Nikki Bella and John Cena: It"s Over! For Good! For Real This Time!
Nikki Bella and John Cena have tapped out.
For good and for real this time, one half of this long-time and famous couple says.
Following a lot of back and forth this spring, which even included a public and heartfelt plea for reconciliation from the multiple-time WWE champion, Bella has told People Magazine that her romance with Cena is over.
She will not be getting back together with him, chiseled body and enormous biceps notwithstanding.
“After I called off the engagement, we tried to work on our relationship to get back to where it was, and in order to move forward with our wedding,” Bella said this week, adding:
“After much time and soul-searching alone and together, we have decided to officially part ways.
“I had a beautiful and loving 6-year relationship with a wonderful man. I have the utmost respect for John, but I know this is what’s best for me.”
Back in April, Cena and Bella called off their engagement, as Nikki mentions in her statement above.
They said at the time that the decision was “difficult,” but necessary and asked for their privacy to be respected.
This request, of course, was a tad bit ironic when you stop to think that Cena and Bella have agreed to have their lives filmed for the reality show Total Bellas.
Moreover, it was Cena himself who went ahead and made a few details of their previous split public.
The wrestler appeared days later on The Today Show and poured his very handsome heart out.
“I still love Nicole, I still would love to marry Nicole, I still would love to have a family with Nicole,” Cena said on national television, explaining that he’s very open to having children, a pretty extreme change in his earlier stance on this topic.
“I don’t want anybody else.
“I love Nicole and I’m really trying to support her in her trying to find whatever it is she wants that made this fall apart in the first place,” Cena added a few months ago.

Fast forward to the end of May and Cena appeared to have gotten his wish.
Sources claimed back then that the stars had reunited, although perhaps it should have been telling that neither Cena nor Bella themselves commented on this supposed reconciliation.
This latest break-up news, meanwhile, comes just one day after Bella was seen calling off their engagement for a second time during the season finale of Total Bellas.
The episode was taped many months ago, it’s worth noting.
But it’s also worth noting just what Nikki said at the time about the relationship.
It just sucks,” she said during the finale, adding:
“I wish it could be different and I think that’s why I’ve had almost six years of working on us and fighting and just taking in a lot. I just feel like I’ve hit the point that I’m just so exhausted and done.”
Bella didn’t sound bitter than and she doesn’t sound bitter now.
But she does sound sure of herself.
“It’s just hard when you love someone so much and care for them so much, but you just can’t do it anymore,” Nikki tearfully concluded on the episode.
“It’s not his fault, it’s not my fault. We’ve had this amazing love story and it’s just come to an end.”

Nikki Bella and John Cena: We"re Back Together!
So much for Nikki Bella and John Cena being down for the count.
About six weeks after the WWE grapplers and reality show stars called off their engagement, sources tell Us Weekly that Cena and Bella are back together.
“Nikki called off the wedding earlier this month so she could have more time to make a decision with what she wanted in life,” an insider close to the pair tells this tabloid.
This source continues:
“Calling off the wedding was the right decision at the moment and their relationship only grew from it.
“It didn’t mean that any love was lost, or that they lost any feelings for one another, but they both have realized that they love each other and want to be with one another.”
Cena and Bella had been together for six years at the time of their break-up last month.
It was never clear exactly why they went their separate ways, although whether or not they were going to have kids in the near future, far future or at all was apparently a topic of tension.
“While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another,” the wrestlers said upon announcing their split.
A short time afterward, however, Cena appeared on The Today Show and poured his well-chiseled heart out.
“I had my heart broken out of nowhere,” Cena said at the time, growing emotional during this appearance, adding on air:
“I’ve looked at myself every day and I’ve tried to evaluate myself and the woman that I love.”
Without getting into specifics, Cena said that an “unfortunate set of circumstances” led to the romance ending, but made it as clear as possible that he’d be very open to another chance:
“I still love Nicole, I still would love to marry Nicole, I still would love to have a family with Nicole.”

The 41-year old WWE veteran has said for years that he didn’t want to have children.
But as you can see above, he’s now changed his tune and would be happy to impregnate Bella if she so desires.
Whatever it would take to make sure the couple walks down the aisle at some point, which is what they agreed to do back when Cena proposed inside the ring at Wrestlemania in 2017.
Tweeted Cena after their subsequent engagement party:
“Such a wonderful, meaningful, emotional day yesterday with the woman of my dreams and both of our families.
“I love you Nicole, you’ve made me realize the importance of togetherness.”
How sweet, right?
We’re very glad to hear that these to have worked out their issues and we send them nothing but the very best wishes.
It’s worth noting, of course, that neither Cena nor Bella have confirmed their reconciliation.
So let’s hope this isn’t a big tease from Us Weekly.

John Cena: Nikki Bella Tore My Heart Out!
To many people, professional wrestling is a fake sport.
But take a look and a listen to the video below and one thing is very, very clear:
John Cena"s pain is oh so real.
The WWE star and actor appeared on The Today Show yesterday, opening way up about his recent split from fellow WWE star Nikki Bella.
The pair broke up last month, following six years together and plans to get married.
"I’ve always been honest with you guys. I also don’t want to ruin the viewers’ morning by giving them a bowl of sadness soup," Cena told Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, using an amazing expression we had never heard before.
He continued:
"It’s been up and it’s been down.
"It’s been incredibly reflective, which is amazing, but it’s very difficult. I had my heart broken out of nowhere…
"And anyone who has experienced that knows that it comes with a series of bad feelings.
"But I’ve looked at myself every day and I’ve tried to evaluate myself and the woman that I love.”
Cena and Bella"s romance played out on E!"s Total Bellas, and will continue to do so when Season 3 of this reality show airs.
Appropriate for someone who has starred for years on Monday Night Raw, Cena wasn"t finished with his raw emotions on air, either.
"I still love Nicole, I still would love to marry Nicole, I still would love to have a family with Nicole,” he said, adding:
“There was an unfortunate set of circumstances where our relationship ended…
"I am in my house alone surrounded by these emotionally strong memories…
"I don’t want anybody else. I love Nicole and I’m really trying to support her in her trying to find whatever it is she wants that made this fall apart in the first place."
Wow, huh?
Bella told Extra shortly after this interview aired that Cena"s words left her "speechless."
She also seemed to confirm that she was the one who got "cold feet" in anticipation of her wedding, explaining as best she can:
"I have hope and I’m just at a point in my life where I feel like I kind’ve lost me, and I want to find me and work on me."
Could this all be a PR stunt to build up ratings for the next season of Total Bella? Yes.
If so, however, Cena is playing his part perfectly.
"The point is for anyone out there speculating on what’s going on, I love her," he said on Today.
"I want to be with her. I want to make her my wife. I want to be the father of her children. I just want us to work."
