Taraji P. Henson DESTROYS Ryan Seacrest on Red Carpet
There were not many surprises at the 90th annual Academy Awards on Sunday night.
As expected, The Shape of Water won Best Picture and Frances McDormand won Best Actress, for example.
But the real action took place ahead of the annual show, as E! decided to let Ryan Seacrest interview celebrities on the red carpet…
… despite some sexual harassment allegations having been leveled against the omnipresent host.
(A former stylist claims Seacrest made inappropriate remarks at her and took inappropriate actions with her, such as pushing her head toward his crotch at one point.)
Seacrest did not land nearly as many pre-Oscars interviews as normal, with many stars shunning him on the red carpet out of respect for the #MeToo movement.
But Taraji P. Henson did choose to speak to Seacrest.
And she also chose to destroy him on live television.
After being asked a question by Seacrest, Henson smirked at the possibly shady man in front of her and replied:
“The universe has a way of taking care of taking care of good people,” she said, as she touched the E! host on the chin. “You know what I mean?”
Seacrest said that he agreed, while social media unanimously agreed that Henson had just completely torched Seacrest on his very own show.
A few users pointed to Henson giving Seacrest a hug after the interview as proof that they are no hard feelings.
And Henson later told People Magazine, amidst chatter that she dissed Seacrest during their chat, specifically with the way she touched his face:
“I did it to keep his chin up. It’s an awkward position to be in. He’s been cleared but anyone can say anything."
Later, Seacrest addressed the situation on Twitter, writing that he had “nothing but love for his friend” and thanking her for “hanging out with us on the E! Red Carpet.”

Jennifer Lawrence: Slammed For Defending Ryan Seacrest, Appearing Drunk on Red Carpet
Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
We’re referring, of course, not to the literal Jennifer Lawrence falls that were once such a common occurrence on red carpets, but rather to the slow decline of what previously seemed to be one of the sturdiest careers in Hollywood.
Although come to think of it, based on her recent descriptions of her own booze intake, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Jen take an actual tumble again soon.
Usually around this time of year, J-Law is wrapping up a promising Oscar campaign.
These days, however, she’s promoting the poorly-received spy snoozer Red Sparrow, and thus far the press tour has been about as abysmal as the film’s reviews.
Lawrence sat down for an interview with Howard Stern today, and in a true sign of how much things have changed since the earlt days of the shock jock’s career, it was Jen who created a minor scandal with her comments.
While she’s not nominated this year, Jen will be in attendance at the Oscars, and Stern asked if she’ll be chatting with E! News, despite recent sexual harassment allegations against Ryan Seacrest.
“I don’t know about the Ryan Seacrest thing,” Lawrence replied.
“I think it is scary, you know. He has not been to trial for anything. I am not a judge. I am not a jury, you know,” she said. “I don’t know… that is where this stuff gets tricky.”
As many have pointed out Harvey Weinstein also hasn’t “been to trial for anything” but Lawrence gleefully called him a “boil on the ass of Hollywood” several times in the past week.
While she’s certainly not wrong in that assessment of Weinstein, the fact that she seems more willing to believe her fellow famous actresses than the mid-level E! employees who accused Seacrest has prompted many to accuse Lawrence of hypocrisy.
This is far from the first time that Lawrence has made comments that don’t quite align with the feminist agenda she usually espouses.
Of course, in today’s climate, it’s more important than ever that stars remain consistent in their messaging.
For the most part Jen has done just that quite admirably, which makes her occasional slip-ups all the more glaring.
Now a new theory has emerged about why Jen hasn’t been as poised as usual during her current promotional tour.
Jen has sat down with Andy Cohen twice this week and during their second interview, she revealed that she got drunk on the set of Watch What Happens Live before proceeding to the New York premiere of Red Sparrow.
“I did get drunk at your thing,” Lawrence admitted on Cohen’s SiriusXM show.
“Can we look at the premiere photos please? I look like I had had electroshock therapy.”
Lawrence continued:
“In my head I’m like, ‘I’m a goth dream,’ and then I looked at the photos and I’m like, ‘I’m a goth dream on crack’,” she added.
“My eyes were like ‘I’m not drunk!’”
Booziness has always been a part of Jen’s public persona, and it’s likely that she was at least partially joking.
Still, if Jen isn’t more careful when discussing sensitive topics in public, she’ll soon have fans imporing her to do her drinking at home.

Ryan Seacrest Sex Abuse Allegations: Accuser Speaks Out
Back in November, the world learned that Ryan Seacrest had been accused of sexual assault. The details of the allegations were alarming.
Initially, people mostly just heard that the accusation had been made by a former stylist. Now, the world knows her name.
And she’s opening up about her very own #MeToo story.
Suzie Hardy was Ryan Seacrest’s stylist at E! from 2007 to 2013.
She was a single mother with a preschool-aged daughter who found the idea of a decent-paying job a “godsend.” At first.
Hardy alleges that, during her years of employment, Ryan Seacrest subjected her to undesired sexually aggressive behavior.
Among the accusations is that he struck her butt with enough force that it left a mark hours later, that he grabbed her genitals on multiple occasions, and that he pressed himself against her while in his underwear.
E! claims that their investigation found insufficient evidence of all of this. In a social media video, Kim Zolciak joked about sexual harassment and lamented “poor Ryan Seacrest.” He has a lot of fans and sympathizers.
But now, Hardy is telling her story.
Speaking to Variety, Suzie Hardy discusses her allegations against Ryan Seacrest.
“As proud as I am and as strong as a woman as I am, as smart as I am and as much work as I’ve done with therapists, it really affected me.”
She opens up about what she thought of E!‘s investigation deciding that there was insufficient evidence.
“Total exasperation was my definite feeling when I heard about it.”
But it doesn’t sound like she was surprised.
“I felt like by the third interview, it was obvious the investigator was whitewashing it for Seacrest’s side.”
And she claims that the investigator never contacted four witnesses whose names she provided.
E! objects to the characterization of their investigation as being one-sided.
“E!’s investigation was extremely comprehensive and thorough.”
E!‘s statement continues:
“Over the course of a two month process, our outside counsel interviewed more than two dozen people regarding the allegations, including multiple separate meetings with the claimant.”
And they maintain that the investigator is reliable.
“The investigator is an attorney with nearly 20 years experience and is highly regarded professionally.”
Therefore, they say, the investigation went just fine.
“Any claims that question the legitimacy of this investigation are completely baseless.”
Andrew Baum, the attorney representing Ryan Seacrest, says:
“It is upsetting to us that Variety is electing to run a ‘story’ about untrue allegations that were made against my client, after they were told that the accuser threatened to make those false claims against him unless he paid her $ 15 million.”
Claims that accusations come from extortion attempts haven’t been uncommon during the #MeToo movement. Or before.
“At that time, the claimant threatened to issue a demonstrably false press statement unless she was paid. Instead, my client proactively and publicly denied the claims and agreed to fully cooperate with E!’s investigation about the matter.”
Seacrest’s attorney seems to agree with E!‘s findings.
“On January 31st the network notified us that their independent third-party investigation had concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support her claims, effectively, clearing my client’s name.”
Well … insufficient evidence can lead to an acquittal at trial, but it doesn’t sound like a resounding exoneration, either.
“It’s telling that after my client refused to pay her money, and the E! investigation resulted as it did, that she is now coming forward to share her debunked story to the press.”
There are further details to Hardy’s accusations.
In separate accounts, both Hardy and a coworker witness accuse Seacrest of another misdeed while Hardy was at the Roosevelt Hotel to help him prepare for the Academy Awards.
Both describe Seacrest as having been in his underwear with a visible erection. He allegedly grabbed Hardy, threw her onto the bed, and climbed on top of her and rubbed himself upon her.
According the the accusation, he stopped only when Hardy’s coworker yelled at him.
What Hardy describes as the worst incident was whens he was dating a powerful entertainment attorney. When the two had only just begun to date (and they ended up dating for three years), she says that Ryan Seacrest asked inappropriate questions about their sex life as she tied his tie.
She says that when she asked him to stop asking if she had “f–ked” the man yet, Seacrest allegedly grabbed her genitals.
Hardy says that she fled the room in tears, and that a production assistant approached her minutes later with an offer.
Apparently, the PA was willing to walk her to human resources, but also cautioned her that she’d likely be fired if she reported anything.
Hardy, still a mother to a young daughter, declined.
Ultimately, Suzie Hardy says that she was called in by E! to answer questions. They wanted to know if she had a physical relationship with Ryan Seacrest.
She says that she told them no — they weren’t dating or sleeping together. She says that she also told them about her allegations, and that she spent hours there at the time.
This was in 2013. She says that she was told a couple of weeks later that her services would soon no longer be required. She says that she and Seacrest were kept apart until for her remaining few weeks.
Many find this whole story disturbing.

Ryan Seacrest Has Now Been Accused of Sexual Harassment
Ryan Seacrest is the latest famous name to face allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ubiquitous TV and radio personality has been accused of acting inappropriately with a former stylist.
This same publication reports that the the alleged victim made a substantial financial request of Seacrest in exchange for her silence.
The American Idol emcee and Kelly Ripa co-host refused said request.
The unnamed woman worked as a wardrobe stylist for E! and says the incident took place about 10 years ago.
No details about her claims against Seacrest have been made public.
A spokesperson for E!, however, has confirmed that the cable network is conducting an investigation into the matter.
And Seacrest has released a lengthy statement in his own defense.
It reads as follows:
Recently, someone that worked as a wardrobe stylist for me nearly a decade ago at E! News, came forward with a complaint suggesting I behaved inappropriately toward her.
If I made her feel anything but respected, I am truly sorry.
I dispute these reckless allegations and I plan to cooperate with any corporate inquiries that may result.
I treat all my colleagues with kindness, dignity, and understanding, as this is a principle that’s core to who I am.
Throughout my 25 years in the entertainment industry, the majority of my co-workers have been women, and I’ve endeavored to foster a positive work environment of mutual respect and courtesy, as that’s how I believe it should be.
I’m distraught that anyone or any situation would call that into question.
I’m proud of my workplace reputation, and believe my track record will speak for itself. I’m an advocate for women.
I will continue to support their voices.
Seacrest, of course, is a very busy and successful producer and host.
He currently sits each morning opposite Ripa on Live With Kelly and Ryan” weekday mornings on ABC; is scheduled to serve as host of that network’s upcoming revival of American Idol next spring.
This news comes amid a wave of sexual harassment and assault allegations that have rocked Hollywood over the pastfew weeks, starting with back-to-back bombshell reports in The New York Times and The New Yorker that detailed allegations of sexual assault by Harvey Weinstein.
Since then, accusations of misconduct have been leveled against such significant stars as Kevin Spacey, Lous C.K. and Jeffrey Tambor, just to name a few.
