Kenya Moore: Producers Are Hunting for Her RHOA Replacement

Last year, Kenya Moore made a choice to marry for love and respect her husband’s desire to not become a reality star. That decision may cause her to lose her peach.

Kenya’s tried hard to make up for it, but it looks like she might be fired and replaced with Kim Zolciak. Ouch.

Now it’s really looking like her time as a reality star is over, because producers are apparently on the hunt for fresh talent.

RadarOnline reports that The Real Housewives of Atlanta producers are looking for new Housewives.

Their source dishes on the process:

“They are meeting so many new women and signing them up to film casting reels.”

Some shows have potential contestants film their own casting reels, but they clearly want to see how these women perform with Bravo’s cameras rolling.

“They want new Housewives in Atlanta and they are already testing a few ladies.”

There’s no way of knowing if they’re filming them with each other, with hired actors, or even with existing cast members.

But we imagine that they’ll hold off on introducing them to the main cast until a couple of big decisions are final.

By big decisions, we mostly just mean whether or not Kenya is getting the boot.

“They’re going to make the official call about Kenya and the other ladies right after the reunion.”

That will be a huge decision, for the show but especially for Kenya.

And also for Kim Zolciak who, as we’ve mentioned, has merely been a friend of the Housewives on this past season.

“Kim coming on board full time won’t be determined until after the reunion is taped.”

And a certain friend of NeNe Leakes’ status as a friend of the show may carry on … but they haven’t made that decision.

“And Eva​ Marcille may or may not be brought back yet.”

If you don’t quite remember what landed Kenya Moore in hot water in the first place, wonder no more.

Last year, she had a secret wedding in which she married Marc Daly without the presence of any of Bravo’s cameras or producers.

The whole point of being a Real Housewife is that the show follows your life, particularly huge milestones like a wedding.

Unfortunately for Kenya, the man with whom she fell in love isn’t just camera-shy — he believes that The Real Housewives of Atlanta portrays black men in an unfairly negative light.

His refusal to film with her means that Kenya has less screen time.

Producers have reportedly been considering firing her and replacing her with someone who is committed to the role.

Since then, she’s tried everything to get back on the good side of producers by showing that she doesn’t need her married life to be interesting.

Kenya even went so far as to fake an explosive meltdown while the Housewives were doing charity work.

But it clearly has not been enough.

Kenya couldn’t go on the Barcelona trip.

And the footage of her crying while her husband’s out of town isn’t exactly the sort of Real Housewives content that keeps viewers’ eyes glued to their television sets.

Reportedly, this has already cost her $ 100,000. And she may be booted from the show.

Kenya Moore’s loss could be Kim Zolciak’s gain, as the Don’t Be Tardy star and mother-of-six really wants to be a full Housewife again.

Kim has never, ever shied away from the camera, and that goes for her whole family.

But if producers are looking for new applicants, it may be that they’d prefer a fresher face.

Some say that, if Bravo does fire Kenya, they’ll be punishing her for falling in love. Others say that they’ll be punishing Marc Daly for taking a moral stance against what he believes to be harmful content.

Others, however, say that it’s just good business.

They see Kenya Moore’s behavior as breach of contract or failure to live up to the role of Housewife.

Maybe it’s someone else’s turn to receive a peach.

12-Year Old Girl Comes Under Fire for Hunting Photos

Aryanna Gourdin is 12 years old.

But she isn’t into Frozen or softball or Pretty Little Liars or anything like that.

Well, she may be into those things, we don’t want to presume.

But Aryanna Gourdin has become a source of heated debate online because she’s most definitely into hunting.

Gourdin and her father, Eli, recently took a trip from Utah to South Africa, with Aryanna excitedly sharing a photo on her Facebook page of her sitting on top of a dead zebra.

She’s holding a bow and arrow and she has written the following as a caption:

“One of my dream hunts for sure.”

Should a 12-year old really be out hunting for big game?

Gourdin sees nothing wrong with it.

“It’s something I cherish and enjoy and I want other people to see what I experienced,” she said in an interview with Good Morning America.

This father-daughter trip was one of several the pair have taken over the past five years, but her Facebook postings have turned Gourdin into a topic of heated discussion.

One recent photo received over 73,000 comments, with some users are calling Aryanna “sick” and an “animal hater.”

In a post on Tuesday, Gourdin did acknowledge the uproar.

“My last profile picture was very offensive to others and I have learned my lesson with that pose, [sic] I apologize.”

But Gourdin’s father doesn’t want his daughter saying she’s sorry for having a hobby.

Or, on a grander scale, he doesn’t want her saying she’s sorry for who she is.

“We’re proud to be hunters and we’ll never apologize for being a hunter,” Eli told GMA.

Eli also wants to clear up misunderstandings about hunting: the giraffe he and his daughter killed? The one she’s posing with above?

It was offered to them for a kill by the farm they were visiting.

“They actually had an older giraffe that was eating up valuable resources other giraffes need to survive,” he said.

He also said that the meat from the animals they’ve killed was donated to a local village and will feed 800 orphans over the next month.

Despite the controversy, Aryanna said she doesn’t plan to give up one of her favorite activities.

“I would never back down from hunting,” she says. “I am a hunter and no matter what people say to me, I’m never going to stop.”

This is merely the latest in a long line of viral hunting controversies.

Remember Walter Palmer? The dentist who reached a level of Internet infamy when he killed a lion named Cecil?

Or Kendall Jones, the college student who also liked to post photos of her kills online?

Facebook actually deleted a number of these images, stirring a major controversy in July of 2014.

Craig Strickland: Country Singer Missing, Friend Dead After Ominous Hunting Tweet

Authorities are searching for Craig Strickland after 29-year-old country singer went missing on a duck hunting trip this week.

He went hunting with friend Chase Marland, who was found dead, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety confirmed in a statement. 

Police have “recovered one subject; Chase R. Marland, 22 year old male from Van Buren, AR., from Kaw Lake,” a spokesperson said.

“At this time search efforts are still underway in attempt to locate Craig M. Strickland, 29 year old male from Springdale, AR.”

Both men were in a boat, with “no personal floatation devises in use … the boat has been found but not recovered at this time.”

Authorities continue, “At this time the search efforts are going to be suspended for the day due to weather and fading lights.

“Search efforts will resume in the morning.”

Additionally, a law enforcement source also notes that the search for Craig is still a rescue effort, not a recovery effort, at this time.

On Sunday, a search was launched when a boat the two men were using to hunt ducks north of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was found capsized.

That news came just two days after Marland tweeted about the risky trip, as if his online words unknowingly foreshadowed his fate:

“In case we don’t come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma.”

“#IntoTheStorm.”

Strickland’s band, Backroad Anthem, posted on Facebook: “Everyone please say special prayers for the family of Chase Morland.”

“They were very close friends and it is such a heartbreaking loss. Randy Strickland (Craig’s father) has informed us Craig has not been found.”

“Please keep praying for his safety. We are trying to think of a scenario where he is still alive. Hoping against the odds.”

Teresa Giudice to Be Home From Prison By the Holidays, Has Already Started Job Hunting

It’s been nine months since Teresa Giudice went to prison for bankruptcy fraud.

During that time, she’s managed to stay relevant (and cash in) by selling her prison photos, helping to broker a deal that allowed her husband and kids to land a Bravo special, and, of course, arranging for her return to the series that made her famous.

Of course, like all prisoners, Teresa’s been mainly concerned with doing her time and getting out as soon as possible.

Now, after a truly epic string of bad luck and worse decisions, things are finally starting to look up for Tre, as insiders say the controversial reality star will be home for the holidays.

And with the exception of parole requirements (and the fact that Joe Giudice will begin a 41-month sentence soon after Teresa’s release), she’ll be permitted to return to everyday life as a mother of four:

“Teresa won’t be required to go to a halfway house because that is typically for those that have been behind bars for a much longer term than the thirteen months Teresa will have served,” an insider tells Radar Online.

“Individuals that go to a halfway house need assistance and to be monitored as they transition back into society. Teresa wasn’t sent away long enough for that to be an issue.

“She is counting down the days until she will be reunited with the family for Christmas.”

Of course, there will be one major change: Like other parolees, Teresa will be required to get a job.

“Reality star” won’t cut it in this case, as the terms of her parole require that Teresa punch in and perform actual work every day, like the rest of us.

Hilariously, her best option at this point seems to be the boutique that her sister-in-law/rival Melissa Gorga is opening in Monclair, New Jersey:

“Teresa could absolutely work there,” the source says. “It would be a natural because both ladies will be filming for RHONJ. The show would get great footage of them working together.”

Sounds like RHONJ is about to reclaim it’s place as the most drama-packed Housewives series.
