Pauley Perrette (Strongly) Implies She Was Assaulted on NCIS Set

Pauley Perrette has officially left NCIS.

The actress confirmed many months ago that she planned to leave television’s highest-rated drama toward the end of Season 15, saying in October:

“There has been all kinds of false stories as to why (NO I DON’T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!)…

“I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years.

“All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration…I love her as much as you do.”

Perrette’s beloved character was written off last week, on NCIS Season 15 Episode 22, although writers chose to keep Abby alive.

This, in turn, left hope alive that Perrette may return to the series at some point down the line.

But we’re pretty sure Perrette has now shot down any possibility of a character reprisal — and she’s done so in cryptic/disturbing fashion.

On Saturday morning, while interacting with followers on social media, Perrette made it clear that she has been the victim of bullying.

She added that she’s been a victim of bullying at some place she had to be for years, implying strongly that these incidents took place on the set of NCIS.

Here, specifically, is the Tweet that has so many people talking and wondering:

I’ve been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it’s school or work, that you’re required to go to?

It’s horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone.

Pauley Perrette tweet

Yikes, right?

This message came on the heels several other troubling messages posted by Perrette late last week.

For example:

I refused to go low, that’s why I’ve never told publicly what happened.

But there are tabloid articles out there that are telling total lies about me. If you believe them? Please leave me alone. You clearly don’t know me. (Sorry guys, had to be said).

more pp

We cannot say for certain what Perrette is alluding to here.

We follow both the celebrity gossip world and the television world pretty closely and we’ve never heard reports of this sort of behavior behind the scenes of NCIS.

That doesn’t mean it hasn’t been happening, of course.

Added the 49-year old star on Sunday as a follow-up to the previous two messages:

Maybe I’m wrong for not “spilling the beans” Telling the story, THE TRUTH. I feel I have to protect my crew, jobs and so many people. But at what cost? I.don’t know.

Just know, I’m trying to do the right thing, but maybe silence isn’t the right thing about crime. I’m… Just… ?

And then there was this Tweet, implying that forces out there (affiliated with CBS? With the show?) have been trying to keep her quiet for a long time:

There is a “machine’ keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me.  A very rich, very powerful publicity “machine”. No morals, no obligation to truth, and I’m just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew.

Trying to remain calm. He did it.

Back in October, around the time she announced her departure from NCIS, Perrette told USA Today that she had been “bullied by a powerful man for way too long in a work environment until I finally said enough and took no more words from anyone, including myself that being complacent was ‘good behavior.”

So this isn’t a brand new allegation.

But it’s still a very upsetting one.

If it’s valid, let’s hope the truth soon comes out and the perpetrator brought to justice.

Kristin Harmon, Sister of NCIS Star, Dies at 72

Kristin Harmon, the sister of NCIS star Mark Harmon and the former wife of 1950s teen idol Ricky Nelson, passed away from a heart attack on April 27.

The sad news just went viral this week, with Harmon’s daughter, Tracy Nelson, confirming Kristin’s passong on Facebook.

She was 72 years old.

Wrote Nelson as part of her post:

“Thanks Universe, for incarnating me into a group who lives through their art and painting and music and words so that if I ever need to check in with those that have gone I can, if my children ever need to know who they were, they can.

“It lessens the panic of never seeing someone again, face to face. Oh my God, such a Hurricane. Such a life.”

Harmon was the older sister of Mark Harmon, who has anchored NCIS for 15 season; and former model Kelly Harmon.

Her dad was Heisman trophy winner Tom Harmon; and her mother was an actress named Elyse Knox Harmon.

In 1963, at the age if 18, she married Nelson, who was a wildly popular teen idol at the time.

That same year, Harmon also became a series regular on the TV show The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.

This is a photo of her on the series:

Harmon and Nelson had four kids, Tracy, a former actress; twins Gunnar and Matthew, who started the band Nelson; and Sam.

Their divorce was finalized in 1982, three years before Nelson’s tragic death in a plane crash.

“No one could light up a room like she could, or a conversation, or lead an army of friends into joyful noise like she could. If you knew her you knew this,” wrote Tracy Nelson about her mom on Facebook, adding:

“A force. A reckoning. Artist, first, always. Anarchist, bohemian, beauty. Hurricane Kris. No one could blow the house down like she could.

“And no one could make something out of nothing like she could.”

It’s really a beautiful, lengthy tribute.

You can read the entire thing HERE.

During the 1980s, Harmon struggled with alcoholism.

Her younger siblings took care of her children at the time; and then, following Nelson’s death in 1985, Mark Harmon (pictured above) urged his sister to enter rehab.

“Nobody but my brother could have talked me into this because I trusted him,” Harmon said in a 1987 interview with People Magazine. “A voice inside me said, ‘For once in your life, let somebody help you."”

May Kristin Harmon rest in peace.

Pauley Perrette Confirms NCIS Exit, Makes Fans Sad

NCIS is losing a key cast member.

But not any time in the very near future at least.

In a surprising turn of events, Pauley Perrette announced on Tuesday morning that she’s leaving the highest-rated show on network television.

Perrette, who has portrayed forensic specialist Abby Sciuto on the popular drama since its very first episode, confirmed this unexpected piece of news on Twitter.

She says she’ll at least be around through the end of NCIS Season 15, which we assume will wrap up in May.

“So, it is true that I am leaving NCIS after this season,” Perrette wrote, quickly shooting down any rumors as to why she made this choice:

“There has been all kinds of false stories as to why (NO I DON’T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!).

“It was a decision made last year. I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years.

“All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration…I love her as much as you do.”

Pauley Perrette note

NCIS airs Tuesday nights at 8/7 on CBS.

It is anchored by Mark Harmon as Special Agent Gibbs, while Sean Murray, Emily Wickersham, Wilmer Valderrama, Maria Bello, Brian Dietzen, Duane Henry, Rocky Carroll and David McCallum all co-star.

The series has lost a pair of big-time cast members in the past and managed to continue thriving in their absence.

For example, Michael Weatherly left after Season 13 and currently stars on Bull.

Cote de Pablo also memorably said goodbye to the beloved character of Ziva in 2013.

Jennifer Esposito also didn’t return this year after appearing on the series often throughout Season 14.

Once Perrette leaves, the only remaining original NCIS cast members will be Harmon and David McCallum (because Murray only recurred on Season 1).

But there’s simply no slowing down the NCIS train.

It continues to dominate in the ratings and will likely remain on the air for as long as Harmon wants to remain the star.

Will you keep watching after Perrette says goodbye, however?

Or can you not imagine an NCIS world in which she isn’t a significant player?

Miguel Ferrer Dies; NCIS: Los Angeles Star Was 61

You may not recognize the name Miguel Ferrer, but if you’re a fan of film and television, you’re almost certainly familiar with his work.

Ferrer passed away today at the age of 61, but the respected “actor’s actor” and first cousin of George Clooney leaves behind a body of work that will endure for generations.

Ferrer racked up more than 120 credits over the course of his 36 years in the industry.

As a young man, he embarked on a career in music, playing drums for Keith Moon’s debut solo effort.

It wasn’t long, however, before Hollywood came calling and Ferrer quickly found work as a character actor in a number of “tough guy” roles.

Though he starred in films as varied as RoboCop, Traffic, and Iron Man 3, it is for his work in several long-running TV series for which Ferrer will likely be best remembered.

Ferrer stole scenes in recurring roles on Miami Vice, Twin Peaks, Tales From the Crypt, Desperate Housewives, Crossing Jordan, and NCIS: Los Angeles.

His talent for playing gruff cops and crooks made him a go-to favorite for crime dramas – as well as for projects that skewered the genre.

Ferrer’s distinctive voice earned him frequent high-profile animation gigs in features like Mulan and Rio 2, as well as in beloved series such as Adventure Time and Robot Chicken.

NCIS: Los Angeles showrunner R. Scott Gemmill issued a statement to the press just moments after news of Ferrer’s death went public.

“Today, NCIS: Los Angeles lost a beloved family member,” Gemmill wrote.

“Miguel was a man of tremendous talent who had a powerful dramatic presence on screen, a wicked sense of humor, and a huge heart. Our thoughts go out to his wife Lori, his sons, and his entire family.

“He will be greatly missed.”

Sources say Ferrer died peacefully at his California home this afternoon, surrounded by family and friends.

He was active on NCIS and in several other projects up until the time when his illness left him bed-ridden.

Ferrer was scheduled to appear in the Showtime reboot of Twin Peaks debuting in May, but it is not known if he had completed filming.

Ferrer’s expansive body of work and reputation as one of Hollywood’s most genuine nice guys combined to make him a trending topic on Twitter just moments after the world learned of his death.

The actor is survived by wife Lori, and sons Lukas and Rafi.
