Wendy Williams: Kanye West Is Nuts and Kim Is Pathetic for Defending Him!

Kanye West is praising Trump on social media and claiming that they both have "dragon energy," leaving fans feeling betrayed and wondering if Kanye is losing his mind … or if he"s just not the man they thought he was.

But Kim Kardashian has been pulling out all of the stops to defend her husband, even as his outlandish statements elicit more and more scorn.

As you"ll see in the video below, Wendy Williams is referring to Kanye as a "cuckoo." As for Kim? Wendy thinks that she"s just pathetic.

On her show on Wednesday, Wendy Williams, who has built her brand by delighting in the misery of others, laid into Kanye for his recent behavior.

"I believe that Kanye is helping ruin the [Kardashian] brand and his own, as well."

Kanye"s bizarre tweets and other statements reflect poorly upon himself, but many fear that he is tainting Kim"s brand.

"It’s just another loose nut in the tree, in the empire."

The Empire that Kris Jenner has worked so hard to build for herself, her children, her grandchildren, and future generations.

(For what it"s worth, Kris has denied that she and Kanye have been fighting)

Wendy continues:

"And then here goes Kim."

"I don’t know whether this is just a boring day in her life or whether she’s purposely doing this to draw attention from the Kanye debacle, which has exploded."

We actually suspect that Kim may have planned these photos some time ago, to promote her new fragrance line.

"But yesterday she posts this picture — nude."

Kim has posted a lot of hilariously naked photos recently, including her entire naked figure.

The specific photo to which Wendy is referring is this one.

Wendy then goes on to sing Kim"s praises.

"Totally nude. Totally done, no razor bumps, no ingrown hairs, no nothing."

Well … surely Kim"s had laser hair removal, right? She"s rich. Why would anyone ever want to shave again when they can just have doctors laser off those unwanted body hairs?

"You know what, even if there is a little bit of airbrushing, you gotta admit..it’s still good."

After that compliment, however, Wendy quickly changes her tune.

"But how pathetic is she? How pathetic!"

It seems that Wendy really doesn"t think much of Kim pulling out all of the stops to distract the world from Kanye"s bad behavior.

Interestingly, Wendy seems to think that Kanye"s fall from grace is Kim"s fault.

"He hasn’t been the same since he married Kim. What ever happened to the thought-provoking Kanye?"

Honestly … a lot of people feel that Kanye was always like this on some level.

"We knew he was slightly nutty, but we’re all a little nutty. When he got with that family, number one, he should’ve stayed… in the back."

By which she means that he should have kept doing his own thing — and doing Kim — without blending his brand with the Kardashians.

"He should not have participated in that reality show."

Wendy seems less focused on Kanye"s outlandish Trump support, which is causing him to hemorrhage followers whose concern has turned to disgust, and more focused on his business decisions.

She says that he reportedly parted ways with so many people because he issued a demand to each of them that they fire all of their other clients and only work with him.

This is absurd, and that"s clearly what Scooter Braun and the others thought. Wendy agrees.

"If I were Scooter, I wouldn’t fire Grande and all those other girls for a cuckoo."

She apologizes. Sort of.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry — he’s going through things."

"So…for him. I think this demand is unreasonable, but so is he under present conditions, this Kanye."

She lays into Kanye.

"When you hired Scooter, you knew he had other clients, and now that you want him to split with them, you (Kanye) are being very, very unreasonable."

Watch the clip below and decide if Wendy"s being fair — or close enough — to Kanye.

Ariana Madix Criticized By Fans For Defending "Predatory" Brother

If you watched last night’s episode of Vanderpump Rules, you may have been surprised and disappointed as several cast members engaged in the egregious practice of victim-shaming in an attempt bury some unsettling allegations.

What could have served as an edifying reminder that the lessons of the #MeToo era often force both men and women to confront uncomfortable truths was instead a painful lesson in how not to handle an accusation by a woman who has been mistreated.

The situation began innocently enough when Ariana Madix’s brother, Jeremy, asked castmate Billie Lee out on a date.

When Billie shared the news with friends Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute, she was shocked to learn that Jeremy’s been the subject of some unsettling accusations.

While Stassi encouraged Billie to make sure she sticks to public places during her date, Kristen derided the SUR busboy as “creepy.”

A flashback clip from Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz’s wedding the previous summer supports Stassi’s claim that Jeremy behaved inappropriately.

The footage shows Jeremy wrapping Stassi up in an unwelcome hug while chastising her for giving him dirty looks and jokingly promising that he’ll stop hitting on her.

When Ariana learned of the allegations, she exacerbated the situation by behaving in an extremely hostile fashion toward Stassi and Kristen, and threatening them that they’re “going to a place that they will never f–king come back from.”

She then informed her boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, of the situation, and he proceeded to track the women down and scream at them, at one point threatening that they had “better f–king watch themselves.”

The reaction on Twitter was overwhelmingly negative, with many viewers pointing out the hypocrisy of self-proclaimed feminists Ariana and Lala Kent fuming with rage at two women who broached a difficult topic in an effort to protect another woman from harm:

“Perhaps you shouldn’t be on TV or violating women’s space. There’s film, idiot,” one viewer tweeted at Jeremy.

“Um, Ariana, your brother has a history of domestic abuse and violating restraining orders. ‘Creepy’ might be a kind adjective here,” wrote another.

That last tweet refers to the fact that Jeremy has been arrested multiple times on charges of domestic assault and violating a restraining order.

According to court records, an ex-girlfriend of Madix’s informed police that he beat her, forcibly undressed her, and threatened to kill her after they had broken up.

Jeremy, meanwhile, was by turns combative and dismissive in his response to the scandal.

Before the episode aired, he tweeted a GIF which seemed to make light of the allegations against him:

Later, he retweeted several of his own comments that seemed to be his way of responding to a previous round of criticism:

“I’m so content with the person i am I could give a fuck what you think about me,” a less-than-content-sounding Madix tweeted.

“So while I ride around in this RR and continue to work my ass off on some REAL CEO shit, be nice. Cause I’m nice to everyone.”

The most recent round of allegations against Madix were not especially severe, but the way the situation was handled was downright deplorable.

If women who come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct are subjected to bitter vitriol and violent threats from within their own social circle, then the progress of the past few months has truly been illusory.

As with the abuse that James Kennedy has inflicted on his female co-stars, this is not the stuff of amusing reality TV drama.

Vanderpump Rules is in danger of becoming a deeply problematic series, and only its stars have the ability to bring a stop to that steady deterioration.

There’s a fine line between a show that documents the intoxicated debauchery of some of WeHo’s most argumentative pretty people and a show that glorifies abusive and violent behavior for a young and impressionable audience.

Hopefully, if the show’s stars don’t realize something needs to be done, then the network will – and some much-needed retooling will take place.

Watch Vanderpump Rules online to witness the shocking reaction to Jeremy’s behavior for yourself.

Jennifer Lawrence: Slammed For Defending Ryan Seacrest, Appearing Drunk on Red Carpet

Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

We’re referring, of course, not to the literal Jennifer Lawrence falls that were once such a common occurrence on red carpets, but rather to the slow decline of what previously seemed to be one of the sturdiest careers in Hollywood.

Although come to think of it, based on her recent descriptions of her own booze intake, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Jen take an actual tumble again soon.

Usually around this time of year, J-Law is wrapping up a promising Oscar campaign.

These days, however, she’s promoting the poorly-received spy snoozer Red Sparrow, and thus far the press tour has been about as abysmal as the film’s reviews.

Lawrence sat down for an interview with Howard Stern today, and in a true sign of how much things have changed since the earlt days of the shock jock’s career, it was Jen who created a minor scandal with her comments.

While she’s not nominated this year, Jen will be in attendance at the Oscars, and Stern asked if she’ll be chatting with E! News, despite recent sexual harassment allegations against Ryan Seacrest.

“I don’t know about the Ryan Seacrest thing,” Lawrence replied.

“I think it is scary, you know. He has not been to trial for anything. I am not a judge. I am not a jury, you know,” she said. “I don’t know… that is where this stuff gets tricky.”

As many have pointed out Harvey Weinstein also hasn’t “been to trial for anything” but Lawrence gleefully called him a “boil on the ass of Hollywood” several times in the past week.

While she’s certainly not wrong in that assessment of Weinstein, the fact that she seems more willing to believe her fellow famous actresses than the mid-level E! employees who accused Seacrest has prompted many to accuse Lawrence of hypocrisy.

This is far from the first time that Lawrence has made comments that don’t quite align with the feminist agenda she usually espouses.

Of course, in today’s climate, it’s more important than ever that stars remain consistent in their messaging.

For the most part Jen has done just that quite admirably, which makes her occasional slip-ups all the more glaring.

Now a new theory has emerged about why Jen hasn’t been as poised as usual during her current promotional tour.

Jen has sat down with Andy Cohen twice this week and during their second interview, she revealed that she got drunk on the set of Watch What Happens Live before proceeding to the New York premiere of Red Sparrow.

“I did get drunk at your thing,” Lawrence admitted on Cohen’s SiriusXM show.

“Can we look at the premiere photos please? I look like I had had electroshock therapy.”

Lawrence continued:

“In my head I’m like, ‘I’m a goth dream,’ and then I looked at the photos and I’m like, ‘I’m a goth dream on crack’,” she added.

“My eyes were like ‘I’m not drunk!’”

Booziness has always been a part of Jen’s public persona, and it’s likely that she was at least partially joking.

Still, if Jen isn’t more careful when discussing sensitive topics in public, she’ll soon have fans imporing her to do her drinking at home.

Paris Hilton: I"m Totally Sorry for Defending Trump! That Wasn"t Hot

Hey, remember how Paris Hilton defended Trump, calling him “respectful” and “sweet” as if she’d only met a Trump from an alternate universe? Unfortunately, we remember.

She’s been slammed for her comments, because … they were terrible. The interview turns out to have been from a year ago, but still.

Her thoughts on the orange man notwithstanding, Paris Hilton’s not stupid — and she’s issued an apology.

Plenty of people admire Paris Hilton for her music or her business acumen or her acting or her brand or whatever.

These past couple of years of listening to her have positive things to say about Donald Trump has been … painful.

While it was obvious that, like Clay Aiken, Paris Hilton’s statements in Trump’s defense were based upon personally knowing him and being totally unable to handle the kind of man he really is because he was always so nice to her.

(That’s so common — we’ve all seen people respond to finding out that someone’s an abuser or a serial killer or whatever and going “but he was so nice.” Monsters aren’t always monsters to everyone, folks)

Like Clay Aiken, Paris is now apologizing for her remarks defending Trump.

In a statement to Us Weekly on Wednesday, Paris Hilton said that she’s sorry for her Trump comments.

“I want to apologize for my comments from an interview I did last year.”

Always good to start with the apology itself.

Remember when we mentioned, as we covered it, that we didn’t know when the interview was actually done?

It’s kind of shady that it just popped up right after the Charlottesville Nazi rally and terrorist attack, when Trump is despised even more than usual.

“They were part of a much larger story and I am regretful that they were not delivered in the way I had intended.”

Now, they shouldn’t have been delivered at all, to be clear.

She should not have said what she did, either about Trump being a good person and especially not about the women accusing Trump of sexual assault being fame-seekers.

“I was speaking about my own experiences in life and the role of media and fame in our society and it was never my intention for my comments to be misapplied almost a year later.”

Poor phrasing isn’t the best excuse.

We do understand that Paris is talking about a man she’s known since childhood.

We just wish that his present statements and actions would speak loud enough for her to condemn him.

Paris Hilton tries to address the shaming of his accusers, specifically.

“I always believe in helping women have their voices heard and helping create an environment where women feel empowered and believe in themselves.”

That’s good.

That’s also very different from accusing Trump’s accusers of bieng liars.

“I am deeply hurt by how this has played out and also deeply sorry.”

That kind of has a “I’m sorry you were upset” vibe to it, you know?

But it’s Paris and we think that she’s being sincere.

“Moving forward I will continue to do what I can to be an advocate for girls and women with the hopes of providing a louder voice for those who may desperately need it.”

That’s not a condemnation of Trump, but it is an apology.

That has to count for something.

Honestly, we’re beginning to suspect that there’s more at play here than a personal fondness.

It’s possible that Paris’ family has business ties with Trump that could be endangered if she speaks up.

We know that Trump’s politics are very different from her own.

Remember, this is the woman who did the “Paris For President” music video back in 2008.

During that song, she talked about LGBT rights, she talked about scaling back the world’s nukes and also about the importance of environmental protections in the face of climate change.

Seriously, “intensify nuclear non-proliferation and ratify Kyoto today” was a line from the song.

She also took some well-deserved jabs at George W. Bush.

We’d love to see that from Paris again. We believe that she can be that Paris again.

Kim Kardashian Apologizes: I Feel So Naive for Defending Jeffree Star!

The thing about making most mistakes is that they"re learning opportunities. That sounds corny as hell, but it"s kinda true.

Kim Kardashian defending Jeffree Star"s history of racism was for sure a mistake, and she"s been dragged on it all day long on Twitter.

But it looks like she actually listened to the backlash instead of "tuning out the haters," because Kim"s put out a new video today where she apologizes for the whole thing. And you can watch that, below.

Kim kardashian selfie drama

Okay, so, yesterday Kim Kardashian took to Snapchat to try to shut down her fans and followers from slamming Jeffree Star.

If they"d been reading him for filth over his hair or whatever, that would have been fine.

(Good, even — one could argue that celebrities who don"t say anything when they see their fans bullying someone are complicit in the bullying)

But though they were responding to Jeffree Star insulting Kim Kardashian"s latest makeup swatches (he said that they looked like chalk), that wasn"t the subject on which they were dragging the famous model and makeup artist.

No, they were going after him like a nest of enraged hornets because of Jeffree Star"s history of racism.

See, video of Jeffree Star resurfaced earlier this summer.

In it, Jeffree Star is saying some truly awful, vile things that should never be repeated.

It"s mostly a lot of the n-word, folks.

The video is from years and years ago, and Jeffree Star posted a lengthy and seemingly earnest apology.

But … apologizing doesn"t magically make the crappy stuff that you"ve done go away.\

Now, people can accidentally do or say racist things — like repeating a bad joke, or adopting a hairstyle that really doesn"t belong to their culture and has gotten people of color mocked and fired — without realizing that they shouldn"t.

Ignorance isn"t an excuse, but it happens.

You grow up and you change, hopefully.

But direct, unbridled racism? That"s not easy to forget.

Or to forgive.

And Kim was absolutely blasted on Twitter for suggesting that people should "get over" Jeffree"s troublesome history.\

First of all, because Kim is white and she has zero rights to tell people of color to "get over" racism.

Second of all, because Kim"s husband and children are black and, you know, you have to wonder if she"d tell North or Saint that.

As it turns out, Kim didn"t know the whole story, as she admits in her apology video below.

"I really wanted to apologize to you guys and my fans for defending a situation yesterday that I really didn"t know enough about."

Yep.

Do your research before you assert something on Snapchat, folks.

Her full apology, during which she admits to having been mistaken and to feeling "really naive," is exactly the right thing to say under the circumstances.

A lot of celebrities enjoy living in a bubble, but really getting to know what people say to and about you on social media can pay off, folks.

Kim Kardashian: DRAGGED for Defending Jeffree Star"s Racism!

Right now, after the Nazi march in Charlottesville and the violence that followed, anyone and everyone is being loud and clear about how much they hate racism.

Oh, everyone except for Kim Kardashian, who is going to bat for Jeffree Star, of all people. And Twitter has taken notice, folks.

As you"ll see in the video below, Kim Kardashian goes to great lengths to avoid even mentioning racism as she defends him. And that is why she"s been being dragged on Twitter all day long.

Jeffree star and kim kardashian

To tell you what"s going on and why "Kim K" and "Jeffree Star" have been trending for half the day, we should start at the beginning:

Okay, so, Jeffree Star has been famous for about a decade or so.

Like, he got big on MySpace and LiveJournal, so that"s the era when his career launched.

Jeffree Star is, among other things, a model known for his eccentric appearance.

Like, we know that he looks kind of extra in that photo with Kim, but he used to wear long-ass pink hair and snow-white makeup, so that"s a mild look.

He"s a makeup expert, but he"s also a singer and a performer.

Well, fast-forward to modern times, where he criticized Kim Kardashian West Beauty"s products on Twitter.

"Umm… Kim what is going on with those new swatches?? Looks like chalk."

Kim kardashian for national lipstick day

We"re not going to get bogged down in the merits of his criticism, because critiquing makeup is a whole other thing.

No, what happened next is that Kim"s fans and followers saw this.

And they went off.

Now, this is kind of normal for celebrities.

You"ll have people who go "hmm this is incorrect" or "terrible that you would say this."

But you"ll have countless thousands of people, whether they"re the Beyhive or Little Monsters or whatever, who act independently but nonetheless amount to a swarm of hate that fills people"s Twitter mentions.

It"s … not a great part of fan culture.

Anyway, that prompted Kim Kardashian to make a video (which we have for you below), where she defends Jeffree Star, claiming that people can change.

Maybe she knows the details of what Jeffree Star is accused of doing, maybe she doesn"t.

(He"s not accused of retelling some bad or "edgy" racist jokes; he"s accused of screaming the n-word multiple times at specific people. As an adult, to be clear)

But many have pointed out that it"s alarming that Kim would go to such lengths to defend Jeffree Star"s past, even though he"s apologized, considering that many of his statements could have been directed at her husband or her children.

Kim kardashian at the gala

Twitter, uh, is not having it.

This is a small selection of tweets:

"This was ill advised. Also, folks gotta stop abusing the word "negative." You meant racist. Just plain old racist. Say that."

She really did say "negative" a bunch. That"s not the right word there, Kim.

"She really just compared being a racist to swatching makeup properly…"

Kim states in the video below that she credits Jeffree with her knowing how to do better swatches. As if that"s the point of this.

"Black people calling out blatant racism directed towards them = being petty. This Is Kim K logic."

The lady who recorded Taylor Swift on the phone and sat on the recording for months to release it at Taylor"s weakest point should know what pettiness is.

Calling out somebody"s racist past isn"t pettiness, folks.

"Kim k is asking her fans to forgive jeffree star"s racist past…but what if that hate was directed towards north and saint..like?????"

Yep.

"Jeffree Star"s own "friends" fell back from his ass over his vile & racist behavior throughout the years (although I side eye them too)"

Kim kardashian sells beauty

To be clear, sometimes people do delve into embarrassing, offensive humor or, in their youth, wear blackface without realizing that they"re doing anything wrong or how damaging it can be.

The key is that they learn from it and apologize and never do it again.

But the sorts of statements that Jeffree Star is said to have made are beyond the pale, you know?

Even if he really should be forgiven for his troubled past — though some on Twitter aren"t convinced that he"s really changed — it"s alarming that Kim would devote her considerable platform to defending Jeffree Star.

Especially in the current social climate.

Anyway, here"s the very ill-advised video:

Wendy Williams: SLAMMED for Defending Haters of Jesse Williams" BET Speech

A little more than a week ago, Jesse Williams delivered an impassioned speech on racism at the BET Awards that people are still talking about today.

Unfortunately, Wendy Williams is one of them.

In case you missed it, Jesse’s controversial speech went into detail about the Black Lives Matter movement, cultural appropriation and the plight of black women.

While applauded by most, it sparked an outcry among a small group of citizens who denounced the speech as racist and called for the actor’s dismissal from Grey’s Anatomy.

Now, the divisive talk show host is throwing in her two cents, as she does.

“I must say to you, he was on BET. His speech was very poignant,” Williams said on her talk show.

“On the other hand, I would be really offended if there was a school that was known as a historically white college.

“We have historically Black colleges. What if there was the National Organization for White People, only? There’s the NAACP.”

Sadly, Wendy doesn’t get it. We don’t have white organizations and colleges because we don’t need them. We already have them. It’s called the Ivy League. And Congress.

Unsurprisingly, the host incurred the wrath of Twitter.

“I can no longer accept ur privileged ignorance @WendyWilliams. Using your platform to degrade #HBCUs & #JesseWilliams. You’re Black, BLACK,” wrote one angered user.

Many fans compared her to Stacey Dash, who after his speech dismissed Jesse as a “Hollywood plantation slave” who was “just spewing hate and anger.”

“How can blacks fight against racism when we can’t even work together…We got Jesse Williams. They’ve got Stacey Dash and Wendy Williams,” another frustrated fan tweeted.

Dash is eviscerated by Black Twitter pretty much every time she opens her mouth, and Wendy seems to be heading in the same direction.
