The Real Housewives of New York Season 10 Episode 22 Recap: Bethenny Frankel vs. Carole Radziwill

It was the end of the line for Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill on The Real Housewives of New York Season 10 Episode 22, as the two women admitted it was time to move on.

Radziwill was quick to reveal that Bethenny’s harsh comments about her in the confessionals were too hurtful to move on from.

“The season made it over for me,” she told Frankel on Wednesday’s finale.

“When you watch the confessional interviews, I’m seeing what you said about me. About not having a job, not having a husband…”

“I didn’t understand until I watched the show and I realized I was really, really trying to salvage our friendship and you didn’t seem that interested,” Radziwill continued.

“And I only can imagine because you knew what you had said at all those confessional interviews.”

“I was trying all season to come back from this,” Radziwill said of Bethenny’s comments.

“At the end, I was like, ‘Thank god we’re done with this season. Thank god we can go back. We can just regroup.’ And then I started watching the show…”

All of the above suggests that Radzwill was on board for another season of the Bravo hit, but it looks like things changed once she watched the season back.

Bethenny’s comments “made me sad but also angry,” the departing cast member said.

For Frankel, Radziwill was just as bad what with her blog post and Instagram live to bash Bethenny.

“The season would not have made it over,” Frankel said. “The bashing with the blogs and the bashing with a friend made it over. … It was really mean.”

Bethenny continued to claim that Carole had changed and that was the reason for the dunking of their relationship.

“You’ve changed too,” Radziwill fired back. “You’ve become catty and gossipy. I didn’t change.

With this being Radziwill’s final episode, she did open up about her biggest regret: Not patching things up with Frankel.

“My regret was that Bethenny and I could never get to a place where… I thought maybe by the end of the season we would be speaking and then reconnect,” Radziwill said.

“Because that friendship was important to me. And that never happened.” “I wish that we had had some kind of conversation so we could have put it into context,” she added.

“It was just hard. I tried. That’s my regret, that I failed.”

At the top of the episode, Carole got into it with Andy. He was furious that she said he was “full of shit.”

Andy has the power to hire and fire on this franchise, so he was likely shocked at the way she spoke to him.

Carole claimed Andy was scared of Bethenny Frankel, to which he replied:

“Yeah, I’m scared of her.”

It was ridiculous, but the most telling moment was Andy asking Carole about her regret from the season.

“Is yours telling me I’m full of shit?” he said with a serious look on his face.

Could this be the REAL reason Carole is out of the series?

As for the way this reunion concluded?

Tears. Lots of tears.

Bethenny turned to look at Dorinda upon being asked what her biggest regret is, and said the following.

“My biggest regret of the season is if I did say, ‘a drunk’ — because you and I heard it the same way when we saw it on TV — but if I called you ‘a drunk,’ I regret saying that to you on television.”

“Thank you, Bethenny,” Dorinda replied while crying. “That actually means a lot.”

“But I will say for the record, in the moment, we both heard it: ‘You’re drunk,"” Bethenny added. “But anyway, I own what was on the show, and that’s fine, and that’s my regret.”

“Um, I think — that actually means a lot to me,” Dorinda said, pointing at Bethenny.

“It’s so stupid — it’s at the end of the show,” Dorinda continued, before meeting Bethenny for a hug. “It means the world to me.”

“I tried to be as compassionate as I could while I was there,” Bethenny replied. “And I saw it, and I was like, ‘Oof,’ you know? I really did.”

Dorinda then admitted she could not answer, and Andy moved on to Tinsley.

She admitted that she was mad at herself for shouting “Shut your mouth and shut your f–king legs!” at Sonja.

Sonja claimed she also regretted “opening that wound” with Tinsley.

And that’s another season in the can!

What do you think of the conclusion?

Carole Radziwill Doubles Down: Bethenny Frankel is a Bully!

In real life, Bethenny Frankel is mourning Dennis Shields, both in private and in public. On the The Real Housewives of New York City reunion, however, she’s been facing off against her frenemies.

Carole Radziwill accused her of bullying her now that they’re no longer friends.

Some RHONY fans took issue with her accusation, and Carole took to Twitter to defend herself. Who is right?

Towards the end of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 10, Episode 21, ex-friends Bethenny and Carole did a postmortem on how their friendship ended.

“What she does is, she creates this narrative, this false narrative about me,” Carole accused. “This false narrative that I’m some girl who’s this, this and this.”

“It’s completely false,” Carole said as she aired her grievances. “Half of it is lies.”

When Bethenny interrupted, Carole said: “Are you going to continue to bully me, or am I going to be able to speak?”

Multiple times, Carole doubled down on her accusation that Bethenny is a bully who has been bullying her.

“Let’s stop using the word bully,” tweeted a fan. “These women are getting paid a lot more of money to be on this show. It’s a choice.”

The fan points out that, in contrast: “When children are getting bullied in schools or People for being different are harassed. That’s bullying.”

Carole replied … and shared that she disagreed.

“I get your point but don’t belittle what is happening here,” Carole wrote in her tweet. “[Obviously] I can handle it but kids need to know…..mocking someone and talking over a person is an intimidation technique. I.e. Bullying 101.”

“If they learn to stand up against that,” Carole wrote. “The bully won’t be quick to escalate it.”

But fans weren’t letting Carole off of the hook.

“You need to think carefully about the word bully,” a fan tweeted. “You haven’t been bullied at all. You both don’t like each other. You both said hurtful things. Move on.”

The fan cautioned Carole: “Don’t undermine others that have had their lives ruined by bullying by saying what has happend with you and Bethenny is bullying.”

“No I disagree,” Carole wrote. “We need to call out even the smallest infractions as bullying. Only this way we can change the dynamic.”

Carole continued: “Just like the movement is calling out ALL inappropriate actions. Men will pause next time they reach for a girls shoulders to rub. Change happens slowly.”

Fans remained unconvinced, and continued to try to explain to Carole that bullying refers to a specific dynamic between perpetrator and victim.

“So where’s the power differential in this situation?” tweeted a fan. “Where’s the intimidation? Where’s the fear? Where’s the helplessness?”

Carole is a rich white woman who is related to royalty. Her potential pool for who could conceivably bully her is pretty narrow.

“She has a choice,” wrote another fan. “Bullied people don’t have a choice. It was an argument between two friends that aren’t getting along right now.”

This is a very complicated topic. A lot of terms — especially buzzwords — get thrown around and then misused until they’re all but meaningless.

Most people would look at two former friends who are no longer again and say that they are feuding. One says cruel things about the other? That’s feuding.

In contrast, the only Muslim kid at a middle school isn’t “feuding” with some mean kids on his bus. A gay child isn’t “feuding” with the classmates who tell him to hang himself.

At the same time, is the definition of bullying as narrow as these fans suggest? Perhaps there are different types of bullying.

Language is complicated, and both the literal meanings of words and the connotations of those words can evolve over time.

Carole Radziwill Mourns Dennis Shields, Releases Statement

Carole Radziwil is no longer a member of The Real Housewives family.

But the former Bravo star still chimed in this evening in response to a major loss for someone within this family.

We’re talking, of course, about Dennis Shields.

The 51-year old, known well to The Real Housewives of New York City viewers as the on-again/off-again boyfriend of Bethenny Frankel, was found dead on Friday morning.

According to a number of outlets, Shields appeared to have overdosed on prescription pills, with various sources saying he actually asked his assistant to give him a dose of Narcan around 9 a.m. on Friday because he knew something was amiss.

Narcan is a drug that is used to combat the effects of an opioid overdose.

Sadly, the request came too late.

Shields fell unconscious and was pronounced dead a short time later.

An autopsy is pending, but it is believed that Shields overdosed on oxycodone.

Frankel, who just discussed her relationship with Shields on the latest episode of the aforementioned Bravo series, has not yet commented on this tragedy.

But her main nemesis on the program has gone ahead and released a statement.

Via Twitter, Radziwill acknowledged Shields’ passing and said the following:

I just heard the sad news about Dennis. He was a good man. My condolences to all his family and friends. So tragic.

CR Tweet

Radzwill is the first of Frankel’s costars to speak on the Shields’ passing.

The journalist announced last month that she’s leaving the program after six seasons, telling Us Weekly:

“I have decided to return to what I do best: journalism and producing.”

Many fans of this franchise believe that Radzwill was either forced out by producers due to her feud with Frankel or left due to this rivalry.

Either way, things between Carole and Bethenny have been contentious for a long time now.

But an awful event such as this pushes all of that tension to the side. It puts things into perspective.

Frankel and Shields starting dating in 2016, about 30 years after they first met.

The two stayed in touch over all those decades, eventually getting together at Shields separated from his wife and Frankel divorced Jason Hoppy.

The romance was up and down and was often chronicled on The Real Housewives of New York City.

On the August 8 installment of this series, Frankel confided in Dorinda Medley, saying she needed a break:

“I didn’t say it to Dennis, but in my own mind, I said, ’90 days. I’m not saying a word to Dennis for 90 days.’ It’s a really hard thing to realize that someone you love, it doesn’t mean they’re the right person,

“And I wish he was.”

Shields was still technically married to his estranged wife Jill at the time of his death.

This is what she said soon after the news became public:

“We are all heartbroken. Dennis was, and will always be, the love of my life. His spirit lives on in our children. Please respect our family’s privacy at this time.”

The NYPD, meanwhile, has confirmed hat “police responded to a 911 call of an aided male inside of 721 5th Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the unconscious male at the location. E

“MS responded and pronounced the man deceased.”

We send our condolences to the loved one sof Dennis Shields.

UPDATE: Sonja Morgan has now also spoken out about Shields’ death, telling Radar Online of Bethenny:

“Dennis is her rock. Dennis was important to her, and her daughter. Another tragedy in her life. I’m so sad for her.”

We feel the same way.

Bethenny Frankel Shows Off Melons, Sends Giant EFF YOU to Carole Radziwill

Bethenny Frankel has hurled some pretty serious shade at one of her most prominent foes…

… by posing in the bright sun.

This past weekend, the Real Housewives of New York City cast member shared a photo on Instagram that featured her lounging in the pool on a float.

This typically would not be a big deal.

As you can see above, Frankel very often posts pictures on her social media of herself in a bikini or in some kind of skimpy outfit.

But this one was different.

“Nice melons #NationalWatermelonDay #FlashbackFriday,” Bethenny wrote as a caption to the following image, which was snapped some time ago.

Why, therefore, did Frankel go ahead and publish it again this week?

To take a hard jab at Carole Radziwill, of course!

This is the theory floated by a Page Six source, who notes that Frankel tagged Radziwill’s ex, Adam Kenworthy, as the photographer behind this snapshot.

Seems like a random thing to have done, right?

Considering Frankel and Kenworthy aren’t especially close and the picture is not even new.

“It’s not nice. It’s a f-ck you to Carole. Adam and Bethenny have not spoken in a year,” the aforementioned insider tells The New York Post, adding:

“Adam and Bethenny are not friends. Carole and Bethenny are not friends. Bethenny’s taken it to a whole new level. It’s like, leave a bitch alone.”

There was a time, of course, when Carole and Bethenny were VERY good friends.

But those who watch The Real Housewives of New York City online or on television each week are well aware that only negative feelings now exist between the reality stars.

And it was pretty clear that Radziwill was taking a shot at Frankel when she announced her departure last month from the franchise.

“After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONY, I have decided to return to what I do best –  journalism and producing,” Carole said at the time, adding in more detail:

“My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament.”

In conclusion, Carole wrote:

“I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind.”

Yup: frenemies.

She might as well have just come out and said: See ya, Bethenny!

But while The New York Post source labels Frankel’s as “obsessive and stalkerish” for shading Radziwill with the watermelon-themed image above, a rep for the entrepreneur scoff at Bethenny’s supposed intentions.

“It has nothing to do with Carole,” this rep says, adding:

“It’s a pic of Bethenny on a watermelon raft on National Watermelon Day. She doesn’t have a wardrobe of watermelon pics, so she used that one.

“She gave Adam credit because he was the photographer.”

Everything except for the idea of there being a National Watermelon Day makes sense there to us.

What do YOU think, readers?

On whose side do you call in this rivalry?

Carole Radziwill: The Real Housewives of New York City Compromised My Values!!

Last week, we learned that Carole Radziwill is officially done with The Real Housewives of New York City.

We get it. If we’d gone from being fast friends with Bethenny Frankel to feuding with her, we’d head for the hills, too.

But after the news of Carole’s departure went public, she took to social media to insinuate that she had a very different reason for walking away.

Following the announcement that she is parting ways with The Real Housewives of New York City, Carole took to Instagram.

“If you were doing something that was forcing you to do things that went against your own value system,” Carole begins her question to her followers.

Carole then asks them: “Would you walk away regardless of the pay?”

For most, that would depend upon what was being asked and on a lot of life circumstances — including pay.

Carole acknowledges: “Its a tough decision.”

Carole Radziwill Instagram Story Vague Departure Message

Carole went so far as to poll her followers on the question.

“My advice,” Carole writes, is: “Save for a rainy day.”

She kind of mixes up her metaphor a little, as you’re about to see. Oh, Carole.

Carole advises her fans and followers to save “because that day might come when the sun is shining.”

The whole idea behind saving for a rainy day is … never mind.

Carole finishes: “and you can walk away with a smile.”

Carole wasn’t joking about that poll, folks. She looked at the responses and even posted a follow-up.

“So,” Carole reports. “80% would walk away from something that went against their own values.”

Well, that’s the figure who say that they would.

“That’s how I felt this past year too,” Carole admits.

“It’s difficult,” she writes, to say goodbye to a good thing.

“But life is long,” Carole says. “And you can’t always play the short game.”

We have to point out the obvious here — and we don’t just mean that Carole didn’t seem to have a problem being a reality star, despite her “values,” back when she and Bethenny Frankel were getting along.

She’s asking people if they’d walk away from a high-paying gig in order to make a moral stand.

Carole’s estimated net worth is around $ 50 million. She is directly related to royalty.

So walking away from a steady gig is … probably less dramatic than it would be if a single mom of two is faced with the choice of continuing to work in an unethical industry or walking away.

Quite frankly, plenty of people would sell their souls to rake in some Real Housewives money.

Carole announced her departure through a statement.

“After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONYC, I have decided to return to what I do best,” Carole shared. “Journalism and producing.”

“I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers,” Carole shares. “All of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind.”

“My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years,” she admitted. “And I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament.”

“I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind.” she said. That last line was a big hit.

Carole concluded: “I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy.”

Ramona Singer Breaks Down Over Carole Radziwill Departure

Ramona Singer is sad.

She"s just…. very, very sad.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week, the veteran Real Housewives of New York City cast member was asked if she had a reaction to the recent news concerning Carole Radziwill.

This news, of course, is that Carole Radziwill is leaving the franchise that made her famous.

The award-winning journalist and reality star (there"s a combo you do not see very often, huh?) made the announcement on Wednesday.

And Singer reacted to it just hours later.

"I love Carole inside and out," Ramona said, barely able to hold off her tears.

"I think she"s really warm, special, down to earth, truthful, giving, kind, supportive of women, genuine, smart [and] fabulous. I"m like, "Wow."

"I"m going to miss not being with her doing the next season. It"s going to be a void.

"This is going to be a void for me."

Of course, not all Housewives would agree with this sentiment.

Radziwill and Bethenny Frankel have been clashing throughout Season 10, with it being rather clear that Carole was making a reference to her former friend and current enemy upon confirming her departure from the series yesterday.

"I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind.

"My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament."

Then, in a perceived dig at Frankel, Radziwill added she"s "thrilled to leave frenemies behind."

In the often-heated parlance of Real Housewives, this was really a pretty tame dig.

Singer is the first cast member to comment on Carole leaving the show, which she joined on Season 5.

Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan and Tinsley Mortimer have not yet commented on Radziwill"s exit.

The Real Housewives of New York City, meanwhile, is in the middle of its current season right now.

It airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

Check out the video above to see Singer"s emotional response to Radziwill"s leaving the program.

Carole Radziwill: Done with The Real Housewives of New York City!

We have another Real Housewives franchise cast shake-up.

Just hours after we confirmed that Kenya Moore has left the Atlanta version of this program admist a messy contract negotiation, we can now also announce the following:

Carole Radziwill is finished with Bravo as well.

The 54-year-old, who not everyone realizes is an award-winning journalist and best-selling author, told People Magazine on Wednesday evening that she’s departing the cable network hit.

She joined the program during Season 5.

“After six seasons on Bravo’s RHONY, I have decided to return to what I do best –  journalism and producing,” Radziwill said today, adding in more detail:

“I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind.

“My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament.

Radziwill came on board as a Real Housewife in 2012, along with Heather Thomson and Aviva Drescher.

It may seem hard to believe now to those who follow this franchise closely, but Carole quickly became good friends with SkinnyGirl founder Bethenny Frankel in Season 8.

Their friendship has soured significantly, however.

Radziwill and Frankel went at it very hard, in fact, on the most recent episode of this reality smash.

You can watch The Real Housewives of New York City online via the following video in order to see what transpired:

In her statement to People, Radziwill concluded with a combination of sincerity and humor:

“I have worked with amazing producers, made great friends, and I’m thrilled to leave frenemies behind.

“I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy. Next.”

For those unaware, Radziwill really does have an impressive journalistic resume.

She was stationed in Iraq back in 1991 and was embedded with an infantry unit of the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan in 2003.

In 2006, Radziwill signed with Glamour magazine to write a monthly column titled Lunch Date.

Carole also sold her first novel, The Widow’s Guide to Sex & Dating, in a six-figure deal to Holt Publishing. It was released on February 11, 2014.

For her work, Radziwill has won three Emmys and a Peabody.

In the wakeof her departure, meanwhile, Radziwill left a very simple note on Instagram. It reads as follows:

Carole Radziwill message

Radziwill’s husband Anthony, died in 1999 after a five-year battle with cancer.

She’s currently in an on-again, off-again relationship with chef and filmmaker Adam Kenworthy.

Carole Radziwill to Bethenny Frankel: If You Come For Me, Don"t Miss!!

This week on The Real Housewives of New York Season 10 Episode 7, Bethenny Frankel and Dorinda Medley were helping the Americans in Puerto Rico with hurricane recovery efforts.

Bethenny gossiped about Carole’s boyfriend, and the feud between the erstwhile friends continued to intensify.

Now, Carole has taken to her blog to write about Bethenny. And she gets pretty vicious.

If you watch The Real Housewives of New York City online, you know that Bethenny was appalled at the slow recovery efforts in Puerto Rico.

While she didn’t toss a paper towel roll into the crowd and declare “mission accomplished,” she did hand out $ 125,000 in gift cards in addition to toys for children and other basic necessities.

In her blog post, Carole praises her … after a fashion.

“I’m glad to see my friend Bethenny step outside her affluent bubble, with her stream of rich boyfriends, rich friends with private planes, million dollar homes, and five-star resort vacations.”

That, folks, is shade. And it absolutely sets the tone for the rest of her post.

“One gets the impression this is the first time she’s witnessed real poverty. It can be life-changing. I know it was for me, many years ago when I first covered tragedies as a journalist.”

You have to love when people talk about someone else’s actions while reminding you of their own.

“The shock of having, then losing, one’s home and all its possessions (and having the guts and dignity to soldier on) is awe-inspiring.”

Yeah, but not in a good way. There’s a fine line between admiring someone’s perseverance and what people call “poverty porn.”

“It is partly why I quietly give money to charities and political campaigns I believe will make a difference in the world. And why, years ago, I created my own charitable foundation.”

And why she “quietly” blogs about it, right?

Carole hopes that Bethenny’s work in Puerto Rico will change her, as well.

“It is a good use of celebrity, and I hope this journey will make Bethenny a wiser and kinder person closer to home too.”

Then she gets more direct.

“From the looks of it she’s got a ways to go.”

Still, Carole expresses optimism for her former friend.

“But I’m not counting her out yet!”

At least there’s that.

“We are now in Episode 7, and as I continue to say how proud I am of her, and ask her about Puerto Rico, she continues to be out-of-control aggressive, parrot back anything Sonja tells her, berate Tinsley (a woman who wrote her a $ 10k check) and insult me behind my back.”

Politely insulting someone instead of directly insulting someone might be better … but not by much, right?

“And that’s just over drinks at Megu. Lol.”

Carole then makes a cringeworthy comparison.

“At lunch Dorinda is being verbally water-boarded, (that’s what we all call it).”

She’s about to explain her analogy, and we get it, but it’s not the most sensitive word to use. Domestic abusers have been known to use this torture method on their victims. Find a new metaphor.

“Bethenny does this often, you’ve all seen it:  her uninterruptable talk pattern that leaves her victims helplessly nodding in agreement.”

Bethenny Frankel has a forceful personality. She is charismatic. That is part of why she is so successful and why she makes for such good television.

“Sonja does this too which may be why these two are attached at the hip now.”

Notably, Bethenny believes that Sonja deserves more respect because she opened her home to Tinsley in her time of need.

“Dorinda is being used as a pawn to further Bethenny’s agenda and she doesn’t quite know it — yet.”

Right now, that agenda is just … helping people in Puerto Rico.

But Carole objects to how Bethenny characterizes her and to how her boyfriend, Adam, is characterized.

“Not only am I a high maintenance, eyelash-wearing, fashion-obsessed, childless friend who doesn’t have a job and isn’t interested in what’s going on in the world, but guess what, Adam is too (minus the lashes)!”

Bethenny did not appreciate that Adam refuses to do charity work without compensation. And she said as much on this week’s episode.

“As a woman, it makes me sad to watch another [woman], who I thought was my friend, talk behind my back with such cattiness and disrespect.”

Some may question whether speaking in front of a camera in footage that will certainly be aired qualifies as “behind someone’s back.”

“But it makes good television and in the end that is Bethenny’s one true friend. Pass the popcorn.”

Carole gets very defensive over her career.

“All I’ll say about the latest bunch of insults, including the bizarre claim that I don’t have a career, is this: I will put my resume up against Bethenny Frankel’s any day of the week.”

She’s happy to compare work histories.

“When Bethenny was auditioning for B movies, I was travelling for ABC News to places similar to what you saw in Puerto Rico.”

We do think that Bethenny was referring to her current work situation. Not that it matters, because it doesn’t.

“After that I worked in publishing and wrote for national magazines, and now yes, I am on Reality TV.”

She then suggests that she has better priorities.

“The irony isn’t lost on me that while Bethenny is gossiping about me over pizza with Dorinda, I’m working. “

At the end come Carole Radziwill’s most explosive words.

“Get off my jock and if you’re going to come for me — you better not miss.”

Dang, girl.

“You did a great thing in Puerto Rico, then you let your ego get the best of you.”

Isn’t that all part of the job?

“I’m still rooting for you… Until next week…”

This feud continues to be a lot.

Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill: Friendship Over!

Fans have finally gotten their first look at The Real Housewives of New York City, Season 10. And there’s a lot to process.

There’s a lot about Luann. After all, she got a divorce after a very short marriage and she also was arrested. But she’s not the only star, and the trailer shows Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill’s friendship on the brink.

It looks like fans’ fears are realized, because Bethenny and Carole are done with each other.

Us Weekly has learned that Bethenny and Carole ended their friendship. It’s sad, folks, but it happens.

To start, their source says that the pair naturally drifted apart last summer because they were both busy with very different activities.

Carole was training for the New York City Marathon. There’s a lot more to preparing for a marathon than choosing a cute running outfit and stretching beforehand.

Bethenny, in the mean time, was working on her B Strong charity. Bethenny is known for her altruistic work that has helped and continues to help countless people.

It wasn’t that either of them hated what the other was doing — they were just occupied with activities that did not include the other. It happens.

Later, however, accidental disinterest in each other turned into something less pleasant.

“Things turned acrimonious while filming.”

Fans and viewers of the trailer (posted above for your convenience) got a little taste of that already.

It’s tense and it’s sad.

Apparently a point of contention was that Carole began “sticking up” for Tinsley Mortimer.

And that just didn’t sit well with Bethenny.

Reportedly, Bethenny feels replaced. That’s never a good sensation.

“Bethenny’s jealous of their relationship.”

So it’s not just that Bethenny and Carole drifted apart.

Carole and Tinsley drifted closer.

“Tinsley has replaced her as New York City Marathon Carole’s bestie.”

They bonded in Bethenny’s absence and she was not feeling it when they started filming again.

Bethenny admitted the division in the teaser clip:

“I’m not sure Carole is as excited to see me as she used to be.”

Bethenny vocally objected to being called “Honey” by her erstwhile friend.

Carole, on the other hand, accused Bethenny of being very “aggressive” around her.

(Bethenny is admittedly a very assertive woman, even by New York standards)

Their apparently quarreling seems to be be about these underlying issues. That doesn’t make it any less sad for fans and viewers to watch, however.

Bethenny and Carole haven’t always been friends. In fact, when the series first began, they hadn’t even met.

While Carole came in and joined the cast in season 5, Bethenny was an original cast member who left after three seasons.

It was only when Bethenny returned to the series in Season 7 that she and Carole met. At the time, they became fast friends.

Season 10, however, will paint a very different story for these two. And that’s definitely going to be sad — though hopefully outweighed by Luann’s drama.

We’ll all find out together when we tune in to The Real Housewives of New York City on April 4th.

Carole Middleton: Battling Alcoholism, Humiliating Kate Middleton, Source Claims

Earlier this month, we reported that Carole Middleton got noticeably drunk while attending a rugby match at London’s Twickenham Stadium.

A single instance of Carole knocking back one pint too many is amusing. Unfortunately, sources are now claiming that it happens quite often and that Duchess Kate often cringes in embarrassment at her mother’s sloshed behavior.

“It seems to be happening a lot lately,” a source tells Star magazine.

“It’s a huge concern for Kate. She’ll hide her booze at her house, but mom just brings her own! Last Christmas, Carole had too much to drink and started telling totally inappropriate jokes.

“Kate was so humiliated that she finally had to drag her away. She told her mom if she doesn’t straighten up, she’ll be banned from all royal events.”

Of course, if Kate is really so concerned, she should probably stop quietly ushering her mom out of the room and start taking her to meetings.

We know Kate has two kids and a whole heap of royal obligations to work with, but certainly her siblings should have time to help their mum get off the sauce, right?

Pippa can’t keep a job, and James seems to devote most of his time to beard maintenance. Then again, those two might be a big of why Carole is getting snockered on a regular basis.
