Rosie O"Donnell Slams Pregnant Daughter, Accuses Her of Exploiting Ex-Wife’s Death

Rosie O’Donnell is officially engaged in the ugliest family feud of the summer.

And maybe the ugliest family feud of all-time.

On Tuesday, O’Donnell’s daughter, Chelsea, announced that she was pregnant with her first child.

This was a cause for celebration, but also a cause for a warning, as Chelsea made it clear that her mother won’t play any role in the pending baby’s universe.

“Rosie will not be in my child’s life,” Chelsea told The Daily Mail, emphasizing for good measure: “No, I do not feel sad about that to be honest.”

Chelsea was adopted by O’Donnell (and her first wife, Kelli Carpenter, with whom Chelsea remains close) when she was a baby and added that she’s nine weeks pregnant.

Back in the summer of 2015, O’Donnell Tweeted that her then-17-year old daughter had run away from home.

Chelsea was tracked down two weeks later with a man she reportedly met via Tinder.

Shortly after turning 18, Chelsea moved in with her birth mother and has wanted very little to do with Rosie.

Now, following the confirmation of her child’s pregnancy and the scathing words aimed in her direction, the former talk show host has fired back. HARD.

In a series of late-night Tweets, Rosie SLAMMED Chelsea, claiming she’s exploiting the recent suicide of O’Donnell’s ex-wife, Michelle Rounds, for money.

“we have been here before Chelsea u wanna go a few rounds in public seems so,” O’Donnell Tweeted, adding:

“Michelle’s death = money 4 Chelsea.”

It’s unclear just what O’Donnell means by this. It’s unclear how she thinks her adopted daughter is exploiting the memory of her late wife.

But Rosie laid into Chelsea via other mean-spirited Tweets as well.

In a collage of image, the mother of five Tweeted:

“loving people doesn’t save them- sometimes love has no say.”

She also shared a photo of Chelsea in front of a computer, bringing up an ugly allegation from the past and writing:

“did u hate me this day? last year – at the apple store – was this b4 nick was arrested for beating u up? same same.”

We don’t know much about Chelsea’s relationship with her husband, that’s for sure.

In 2016, though, she met Nick at a Dunkin Donuts and they got married three months later.

“I don’t have her # – no contact since … jan …” Rosie also Tweeted of her daughter last night, adding: “

“a reporter called her – and then paid her – AGAIN.”

For her part, Chelsea says she is excited to become a first-time mother.

“I’m looking forward to it,” she told the Daily Mail. “I really don’t care if I have a boy or a girl. I’m just hoping for a healthy baby.”

Chelsea Alliegro, Rosie O"Donnell Daughter, Expecting First Child

Rosie O’Donnell’s 20-year-old estranged daughter, Chelsea Alliegro, is expecting her first child with her husband, Nick Alliegro.

When we say estranged, we mean really estranged: Chelsea has already come out and said that Rosie will not be involved.

“It’s very exciting and I’m looking forward to it,” Chelsea confirmed in an interview with the Daily Mail (UK) published on Tuesday.

“But Rosie will not be in my child’s life,” she added.

“And no, I do not feel sad about that to be honest.”

Not mincing words about the issue as you can see.

Chelsea, who was adopted by O’Donnell when she a baby, says she is nine weeks pregnant and thus, is due in early May 2018.

“I really don’t care if I have a boy or a girl, I’m just hoping for a healthy baby,” she told the paper, echoing a familiar sentiment.

Her husband, though? “Nick would really like a boy. But as far as I am concerned, so long as it’s healthy, that’s what matters.”

The Texas resident says that she will consider her estranged mother’s first wife, Kelli Carpenter, and Nick’s mom as the child’s grandmothers.

Chelsea also opened up about the loss of Rosie O’Donnell’s second wife, Michelle Rounds, who died tragically late last week.

Michelle was found dead of an apparent suicide at the age of 46 last week; Rounds’ cause of death has not been confirmed.

“I heard about it from my mother Kelli, she texted me,” Chelsea told the UK publication. “She told me that Michelle had committed suicide.”

“She wanted me to know before I found out any other way. I was shocked,” Alliegro said, and she certainly wasn’t alone in that respect.

“It was very sad to hear about her death.”

To put it mildly, Chelsea and the former View host have had a strained relationship going back years and for a variety of reasons.

In August 2015, a concerned O’Donnell tweeted that Chelsea, then just 17 years of age, had run away from their home in Nyack, N.Y.

She was located, safe, nearly two weeks later in New Jersey with a man she had reportedly met through the dating app Tinder.

Soon after turning 18, Chelsea moved in with her birth mother in Wisconsin, and has little interest in a relationship with Rosie.

O’Donnell and Carpenter, 50, are also the parents of three other children together: Parker, 22, Blake, 17, and Vivienne, 14.

Michelle Rounds Dead of Apparent Suicide; Ex Wife of Rosie O"Donnell Was 46

Michelle Rounds, the ex-wife of media personality Rosie O’Donnell, has passed away at the age of 46.

Though no official cause of death has been announced, TMZ is reporting that Rounds appears to have taken her own life.

Rounds had been open about her struggles with mental illness over the years, and tragically, it seems the battle proved fatal.

After meeting at an industry event in 2011, Rounds and O’Donnell got married the following year.

Their time together was turbulent, marred by frequent fighting and Rounds’ persistent health issues.

But there were bright spots, as well.

O’Donnell and Rounds welcomed a daughter together in 2013, and Michelle described the months that followed as the happiest in her life.

Sadly, it was a period that wouldn’t last.

Rounds and O’Donnell separated in 2015 after months of intense fighting.

Just months later Rounds attempted suicide by overdosing on prescription painkillers.

She was rushed to a hospital, where doctors were able to save her life.

Though Rounds moved on to a new and reportedly far less tumultuous relationship, it seems she was never able to escape her demons.

After was said to be a period of emotional stability, Rounds reportedly experienced a recurrence of symptoms in recent weeks.

O’Donnell issued a statement on her former wife’s death just moments ago:

“I am saddened to hear about this terrible tragedy,” O’Donnell wrote.

“Mental illness is a very serious issue affecting many families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle’s family, her wife and their child.”

They though often fought bitterly during their marriage, O’Donnell and Rounds reportedly worked out an amicable co-parenting relationship after their divorce.

Michelle’s mother also released a statement and seems to have implicitly verified that Rounds had taken her own life:

“If anyone would like to give to the National Suicide Prevention it would also be greatly appreciated,” wrote Michelle’s mother.

“There are so many out there in this world that have demons that they think suicide is the only way out.”

Though O’Donnell and Rounds’ marriage was short, the couples’ dramatic fights and outspoken stances on topical issues briefly made Rounds a staple in the tabloid media.

As a result, many celebrities and media figures have taken to social media to mourn Michelle’s passing.

“Such a devastating loss. Sending so much strength and peace to her loved ones,” Perez Hilton tweeted, along with a link to an article about Rounds’ death.

Though she worked as a consultant for most of her adult life, Rounds easy charm and quick wit made her a popular figure in Rosie’s circle of celebrity friends.

In a bit of tragic irony, her death comes during Suicide Prevention Month.

Rounds is now the latest in a disturbingly long line of celebrity suicides.

The steadily-worsening epidemic dates back to Robin Williams’ unexpected passing in 2014.

Recent victims such as rock stars Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington have brought new attention to the issue.

If you or anyone you know is suffering from thoughts of self-harm, we urge you to call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.

Please don’t delay.

Our thoughts go out to Rounds’ family during this tremendously difficult time.
