Sarah Drew Had a Problem with Her Grey"s Anatomy Exit

Can Sarah Drew be honest for a few minutes?

Can she just go ahead and keep it real for a moment?

Okay, great. The actress really appreciates it.

As you very likely know by now, Drew was let go from Grey’s Anatomy in March, about two months before the end of Season 14.

She had starred as Dr. April Kepner for years and was considered a fan favorite, which is why both Drew and millions of viewers out there felt blindsided by ABC’s decision.

While producers have not come out and said it, both Drew and Jessica Capshaw were not brought back to the series for budgetary reasons.

This is the assumption most fans have been making at least.

As for how April was written off the drama?

Her storyline wrapped up for good up when she got married to former fiance Matthew Taylor and left Seattle.

And now Drew has spoken out for the first time about whether she thinks April received a proper send-off.

“In the moment it felt rushed, to be perfectly honest,” the actress told Entertainment Tonight about her depature, adding:

“I felt like it wasn’t really earned because we just didn’t get enough time. We [had] like a scene together that whole season and hadn’t seen each other for four years before that.

“I would’ve liked to have actually grown their relationship to a point where it felt earned for them to get married.”

That’s a very fair point.

It’s reasonable to wonder how far in advance ABC made the choice not to bring Drew back for Season 15.

Still, Drew wants to make it clear:

She isn’t really complaining.

She’s grateful for her time on the show and she can even see how her character’s closing arc made a special kind of sense.

“In hindsight, I think there is something beautifully redemptive that goes along with April’s return to faith and rebirth,” she told ET, continuing as follows:

“The person that she hurt the most in her life was the man she left at the altar, and the redemption story comes full circle in the reconciliation between the two of them.

Even in the darkest and the most painful of relationship experiences, there can still be healing and hope and love and joy, so there was something about that that I could totally get behind.

“I just wish we’d had a little more time to play it out.

Finally, while Drew has moved on (she’s currently starring in a movie called Indivisble), she isn’t bitter toward producers or anything.

Heck, she’d likely make a return to Grey’s Anatomy if the opportunity ever presented itself.

“I’ll never say never because they are my family. I still love everyone over there,” she said when ths topic was broached, concluding:

“I love that community and I still have such an incredible space in my heart for everyone over there, but I really do feel like, because of how it went down, I really had to part ways with April.

“I just had to.

“There was no way for me to live in a space of possibility of her returning and also be healthy in my letting go of all of it, so I really have said goodbye to her.”

The Walking Dead Recap: Another Power Struggle Sets Up Lauren Cohan"s Exit

Building a better community is no easy task, and Rick learned the hard way on Sunday’s episode that he was not going to be able to blend these communities in the way he hoped.

The episode was all about the revival of the bridge which was obliterated thanks to a storm. Without access, it was difficult to make supply runs, so it had to be fixed.

While Aaron and Daryl were chatting as the communities rallied to fix the bridge, a fight broke out between Henry and a Savior named Justin.

Henry was tasked with giving water in exchange for hard labor, and Justin did not want to play by the rules. But Henry proved that there would always be a punishment, so he knocked the man off his feet with a stick.

As expected, it resulted in a full-on battle between everyone on the bridge. Rick arrived and was unimpressed that these people could not work together to secure the future of the blended community.

Daryl continued to have doubts and told Rick that the Saviors would actually be an asset to them down the line if they’re already causing trouble.

Daryl left the scene immediately when Rick defended why they were doing it, and it was down to Carol to let Rick know that he might be dreaming if he thinks any of this is going to work.

Tensions were still high at the Hilltop following Gregory’s well-deserved execution. Tami Rose was not allowed to see her husband Earl for his involvement in the plot to kill Maggie.

It didn’t stop Tami from trying to get more people on her side to turn against Maggie. The true shocker was that Jesus was not fully on board with Maggie.

“I don’t know if she hanged Gregory for everyone, for herself or both,” he shared, “but I’m not against a grieving mother seeing her husband.”

Instead of fully turning against his friend, Jesus went to Maggie to find out where her head was truly at. He admitted that she was going way too far by ostracizing Earl and that there would be some pushback. These decisions were ballsy, according to him.

This gave Maggie some food for thought, and she agreed to let Tami Rose visit her husband. Once his wife was gone, Earl got a visit from Maggie who wanted to know more about him.

Earl was desperate to know why Gregory was the one who was killed, but Maggie skirted around giving an answer. It turns out; she wants to hold her cards close to her chest.

“What I did to you was in me,” Earl confessed. “Gregory didn’t make me do anything.”

Okay then.

Things took a wild turn when thanks to a siren not being sounded, the walkers showed up at the bridge, and the unarmed Saviors were sitting ducks.

Jed was scared to death, and let go of the rope he was holding … allowing all of the lumber to crash down and trap Aaron’s arm. Rick managed to dispatch of most of the walkers, but there was no saving Aaron’s arm.

Daryl tried to make sense of what went down and opted to blame Justin. He was supposed to sound a siren to send the walkers away, but he didn’t.

His defense?

The walkie-talkie was dead, and Daryl was not buying it. He went all in kept hitting the kid before Carol showed up to tell him to quit the BS.

Back at the Hilltop, Maggie and Michonne got into it over the recent decisions.

“We can talk about common laws, but I’m not giving up the right to do what I think is s best for my people,” Maggie said to her friend.

They continued to bicker, and Maggie relented that she did not regret wiping Gregory out because he was a danger to everyone.

Meanwhile, Justin continued to prove he was a loser when he lashed out at Rick, trying to throw all the blame on him for what went down.

“Stitches won’t fix what I do to you,” Rick yelled after telling him to get the eff out of the Sanctuary.

As for Aaron? He did not blame Rick for losing an arm. Instead, he said that his friend was a beacon of hope.

“You changed all that, Rick. It’s not the end of the world anymore; it’s the start a whole new one,” he said.

Rick closed off the hour by visiting his nemesis, Negan.

“It was a hard day,” Rick said. “People were at each other’s throats… [But] when the day was done, they came together. Not all of ’em. But enough.”

“That’s a real pretty picture you paint there,” Negan responded. “When do I get to see it?”

“You’re gonna die behind these bars,” Rick snapped.

In all honesty, if the likes of Jesus is worried about Maggie, then there’s a good chance she’s going to be relieved of her duties before long.

That could lead to her running off with her child or worse; she could be killed off. This is The Walking Dead!

Pauley Perrette Confirms NCIS Exit, Makes Fans Sad

NCIS is losing a key cast member.

But not any time in the very near future at least.

In a surprising turn of events, Pauley Perrette announced on Tuesday morning that she’s leaving the highest-rated show on network television.

Perrette, who has portrayed forensic specialist Abby Sciuto on the popular drama since its very first episode, confirmed this unexpected piece of news on Twitter.

She says she’ll at least be around through the end of NCIS Season 15, which we assume will wrap up in May.

“So, it is true that I am leaving NCIS after this season,” Perrette wrote, quickly shooting down any rumors as to why she made this choice:

“There has been all kinds of false stories as to why (NO I DON’T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!).

“It was a decision made last year. I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years.

“All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration…I love her as much as you do.”

Pauley Perrette note

NCIS airs Tuesday nights at 8/7 on CBS.

It is anchored by Mark Harmon as Special Agent Gibbs, while Sean Murray, Emily Wickersham, Wilmer Valderrama, Maria Bello, Brian Dietzen, Duane Henry, Rocky Carroll and David McCallum all co-star.

The series has lost a pair of big-time cast members in the past and managed to continue thriving in their absence.

For example, Michael Weatherly left after Season 13 and currently stars on Bull.

Cote de Pablo also memorably said goodbye to the beloved character of Ziva in 2013.

Jennifer Esposito also didn’t return this year after appearing on the series often throughout Season 14.

Once Perrette leaves, the only remaining original NCIS cast members will be Harmon and David McCallum (because Murray only recurred on Season 1).

But there’s simply no slowing down the NCIS train.

It continues to dominate in the ratings and will likely remain on the air for as long as Harmon wants to remain the star.

Will you keep watching after Perrette says goodbye, however?

Or can you not imagine an NCIS world in which she isn’t a significant player?

Raven-Symone to Exit The View, Star on That"s So Raven Sequel Series

The View will soon be on the lookout for another co-host.

Following chatter in May that Raven-Symone would be the next panelist to depart from this morning program, The Disney Channel has come out and turned this rumor into a reality.

Yes, The Disney Channel. Allow us to explain why…

The network surprised television fans on Thursday when it confirmed that it has commissioned a sequel series to That’s So Raven, the 2003-2007 sitcom starred the aforementioned Raven-Symone.

The actress, who joined The View in 2014 and who has been a mostly welcome presence on the series, will therefore exit the show at some point in the near future.

Why can’t she simply do both?

Because The View films in New York and That’s So Raven will shoot in Los Angeles.

According to Deadline, the revived series will find Raven Baxter as divorced mother of two pre-teen chilcren (a son and daughter), one of whom has inherited her psychic abilities.

Oh, right: we forgot to mention that the main character is psychic.

The pilot will be penned by Scott Thomas and Jed Eilnoff, who currently serve as Executive Producers on Disney Channel’s Best Friends Whenever.

Casting for all non-Raven roles is underway.

“Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in That’s So Raven is timeless,” said Adam Bonnett, Disney Channel’s EVP Original Programming, said in a statement.

“We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family.”

The Disney Channel, of course, garnered a lot of attention for recently creating Girl Meets World, which was a spinoff of Boy Meets World.

There’s also Fuller House over on Netflix, which is a spinoff of Full House.

Bringing back old TV shows in updates formats is sort of all the rage these days.

We’ll miss Raven-Symone on The View.

She was never afraid to speak her mind and she owned the best facial expressions in the history of this long-running program.

Just check out the above clip to see what we mean.

The actress, meanwhile, gushed over the untitled sequel series this morning on The View.

She announced her farewell by saying she was “super excited” to take on the role of Raven Baxter again, explaining the concept of the series to an enthusiastic studio audience.

Will you be tuning in for the That’s So Raven sequel?

JoJo Fletcher on Chad"s Exit from The Bachelorette: Violence Is Not the Answer!

For anyone who watched the special two-night extravaganza of The Bachelorette this week, you know it could’ve simply been billed as The Chad Show.

You know Chad – the good-looking, veiny-muscled meathead villain who threatened all the guys in the house and is likely now being scoped out as a possible hit man for Donald Trump.

Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher shares her thoughts on Chad and the rest of the suitors in a blog full of exclamation points for People, and makes her feelings clear.

“Wow, that was intense. Just watching it was intense. And I was there when it all went down! Just … Chad,” she starts.

However, even though she was there, JoJo is still confused about what transpired between Evan and Chad.

“Did Evan really try to push Chad and that’s what provoked Chad to rip his shirt?” she asked.

“Would Evan actually do something like that? Someone needs to slow down that footage and figure out what really went down!”

Nevertheless, she kept the Chadster around and gave him a rose, almost certainly at the behest of ABC who was like, girl, just keep him for one more rose ceremony, just one – he’s a ratings darling!

Also likely the product of producer prodding, JoJo chose Chad and his mortal enemy, muscle-bound Alex with the hero complex, for a two-on-one date.

“NO ONE, could have prepared me for the challenge of a two-on-one date,” JoJo admits.

“And not just any two-on-one date, but one with Chad and Alex – two guys who I knew who weren’t BFFs, but two guys I definitely needed more time with.”

As you know, the date was awkward AF and the entire thing basically entailed Alex telling JoJo that Chad is an utter psycho who threatened to find Jordan after the show ended and beat his ass.

And that was all JoJo needed to hear. She gave the rose to Alex almost by default because she didn’t want to marry Chad and wake up one night with a noose around her neck or something.

While she tries to be nice and suggest that Chad’s really a “decent person” underneath it all and feels bad because he lost his mom this year, she ultimately knew she had to ditch the douchebag.

“But it still doesn’t excuse his behavior,” she shared. “You can’t threaten people, no matter what you’ve been through. I don’t want that in a friend, and I definitely don’t want that in a husband.”

Look out for a reality show starring Chad sometime in the next year. He’s already calling himself “The Chadelor.”

And check out The Bachelorette spoilers to skip to the end and find out who makes JoJo’s final cut.

Tamar Braxton: The Truth About Her Abrupt Exit From The Real

Oooof, this is getting out of hand.

On May 22nd, The Real issued a statement confirming that it had parted ways with one of its co-hosts, Tamar Braxton.

“The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season” it read.

“She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”

It was decided behind closed doors that Braxton had to go based on her frequent outbursts, and “unbearable” behavior, according to the Daily Mail.

Braxton’s co-hosts – Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Jeannie Mai – had no idea.

‘Everyone was caught off guard. None of them saw it coming and everyone was completely blindsided by the decision,” a source told the Mail, adding that the women were scheduled to film at the Essence festival in New Orleans over July 4th; the segments would air in September when the show returned from its summer hiatus.

It turns out that producers were fed up with Braxton while the show tape its final episodes earlier this month.

Braxton had reportedly went nuts during a Pinterest-sponsored game because she was losing.

“It was an ugly scene. Pinterest was sponsoring the segment and Tamar was genuinely upset she was losing the game,” the source said.

“She really acted out during the taping in front of the studio audience and then exploded behind the scenes once the show was done.”

What’s worse is that the sponsor was on set, and saw the whole thing.

In post-production, the segment had to be heavily edited so that Braxton’s antics weren’t obvious.

Producers had to heavily edit the segment to make it presentable to air on TV, but the sponsor was on set for the segment and witnessed it all,’ the source explains.

When Braxton signed on for Dancing With The Stars last September, she could have cared less that the competition look place right in the middle of filming.

After she was rushed to the hospital with blood clots in her lungs, Braxton took an extended leave of absence from The Real.

It was then that producers realized that working without Braxton was a breeze.

‘While she was on Dancing with the Stars producers realized the show could survive without her. It was peaceful on set, as the other four ladies are quite easy to work with, and the ratings maintained and at times, went up depending on whom was guest co-hosting the show” the source said.

Braxton posted a cryptic message on her Instagram once the announcement was made, indicating that the decision to move forward without her was not “mutual.”

“I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted ( not my man or my sisters),” she wrote.

“I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own.

“But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light.”

Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Will Exit Stage Left?

Dancing with the Stars returned for its sixth week of Season 20 on Monday, and the stakes were higher than ever for the remaining celebrities.

We know, we know. We use the term “celebrities” loosely, people.

But seriously folks. After a week of switched-up pro partners and no one sent home a week ago, it was officially crunch time on October 19.

Who stood out, and who’s heading out after all is said and done?

We will miss all the Paula Deen butt smacking on Dancing with the Stars, but alas, she was the one told to bag her bags and shuffle off on this night.

She seemed all but relieved that this experiment is finally over.

“I get to see my grandbabies!” Deen, the celebrity chef, said.

“I’ve been like a fish outta water for six weeks. It took them a long time to convince me to come do this. It was wonderful. It was worth it.”

All you can ask for, right? Right. Say hi to the grandbabies.

Check out the full list of Dancing with the Stars scores, on an installment when the contestants all chose “Famous Dances,” below …

  • Andy Grammer and Allison Holker: 40/40 (Singing in the Rain, “Good Morning”)

  • Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough: 40/40 (Dirty Dancing, “Time of My Life”)

  • Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess: 39/40 (Saturday Night Fever)

  • Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson: 38/40 (Magic Mike, “Pony”)

  • Hayes Grier and Emma Slater: 32/40 (Grease, “You’re the One That I Want”)

  • Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold: 30/40 (Elvis, “Jailhouse Rock”)

  • Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas: 30/40 (Britney Spears, “Slave 4 U”)

  • Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy: 27/40 (Janet Jackson, “Rhythm Nation”)

  • Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel: 24/40 (Madonna, “Vogue”)

The cream of the crop will begin to rise to the top, as happens every year, but it’s still anyone’s game for the most part as we near the halfway point.

Who do you think will be ousted next? Who will win it all?
