Tamar Braxton: The Truth About Her Abrupt Exit From The Real

Oooof, this is getting out of hand.

On May 22nd, The Real issued a statement confirming that it had parted ways with one of its co-hosts, Tamar Braxton.

“The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season” it read.

“She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career. Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.”

It was decided behind closed doors that Braxton had to go based on her frequent outbursts, and “unbearable” behavior, according to the Daily Mail.

Braxton’s co-hosts – Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Jeannie Mai – had no idea.

‘Everyone was caught off guard. None of them saw it coming and everyone was completely blindsided by the decision,” a source told the Mail, adding that the women were scheduled to film at the Essence festival in New Orleans over July 4th; the segments would air in September when the show returned from its summer hiatus.

It turns out that producers were fed up with Braxton while the show tape its final episodes earlier this month.

Braxton had reportedly went nuts during a Pinterest-sponsored game because she was losing.

“It was an ugly scene. Pinterest was sponsoring the segment and Tamar was genuinely upset she was losing the game,” the source said.

“She really acted out during the taping in front of the studio audience and then exploded behind the scenes once the show was done.”

What’s worse is that the sponsor was on set, and saw the whole thing.

In post-production, the segment had to be heavily edited so that Braxton’s antics weren’t obvious.

Producers had to heavily edit the segment to make it presentable to air on TV, but the sponsor was on set for the segment and witnessed it all,’ the source explains.

When Braxton signed on for Dancing With The Stars last September, she could have cared less that the competition look place right in the middle of filming.

After she was rushed to the hospital with blood clots in her lungs, Braxton took an extended leave of absence from The Real.

It was then that producers realized that working without Braxton was a breeze.

‘While she was on Dancing with the Stars producers realized the show could survive without her. It was peaceful on set, as the other four ladies are quite easy to work with, and the ratings maintained and at times, went up depending on whom was guest co-hosting the show” the source said.

Braxton posted a cryptic message on her Instagram once the announcement was made, indicating that the decision to move forward without her was not “mutual.”

“I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted ( not my man or my sisters),” she wrote.

“I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own.

“But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light.”
