The Royal Family Has Never Looked This Happy Before
Stodgy? Stoic? Serious?
More like… playful! Fun-loving! And totally adorable!
In a pair of candid new photos, the most prominent members of Great Britain’s Royal Family aim to put to rest all rumors of them as very serious and even unusually cold and distant.
See what we mean right here:
This picture and the one we’ve also shared down below were snapped in the gardens of Clarence House by photographer Chris Jackson.
They were released in honor of Prince Charles‘ 70th birthday on Wednesday and they include pretty much everyone:
Charles, Duchess Camilla and grandkids Prince George and Princess Charlotte are on a wooden bench, comfortable and cozy.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle are standing behind them sharing a big hearty laugh… while Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton – who is cradling Prince Louis – are grinning at their side.
This really could be any family on any important occasion, couldn’t it?
We’ve never seen this well-known group looking so candid and relaxed before.
Wrote Jackson as a message along with the images:
“I’ve travelled all over the world photographing the Prince of Wales for the last 15 years from Durbars in Nigeria to the Galapagos Islands, Pakistan, Japan and many more as well as covering numerous domestic Royal Engagements so I was delighted to have been asked to take these official portraits of The Prince surrounded by his family to celebrate the important milestone of his 70th Birthday.
“It was particularly special to capture such an informal and relaxed family portrait over a fun afternoon in the gardens of Clarence House.”
Amidst rumors that Markle is a diva and there’s division within the Royal Ranks, these photographs could not have come out at a better time.
Charles turning 70 years old has placed the once-controversial prince (the dude cheated on Princess Diana!) squarely in the spotlight for the first time in years.
There’s a new documentary coming out about him and a recent screen grab from the program gave us a rare glimpse at the youngest member of his family.
Hello there, Prince Louis!
The Duke of Wales tries to spend as much time as he can with his grandchildren, with his wife saying in the aforementioned documentary of Charles and the young ones around him:
“He will get down on his knees and crawl about with them for hours, you know making funny noises and laughing and my grandchildren adore him, absolutely adore him.
“He reads Harry Potter and he can do all the different voices and I think children really appreciate that.”
William has also said his father is “brilliant” with George, and you can kind of see how close the two are in the first two photos featured here.
Of late, of course, all attention has turned from Kate and William’s kids to the growing tiny person inside of Markle.
She is pregnant, in case you haven’t had an Internet connection or access to a television in many weeks.
Although she and Prince Harry have not yet revealed Markle’s due date, it is widely believed that she’s expected to give birth in early May.
She may even welcome her son or daughter on May 2, which is Princess Charlotte’s birthday, which would just be so darn cute all around.

Meghan Markle: Driving Royal Staffers to Quit with Her Diva Demands?
While rumors say that Kate Middleton resents Meghan Markle stealing her spotlight, it turns out that Meghan has gotten on the last nerve of others in the Palace.
Meghan and Harry lost three of their employees in a very short time.
A report says that Meghan may be causing this “stampede” with her insistence on following her own path instead of royal protocol.
According to a report by the Sunday Express, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s household has lost yet another staffer.
Samantha Cohen was the couple’s private secretary.
She has now departed from the post.
She was preceded in that job by Edward Lane Fox, who also left that position by his own choice.
And on Saturday, someone walked out who worked even more closely with Meghan.
Meghan Markle’s personal assistant was known only by “Melissa.”
Melissa has spent the past six months at Kensington Palace with Meghan.
Among her duties was having a very direct role in key elements of preparing for the Royal Wedding in May of this year.
Well, Melissa has now reportedly resigned.
Some have interpreted the loss of three members of the Royal couple’s staff as a sign that something is wrong.
According to how a source characterized matters to the Sunday Express, this is very unusual.
“To lose one member of the household could happen to anyone,” the insider admits.
Two is happenstance. But three?
“To lose three in a few months is starting to look like a stampede,” the source says.
Maybe that is a little dramatic, but that does seem like a lot of turnaround for one couple’s household, right?
So … what’s sending these staffers running for the hills?
Allegedly, Meghan Markle’s independent attitude is driving away the household staff.
As an actress, Meghan was a public figure long before she began dating Prince Harry.
And, like most humans, she has a personal sense of style.
She remains dedicated to that style even as a duchess, and is resistant to certain Royal traditions that would dictate how she should dress.
Meghan wants to dress like herself.
She doesn’t feel a need to be dressed in outfits that are virtually identical to those worn by Duchess Kate.
We are meant to believe that Meghan’s sense of autonomy is viewed as “tiresome” by household staffers.
In June, Meghan wore an off-the-shoulder blush colored Caroline Herrera gown to attend the Trooping of the Colour event.
(Gosh, Britain has goofy names for things)
She has also worn purses whose straps cross the body rather than a simple clutch.
Additionally, Meghan didn’t wear pantyhose for the engagement announcement.
All of that is beautiful and even stylish, but flies in the face of stuffy Royal traditions.
We’re not sure what to make of these reports.
Meghan seems to be a genuinely likeable person.
The narrative that she’s “difficult” and resistant to conforming to expectations is tempting, because she’s an American, but that doesn’t mean that it’s true.
And it’s difficult to imagine that Meghan and Harry’s secretaries are so personally offended that Meghan’s formal attire isn’t boring enough that they quit.
There can be real drama surrounding the Royal Family.
But that doesn’t mean that every story has a scandal just beneath the surface.
Sometimes, people just quit.

Meghan Markle"s Mother is HYPED for a Royal Grandbaby!
It’s official, folks — Meghan Markle is really pregnant. She is due in the spring.
After months of impatience and speculation, Kensington Palace has confirmed it to be true.
And now Meghan’s mother has released a statement of her own about her daughter’s happy news.
In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, Kensington Palace revealed how Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland has responded to the pregnancy.
“Ms. Ragland is very happy about this lovely news,” Kensington Palace shared with ET.
Obviously, this almost certainly isn’t new information to Doria. We imagine that she was one of the first people told.
“And,” Kensington Palace continued. “She looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild.”
That, of course, is no surprise. It’s a grandbaby and a royal baby, all in one!
The Palace declined to comment on whether Thomas Markle has been notified about his impending grandchild.
Just last month, Doria joined her royal daughter for a very special event.
Meghan’s first real project as Duchess of Sussex was promoting a cookbook that celebrates a beautiful blending of cultures.
Everyone likes food, and food can be a powerful symbol of pluralism, so it was a great project.
While in the UK, Doria has reportedly been introducing herself as “Meghan’s mum,” which is adorable.
It has been said that it was Prince Harry’s idea to have her come over and stay for a while.
She’s been a source of comfort as Meghan has had to deal with her other relatives.
Meghan’s pregnancy has passed the 12-week mark, the Palace has confirmed.
Meghan and Harry are currently at the start of a 2-week royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga.
Though Meghan’s pregnancy has been confirmed to be in good health, there have been warnings of Zika virus in Tonga and Fiji.
The Zika virus is transmitted through mosquitoes and can be devastating to a fetus.
Despite this, Harry and Meghan apparently intend to stick to their plans.
Speaking of annoying pests, it was reported that Samantha Grant showed up to Kensington Palace only to be refused entry.
“The palace doesn’t want to dignify any of it,” the Palace said when asked about Meghan’s evil half-sister.
The statement explained that they declined to comment “because it just adds fuel to the fire.”
“Samantha revels in the attention,” the palace admitted.
The Palace then affirmed: “Meghan is not corresponding with her sister or her father.”
Meghan has now known for weeks — perhaps even months — that she is pregnant.
This must have compounded the pain of her tragically unavoidable estrangement from her terrible father, Thomas Markle.
Before the wedding, Thomas was exposed making deals with paparazzi to pose for staged photographs in exchange for kickbacks.
After the controversy, he did not attend the wedding, and then began blabbing to every news outlet that would give him air time.
This is unacceptable behavior for anyone and scandalizing to the royal family — and deeply hurtful to Meghan.
She can now no longer trust her father with a phone call, for fear that he’ll repeat everything in an interview.
For this reason, she wouldn’t have been able to even share this happy news with him.
Though Harry and Meghan’s child will be a royal baby, they are not expecting a prince or princess.
Because Harry is not a direct heir to the throne, a son of his would be Earl of Dumbarton — an earldom bestowed upon him by the Queen on his wedding day.
However, Queen Elizabeth could intervene and declare that Harry and Meghan’s children are princes and princesses if she so chooses.
This would mean that they remain part of the royal family will all of its various perks, even if they would never realistically sit upon the throne.
Given Harry’s admission that being a royal is less than ideal, this may never happen.

Meghan Markle Dares to Violate Royal Tradition... AGAIN
Meghan Markle once starred on the USA Network legal drama Suits.
Which now seems more apt than ever…
… because the beautiful Duchess of Sussex has made it clear of late that she’ll act in whatever way best suits her and she doesn’t really care what her famous family members think about it!
As previously reported, Markle has publicly scoffed at a multitude of Royal traditions ever since marrying Prince Harry in May.
In July, for example, she dared to show off her bare shoulders while at an official event, while also holding her husband’s hand.
Long-time observers and fans of the Royal Family really need to get a new hobby and some kind of life were aghast at this breach of protocol.
Moreover, many Royals themselves have allegedly been pissed at Markle. They’re constantly worried that she will embarrass Her Majesty and/or others close to The Crown via her disrespectful actions.
And that’s exactly what some think she has now done!
On Wednesday, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent some time in Sussex itself, visiting with kids from the Westbourne House School and lookng as happy and as in love as ever.
But that was part of the problem, according to some.
Royal Couples are not really supposed to show a great deal of affection in public.
Just think: When was the last time Prince William really laid one on Kate Middleton in front of strangers.
The other controversy brewing as a result of this trip to Sussex centers on Meghan’s attire.
As you can see in the lovely images above, Markle donned a leather skirt for the occasion.
Yes, it went down to her knees, but it still radiated seduction and sex appeal, which is a major no-no within the confines of the Palace and the rules set up generations ago by some old King and Queen.
Then there’s the issue of Markle’s hair.
In this case, folks aren’t looking at it and assuming Markle is pregnant as a result.
They are looking at it and shaking their irritated heads over how the bun is all messed up.
“They are not afraid to hold hands. They don’t mind showing their emotions,” veteran royal photographer, Mark Stewart, previously told People Magazine, while former palace spokesman, Dickie Arbiter, says none of this ought to be a big deal.
“Meghan and Prince Harry holding hands at a royal engagement is a refreshingly modern approach to their new role both as a couple and as representatives of the royal family,” he says.
That makes sense to us.
Or as much sense as anything can make within this really weird, antiquated and wealthy world.

Thomas Markle Makes Royal Baby Prediction, Continues to Trash Daughter
Thomas Markle has returned to slandering his daughter.
In an interview with The Daily Mail this weekend, the (VERY) estranged father of Meghan Markle once again went off on his child, trashing her for shunning her loved ones and complaining that he has no way of contacting her.
“I’m really hurt that she’s cut me off completely,” Markle tells thie British publication, adding:
“I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the palace, but after I said a few critical words about the royal family changing Meghan, they cut me off.”
This is an extreme understatement, of course.
Mr. Markle has become a household name specifically for going after Markle’s new family members, calling out Prince Harry and company for scaring the heck out of his kid.
Thomas alleges that Meghan is terrified of her new life.
He’s offered no evidence of this, of course, except for the look on Markle’s face in various photos.
“I have no way of contacting my daughter,” Thomas continued in this new story, explaining why Meghan may be angry at him:
“Meghan was apparently upset with me for saying that she and Harry will probably have a baby soon.
“But Meghan’s been saying that herself for the past six or seven years, talking about how much she wants a family. Harry’s been saying it too.”
Thomas Markle got himself embroiled in a pay-for-posing photo scandal with the paparazzi not long before Meghan married Harry in May.
He then suffered a heart attack and and skipped out on the entire wedding ceremony and reception this spring.
Markle has not personally said anything mean about her dad throughout her time as a major celebrity, but insider speaking on her behalf have said the new Duchess has had no choice but to ignore her father.
Because the guy totally sucks.
“What’s sad is that sometime in the next year Meghan and Harry will have a baby and I’ll be a grandfather, and if we’re not speaking I won’t see my grandchild,” Thomas said to The Mail.
“How tragic is that, to deprive a child of its grandfather because I said a few things critical of the royal family.”
Thomas went on to take credit for Markle being the kind and caring person that she is so often described as.
“She became the woman that she is today thanks to everything I did for her,” he says, detailing how he paid to send Meghan to exclusive private schools and Northwestern University.
“Did I get any recognition for it? Any thanks? She doesn’t even speak to me now. How cold is that?”
It didn’t exactly come out of nowhere, Thomas.
We’re guessing Markle isn’t too bothered by her dad’s public statements, considering how few people give them much credence.
But Chrissy Teigen is here to let Markle know she has her back anyway.
“This guy … This guy sucks,” the model and television host Tweeted in response to this latest interview, adding:
“What is wrong with him? Let your daughter be happy, please. This is embarrassing.”

In conclusion, Thomas Markle is just looking for his daughter to let him into her world and for the entire universe to bow down at his feet and show him the gratitude he thinks he deserves.
That’s it, really.
“What riles me is Meghan’s sense of superiority. She’d be nothing without me. I made her the duchess she is today,” Thomas told The Mail.
“Everything that Meghan is, I made her.”

Thomas Markle Jr: Meghan Is Becoming a Royal Zombie!!
With a family like this, who needs enemies?
Meghan Markle’s dad enjoys humiliating the royals — he said so himself. Meanwhile, her sister Samantha says it’s Meghan’s fault if their dad dies, somehow.
Now her brother is claiming that Meghan is being turned into a zombie by the Royal family — his words.
We already talked about how Thomas Markle Jr. sent a letter to the Queen in which he seemed to intimate that Meghan’s new royal life might lead to her premature death.
Now, RadarOnline got their hands on some more of Thomas Markle Jr.’s writing — to the Queen.
“Meghan & Harry look very much in love and happy together,” Thomas Jr. admits.
That’s better, at least, than what her dad says to any tabloid that will listen. He says that her smile is fake and hides some secret pain, blah blah blah.
Thomas Jr. ruins it immediately by saying: “although Meghan [is] living under your rules and Royal household regulations.”
Oh, of course.
This is where it gets worse.
“I think,” Thomas Jr. says. “Meg may feel like she’s being held prisoner.”
We know that being royalty is referred to as a gilded cage, but … this is absurd.
He writes that he worries that Meghan feels that she is both trapped “and turning into a zombie.”
That is not only totally unfounded — seemingly based upon his imagination and perhaps some very bad fanfiction — but totally over-the-top.
Speaking of totally unproven accusations, Thomas Jr. has more to say about what is allegedly making Meghan unhappy.
He writes that Meghan is afflicted by “the tension from Camila [sic] toward her.”
So now we’re to believe that she’s feuding with her stepmother-in-law?
“And,” Thomas Jr. writes. “Also being treated different than Kate.”
Kate is bearing offspring who are directly in line for the throne. Meghan knew that from the start. Most of these alleged conflicts seem to exist in Thomas Jr.’s mind.
“The pressure on Meg,” Thomas writes. “Has got to be overwhelming.”
You know what would really take some pressure off of Meghan’s shoulders?
If her entire shameful nightmare of a family would stop leaping at every opportunity to drag her through the mud.
These messages are, at least in part, a very clear cry for attention from their royal relative.
If they would, perhaps, shut the f–k up for a while, maybe Meghan would speak to them.
But if she never spoke to the people who seek to humiliate her and ruin her happiness again, we would very much understand it.
Now, Meghan Markle may break royal protocol from time to time.
First of all, that’s normal. She’s still learning. She’s an American and very new to the royal lifestyle.
Second of all, there’s never been any confirmation of rumors that she’s hated. We talk about alleged feuds with Kate, but we haven’t seen proof.
In fact, by all accounts, it sounds like she really gets along well with the Queen. That’s no surprise — she’s married to the Queen’s grandson.
It’s fine for people to enjoy imagining an American woman marrying into the royal family and finding that it’s a nightmare. Write that down. Sell your script. Make a TV series.
But don’t try to sabotage your own sister’s (or daughter’s) happiness just because, after you’ve proven that you’re untrustworthy, she doesn’t return your calls.

Thomas Markle Won"t Stop Talking, Enjoys Humiliating the Royal Family
Meghan Markle is happily married to a literal prince, but her disgruntled father Thomas Markle feels like she’s been stolen.
His constant speaking to the press is distressing to Meghan and the Royals, but it sounds like Thomas is starting to enjoy making them uncomfortable.
That’s not speculation — he comes right out and says it. Takea look.
No one gets to choose their parents, folks.
Even though he had already given what was allegedly his “last interview,” Thomas Markle spoke to TMZ to warn the Royal Family that he’s not going away.
“I was silent for a full year,” Thomas says.
“And the press beat me up every day,” he laments. “Saying I was a hermit hiding in Mexico.”
It sounds like he is one of those people who has been consumed by media coverage and speculation instead of just ignoring it for his daughter’s sake.
“So,” Thomas explains. “I gave my story.”
Obviously, Meghan and her new in-laws haven’t been thrilled that he’s just saying whatever comes to mind and getting paid for interviews.
“Apparently,” Thomas says. “That interview put the royal family in their silence mode. …”
That would be a cue for a good parent to clam up if he values the relationship with his daughter. Thomas chose a different path.
“So,” Thomas describes. “I gave another interview to break the silence.”
If your actions are upsetting someone, you usually want to stop that behavior instead of ramping it up.
But, as Thomas explains, he is effectively blackmailing his daughter’s family into contacting him.
“All they have to do is speak to me,” he offers.
“Tomorrow is my birthday,” Thomas continues to TMZ.
He reminds folks that he is “74 years old.”
“And,” he says. “I’m enjoying the fact that I can make the entire royal family not speak.”
What kind of sadistic glee is he getting out of this?
“And maybe,” he imagines. “I can get a laugh out of the duchess.”
Meghan is part of that family — and his behavior is putting her in an impossible position.
Does she speak with him to buy his silence … or is that letting the terrorists win, so to speak?
A source close to the Royals tells Entertainment Tonight that Thomas Markle hasn’t been in touch with them.
The source explains that Meghan and Harry “haven’t had any contact” with Thomas during his little interview spree.
“[They] are frustrated he keeps speaking to the tabloids,” the insider explains. “And taking payment for interviews”
“The phone number that I call doesn’t work anymore,” Thomas Markle himself said in an interview with The Sun.
“The, I guess, liaison with the royal family never answers back,” Thomas complains. “And there’s no address I can write to, so I have no way of contacting my daughter.”
“My message would be, ‘I love you, I miss you, I’m sorry for anything that went wrong,"” he claims.
“And I want to be her child’s grandfather and I want to be near them,” Thomas begs. “I want to be a part of their life.”
Thomas Markle also blabbed some claims that Meghan is terrified and miserable.
“My thing about my daughter right now,” he alleges. “Is that I think she is terrified.”
“I see it in her eyes,” he claims. “I see it in her face and I see it in her smile.”
“I’ve seen her smile for years,” Thomas says. “I know her smile. I don’t like the one I’m seeing now.”
According to Thomas: “This one isn’t even a stage smile — this is a pained smile.”
Some people cannot resist digging the hole even deeper.
You can’t choose your parents, but you can choose your friends.
Meghan’s friend Priyanka Chopra tells People that Meghan is loving married, royal life.
“She’s doing amazing,” Priyanka reports. “It’s so nice to see.”
Priyanka, as you may recall, was also a guest at the royal wedding. Unlike Thomas, who skipped his daughter’s wedding for vague reasons.
It sounds like, if you ever (in a fit of adolescent frustration) told your parents that they were the most embarrassing parents on the planet, you might owe them an apology.
That title may belong to Thomas Markle.

Meghan Markle Continues to Piss Off the Queen By Breaching Royal Protocol
We’re sure being royalty has its perks.
You get to call people peasants and sit in the fanciest chairs … all-in-all, it’s probably a pretty sweet gig.
But there are just so many freakin’ rules you have to follow.
It’s like someone combined being a celebrity with being in fourth grade and tossed in crowns to sweeten the deal.
If you’re raised as royalty, that’s one thing.
You’ve known since childhood that you would be forced to spend your adult life wearing a fake-ass smile and waving to the masses in a way that makes it look like you just learned how to wave.
But if you marry into the Windsor clan — especially after a relatively brief courtship — the culture shock is probably quite severe.
That’s what Meghan Markle seems to be learning the hard way these days, as she attempts to navigate the byzantine labyrinth that is royal protocol.
At one of her first public appearances as a royal, Meghan’s bare shoulders resulted in clutched pearls and shattered monocles all over the British Empire.
Shortly thereafter, Meghan had the audacity to try and hold Prince Harry’s hand in plain view of the plebes.
Needless to say, another scandal ensued.
One would think that after being thoroughly admonished by royal traditionalists in the press, Meg would cool it on the modern attire and PDA, right?
Not so fast, guvnah!
According to several media outlets, Meghan stepped out sporting bare shoulders and clutching Harry’s arm at the 100th birthday celebration for the Royal Air Force yesterday.
And the insults to the crown didn’t end there.
Apparently, Meghan once again crossed her legs at the knee (a no-no, according to royal etiquette experts) in open defiance of the unwritten code of royal conduct.
For shame!
This is probably exactly what the Queen was afraid of when Harry married an American.
This is like that dreadful ordeal with those blasted New World colonies all over again.
Next thing you know, she’ll be downing hot dogs and Budweiser to commemorate the day that impertinent document was signed.

Meghan Markle Attempts to Break Royal Protocol, Gets Shut Down By Prince Harry
Being royalty may sound like a blast — in fact, as far as fantasies go, it’s up there with winning the lotto and showing up to your high school reunion the exact same size as when you graduated.
But the reality is, those fancy titles come with a whole list of rules that must be followed at all times — and for the rest of your life.
It’s a sad fact of palace life that Harry has known about since birth and that Meghan Markle is just now finding out about.
Harry and Meghan have been married for about six weeks now, but it seems she still has a lot to learn about life in the Windsor court.
We’re sure Harry and others tried to prepare Meghan for the many strictures of royal protocol, but that’s like trying to prepare a college kid for the real world.
You just don’t know until you’re really in it.
Anyway, Meghan is a new Duchess, but she’s also a new wife.
And it seems that the required formality of the former occasionally comes into conflict with the romantic giddiness of the latter:
As you can see, it looks as though Meg makes a move toward holding Harry’s hand here.
And he shuts down the maneuver with the speed and agility of a born athlete.
If Harry hadn’t been born a prince, he could’ve played quidditch, or whatever the hell they do in England.
We’re sure Harry meant no harm in refusing to take Meg’s hand, but such a public rebuke had to sting a little.
It’s not hard to see why Meghan may have thought it would be okay to hold Harry’s hand at a royal engagement.
In fact, those no written rule against it.
“The Queen rarely holds hands with her husband in public and this seems to have set an unwritten precedent for the other royals,” Body language expert Robin Kermode tells The Daily Mail.
Kermode adds that Harry may have simply been taking a cue from his older brother, saying:
“It is very clear that William and Kate are emotionally close, however, they do not seem to feel the need to prove their love – particularly when on official state business.”
We guess it’s just one of those things you learn with time.
To extend out earlier college/real world metaphor, there’s no law against getting hammered on two-for-one Tuesdays when you have work in the morning, but you quickly learn that it’s not the best idea.

Kate Middleton vs. Meghan Markle: Royal Feud Alert!
It’s been over a month since Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, and by all accounts, she’s adjusting to her new lifestyle quite nicely.
And it seems she’s doing so without any assistance from the only person on the planet who can truly identify with her situation.
Yes, there was a time when Kate Middleton showed Meghan Markle how to dress for official engagements and otherwise helped to prepare her for life as a royal.
But now, it seems those days are done.
At least that’s the dubious claim being made by the gossip site Closer Weekly.
The site claims that shortly after the wedding, Kate stopped viewing Meghan as a friend in need of advice, and started looking at her as an adversary.
“Meghan learned everything from Kate. But since the wedding, Kate feels like Meghan has barely made any effort with her and is more interested in impressing [Queen Elizabeth],” a source claims.
“In all fairness, Meghan has been busy. But Kate feels like she’s put a lot of effort into their friendship and hasn’t gotten much in return.”
Yes, according to the informant, Kate feels that she and Meghan are in direct competition for the Queen’s affection.
And it’s for that reason that Kate has stopped offering guidance to her former friend.
“She’s a nice person and doesn’t want to see Meghan fall flat on her face, but at the same time she’s cut back on giving her advice,” the insider reports.
The source claims the feud was apparent to royal-watchers during the recent Trooping the Color event.
Meghan was “dress-shamed” for wearing a shoulder-baring ensemble that many traditionalists felt was inappropriate.
Those who claim to know the family best say there was a time when Kate would have warned Meghan about the criticism she would have received.
Now, it seems those days are done.
“She could have saved Meghan from embarrassment. But she didn’t say anything,” the source claims.
If that’s true, that’s some Regina George-level passive-aggressiveness from Kate, and we applaud her for it.
One insider says the real issue isn’t that Kate is worried about losing her spot as the Queen’s favorite, but rather that she feels betrayed by Meghan, whom she had previously thought of as one of her best friends.
These days, the source claims, Kate and Meg are “barely on speaking terms” and the entire royal family can feel the tension.
“Kate feels left out. [Kate] spent years working on her image as ‘the perfect royal,’ and Meghan is stealing her thunder,” the tipster claims.
“The popularity contest has caused a lot of friction at the palace.”
The source adds:
“Since marrying into royal life, Kate no longer has many friends. She really relied on Meghan as a pal and feels utterly betrayed and dropped by her [best friend].
“She hasn’t confronted Meghan yet, but Meghan can sense something is up. Meghan has gone through enough petty drama with her family. She doesn’t need it from her friends”
Well, at least Meg’s royal life isn’t as boring as it appears from the outside.

Thomas Markle Breaks Silence, Teases Royal Pregnancy
The truth continues to come out, Royal Family aficionados!
First, a few days ago, Meghan Markle shared her true feelings on life as Prince Harry’s wife.
Now, in an interview with Good Morning Britain, Meghan Marke’s mysterious father has shared his true feelings regarding what transpired in the days leading up Meghan becoming Prince Harry’s wife.
That is, how does Thomas Markle feel about missing the Royal Wedding?!?
“I was very upset,” he said on Monday in a lengthy chat, adding of the occasion and his non-role in it:
“The unfortunate thing for me now is that I’m a footnote in one of the greatest moments in history rather than the dad walking her down the aisle. That really upsets me somewhat.”
Thomas, of course, was anything but a footnote in the week or so prior to May 19.
First, he was caught in a paparazzi picture scandal, forced to admit that he paid photographers to take flattering snapshots of him.
This would be frowned upon anywhere, but such an attention-seeking move could not be more of anathema to Kensington Palace.
“I thought [it] would be a nice way of improving my look, but obviously that all went to hell. I feel bad about it,” Thomas said on air of the scandal.
“I apologize for it and that’s all I can do. I can’t do much about it. That was a mistake.”
Following this mistake, Thomas actually suffered a heart attack.
He has led a private life in Mexico, very far from the spotlight, for decades… and all the stress and tension of his daughter marrying into Royalty finally got to him physically.
“I couldn’t get over the fact that that had happened,” Thomas said today of the photo scandal and subsequent outrage, explaining:
“All of that stuff was working on me. I’ve got a bit of a heart condition. This pushed me a little further to the point where I had heart palpitations… I had a heart attack.”
Markle’s life was not necessarily in danger.
But doctors did advise him to rest.
Combined with that advice and his embarrassment of the aforementioned scandal, Meghan Markle’s dad did NOT attend her wedding.
“They were disappointed,” he said of Meghan and Harry’s reaction to this news.
“Meghan cried… They both said, ‘Take care of yourself. We’re really worried about you.‘ They said the important thing is that I get better.”
In Thomas’ place, Prince Charles walked Markle down the aisle.
“I was honored. I can’t think of a better replacement than someone like Prince Charles,” Thomas now says.
“He looked very handsome and my daughter looked beautiful with him. I was jealous. I wish I had been there. I wish it’d been me, but thank god he was there and thank him for that.”

– He has not yet met Harry, but has talked to him on the phone.
– Meghan told him during maybe their third conversation about her new boyfriend that the guy indeed, was, Prince Harry.
– She said they had to refer to him as “H” to keep this secret for awhile.

– Is Markle lucky to have found a Prince? Of course, but…
“My daughter’s certainly a prize for him as well. He’s great. He’s an interesting guy, but my daughter’s been a princess since the day she was born.”

Thomas was also asked about everyone’s favorite new gossip item?

She’s wanted children for a long time, yes,” he said of the Duchess.
“And when she met Harry and she spoke about how much she loves him, there’s gotta be a child in the making soon.”
