am devastated that 80 years of my life is at risk of being undermined, in the blink of an eye, by Thursday’s media reports,” he opened, adding:

“All victims of assault and harassment deserve to be heard. And we need to listen to them. But it is not right to equate horrific incidents of sexual assault with misplaced compliments or humor.

“I admit that I am someone who feels a need to try to make women – and men – feel appreciated and at ease around me.

“As a part of that, I would often try to joke with and compliment women, in what I thought was a light-hearted and humorous way.”

In conclusion:

Clearly I was not always coming across the way I intended. And that is why I apologized Thursday and will continue to apologize to anyone I might have upset, however unintentionally.

But I also want to be clear: I did not create unsafe work environments. I did not assault women. I did not offer employment or advancement in exchange for sex.

Any suggestion that I did so is completely false.

This is all well and good and likely true.

But no one has accused Morgan of assault.

They’ve said he treated women on set with extreme disrespect, basically viewing them as nothing but sex objects.

Is this as bad as actually assaulting them? Of course not.

However, the behavior is still part of a significant issue in society that is thankfully being addressed more and more often these days. It’s simply the issue of treating both men and women with equaly amounts of respect.

Morgan is an Oscar winner who is best known for a handful of iconic movie roles.

His most notable films include: Million Dollar Baby, The Shawshank Redemption and Batman Begins.

Let’s hope he has learned some valuable lessons from the allegations leveled against him here.

Meghan Markle to Make "Bold Feminist Statement" at Royal Wedding (Report)

Well, folks, we’re just hours away from the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Predictions for what you can expect as the global media continues to foam at the mouth include:

Yet another rundown of how terrible Meghan’s family is; talking head-types pretending anyone actually watched the show Suits; and of course, painstaking second-by-second breakdowns of how the actual ceremony will play out, as though you’ve never seen a freakin’ wedding before.

To be fair, tomorrow’s ceremony is sure to be more interesting than royal weddings past, thanks largely to a last-minute curveball thrown by Meghan’s lame-ass dad.

As you may have heard, Thomas Markle will not be attending his daughter’s wedding for reasons that vary depending on whom you ask/believe.

The most likely explanation seems to be that Thomas is embarrassed that he was busted selling staged paparazzi photos to British media outlets, so he’s decided to make the situation worse by bailing on the wedding entirely.

The decision created quite a stir, as Thomas was supposed to symbolically give Meghan away before she joins Harry at the altar.

Fortunately, it wasn’t long before a suitable plan B emerged.

This morning it was reported that Prince Charles would walk Meghan down the aisle, but now it seems that’s only partially true.

CNN is now claiming that Meghan will “make a bold feminist statement” by proceeding down the first stretch of the aisle “unescorted.”

Of course, actual solitude is for peasants, and royals are never really alone, even when they’re “alone.”

So when CNN says “unescorted” they really mean Meghan will be joined by her bridesmaids and page boys, “with a senior church figure walking ahead.”

The Donald’s favorite news network also points out that Charles is no stranger to the task of walking blushing brides down the aisle.

In 2016, he escorted Alexandra Knatchbull during her wedding to Thomas Hooper – and who could forget the famed Knatchbull-Hooper wedding?

Just kidding, we have no idea who these people are.

Anyway, it’s cool that Meghan is using her time on the world’s biggest stage to make a statement that’s sure to inspire other young women.

But our favorite part of this story might be the fact that Harry’s grandfather, 96-year-old Prince Philip, will be in attendance less than two months after undergoing hip surgery.

We’re sure he’ll be there primarily to support his grandson and new granddaughter-in-law.

But we like to think he’s at least partially motivated by a desire to make Thomas Markle look like a little bitch.
