Chris Hardwick Strongly Denies Sexual Assault Allegations
Chris Hardwick has broken his silence.
The podcast and television host is at the center of a very serious scandal this week after an ex-girlfriend named Chloe Dystrka wrote a troubling and personal essay about her relationship with Hardwick.
In this esay, Dykstra details how an unnamed former boyfriend (strongly presumed to be Hardwick) forced her to have sex against her will and treated her with absolute disdain.
The 29-year old brings up this ex-boyfriend’s “controlling behavior” and how “rules were quickly established” shortly after the two started dating, including how she could not be friends with men and could not drink alcohol.
“I was not to speak in public places (elevators, cars with drivers, restaurants where tables were too close) as he believed that people recognized him and were listening to our conversations,” she said.
Dykstra added she was “terrified to piss him off, so I did what he said. Including let him sexually assault me. Regularly,” explaining:
“I was expected to be ready for him when he came home from work. Every night, I laid there for him, occasionally in tears. He called it ‘starfishing.’ He thought the whole idea was funny.”
Everyone who has read this account, conversely, finds it horrifying.
In response to the accusations, Nerdist, a content company founded by Hardwick, confirmed on Friday that it had severed ties with Hardwick.
It also made it clear that Hardwick has not been active with the company for years.
Dykstra even emphasized this same point in a Tweet late Friday, writing:
Before I take my break, I do want to address something re: the company he founded. As I understand it, the person has not been associated with that company for several years, and I hope that they will not suffer as a result of my essay.
Be kind to them, they are good people.
Now, at last, Hardwick has spoken out about these disturbing allegations.
“I was heartbroken to read Chloe’s post,” he said to open a statement to Deadline, adding:
“Our three year relationship was not perfect – we were ultimately not a good match and argues – even shouted at each other – but I loved her and did my best to uplift and support her as a partner and companion in any way and at no time did I sexually assault her.”
Dykstra did add the following in her confession:
“To be fair, I did go along with it out of fear of losing him. I’m still recovering from being sexually used (not in a super fun way) for three years.”
So we’re not about to speculate about what actually transpired between these two, except to say that Hardwick could be trying to walk a fine line and deny the specific allegation of assault, considering (in his mind and sort of by her own admission), Dykstra did not fight back.
“These are very serious allegations and not to be taken lightly which is why I’ve taken the day to consider how to respond,” Hardwick continued, expounding as follows:
“When we were living together, I found out that Chloe had cheated on me, and I ended the relationship.
“For several weeks after we broke up, she asked to get back together with me and even told me she wanted to have kids with me, ‘build a life’ with me and told me that I was ‘the one,’ but I did not want to be with someone who was unfaithful.
“I’m devastated to read that she is now accusing me of conduct that did not occur. l was blindsided by her post and always wanted the best for her.
“As a husband, a son, and future father, I do not condone any kind of mistreatment of women.”

Dykstra also claims that Hardwick trash talked her following their split, effectively ending her career in Hollywood.
Following the release of Hardwick’s statement, actor Robert Kazinsky took to Twitter to defend Dykstra.
“As @hardwick has chosen to deny Chloe’s account, I’ll take the opportunity to say I have seen the proof myself, I have seen the evidence first hand, I’ve seen the people who have come forward to tell @skydart how Chris ordered her blacklisted, there isn’t just one, there are many.
“For years the pain @skydart carried around was overwhelming, and even now @hardwick doesn’t have the decency to offer first an apology to the woman he destroyed intentionally.
“That’s all that mattered.”
Dykstra also said in her extended message that she contemplated suicide “many times,” but is now a much healthier and happier place.
She concluded:
“To the man who tried to ruin my future: A sincere and heartfelt apology could have made my last four years a hell of a lot easier.”

Khloe Kardashian Hints Strongly at Tristan Thomspon Break-Up
That’s it! We can finally call it!
The relationship between Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson is finally, mercifully over.
At least we think this is something that could happen in the near future.
The reality star kind of spoken out on her turbulent and controversial romance with the basketball player, leaving a quote on her Instagram account that appears to address their future.
And if you interpret this quote as we do, then it’s a bleaker future than the one Thompson’s Cavs face in the NBA Playoffs, as they try to rally from a three games to two deficit.
“Something you’ve been praying for is about to happen for you,” Khloe says in this message, adding:
“You’ve had enough lessons. You’ve been patient long enough.
“You’ve remained strong though many trials and challenges. Nothing broke you. You’re still here standing strong.
“Now is the time for you to start receiving.”
Let’s break these lines down one-by-one, shall we?
Something Khloe has been praying for is about to happen.
Such as… the break-up from the man who was caught cheating on her in April with multiple women?
You’ve had enough lessons. You’ve been patient long enough.
Such as… Khloe was cheated on by ex-husband Lamar Odom and now by Thompson and the time for learning from these hardships is over and having the patience to see if these men will change is a useless exercise?
You’ve remained strong though many trials and challenges. Nothing broke you. You’re still here standing strong.
Such as… Khloe has kept her head up and kept a positive attitude, despite this infidelity taking place while she was pregnant, and she’s still here. Stronger than ever before.
Now is the time for you to start receiving.
Such as… screw giving second and third and fourth chances. It’s time to put myself first for a change!
Over the past few weeks, contrasting reports have filled the Internet when it comes to Tristan and Khloe.
There’s an insider who alleges Kardashian wants to marry Thompson still, along with sources telling Us Weekly that the stars are “fully back together.”
(And it’s true that Khloe and Thompson were spotted at lunch a few weeks ago, and also that she attended one of his basketball games shortly afterward.)
But then there are claims that Khloe is preparing to leave Cleveland in the near future and settle in back in Los Angeles with her daughter, presumably without Thompson.
It’s hard to know where things stand at the moment.
Tristan will have a lot more time to spend with his baby mama and his second child if/when the Cavs get eliminated from the playoffs.
Will this be a good thing for the relationship because he and Khloe will have a chance to sit and actually has things out?
Or a terrible thing because seeing Thompson’s cheating face will just make Kardashian angrier and angrier on a daily basis?
We really have no idea.
But if you analyze Kardashian’s Instagram Story message above like we did, this romance has about as much of a chance of working out in the long run as LeBron James has us being on the Cavs next season.
Perhaps it’s time for Khloe and LeBron to both move on.

Pauley Perrette (Strongly) Implies She Was Assaulted on NCIS Set
Pauley Perrette has officially left NCIS.
The actress confirmed many months ago that she planned to leave television’s highest-rated drama toward the end of Season 15, saying in October:
“There has been all kinds of false stories as to why (NO I DON’T HAVE A SKIN CARE LINE AND NO MY NETWORK AND SHOW ARE NOT MAD AT ME!)…
“I hope everyone will love and enjoy EVERYTHING ABBY not only for the rest of this season but for everything she has given all of us for 16 years.
“All the love, all the laughter, all the inspiration…I love her as much as you do.”
Perrette’s beloved character was written off last week, on NCIS Season 15 Episode 22, although writers chose to keep Abby alive.
This, in turn, left hope alive that Perrette may return to the series at some point down the line.
But we’re pretty sure Perrette has now shot down any possibility of a character reprisal — and she’s done so in cryptic/disturbing fashion.
On Saturday morning, while interacting with followers on social media, Perrette made it clear that she has been the victim of bullying.
She added that she’s been a victim of bullying at some place she had to be for years, implying strongly that these incidents took place on the set of NCIS.
Here, specifically, is the Tweet that has so many people talking and wondering:
I’ve been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it’s school or work, that you’re required to go to?
It’s horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone.
Yikes, right?
This message came on the heels several other troubling messages posted by Perrette late last week.
For example:
I refused to go low, that’s why I’ve never told publicly what happened.
But there are tabloid articles out there that are telling total lies about me. If you believe them? Please leave me alone. You clearly don’t know me. (Sorry guys, had to be said).
We cannot say for certain what Perrette is alluding to here.
We follow both the celebrity gossip world and the television world pretty closely and we’ve never heard reports of this sort of behavior behind the scenes of NCIS.
That doesn’t mean it hasn’t been happening, of course.
Added the 49-year old star on Sunday as a follow-up to the previous two messages:
Maybe I’m wrong for not “spilling the beans” Telling the story, THE TRUTH. I feel I have to protect my crew, jobs and so many people. But at what cost? I.don’t know.
Just know, I’m trying to do the right thing, but maybe silence isn’t the right thing about crime. I’m… Just… ?
And then there was this Tweet, implying that forces out there (affiliated with CBS? With the show?) have been trying to keep her quiet for a long time:
There is a “machine’ keeping me silent, and feeding FALSE stories about me. A very rich, very powerful publicity “machine”. No morals, no obligation to truth, and I’m just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew.
Trying to remain calm. He did it.
Back in October, around the time she announced her departure from NCIS, Perrette told USA Today that she had been “bullied by a powerful man for way too long in a work environment until I finally said enough and took no more words from anyone, including myself that being complacent was ‘good behavior.”
So this isn’t a brand new allegation.
But it’s still a very upsetting one.
If it’s valid, let’s hope the truth soon comes out and the perpetrator brought to justice.
