AGT Stunt Goes Horribly Wrong, Woman Nearly Plummets to Death
In a word? YIKES!
In a few more words? The video above is not for the faint of heart.
On America"s Got Talent last night, Mary and Tyce, a husband and wife trapeze team, initially caused the jaws of all the judges to drop as they performed gravity-defying tricks high above the stage… which was on fire throughout their act.
Yes, fire.
But then Mary dropped from the sky and a collective gasp went over the entire venue, with all in attendance fearing the worst.
Tyce, it should be noted, is legally blind in his right eye due to a progressive eye disease.
For the couple"s climactic big trick, he blindfolded himself as he hung upside down and prepared to catch his flipping wife.
But Mary slipped out of his hands and plummeted to the stage.
It was here, naturally, when the show went to commercial, leaving viewers in mortal suspense until it returned — to the look of horror on Mary"s mother"s face in the crowd as she held the couple"s two-year old in her arms.
Thankfully, Mary was okay (unbeknownst to fans until later, she and her husband had placed a thick mat across the ground), bounding up eventually with a triumphant look on her face.
And also some bruises on her head.
"We would like to try the trick one more time," Mary even said.
"No! It"s fine!" Mel B screamed immediately. "It"s fine."
Guest judge Ken Jeong then explained that, even though things didn"t go flawlessly, it was clear how skilled the artists really are.
"This is not America"s Got Perfection, it"s America"s Got Talent!" the actor said. "Nobody can do this. I mean, it"s OK!"
Added Simon Cowell, with everyone still trying to gather themselves after witnessing what had transpired in front of them:
"I don"t think there"s ever been a singer on any of our competitions who"s been note-perfect. It doesn"t make them not amazing, it makes them human…
"Although the consequences of this are slightly worse than falling off-key, whereas you nearly broke your neck. And the fact that you"re nearly blind makes this incredible."
It"s true. On both accounts.
Check out the frightening video above and find out whether Mary and Tyce were advanced to the next round.

Roseanne Barr: I"ll Make Restitution, But I Did Nothing Wrong!!
Last week, Roseanne Barr’s racist tweet and the ensuing backlash got her sitcom revival cancelled. Womp womp.
This week, she is trying to convince people that she is “making resitution” for what she’s done. That’s very vague, but sounds good.
Unfortunately, she might be more convincing if she weren’t retweeting outlandish, horrible statements about the same woman she compared to an epe.
Roseanne Barr tweeted that former Senior Adviser to President Obama, Valerie Jarrett, was the child of the “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes.”
That, folks, is racist. Comparing black people to apes has a long and terrible history, and it is impossible to imagine that Roseanne did not know that.
Though she had made a similar statement about another member of the Obama administration several years ago, it was the outcry over this tweet that prompted ABC to cancel her series.
In addition to using racism as a weapon to target a woman whose politics she dislike, Roseanne also cost the entire cast and crew their jobs.
While multiple sources indicate that a spinoff without Barr might actually happen, it sounds like a long-shot.
Roseanne herself seems to at least acknowledge that she did something wrong. On Tuesday, she tweeted:
“I’m making restitution for the pain I have caused.”
It is not clear whether Roseanne is referring to the people she targeted with racist insults — people like Valerie Jarrett.
She may also be talking about the cast and crew who are suddenly in search of new jobs even though her show had previously been renewed for a second season.
Many of these people may have had to turn down offers that have now expired because they already had Roseanne lined up. Some are scrambling.
But maybe Roseanne really wants to convince fans who felt betrayed by her racism that she’s not the same as she was.
Though retweeting replies like this one may make that harder to believe.
A fan tweeted, and Roseanne retweeted, this:
“You didn’t cause any pain. Those people always hated you.”
Point of order: actually, plenty of people who currently dislike Roseanne Barr were fans of her, years ago, when she was an advocate for equality. They wonder what happened to make her like she is today.
“Valerie Jarrett wants Israelis and Jews chased into the sea, and she’ll celebrate.”
We’re horrified by this statement and also unsure of the source of Jarrett’s alleged desire to red bull an entire diverse ethnic group of millions of people.
Obviously, Roseanne is not responsible for the abhorrent things that her fans say.
But she chose to retweet this. She is responsible for that.
And many feel that it calls her entire “restitution’ statement into question.
Roseanne also tweeted this:
“Deplatforming — read about it.”
Deplatforming is usually brought up when people are talking about nazis.
The idea is essentially that while people are free to think and say the most evil, abhorrent things imaginable, that doesn’t mean that other people have to listen.
It also doesn’t mean that these people need a platform from which to spew their vile rhetoric.
Thus, deplatforming is making sure that people like famed nazi Richard Spencer have as few opportunities to try to share their ideas about genocide as possible.
Based upon that tweet, Roseanne apparently believes that deplatforming is a bad thing and that it is happening to her.
In that case, is she suggesting that her racist tweet was fine, and that this was all a sinister conspiracy to boot her off of television?
To be honest … based upon her social media history, this would not even the most bizarre and improbable conspiracy theory that Roseanne believes.
But though people have rushed to her defense — sort of — by claiming that she isn’t racist but is in fact just crazy, there is no evidence of that.
Racism is a lot of things, but it is not a mental illness. Millions of people with mental illness manage to not be racist. Sometimes, people are just bad.
We would all like to see Roseanne do and say better things. Maybe she’s serious about restitution. We sure hope so.

The Bachelorette: Some Suitors Are There For The Wrong Reasons
If you follow The Bachelorette Spoilers, you know a lot about this upcoming season already. But there’s more to learn.
The entire Bachelor Nation is excited to watch Becca Kufrin seek revenge … sorry, look for love.
Now that we’re just four weeks from the new season, Chris Harrison is teasing some details. He also warns that some of Becca’s suitors are there for the wrong reasons.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Chris Harrison says that Becca Kufrin is a delight … but warns the Bachelor Nation that some of her suitors aren’t there for her.
But first, he talks about the leading lady.
“Becca’s doing great, Becca’s awesome.”
That’s great to hear.
“I can’t wait for everybody to see how much we all love her.”
And, of course, he cannot wait for the Bachelor Nation to love Becca Kufrin as they do.
Sure, fans and viewers got to know Becca on Arie’s season of The Bachelor, but it looks like she really stands out on her own season.
Harrison says that Becca has defied all expectations.
“She’s turned out to be even more than what we thought, in a Bachelorette.”
That is really great to hear. And he expects her to transcend boundaries as she draws in her audience.
“I think everybody is going to relate to her — men, women, they’re going to really relate and fall in love with her, as the guys are.”
He continues to describe her.
Becca is, he says, “grateful, sweet, honest, and open.”
She should make a stark contrast from her former fiance, then.
He says that she’s won over more than just her suitors.
“The crew loves her, the producers love her …”
A lot of reality stars play for the cameras. It sounds like Becca is just as nice behind the scenes.
“It’s been a while since we’ve had somebody like that where everybody is just excited to be with her every day because she just makes it easy.”
Is that some shade that he’s throwing at past Bachelorettes? Uncalled for … but we’re not complaining.
“When one of our Bachelor or Bachelorettes are excited and they make it easy for all of us to go to work every day and travel the world.”
Of course. You always
“It’s just fun.”
In addition to sweetness and light, Harrison also says that Becca is a “kick-ass woman.”
But he’s warning the Bachelor Nation that there will be disappointments in their future when it comes to Becca’s suitors.
“Of course there are people there for the wrong reason.”
Some may want to get famous, either to build their brand or to try to become the Bachelor.
But he says that Becca is exactly as she seems.
“That’s the good thing about Becca, she seems like this sweet, demure woman and she is.”
And he says that as kind as she is, she’s no pushover. (Which is probably why Arie dumped her, if Bekah Martinez is to be believed)
“She’s got a backbone, she can take care of her own.”
Harrison does talk about a low point for this season — the eliminations.
He teases that some of them are “gut-wrenching.”
And he mentions that “families are involved.” Interesting.
He says:
“I will say this: I think she definitely sympathizes with Arie more than she did about two months ago.”
That is a rare struggle that every Bachelor and Bachelorette understands. And that perhaps only they understand.
“Once you get in their shoes you really start to understand.”
We can’t wait to see how this all plays out.

Jenelle Evans "Jokes" That David Eason is Black: What is WRONG with Her?!
Jenelle Evans … just … bless her heart.
She can be completely awful, of course, and she does awful things all the time, but sometimes those things are less about her character and more about her intellect.
Which is to say that sometimes she does horrible things not because she"s being malicious, but because she"s just kind of dumb, honestly.
Take, for instance, her tweets from earlier this week about her husband, David Eason, and how he can"t be racist because he"s black.
And before you ask, yes, she actually said that …
1. Honey, No
2. Who Cares?
3. Real Subtle
4. Sure, Jenelle
5. What

Little People, Big World Fans to Chris Marek: WTH is Wrong with You?!?
We’re very sad to say it, but…
…. here we go again.
As has been well documented over the past several months, Amy Roloff receives flak nearly every time she shares a photo of herself and boyfriend Chris Marek.
It’s really not clear why.
Marek has given the public no reason not to think he’s in this relationship for the right reasons and Amy has been divorced from Matt Roloff for about two years now.
And yet:
Roloff goes on vacation with Marek, posts a picture and BAM! The fangs come out from certain followers.
There seems to be some kind of vocal minority out there that believes Marek is using Amy for her money and/or that Amy doesn’t have a right to be in a serious relationship right now.
The latest example of these critics speaking out took place over the weekend.
As you can see above, Amy shared a photograph of her and Marek, out and about on St. Patrick’s Day.
“A little Irish sprinkle w/ luck. #goodfriendsgoodtimes #stpatricksday #amyssecondactcontinues,” wrote Amy as a caption to this seemingly harmless picture.
But was it really so harmless?
No, not according to some trolls who may or may not have some major issues with which they need to deal.
One person, for example, called Chris out for not wearing green, while another told him to go ahead and “get lost.”
So what that Amy is very happy with Marek, apparently!
These Little People, Big World fans (can we even call them that, really?!?) are out for blood when it comes to Chris.
Harsh, right?
But, wait, it gets worse…
Look, we know the Internet can be a mean place.
It would be silly of us to pretend otherwise or to list every insult anyone ever hurled at any Roloff out there.
This is just a confusing and unfortunate pattern, as Amy even gets attacked for sharing a simple post about Easter.
Thankfully, she almost always seems to have a smile on her face.
She doesn’t appear as if she’s letting this misguided hate get her down in any way.
We’re very happy to see that.
And we can’t wait to see more of Amy and her family when TLC finally starts airing new episodes of Little People, Big World on April 3.
Slide back up to the top of this post to check out the official preview!
