Demi Lovato: I"m Out of Rehab and Ready to Vote!

If you’ve been anywhere near an internet-enabled device in the past 24 hours then we probably don’t need to tell mid-term elections are being held in America today.

A more smug site might tell you that if you haven’t voted already, you should stop reading this article and go do so, but we know this is 2018, and you’re not sitting in front of a massive fat-backed monitor with a blinking green cursor, so feel free to take this article with you to the polls and read it on your phone in line!

After all, there are lots of reasons to perform your civic duty, not the least of which is that all the cool kids are doing it, including a freshly-rehabbed Demi Lovato!

Yes, Demi posted on Instagram for the first time since July today.

The singer broke her silence in order to encourage her fans to get out and vote!

As you’re probably aware, Demi suffered a near-fatal overdose over the summer, and she spent the three months that followed hospitals and rehab facilities.

As far as we know, Lovato left rehab late last week.

Over the weekend, she was spotted out and about with new boyfriend Henry Levy, marking the first time that the singer has been seen in public since she nearly lost her life in July.

There has been concern about Demi and Henry’s relationship, as Levy is a newly-rehabbed former addict himself.

Sources close to Demi say there’s nothing to worry about, as Henry has been sober for the better part of a year, but like Demi, he’s also been in and out of rehab numerous times.

“He used to have a drug problem,” one insider recently told Radar Online.

“He used to like to party.”

The source adds that these days, Levy is “sober and straight-edge.”

It’s great that he’s taking the necessary steps to regain his health, but there are many good reasons that addiction specialists caution their patients against forming close relationships early in the recovery process, particularly with fellow addicts.

But hey, today we’re choosing to focus on the bright side.

Demi is reclaiming her life, and all over the country, Americans are reclaiming their democracy!

Big Brother Recap: JC"s Vote Divides the House

Kaitlyn Herman is out of the Big Brother house, and Sunday’s episode proved that the rest of the cast could the drama without her in the house.

With Kaitlyn being evicted 9-1 against Rockstar, her former houseguests wondered where that extra vote came from.

Viewers knew it was JC, but most others seemed to think it was Tyler because they thought he and Kaitlyn were closer in the game than they were being led to believe.

JC planned to spread paranoia around the house because it would help keep the target off himself. He was campaigning to send Kaitlyn out the door for much of last week.

Scottie started to act stranger than usual, and everyone concluded that he must be the one who flipped.

The HOH competition was mostly a game of chance. The houseguests were tasked with sliding on a bit of wood and get to get to the other end of a platform in 8 seconds.

Bayliegh was the lucky victor, and she immediately got to work to find out who to put up on the block.

Her pool of targets was revealed to be Brett, Scottie, and JC, but Faysal was not going to stand for JC to be put on the block.

He said that Rachel would be a better option against Brett because he knew that putting two people from the other side of the house would give them the numbers.

Bayliegh turned to Haleigh to let her know that Faysal would do anything to keep JC in the game. It resulted in a blow-up between the two women and Faysal.

Faysal was furious that Haleigh would question his loyalty after he saved her from the block with the veto last week, but the three of them managed to patch things up.

As Bayliegh was in a tailspin wondering what to do about the nominations, she turned to Rachel and asked that she would go up as a pawn to get Brett out.

Bayliegh said she had a good reason for it: Scottie was running his mouth and saying that Rachel was the liar and that she needed to be sent home.

To get Rachel on her side, Bayliegh told her about the Identity Theft power and the Vegas actress was blindsided by it. Rachel was not impressed about going on the block but liked that she got some intel from Bayliegh.

Will she tell her allies or will she keep quiet about it?

As for Bayliegh, she confirmed in the DR that things could change in the next few days, likely alluding to JC or Scottie being put up if someone comes down.

What are your thoughts on the latest episode?

Will Bayliegh change her target?

Kim Zolciak Wants You to Vote on Her Next Boob Job: How Big Should They Be?

Georgia MILF Kim Zolciak is now 40, but she hasn’t lost her edge. And by edge, we mean her figure.

However, the reality star has grown dissatisfied with her breasts and, worried that they’re too big, has decided that it’s time for a change.

She’s undecided about how big her boobs should be — and is asking fans for advice.

“I obviously have implants,” Kim shared on her podcast, House of Kim.

“I have the largest implants they actually make,” Kim says.

That’s kind of a boasty thing to say, but some could read it as a self-own.

Kim has massive implants, she says, “but it doesn’t look that big on my body because of just the way I’m built.”

“But,” Kim announces. “I’m thinking about actually getting my boobs reduced.”

Kim Zolciak Boob job poll

“I already called Dr. Hochstein,” Kim continues. “Who did my boobs and tummy a few years ago.”

“He did my hernia repair and my tummy tuck,” Kim says, explaining: “After that, you might as well!”

By that, she means that her tummy tuck is “excused” (not that it needs one) because she was already getting surgery in that area.

Kim reveals: “And I said, ‘You know, I feel like I should get my boobs reduced.”

“They’re heavy,” Kim complains. “My posture is terrible, I’m getting older."”

Boobs, whether amplified with implants or not, can be heavy (and way too hot) and be much more of a burden than a lot of admirers like to imagine.

“I’m thinking like a C, a full C,” Kim says. “I have to have all my clothes altered.”

“I have to buy a size 6 in everything when I could wear a size 2 in tops,” Kim grumbles. “Because of my boobs and then have everything altered.”

A lot of people could buy clothes of a different size if just one little thing — from shoulders to torso length to, yes, boob size — were a little less.

“So it’d be nice,” Kim says. “To just be able to wear something.”

But Kim wants to be absolutely clear that her desire for a reduction is not because her boobs are sagging.

“They’re perky because I had a lift,” Kim clarifies.

It’s the weight on her, not the toll exacted by gravity, Kim says, “so it’s not really that.”

It’s a matter of constant discomfort, Kim explains, saying: “It’s just the weight of them.”

The fact that she asked for the opinions of fans is hilarious.

There are plenty of people on the internet — most of them trolls — who love to tell women exactly what they should do with their bodies.

We can only imagine that they grew bored when she asked them if she should get a full C cup or DD sized implants next.

As you can imagine, purists who think that she shouldn’t have implants at all and size kings who think that there’s no such thing as a boob too large had plenty to say.

Ultimately, this is Kim’s decision. Not a choice on the part of her fans, her doctor, or her husband.

She should go with whichever boob size she’ll like the most.

Big Brother Spoilers: First Showmance, Viewer Vote Winner Revealed!

Big Brother Season 20 has gotten off to a rather lackluster start.

With a bunch of new twists thrown in, the show is starting to feel like Big Gimmick instead of the show waste so many hours every summer watching when we should probably be doing other things that are way more productive.

Julie Chen confirmed on Wednesday’s launch show that viewers would be able to influence the game more than ever this time around.

Viewers are allowed to vote to give specific houseguests a good power or a dangerous power. Thanks to the lid being lifted on the live feeds on Thursday night, the game is starting to take shape.

We learned that Faysal Shafaat received “Hamazon Delivery” app, and that’s by no means a good thing. He was gifted with a game-changing twist, and it could come at the expense of his tenure inside the house.

The more troubling thing here is that Faysal barely got a moment on-screen in the two episodes that have aired so far, so it probably means the others have come across better.

Will we get to see another side to him on the live feeds? Quite possibly.

In any case, he is being force-fed meat boxes that are being delivered at a quick pace. It was originally supposed to be ham, but it was swapped out with vegan ham because of his religion.

We are still awaiting confirmation on which houseguest won the extra dose of power this week, but based on fan reaction; it sounds like Sam could be the lucky victor.

Ever since entering the game, she has been at a big disadvantage. She lost out in the first competition and was turned into a robot. This means that she is taken out of the house at times, and the houseguests can only communicate with her via a robot.

This appeared to hurt her game Thursday night when the first HOH competition found the houseguests trying to throw her out of the competition by filling her tank with balls.

In the end, Tyler emerged as the winner. He had a conversation with Sam and understood that she was having a tough time of it in the house.

However, he rewarded her by throwing her up on the block alongside Steve, so there’s that. If one thing is becoming clear, it’s that there is no loyalty in the Big Brother house.

As for the first showmance, that comes in the form of Chris “Swaggy C” Williams and Bayleigh Dayton. Bayliegh was the one who talked Swaggy (yes, the name is ridiculous!) down from his high horse after winning one of the first competitions.

On Thursday night, the pair were flirting like crazy on the live feeds. Hell, at one point, Bayliegh even said that Swaggy would look good under her tree at Christmas.

It’s risky getting that close to someone in the house so soon in the game, but we’re sure we will find out whether they have any lasting potential in the coming weeks.

Okay, Big Brother fans!

We have the veto competition coming up, as well as the winner of good app.

What are your thoughts on the first round of spoilers?

Liam Hemsworth Tells Australia to Vote YES on Marriage Equality!

Liam Hemsworth is more than just really ridiculously good-looking. He’s more than just an actor. He’s also a good person.

And people are hoping that, just as he’s seemed to be a moderating influence on Miley, maybe Liam’s goodness can rub off on others. Particularly, on all of Australia.

Australia is voting on marriage equality, and Liam Hemsworth is speaking out in favor of LGBT rights.

The global fight for LGBT rights didn’t end when marriage equality became the law of the land in the US.

(In fact, it didn’t even end in the US — in plenty of states, you can still be fired for being gay. And then there are trans rights, and LGBT homeless youth, and … there’s a lot, folks. Inequality runs deep)

Australia, Earth’s Florida, still doesn’t have marriage equality in place … even though the US, Canada, and the UK do. That sets them up to be the last major English-speaking nation where same-sex couples can have a legally recognized marriage.

But they’re holding a vote on it. Before their legislature votes, they’re going to hear from Australians themselves, in a move called a plebiscite.

Just over a week ago, voters in Australia received envelopes with which to cast their votes, and they have until the seventh of November to return their ballots.

(Note that all adults in Australia are automatically registered to vote and that, normally, voting in elections is mandatory — while here in the US, as many as half of the country regularly declines to vote for reasons that I honestly cannot fathom)

While the “yes” voters appear to have the majority in polls, there are worries that people who are opposed to marriage equality might simply be shy about their bigotry.

Others fear that those who support marriage equality will assume that it’s a done deal and will decline to actually send in their “yes” votes.

Every celebrity voice, like that of internationally renown actor and Australian native Liam Hemsworth, that speaks up for the “yes” voters can make a difference.

Liam took to Instagram to share his support for the “yes” vote and his support for marriage equality in Australia.

The way that he starts his letter may surprise you, however.

“I personally do not believe that same sex marriage should come down to a vote.”

That almost sounds like he’s unhappy that this is on the table — but we’ll get to that in a moment.

“I believe it’s a HUMAN RIGHT to be able to marry the person you love regardless of gender.”

Yes, good.

“To all the Australians that care about equality and human rights please say YES to same sex marriage.”

Good to implore people to vote. And, when the vote is “yes” or “no,” you want to repeat the right answer as much as possible. Which he does.

“Let’s not be silly about this. Vote YES for same sex marriage in Australia.”

The reason that Liam Hemsworth is among those who doesn’t believe that marriage equality should be up for a vote is because it’s a human right.

When human rights are put up for a vote, it gives the majority an opportunity to deny basic rights to the minority.

(That is one of the reasons that the US Constitution has a Bill of Rights)

He doesn’t spell that out, but it’s a commonly held belief that’s been repeated in various countries whenever this has come up — that putting human rights up for a vote is in and of itself a human rights violation, even people vote justly.

We should remember that this vote is in some ways personal for Liam.

His finacee, Miley Cyrus, is pansexual. That makes her part of the LGBT community.

Same-sex marriage might be moot for her if the two of them ever decide to finally, finally get married.

But her human rights being recognized just like everyone else’s by his home country’s government … that has to be a priority.

Hopefully, Australia won’t be the site of another Brexit — or another Trump.

Perhaps both of those incidents will show the Australian people the dangers of apathy and not voting.

Marriage equality is inevitable, sure, but if the Australian government takes years or decades longer to officially recognize same-sex marriages, millions and millions of Australians will be negatively impacted during that time.

Australians have more than a month remaining to vote “yes,” so we hope that they listen to voices like Liam’s.
