Josiah Duggar Reveals How He Practiced Kissing Before the Wedding
These days, Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson are all over each other. But just a few months ago, they had never even kissed.
In the restrictive world of the Duggars, the first kiss is very public — because it"s at your wedding, in front of everyone you know.
Josiah is revealing how he prepared for his very first kiss: he practiced on his hand. See the video:
In the teaser for Monday night"s Counting On finale, Josiah is just hours away from marrying Lauren Swanson.
23-year-old Joseph Duggar is a married man himself.
He figured that he should pass on some advice to his brother about what he learned from tying the knot with Kendra Caldwell.
"As far as the first kiss goes," Joseph says. "I mean, I’m sure you can figure it out"
"It’s not really that complicated," he assures his slightly younger brother.
"I asked her just to stay … kinda as still as she could … and then kind of go with it," Josiah says awkwardly.
"That’s what we did," Joseph replies.
"Either one side or the other," Joseph adds. "But it looks better when the guy goes, I think."
"I don’t think you’re going to have a problem," Joseph suspects.
He credits his optimism to communication, because: "y’all probably already talked about it."
Witha little prompting from a producer, Josiah reveals a little more to the Counting On cameras.
"I was thinking, you know what? I wonder what it feels like," Josiah shares.
To be clear, he"s talking about kissing — not the wedding night.
"So I practiced on my hand," Josiah reveals. "I think practicing on my hand was just to see what it felt like from her side."
"You can’t kiss a tree and expect to see what it’s going to feel like for her," Josiah reasons.
Well … he"s not wrong. Lauren is not a tree.
"So if you kiss on your hand, you can feel … like, ‘Okay, maybe I should make my lips more full,’ or whatever," Josiah continues.
That helped him, Josiah explains, to practice "and kind of think of it from that perspective."
"You’ve got to think about it!" Josiah explains.
Obviously, practicing for something like the wedding night using his hand would be strictly forbidden in the Duggar household.
We suppose that kissing his hand must be okay. We hope.
Still speaking to the camera, Josiah gushes about this major life milestone.
"It is interesting to think this is the first day in my life I get to kiss a girl," Josiah says.
He clarifies that he will be kissing Lauren "right smack dab on the lips."
"I mean, it’s special," Josiah shares. "It really is a special moment for us."
"And I’ll try to make sure it’s not just a peck," Josiah promises. "I’ll make sure it’s good."
Most of us have probably seen one viral video or another of a fundamentalist wedding where the bride and groom had never kissed.
These videos go viral because, well, the first kiss ends up being painfully awkward to watch.
While it"s a shame that the Duggars aren"t raised with real choices and personal freedoms, Josiah has seen a lot of weddings.
At 22, his first kiss was probably a little more prepared than a normal person"s at 12 or 15 or 19 or whatever.

Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump: Keep Kissing Putin"s Ass, Traitor!
If you were anywhere near social media yesterday, you may have noticed that the entire internet briefly set aside cat videos and celebrity butts in order to briefly focus on something slightly more important — namely, a US president just casually committing treason on live TV.
Yes, in case you somehow haven’t heard, the passionate bromance of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin continued yesterday, and it was different from all those other times an American president sang the praises of a hostile foreign dictator who was standing right next to him, in that it actually happened in real life and wasn’t part of some terrifying Orwellian nightmare.
Obviously, the hot takes were everywhere on social media yesterday, with just about everyone roasting poor Donnie to a crisp for essentially getting dominated by a powerful Russian on TV in what can only be described as a reverse-Rocky IV.
Even prominent members of the GOP spoke out against Trump’s embarrassing display of supplication.
Of course, if you’re wondering if any of them will do anything about it by, say, running against Trump in the 2020 primaries, the answer remains “hell no,” because ultimately, ceding control of our country to a corrupt superpower is a small price to pay in exchange for corporate tax cuts.
No, the task of usurping Donnie Despot will once again fall to the Dems, who will again be forced to rely upon a much smaller arsenal of weapons than their opponents.
While the Trump campaign will continue to enjoy the support of state TV and an army of Russian bots, whoever runs against the president will be forced to rely on old-fashioned tools such as “words” and “the truth.”
Obviously, those instruments didn’t prove very reliable for Hillary Clinton in 2016, but that hasn’t stopped the rightful president from continuing to take shots at the Ruskie-installed puppet that currently occupies the White House:
“Great World Cup. Question for President Trump as he meets Putin: Do you know which team you play for?” Clinton tweeted when the soccer tournament wrapped up on Sunday.
She followed that up yesterday with a succinct yet potent burn:
“Well, now we know,” Clinton tweeted.
And if you think Clinton is exaggerating, you should really go back and watch that press conference again.
Trump basically had cartoon hearts orbiting that fleshy tube he calls a head the entire time.
Of course, what’s really troublesome about the Helsinki summit is not what was said on camera, but what may have transpired behind closed doors.
But if you’re finding that thought too horrible to contemplate today, you may want to focus instead on the moment when Trump threw a soccer ball at his wife.
You know it was a weird-ass press conference when that instant of hilariously unathletic awkwardness doesn’t even crack the top five on the list of weirdest sh-t that happened.
Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re gonna try and find out if we’ll need to buy new computers once the takeover is complete, or if there’s some sort of keyboard command for all those backward Ks and Rs in the Russian alphabet.

Bella Hadid and The Weeknd: Spotted Kissing at Cannes!
Less than a month after The Weeknd and Bella Hadid were spotted cuddling at Coachella, it looks like these “exes” are at it again.
This time, they’re at a very different festival.
But the PDA — and their apparent inability to keep their hands off of each other, even in public — is the same. Take a look!
The Cannes Film Festival is about more than just movies, folks.
Sometimes, love is in the air. Old loves included.
The Weeknd and Bella Hadid broke things off before he ever started dating Selena Gomez.
But since he and Selena went their separate ways last year, fans have believed that it’s only a matter of time until he and Bella reunite.
(The fact that Selena went back to her old ex certainly didn’t do anything to discourage that kind of thinking)
And it looks like those expectations are being met.
Fans snapped a short video of The Weeknd and Bella Hadid at the Cannes Film Festival.
Now, the video is hazy — it’s not like it was filmed in a recording studio.
In it, The Weeknd and Bella appear to exchange a polite greeting that is thoroughly appropriate for the European festival.
But it sure looks intimate.
What’s more, onlookers revealed that the two seemed inseparable and couldn’t seem to keep their hands off of one another.
Someone’s hand was reportedly almost always on the other’s back or shoulder or arm.
That speeks to a certain level of comfort with each other. Are they getting back together?
It has been 18 months since their breakup, but a lot has changed since then.
Notably, The Weeknd dated and eventually broke up with Selena Gomez.
Back in March, he dropped new, sad music and many wondered which songs were about Selena … and which were about Bella.
it sounds safe to say that his song that seemed to be hinting that he would have given Selena his kidney when she needed a transplant was, you know, about Selena.
But was the song that seemed to indicate that he was dtf (down to “have sex”) with an ex if she only asked about Bella?
Recent signs point to yes.
Still, sometimes exes will hook up or just be really, really friendly with each other at parties but know that, for whatever personal reasons, they shouldn’t engage in a relationship with each other.
Some wonder if this Cannes Film Festival sighting and if the previous sightings of the two making out at Coachella are just that.
Are The Weeknd and Bella just really comfortable with each other? Perhaps even in love — but definitely not dating?
Or are they back together without announcing it yet?
Perhaps only they know for sure.
But it is also possible that the two are working their way towards dating agian without rushing into anything.
When Bella and The Weeknd broke up a year and a half ago, sources revealed that they still had a lot of love for each other.
That much is very clear.
But the couple has recently denied that they’re back together.
Many fans still expect — and even hope — that the two will start dating again.

The Weeknd and Bella Hadid: Spotted Kissing at Coachella!
Obviously, Beyonce’s epic Coachella performance continues to reign supreme in the hearts and minds of the world, but that’s not the only thing that’s happened at the controversial music festival.
For one thing, The Weeknd and his ex Bella Hadid were spotted cuddling and kissing in plain view.
Are they back together?
Us Weekly reports that, on Friday, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd looked cozier than they have in ages while cuddling up at Coachella.
Specifically, an eyewitness says that they “were canoodling and being affectionate as she sat on his lap.”
This was during Travis Scott’s performance at Poppy nightclub’s pop-up debuting Kylie Cosmetics’ Kourt x Kylie makeup line.
This source, based upon their own observations, was only able to draw one conclusion by what they saw.
“They are 100 percent back together.”
That’s exciting for them both and for their fans — if, of course, this eyewitness is correct.
Us Weekly also got the scoop from another witness.
And this source was singing a similar tune about the couple, saying:
“They were completely all over each other.”
Sometimes you see a certain level of comfortable physicality between exes, friends, or even strangers (a party’s a party).
But this source says that things went further than that.
They say that Bella and The Weeknd “kissed a couple of times.”
It doesn’t sound like they were trying to keep things under wraps.
“And Kylie and Kendall Jenner went over to their table for a bit as well.”
What’s especially interesting about these reports is that The Weeknd wasn’t just attending the music festival.
He performed, on Friday, prior to this alleged canoodling.
Specifically, he sang two songs from his new EP, My Dear Melancholy. Those songs were “Call Out My Name” and “Privilege.”
Fan analysis of the lyrics has led to the widespread belief that his new music is about Selena Gomez.
So … did Bella Hadid listen to her ex sing about his other ex but still got put into the mood to take him back?
That’s really impressive.
Fans of the couple will remember that Bella and The Weeknd dated for two years before breaking up in late 2016.
In fact, some felt that when Selena started dating him, she was stabbing Bella in the back. (She wasn’t)
The Weeknd’s relationship with Selena is arguably a greater fixture in people’s minds, even though they dated for less than a year.
That’s probably because his name recognition grew thanks to his association with Selena … which in turn has led to The Weeknd getting accused of using Selena for fame.
No matter what really went down during that relationship, though, Selena has moved on.
And it looks like The Weeknd and Bella are receptive to the idea of getting back together.
That said, there are always uncertainties with music festival hookups.
The atmosphere is very conducive to a what happens at Coachella stays at Coachella attitude. People hook up and then return to their real lives.
But it’s also possible that, even if The Weeknd and Bella are totally onboard with rekindling their past relationship, they still have some things to work out.
Relationships usually take work, and nobody’s putting in that kind of effort at Coachella.

Jennifer Aniston & Brad Pitt: Were They CAUGHT KISSING?!
Ever since the world learned that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have called it quits, fans of the actress have been eagerly awaiting news of Jen reconciling with her most famous ex.
Yes, certain corners of social media are downright obsessed with the idea of Aniston getting back together with Brad Pitt.
And as you can see, the tabloid media has been giving those folks a lot to get excited about.
The question remains, of course – is there any real basis for these reports, or is this an instance of the press giving the people what they want.
Unfortunately for all you Brad and Jen ‘shippers, it looks as though the latter is the case.
According to the new issue of Star magazine, Aniston and Pitt have “secretly rekindled their relationship with a little help from a famous friend.”
That friend is reported to be none other than George Clooney, because writing for Star magazine basically just means selling your celebrity fan fiction to a gullible public as actual news.
The magazine contends that Brad and Jen have been “secretly getting together for late-night hookups, and it’s all because of George.”
A source tells Star that after Jen and Justin called it quits, Clooney “encouraged Brad to reach out and give their relationship another chance.”
And apparently, George didn’t stop there.
An insider claims Clooney “engineered the exes’ first undercover rendezvous on March 3,” during a “private pre-Oscar party in Beverly Hills.”
Makes perfect sense.
Obviously, a 54-year-old who heads up a multi-pronged billion-dollar business empire and who recently became a father would have nothing better to do with his time then orchestrate a wacky rom-com caper for his buddy.
So why aren’t Brad and Jen shouting the news of their reunion from a rooftop?
Don’t worry, Star has that base covered, too.
“Jen wants to keep the reunion under the radar,” a source tells the mag.
“The last thing she wants is even more scrutiny.”
We assume they’ll continue to keep things under wraps until it becomes evident that Aniston is pregnant with Pitt’s baby.
And of course, Star magazine will be the first to report a baby bump sighting.

Kate Gosselin: Under Fire for Dog-Daughter Kissing Photo (Yes, For Real!)
With apologies to Donald Trump and Jenelle Evans, Kate Gosselin may be the most hated person in America.
We aren’t exactly fans of the reality star and multiple-time mother, but the grief Gosselin often faces online has built to such an extreme that we almost feel badly for her.
Almost, we said.
Let’s not get carried away here.
Over the past few months, Gosselin has shared a number of photos online that has resulted in her getting dragged left and right on social media.
There was the time she posted a throwback picture of her twins in celebration of their birthday, for instance, only for haters to label Mady and Cara as “mean” and “entitled.”
There was also the time she shared a seemingly innocent picture of her kids on Halloween, only for haters to wonder about the absence of Collin.
(Neither Kate nor ex-husband Jon have provided any detail on the location or status of 13-year old Collin, who is enrolled in a program away from home for behavioral issues.)
However, this latest Kate Gosselin-related scandal may be the most ridiculous of all-time.
It starts and ends with this image:
Wrote Gosselin as a caption to this snapshot of her German Shepherd kissing her daughter, Alexis:
“The love between my human children and my furry children continues to melt my heart on a daily basis!
“Mak just can’t love us enough – and we feel the same about him! We adore him!”
Any regular clicker on Gosselin’s Instagram page can vouch for this statement, as nearly every other photo is of a canine.
But that isn’t really the point at the moment.
The point, according to Internet users who just really want to be outraged over something, is that Gosselin is a bad mother because she let her kid get kissed on the mouth by a dog.
Just consider these actual comments left in response to the picture in question:
I love animals, but even doctors say don’t kiss them or let them lick you in the mouth. They put their noses and mouths everywhere we don’t want to know. Just saying.
For someone who was such a germaphobe, I’m surprised you allow your dogs to lick your kids mouths.
I love my fur babies but I also don’t kiss them on the mouth…. seriously. They lick their own butt….eeek.
It’s definitely clear at this point that Kate can’t win when it comes to trolls such as these.
Some people just can’t get over the way she treated her former husband or her kids on either of her reality shows.
And we get it.
Some of the stories surrounding Gosselin make her sound anything but stable.
But you’ve gotta pick your battles, people.
If you criticize absolutely everything she does, you’ll be left with nothing to say when Gosselin truly deserves your ire.
Sometimes it’s best to ignore, move on… and then really go on the offensive when Gosselin inevitably earns some Internet scorn.

Al Franken Apologizes for Groping, Kissing Woman Without Her Consent
In the aftermath of the Weinstein rape accusations and further accusations about numerous powerful men coming to light, not a lot of revelations have really shocked us.
But today, a radio newscaster named Leeann Tweeden publicly accused Al Franken of having groped her and kissed her without her consent in 2006.
Al Franken has issued an apology, but that doesn’t in any way negate his past actions.
Describing her upsetting experiences with Al Franken, Leeann Tweeden writes:
“In December of 2006, I embarked on my ninth USO Tour to entertain our troops, my eighth to the Middle East since the 9/11 attacks. My father served in Vietnam and my then-boyfriend (and now husband, Chris) is a pilot in the Air Force, so bringing a ‘little piece of home’ to servicemembers stationed far away from their families was both my passion and my privilege.”
Tweeden shares that she was going to be in a skit that Franken had written, and he kept pressuring her to “practice” the scene’s kiss.
(Before getting into politics, Franken was on SNL. So a skit makes sense. A kiss, though, should not be necessary. Rehearsals less so)
“He repeated that actors really need to rehearse everything and that we must practice the kiss. I said ‘OK’ so he would stop badgering me.”
There are sadly a lot of harassment stories that we’ve heard, especially lately, involving women giving in not out of a desire to consent, but because they’ve been worn down or fear the consequences of saying no.
“We did the line leading up to the kiss and then he came at me, put his hand on the back of my head, mashed his lips against mine and aggressively stuck his tongue in my mouth.”
That is gross and unacceptable. You do not kiss people without consent. Kisses should be fun for both parties or they should not happen at all.
“I immediately pushed him away with both of my hands against his chest and told him if he ever did that to me again I wouldn’t be so nice about it the next time.”
That is a more than fair response.
“I walked away. All I could think about was getting to a bathroom as fast as possible to rinse the taste of him out of my mouth.”
A horrifying feeling.
“I felt disgusted and violated.”
And remember that she still had to go on stage with him.
“Not long after, I performed the skit as written, carefully turning my head so he couldn’t kiss me on the lips.”
After that, she avoided interacting with him. But eventually, his harassment continued … while she slept:
“The tour wrapped and on Christmas Eve we began the 36-hour trip home to L.A. After 2 weeks of grueling travel and performing I was exhausted. When our C-17 cargo plane took off from Afghanistan I immediately fell asleep, even though I was still wearing my flak vest and Kevlar helmet.”
She did not learn that he had posed with his hands over her breasts until looking through the CD of photos that the photographer had given her, back at home.
She felt violated all over, and you can see why:
Kevlar or no, there is no excuse for that.
Senator Al Franken has publicly apologized:
“The first thing I want to do is apologize: to Leeann, to everyone else who was part of that tour, to everyone who has worked for me, to everyone I represent, and to everyone who counts on me to be an ally and supporter and champion of women.”
Starting with an apology is absolutely appropriate. This is a clear apology, unlike Louis C.K.’s open admission. There’s a difference, and it matters.
Al Franken continues:
“I respect women. I don’t respect men who don’t.”
We feel the same way.
“And the fact that my own actions have given people a good reason to doubt that makes me feel ashamed.”
Shame is very appropriate.
Mitch McConnell has called for an ethics investigation into Al Franken, and Al Franken has agreed.
Leeann Tweeden has publicly accepted Al Franken’s apology, and says that she is not calling for an ethics investigation into him.
(We’re not sure what there is to investigate, as Al Franken’s apology sounds like an admission, but even Franken isn’t opposing it)
Many people on both sides of the political aisle feel that it would be appropriate for Al Franken to resign.
Overall, Democratics haven’t shown any signs of chill in condemning Al Franken’s shameful, inexcusable actions.
The controversy surrounding Alabama candidate Roy Moore’s alleged penchant for underage girls, one that got him banned from a local mall in his thirties, comes to mind.
We all need to remember that, though some political parties may respond different to different accusations, sexual harassment and sexual predation don’t know political boundaries.
