The Bachelorette: Some Suitors Are There For The Wrong Reasons
If you follow The Bachelorette Spoilers, you know a lot about this upcoming season already. But there’s more to learn.
The entire Bachelor Nation is excited to watch Becca Kufrin seek revenge … sorry, look for love.
Now that we’re just four weeks from the new season, Chris Harrison is teasing some details. He also warns that some of Becca’s suitors are there for the wrong reasons.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Chris Harrison says that Becca Kufrin is a delight … but warns the Bachelor Nation that some of her suitors aren’t there for her.
But first, he talks about the leading lady.
“Becca’s doing great, Becca’s awesome.”
That’s great to hear.
“I can’t wait for everybody to see how much we all love her.”
And, of course, he cannot wait for the Bachelor Nation to love Becca Kufrin as they do.
Sure, fans and viewers got to know Becca on Arie’s season of The Bachelor, but it looks like she really stands out on her own season.
Harrison says that Becca has defied all expectations.
“She’s turned out to be even more than what we thought, in a Bachelorette.”
That is really great to hear. And he expects her to transcend boundaries as she draws in her audience.
“I think everybody is going to relate to her — men, women, they’re going to really relate and fall in love with her, as the guys are.”
He continues to describe her.
Becca is, he says, “grateful, sweet, honest, and open.”
She should make a stark contrast from her former fiance, then.
He says that she’s won over more than just her suitors.
“The crew loves her, the producers love her …”
A lot of reality stars play for the cameras. It sounds like Becca is just as nice behind the scenes.
“It’s been a while since we’ve had somebody like that where everybody is just excited to be with her every day because she just makes it easy.”
Is that some shade that he’s throwing at past Bachelorettes? Uncalled for … but we’re not complaining.
“When one of our Bachelor or Bachelorettes are excited and they make it easy for all of us to go to work every day and travel the world.”

“It’s just fun.”
In addition to sweetness and light, Harrison also says that Becca is a “kick-ass woman.”
But he’s warning the Bachelor Nation that there will be disappointments in their future when it comes to Becca’s suitors.
“Of course there are people there for the wrong reason.”
Some may want to get famous, either to build their brand or to try to become the Bachelor.
But he says that Becca is exactly as she seems.
“That’s the good thing about Becca, she seems like this sweet, demure woman and she is.”
And he says that as kind as she is, she’s no pushover. (Which is probably why Arie dumped her, if Bekah Martinez is to be believed)
“She’s got a backbone, she can take care of her own.”
Harrison does talk about a low point for this season — the eliminations.
He teases that some of them are “gut-wrenching.”
And he mentions that “families are involved.” Interesting.
He says:
“I will say this: I think she definitely sympathizes with Arie more than she did about two months ago.”
That is a rare struggle that every Bachelor and Bachelorette understands. And that perhaps only they understand.
“Once you get in their shoes you really start to understand.”
We can’t wait to see how this all plays out.

Bryan Box, 13 Reasons Why Actor, Arrested for Burglary & Theft
Well, this is yet another blow to to already controversial series, 13 Reasons Why.
One of the show’s actors has been arrested for, of all things, stealing from the elderly. And the way that he went about it is upsetting, to say the least.
You know what else is screwed up? The show hasn’t even been around for a year, and he’s not even the first actor to get into trouble with the law.
Bryan Box isn’t one of the biggest names in 13 Reasons Why.
He plays a high school student named Jamie Garrison.
In an interview, Bryan revealed that he got the role on the hit series by discovering that it was filming nearby — via Facebook — and then looking into being cast as a background character.
He’s not quite an extra — his character has a name and performs actual actions — but it’s a minor role. Even so, that’s a huge break for a 23-year-old, right?
Which is what makes this so sad, disappointing, and difficult to understand.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Bryan Box was arrested on suspicion of stealing from and burglarizing elderly people in San Francisco.
Per the report, he was arrested just before New Year’s and was charged with nine felony counts of burglary, possession of stolen property, and theft by a caretaker of an elder.
See, he apparently worked as a caretaker in multiple Marin County residencies before he got cast on 13 Reasons Why.
Are you ready for this to get sadder? The Marin Independent Journal reports that his alleged crimes took place between September 22nd and November 7th.
According to their write-up, Box visited the elderly people for whom he’d acted as caretaker in the past and offered them kind words or even small gifts, spoke of his new career, and … then allegedly stole from them.
He’s linked to six burglaries and accused of trying to sell some of the ill-gotten gains, which include but are not limited to:
Jewelry, medication, a laptop, checks, and a social security card.
Just one of his alleged burglaries reportedly involved losses of about $ 50,000.
That is … heartbreaking.
Sad that he would (allegedly) do such a thing. And sad that the elderly people who must have been glad to see him must have felt so betrayed.
It’s unclear if Bryan Box will be in the second season of 13 Reasons Why, but we’d point out that Season 2 began filming back in June, though they took a break from filming in October because, you know, California was on fire a whole lot.
Making things more awkward, Box isn’t even the first member of the cast of this nascent series to be accused of serious wrongdoing.
Uriah Shelton is accused of physical assault against a former friend-with-benefits, of having kicked her so hard in the midsection that she had bruising on her internal organs.
All of that is almost a footnote beside the largest controversy: the show itself.
Many ask if 13 Reasons Why glorifies suicide or at least tells a story of suicide in such a way that at-risk viewers, particularly those with suicidal depression, find it harder to resist their own self-destructive urges.
The father of a suicide victim has slammed 13 Reasons Why and singled out executive producer Selena Gomez, accusing them of being reckless and “sick” by creating their show.
Even if 13 Reasons Why didn’t follow sensible guidelines that would make it safe for those who are plagued by suicidal urges, we don’t think that there was anything malicious or “sick” about creating the series.
Just like how someone who uses peanuts in their recipe just wants to create the right taste for their dish. It’s just that, you know, sometimes people are deathly allergic to peanuts. And they die.
But we can absolutely understand how a grief-stricken father who found his teenage daughter hanging in her bedroom and ultimately lost her at the hospital could miss that nuance.
At this point, though, we have to ask — with two cast members accused of serious misdeeds in a year’s time, how may more of these young actors are going to turn out to be so much worse than we’d imagined?

Selena Gomez, 13 Reasons Why SLAMMED, Called "Sick" by Grieving Father
As you know, 13 Reasons Why has been renewed for a second season, even though the Netflix series is incredibly controversial for its graphic portrayal of suicide.
Well, the father of a girl who took her own life immediately after watching the first season is railing against Netflix — and against Selena Gomez.
His distress is understandable, but calling Selena Gomez “sick” and “disturbed” is … well, that might be going a little too far.
Before we get into the father’s controversial comments, here’s a little very important background on why 13 Reasons Why is controversial.
There are graphic depictions of upsetting material like suicide and sexual assault.
Now, that doesn’t mean that 13 Reasons Why necessarily glorifies suicide. Some feel that it does, others feel that it shows the damage done by taking your own life and the grief that it causes.
However, there are certain things to do and to not do when you’re telling a story about suicide.
Namely, don’t highlight the method for it. Don’t provide step-by-step instructions on screen. Don’t include graphic depictions of suicide or self-harm.
If you’re thinking that you wouldn’t see such things and suddenly feel the urge to follow in a suicidal character’s footsteps, well, congratulations. I wouldn’t either. I can also eat peanuts with impunity, but some people can’t be in the room with peanuts or they’ll literally die.
But people who do experience suicidal ideation and are plagued by thoughts of suicide — because, folks, suicidal depression is an illness — are vulnerable to these images and messages.
Parents and school officials have been alarmed by what they describe as an increase in self-harming behavior and suicide attempts — and, in the saddest cases, successful suicides — which they believe are directly related to 13 Reasons Why.
Selena Gomez is an executive producers of 13 Reasons Why. She’s one of seven executive producers, which does not make her some sort of autocrat who controls the series, but she’s definitely the most famous name attached to the show.
John Herndon is a father who discovered his 15-year-old daughter hanging in her closet after apparently having binged 13 Reasons Why. Though Bella was rushed to the hospital, she died 10 days later.
And Selena Gomez’s famous name and famed compassion … well, they’re probably why John Herndon is calling her out in his statement to RadarOnline. And he’s not mincing words, either.
“I’m still completely disgusted. Selena makes me sick.”
Though we can only imagine Herndon’s level of grief, that’s a very strong statement.
“She is an extremely disturbed individual to think that this show has any kind of redeeming social value at all.”
Clearly, she signed onto this project with the best of intentions.
Despite Herndon’s anger, he shows that he understands what suicidal teens are experiencing. But not everyone does.
“Remember that there are teens out there that are in a little darker place and these could be your friends, your sisters.”
And he worries that the intended messages in 13 Reasons Why might be misintepreted.
“Selena Gomez and Netflix need to understand that not everybody’s going to understand this very well.”
He goes on to explain exactly what can happen when someone struggling with suicidal depression witnesses a show that handles the subject this poorly.
“Some people who are battling with depression, this could catch them at the wrong time, creating what is called the trigger event.”
For someone with PTSD, exposure to harmful content would be unpleasant or even awful. For someone with suicidal depression, it could be lethal.
Herndon talks about having written to Selena more than once … on her website.
“I asked that she remove her support and get Netflix to stop,” Herndon complains. “I received no response.”
Well, yeah. Selena Gomez doesn’t personally monitor her website. Honestly I forgot that she even has one. This isn’t 1996. Also, in 1996, Selena was 4.
He’s also calling out Netflix.
“They made those decisions to make themselves look like a socially responsible company yet they are making a product about people who are hurt and how they can hurt themselves.”
We’re sure that the intentions behind the series were just the opposite.
“I’ve seen too many posts by the creators who indignantly say it’s helped more people than it’s hurt.”
Sometimes people double down instead of admitting that they’re wrong. Perhaps this is one of those situations.
“How many people have to be hurt before somebody aside from me stands up and says, ‘You know, this is wrong.’”
Please remember, folks, that Selena Gomez’s involvement does not amount to creative control. And that just because you send her a message does not mean that she’s received it.
It also does not mean that she could somehow outvote her six fellow executive producers or seize the reigns of the series itself.
We have to imagine that part of the appeal for Selena was because she wanted a series that could help young people understand and deal with upsetting issues. And she may have, given her health struggles with Lupus, have been preoccupied with death itself.
We do think that the producers care about the series and the effect that it has. We don’t — can’t — know if 13 Reasons Why has actually claimed the lives of anyone, or if it only changed the time of their death or impacted the method.
All that we really know is that we’re so sorry for John Herndon’s loss. And that insulting Selena Gomez might get attention, but it’s not the way to effect positive change.

Uriah Shelton: 13 Reasons Why Actor Accused of Violence!

He has now been accused of some pretty serious violence. It’s enough that he has a court date … and is under a restraining order.
This … sounds bad.
A lot of Disney stars are truly wonderful people. Whether they go on to great success or fade into relative obscurity after their time as teen actors, they’re still treasures.
But that is, unfortunately, not always the case.
Remember when Sarah Hyland accused Matt Prokop of horrible domestic violence? She got a three-year restraining order against him, and the rest of us got a harsh dose of reality.
Because actors, even actors whom we all but watched grow up on Disney shows and movies, are just people. And some people are truly terrible.
Tragically, it looks like we have another name to add to that list of grim reminders.
This time, it’s an actor from Girl Meets World who has most recently starred in 13 Reasons Why.
Until now, 20-year-old Uriah Shelton was perhaps best known — outside of his acting roles — for his infamous feud with Girl Meets World costar Rowan Blanchard.
Though Uriah has acknowledged the feud publicly (sharing a message that he wrote to her that began with “I know you hate me,” even), we don’t know every detail.
It’s widely believed that Rowan and Uriah clashed over ideology. Rowan Blanchard is a very well-spoken feminist and advocate for minority rights.
Uriah Shelton has posted quite a few things that lead fans to believe that he feels very differently. Fans even noticed that he “liked” a post about the world not needing feminism.
That’s pretty cringey, but he was a teenager at the time and he’s still only 20. You figure that he has a lot of time to learn.
What he’s now been accused of is much more serious.
Uriah Shelton is accused of kicking a (now former) friend in the stomach.
According to documents obtained by People, the unnamed young woman was, until very recently, Uriah’s best friend.
(They also had a sexual relationship, so this may very well be counted as domestic violence even though they were friends with benefits rather than dating; it should count that way)
Apparently, the two of them argued after she attempted to block him from getting into his truck.
“I was standing in the way of his truck door [and] he kicked me in the stomach to get me out of the way.”
She describes Uriah as an “MMA fighter who competed [and] has won titles.”
(That is accurate — he was the 2006 ATA Tae Kwon Do California State Champion in all categories, “including sparring and extreme weapons.” He would have been just a kid at the time, but still)
The alleged kick sounds like serious business, as the unnamed young woman lists her injuries:
“Abdominal and chest trauma, internal muscle bruising, [and] inflamed intestines.”
Uriah also reportedly discussed his firearms collection in order to frighten her.
The court date is set for November 14th, but Uriah has been ordered to stay 100 feet away from his former friend and to attend therapy sessions in the mean time.
Interestingly, the report does not mention alcohol, even though … well, we’re struggling to think of another reason why she’d try to stop him from getting into his car.
(We’re just guessing, but maybe it will come out in court)
Sadly, tons of violence, domestic and otherwise, takes place without the involvement of alcohol, so this could be something else.
Either way, it’s a terrible thing to happen and pretty much the worst way for a friendship to end.
Uriah seems reluctant to comment on the incident or his upcoming court date, but a rep for him says that:he would “never harm another person.”
Which basically means that his rep was just doing their job and may not know much more than the rest of us.

Amy Roloff Gets Dragged Online for Two Very Dumb Reasons
Amy Roloff really cannot catch a break.
The Little People, Big World star is mostly just living her life, hanging out at her farm and and preparing to film the new season of her family’s hit reality show.
She’s also soaking up all the time she can get with her two relatively new (and oh so adorable!) grandkids, of course.
And yet, for whatever reason, online trolls keep giving Amy crap.
In late August, for example, Roloff was criticized for taking a vacation with her boyfriend, Chris Marek, simply because daughter-in-law Audrey Roloff was close to giving birth.
As if all grandparents literally do nothing but sit by the phone during this sort of circumstance.
Then, Roloff was shamed by critics for sharing photos of her hawking various products, as opposed to photos her brand new granddaughter Ember Jean.
Nevermind the fact that Audrey and Jeremy Roloff, Ember’s parents, were actually the ones choosing to take a break from the spotlight while they adjusted to parenthood.
Now, Amy has apparently ruffled the feathers of some Internet users simply by… hanging out with Malek?
The TLC star posted the following snapshot on Facebook this week, including with it a caption that reads:
“I love seeing Chris and he came out for a day each pumpkin weekend.”
For some unexplainable reason, this post has drawn some harsh rebukes.
Take the following comment, for instance:
What can really be said about that, except: WHAT? EXCUSE US?!?
Amy simply got divorced from Matt Roloff, without any rumors of infidelity on either end.
It was an amicable split and the ex-couple still spends plenty of time together, co-parenting and co-grandparenting.
We have no idea what Amy did wrong in the photo above or in general these days.
Just how desperate are folks to hate on Amy? She even received comments that dragged her and Chris for not having their shoes tied!
Moreover, there’s a group of losers out there who are giving Amy a hard time because she kept her married name.
The misguided line of thinking here is that Roloff is benefiting from being a Roloff – due to the popularity and power behind that last name – and that Amy doesn’t deserve to reap the financial benefits of such an arrangement any longer.
“Why does amy carry matts name when they are divorced??” asked Manawaiti Woolford on Facebook, adding: She should b using her maiden name not roloff.”
First, plenty of divorced women keep their married names. It’s just a lot easier that way.
Second, Amy and Matt were married for over 20 years.
They built their family and their brand together. They have four kids together.
Thankfully, some fans out there understand this and have rushed to Roloff’s defense:
All of this heat comes amidst chatter that Amy is feuding with Matt’s girlfriend, Caryn Chandler.
Insiders claim Caryn hosted a birthday party for Matt earlier this month and didn’t bother to invite Amy, snubbing the heck out of Matt’s ex-wife.
This is just the latest example of tension between Matt’s current lover and his former lover.
But Amy has never tried to exploit it for sympathy. She continues to take the high road, refusing to even comment on rumors of a feud.
It’s also worth noting that Caryn knows Amy well. She served as the Roloff Farms manager prior to dating Matt.
So if anyone’s relationship deserves some scrutiny here, it’s that of Matt Roloff, not Amy Roloff.
Overall, however, these two are handling their divorce as maturely and respectfully as possible.
If only people who just surf online and leave comments from the comfort of their living room would do the same thing.

Farrah Abraham Sends Amber Portwood Cease and Desist Letter For Reasons Unknown
The feud continues between Farrah Abraham and Amber Portwood, with the former revealing that she sent the latter a cease and desist letter.
To end her “defamatory” comments, she says.
Farrah said that the Teen Mom OG Season 7 reunion was “emotional,” but she’s still not on speaking terms with the other ladies after it.
“I do not share my stage,” she says, hilariously.
Echoing a familiar theme, she said Amber Portwood and Matt Baier, her controversial fiance, try to emulate and copy her all the time.
“I mean, I don’t give a s–t about either of them, and I’m sick of them trying to be like me. They’re obsessed with me,” Abraham claims.
“I sent them a cease and desist so they need to leave me out of their books, out of their interviews. I don’t want anything to do with them.”
Calling them “just jealous or envious,” she adds, “I’ve tried to be friends with them over the years, and I’m just not anymore.”
“And it’s just unhealthy,” she tells Us Weekly.
“I’m making healthier choices for my 26th.”
Farrah just turned 26, and no sooner did she celebrate that milestone than she learned Amber and Matt were fielding a sex tape offer.
Yes, an Amber Portwood sex tape is a thing that may be happening; Farrah had some harsh words when asked about this sexy possibility.
“They hope to follow in footsteps of mine, the envy of them wanting to be me never fails. I doubt doing a sex tape at 26 is the right direction.”
“It’s sad how hard Amber tries to be me.”
A source close to Portwood and Baier initially said that the couple never received any cease and desist letter, but they later did get it.
Farrah’s legal representative wrote her Teen Mom OG co-star, requesting Portwood end communication and interaction with their client.
The letter demands she cease “false and defamatory statements” about Abraham in the media and cites physical harassment of Abraham.
That reference would be to the Teen Mom: OG reunion fight last year. Portwood personally responded to the report to E! News, saying:
“Not only am I unaware of any cease and desist being sent, it’s also rather unnecessary,” she said, insisting she hasn’t read the thing.
“I have no interest in discussing Farrah or any dialogue with her or her legal team. I’d strongly prefer she keep my name out of her mouth.”
Wouldn’t we all prefer to be left out of any and all Farrah Abraham Word Salads … alas, Portwood’s request may fall upon deaf ears.
Abraham’s ongoing feud with Portwood and her co-stars peaked last season during the aforementioned reunion and hasn’t died down.
Fans saw Portwood take a swing at Abraham over comments made by Farrah’s boyfriend Simon Saran, who called Matt Baier a “pedophile.”

For his part, Baier didn’t comment on the cease and desist, but did respond to her sex tape criticism – with some surprisingly kind words:
“It bums me out that Farrah would say negative things and come at us like that. Our issues with her have nothing to do with her tape.”
“When she made her tape, MTV kicked her off the show. Amber and I were the only ones to support her and to this day we stand by that.”
“Despite our differences with Farrah … our disagreements with Farrah have nothing to do with the decision she made to do an adult film.”
“I can tell you it’s not an easy decision to make either way. There’s a semblance of respect there that she put herself out there like that.”
“That’s the one thing we agree with Farrah on.”
It may be the last, but hey, at least cooler heads are prevailing in one aspect of this Teen Mom tandem’s tumultuous relationship.

Beyonce Conspiracy Theory: 3 Reasons to Believe She"s Given Birth
Toward the end of last month, Matthew Knowles shared an important update on the status of his daughter’s womb.
He said Beyonce will give birth at some point in the relatively near future.
Fans, naturally, started to immediately speculate over when this blessed event will occur and many have now come to a breaking conclusion…
… it already has!
Beyonce and Jay-Z have already welcomed their twins into the world!
Wait, what?!? How?!? No way… right?
Astute Internet users and dedicated members of The Bey Hive believe that Beyonce has already given birth for THREE reasons.
First, the singer shared the following photo on Instagram shortly after Memorial Day Weekend.
It features Beyonce, daughter Blue Ivy and a noticeable baby bump.
So, what’s the big deal? How is this a clue that Beyonce is hiding her already-born-and-undoubtedly-adorable twins?
Because fans think the baby bump looks smaller than it did in photos from Beyonce’s push party.
They also analyzed Beyonce’s crimped hairstyle and believe it’s the same look she rocked in early May.
In other words, according to this conspiracy theory, the above picture is a few weeks older than Beyonce wants followers to think. She posted it to make it appear as though she was pregnant during Memorial Day.
Second, sister Solange apologized to fans last week for canceling a scheduled concert with Migos.
She blamed “production dramas” for the decision, but some wonder if a certain famous sibling of hers actually went into labor.
Third, someone inside of Cedars Sinai Hospital claims to have spotted Tina Knowles in the facility on May 20.
This Twitter user totally violated Tina’s privacy by actually sharing a photo of Beyonce’s mom and writing as a caption to the image:
“THIS IS NOT A DRILL! TINA KNOWLES WAS SEEN AT A HOSPITAL IN LA!!! #BeyHive.”
Now, look… Solange could have canceled that concert for any number of non-baby related reasons.
And Tina Knowles could also have been at the hospital for any number of non-baby related reasons.
On one hand, we understand why some folks out there want to believe in this conspiracy. They are just SO gosh darn excited for Beyonce to be a mother of three that they want the twins to just be here already.
Moreover, Beyonce and Jay-Z will not be selling their newborn photos to any tabloid.
They are not the type of celebrity couple to immediately rush to social media and tell the world that they are brand new parents.
So, sure, we could easily see these superstars taking some time to themselves for a bit before making their major baby announcement.
HOWEVER, in this age of camera phones and paparazzi and websites willing to pay hospital employees for tips or information, it seems impossible to believe that Beyonce could actually keep her babies a secret for very long.

13 Reasons Why Cast: Before They Were Stars

The series has turned its main cast members into legitimate TV stars, but that doesn"t mean they didn"t exist prior to landing these roles.

13 Reasons Why: Officially Renewed for Season Two!
Boy, do we have some great news for all the people who fell in love with Netflix’s hit series, 13 Reasons Why.
Oh, and we also have great news for all the people who fell in love with bashing the hell out of the show.
Netflix just announced that 13 Reasons Why is officially getting a second season, set to air sometime next year.
The announcement didn’t reveal any additional details, so all we’re left with is a whole bunch of confusion. Because seriously, how are they going to pull a second season out of this story?
If you haven’t seen the show yet, either because you’re not interested in seeing graphic suicide and rape scenes or because you’re just not interested period, there’s actually a lot of possibilities for season two.
For instance, while Hannah Baker, the girl who killed herself and left behind the titular 13 Reasons Why, pretty much had her story all wrapped up, the other characters didn’t.
At the end of the first season, one character tried to shoot himself in the head. We saw him being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
Last we heard, the character was in critical condition, so that’s quite the loose end.
Another character was preparing for a school shooting, which would provide plenty of material for the story.
We could see Hannah get justice for all the things that happened to her, or we could see more of her parents’ side of the story.
It’s hard to say what will happen at this point, but before the news of the renewal broke, one of the show’s writers dropped a big hint about what could happen next.
It sounds like even though Hannah killed herself before the first season even began, the character will almost definitely be a big part of the next season.
“One of the things that is a fundamental element of our show is the weaving of past and the present,” the writer, Brian Yorkey, explained.
“Hannah’s story is still very much not finished. She’s an integral part of whatever the next chapter of the story is, and she’s very much still at the center of it.”
While many people are excited about the return of the Selena Gomez-produced series, many people are not.
“THE SHOW WAS CALLED 13 REASONS WHY SHE ALREADY TOLD US THE REASONS WHAT IS THE POINT OF SEASON 2,” one particularly passionate person tweeted in response to the news.
Another joked “13 Reasons Why There Really Shouldn’t Be Another Season of This — written and directed by me coming to Netflix early 2018.”
Others have argued that having a second season, especially featuring Hannah, lessens the impact of her death — the character killed herself, there’s no coming back.
