Les Moonves Responds to Sexual Harassment Charges, Admits to Making "Women Feel Uncomfortable"

Les Moones has responded to charges of sexual harassment and misconduct outlined by Ronan Farrow in an explosive New Yorker article relased on Friday.

In the damning expose, Farrow cites six women, all of whom allege that the CBS CEO made unwanted advances toward them in the form of kissing or touching.

If they refused said advances, the women were punished.

Each also said she was afraid to speak out back when the incidents happened, out of fear over how Moonves could ruin their careers.

This same piece delves deeply into CBS itself, with Farrow writing that it maintains a testosterone-fueled culture where “everything feels old, the people, the furniture, the culture, the mores.”

(Moonves has served as the chairman of CBS for about two and a half years; the network has been the most-watched network on television in 15 of the last 16 seasons.)

One of the accusers is actress Illeana Douglas, perhaps best known for her role on Six Feet Under.

She claims to have been fired from a 1997 pilot after refusing Moonves’ advances, which included “violent kissing” and holding her down on his office couch.

“The physicality of it was horrendous,” she alleges of Moonves, who was the CBS Entertainment President at the time.

Douglas says she was promptly let from the unanmed sitcom and denied payment, although she was later offered compensation and the opportunity to appear in a CBS miniseries after she retained an attorney.

In response to the scathing allegations against him, Moonves has said the following:

Throughout my time at CBS, we have promoted a culture of respect and opportunity for all employees, and have consistently found success elevating women to top executive positions across our Company.

I recognize that there were times decades ago when I may have made some women uncomfortable by making advances.

Those were mistakes, and I regret them immensely.

But I always understood and respected – and abided by the principle – that ‘no’ means ‘no,’ and I have never misused my position to harm or hinder anyone’s career.

This is a time when we all are appropriately focused on how we help improve our society, and we at CBS are committed to being part of the solution.

Even before various details from the article were made public on Friday, CBS vows to investigate Moonves and this entire situation.

It said in a lengthy statement of its own:

CBS is very mindful of all workplace issues and takes each report of misconduct very seriously.

We do not believe, however, that the picture of our Company created in The New Yorker represents a larger organization that does its best to treat its tens of thousands of employees with dignity and respect.

We are seeing vigorous discourse in our country about equality, inclusion and safety in the workplace, and CBS is committed to being part of the solution to those important issues.

Moonves is one of the most powerful men in Hollywood.

He earned close to $ 70 million last year and is married to CBS on-air personality Julie Chen.

The Big Brother host said the following in the wake of these accusations against her husband:

I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late ’90s, and I have been married to him for almost 14 years.

Leslie is a good man and a loving father, devoted husband and inspiring corporate leader.

He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. I fully support my husband and stand behind him and his statement.

That’s all well and good and parts of it may be true.

But it’s very safe to assume at least one thing in all of this:

There’s no way Les Moonves remains CEO of CBS for very much longer.

Roseanne Barr: I"m Coming Back to YOUR TV! ... If I Feel Like It

In May, Roseanne Barr got her own show cancelled after one of her especially racist tweets went viral.

Roseanne lashed out, ranting and raving and blaming anything and everything but herself. Now, however, she’s ready to have a much calmer conversation.

But she’s also teasing — or perhaps threatening — a comeback. In fact, she claims that she has already received multiple offers.

In an interview with Rabbi Schmuley Boteach, Roseanne Barr speaks about her actions and what the future may hold for her.

“Inside every bad thing is a good thing waiting to happen,” Roseanne says.

Many would suggest that the anticipated good thing in this case is the spin-off, The Connors, which ABC has confirmed.

“And I feel very excited,” Roseanne continues. “Because I’ve already been offered so many things.”

Racism may get you fired if enough people raise their voices about it. But it can also get you elected to the highest office in the land.

“And I almost already accepted one really good offer to go back on TV,” Roseanne threatens. “And I might do it.”

Roseanne adds that nothing is set in stone just yet, saying: “But we’ll see.”

Roseanne also reveals that she did not demand any financial compensation from ABC when she gave the go-ahead for them to make The Connors.

“I thought signing off of my own life’s work and asking for nothing in return, I thought that was a penance,” Roseanne explains.

“Sometimes you ask people what do you think should be done to you,” Roseanne says. “Knowing what you’ve done wrong.”

Here, the context is that she is speaking with Rabbi Boteach about her Jewish faith.

“And it seems,” Roseanne remarks. “That people always know what should be done to them.”

We might question that, but the context of the conversation here is within the paradigm of Judaism and that’s a little outside our lane.

“I just knew that was the right thing and I want to do the right thing because I’ve lived my life,” Roseanne says. “Most part of it, to do the right thing for all people, not just Jews.”

“It’s really hard to say this, but I didn’t mean what they think I meant. I don’t want to run off and blather on with excuses, but I apologize to anyone who thought, or felt offended and who thought that I meant something that I, in fact, did not mean. It was my own ignorance, and there’s no excuse for that ignorance.”

“I definitely feel remorse… I’m a lot of things, I’m a loud mouth and all that stuff, but I’m not stupid, for God’s sake. I never would have wittingly called any black person…a monkey.”

It is so easy to imagine someone accidentally making a racist comparison when they did not realize that their statement was racially charged.

The problem, of course, is that Roseanne has a long history of making horrifying, inflammatory statements.

In fact, Valerie Jarrett isn’t even the first black woman who worked in the Obama Administration about whom Roseanne has made racist statements.

And then there are her other tweets.

Earlier this year, Roseanne tweeted a conspiracy theory that claimed that Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg had made a nazi salute at a March For Our Lives rally. He had not, of course, but that’s hardly the point.

Honestly, Roseanne’s persistent belief in conspiracy theories makes some wonder if one of her alleged job offers is to appear on InfoWars alongside Alex Jones.

Based upon her Twitter activity, it appears that she genuinely believes that Donald Trump is conducting secret arrests (using secret courts) of countless celebrity Illuminati child-molesters.

These celebs, so the theory goes, aren’t put in jail, but allowed to appear to lead their lives while closely monitored by Trump’s people.

Seriously, some of these folks believed that Chrissy Teigen’s bizarre flight at the end of 2017 was somehow evidence of this.

Even in recent weeks, Roseanne has tweeted stories about secret child-molestation bunkers being found, demanding to know why the news wasn’t covering it.

(The answer is: because it isn’t true)

Roseanne has spoken about her Jewish faith, even blaming her show’s cancellation on antisemitism.

She has also tweeted about “Jewish mind control.” The conspiracy theory community is full of actual antisemitism.

The frustrating thing about Roseanne Barr is that she can seem so likeable at times. But only being a good person part of the time is not really enough.

Does Roseanne deserve yet another chance at a comeback?

Even people who despise her and her racist statements aren’t all going to agree.

Pete Davidson Confirms Engagement to Ariana Grande: I Feel Like I Won a Contest!

The the delight of millions of fans, Ariana Grande is now engaged to Pete Davidson. It happened fast, but sometimes, love is like that.

Though we"ve already seen Ariana"s engagement ring, Pete has now washed away any lingering doubts by saying it out loud.

Folks, Pete cannot contain his enthusiasm. Can you blame him. He feels like he won the lottery.

Pete davidson and ariana grande funny faces

On The Tongight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Pete Davidson and Robert Pattinson were the guests.

Ariana is a beloved guest on Fallon"s show, and as you can imagine, he definitely brought up her name when speaking to Pete.

Jimmy Fallon says: "Now, you know that you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show."

Pete"s boyish excitement cannot be contained.

"But I did, though!" Pete says.

The audience replies with cheers and applause.

After Fallon offers his congratulations, Pete offers a very apt description of the situation.

"I feel like I won a contest.," Pete says. "So sick."

Ariana isn"t just an extremely talented singer, an actress, an activist, a gay icon, and a beloved social media personality.

She"s also just incredibly hot, and Pete seems truly head-over-heels.

Fallon asks: "How are you handling it all right now?"

Pete replies: "It’s f–king lit, Jimmy."

We would imagine so.

Ariana grande and pete davidson harry potter

"It"s so funny," Pete shares. "Walking down the street."

Keep in mind that Pete has been famous for years because he is a cast member of Saturday Night Live.

In fact, debates over whether he or Colin Jost is the most attractive cast member at the moment are not uncommon on social media or among friends.

But now, when he is recognized, the reactions that he elicits are a little different.

"It"s so funny," Pete says. "Because dudes are walking by, and they"re like:" Pete mimes tipping a hat in a casual salute or a gesture of respect.

That"s cute.

Ariana grande thirst trap dance move

"Some dude came up to me," Pete continues. "And said: "yo, man, you gave me hope.""

The implication being that Pete has managed to get engaged to a girl out of his league — to one of the most attractive women on the planet — without being more famous than she is or richer than her.

Pete admits that he started to feel a little unsulted, saying: "And I didn"t know I was that ugly! Jesus."

Pete is, of course, very much not ugly.

But he is still counting his blessings.

"Yeah," Pete admits. "I"m a lucky motherf–ker."

That"s true! But so is Ariana. Anyone who finds any sort of love in this globe of nightmares we all inhabit is very fortunate!

(Also, Pete sells himself short — literally. The guy is 6-foot-3, which makes him a whopping 15 inches taller than Ariana. We are very much rooting for them even though they will have to get creative to take decent photos)

Pete davidson heart eyed caption

Pete"s excitement over his engagement to Ariana is not limited to late night talk shows.

On Thursday, he shared the image of Ariana Grande arching her back in the grass while wearing a less-than-huge amount of clothing.

(Fans will of course recognize this as part of a dance that she has practiced and performed on social media before)

"What the actual f–k," Pete writes, showing his desbelief in how beautiful his fiancee is.

He follows up that photo with a heart eyes emoji.

Pete has also, of course, already gotten two tattoos in Ariana"s honor. One of her bunny eared mask, and another of her initials.

Go big or go home.

Pete davidson dangerous woman tattoo

Arianators have celebrated this welcome news. Naturally, her fans are happy when she is happy.

Many are relieved to see that she is no longer in a toxic relationship with someone whose personal substance abuse issues make him a danger to himself and others.

(Though Pete was never a danger, per se, he has experienced and overcome a mild substance abuse issue and has been outspoken about his mental health)

Some critics have accused Pete of "robbing the cradle," which is absurd. Age and height aren"t synonyms, or Ariana would be feeling nervous about the sixth grade.

They"re both about the same age, but Ariana, who turns 25 next week, is a few months older than Pete.

Pete will not turn 25 until September.

Arie Luyendyk, Jr.: The Bachelor EDITED Me to Make Me Look Cruel! I Feel BETRAYED!

One can only imagine the betrayal that Becca Kufrin must have felt during Arie’s brutal breakup, all captured on camera and broadcast to the world.

But now, Arie is speaking up — about his decision to dump Becca and propose to Lauren. And the decision to film it.

And as it turns out, Arie says that he feels betrayed — by the producers. He claims that things were “completely edited.”

In a new interview with GQ, Arie tells the interviewer that he was “haunted” by the thought that, in choosing Becca, he’d allowed his soul mate to slip away.

So he called Lauren on New Year’s Eve.

“As soon as I heard her voice,” he says.

“I knew that I had to end things with Becca.”

Instead of simply breaking things off with Becca, though, Arie apparently went to producers first.

He says that they were the ones who pitched bringing in cameras.

Arie says that these silver-tongued producers talked him into bringing in the cameras by promising him that this was the best way to move forward.

By filming it, they allegedly told him, he would be able to show the Bachelor Nation that he was just being honest to his feelings while being respectful of Becca’s.

Arie says that they told him:

“‘Then we can show you going back to Lauren, and people are going to rally behind you because you took this big risk and you did it for love."”

He says that the producers persuaded him by assuring him that people would be on his side.

“‘At the end of the day, people will just want to see you happy."”

Obviously, very few people are invested in Arie’s happiness these days, even though he and Lauren have announced their wedding date and venue.

“You’ve got to understand,” Arie tells the interviewer. “These people were my friends.”

This, he says, is why he trusted them. But he now feels “100 percent” betrayed.

Then, Arie has some damning words to share about the actual breakup scene with Becca.

You know, the one hailed as “the first completely unedited scene in reality television history” by ABC’s promotions?

Arie says that this was hogwash.

“It was completely edited,” he accuses.

The 40 minute segment was agonizing to watch, and he suggests that it was intended to be that way from the beginning.

“I was told to stay on that couch.”

We guess that we know what Arie would do if the Milgram experiment were performed today.

“I tried to leave, and then production was like, ‘You need to go back inside. She’s finally calming down. I feel like you owe it to her to have this conversation."”

Good advice? Maybe not. But production’s job is to make good television, not to be your life coach.

“So then I went back in the house.”

He confirms that production tried to discourage him from leaving.

“Yeah. I left, came back. I stepped away from the couch, I went back to the couch.”

But the Bachelor Nation didn’t see that part.

“They cut out, obviously, production talking to me from 10 feet away.”

Arie says that, by editing out their instructions for him to remain, the resulting video “was super unfair to me.”

But he does acknowledge that, you know, this is how reality television works.

“It’s their job to make it entertaining for people.”

It is interesting to hear that Arie is trying to cast of blame to make himself look better.

Just because something was someone else’s suggestion doesn’t mean that you are blameless for doing it.

And they would have had to try harder to make him look insensitive if he had come across as more compassionate.

Tristan Thompson Breaks Silence on Baby True; How Does He REALLY Feel?

Tristan Thompson is having a breakout playoff run for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

After being benched for nearly the entire half of the regular season, the horny new baby daddy has played a key role in helping the Cavs advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

But forget the breakout play for a moment.

Tristan Thompson has now spoken out… for the first time since the world learned he cheated numerous times on Khloe Kardashian while the star was pregnant.

Moreover, he has spoken out about daughter True and about becoming a father for the second time.

(Yes, the second time: Thompson’s ex-girlfriend gave birth to his first child in December of 2016, mere months after he dumped her for Khloe. This guy is classiness personified.)

“So you got a new addition to the family,” Thompson was asked on Wednesday by Road Trippin podcast co-host Richard Jefferson said, to which Thompson replied:

“New addition to the family, yup.”

Don’t worry. He does expound a bit during the interview…

How is little True Thompson actually faring these days, however?

(Khloe gave birth to her first child on April 12, just several hours after the allegations of infidelity against her boyfriend went viral.)

“She’s doing good,” Tristan said during the podcast. “Baby True is eating, sleeping and, uh, s–ttin’. That’s all they do.”

That’s a bit crass, but it’s not untrue. There’s only so much a one-month old can really do at this point in its existence.

The rebounding machine also revealed that True has a “full head of hair,” green eyes and was born 21 inches long, providing us with the first details regarding her appearance.

Thompson is already the dad of a little boy and was asked in this exchange whether there’s a difference between having a son and having a daughter.

“I think with a girl, you’re just so much more [emotional],” he tried to explain, adding:

“With a boy, it’s just like, ‘Hey, man. You’ll be alright, man. Stop crying.’

“But [with True], it’s like, ‘True, it’s gonna be OK. You know, we’re right here. Daddy’s here to feed you. It’s me! Look, yeah!’ It’s way different, but it’s fun, though.

“It changes you.”

Really, Tristan? When son Prince was a month old, you just shrugged off his crying and told him to stop?

Actually, who are we kidding: Ain’t no way Thompson was involved with his son when he was only a month old.

Questions still remain over how closely he’s involved with True.

Sources have confirmed that Thompson was present for his daughter’s birth, but also that he got into a screaming match with Khloe as soon as True was taken out of the delivery room.

Tristan has been playing basketball almost non-stop since becoming a father again, but Khloe remains in Cleveland and recently showed surprising support for her man in public.

A number of insiders claim she wants to give this romance a second chance.

“You done? You done with kids?” Jefferson asked during the podcast.

“Naw, I’m gonna keep going,” Thompson responded. “I’ve got a couple more. I got a couple more left.”

It sounds like Thompson is serious.

We’re pretty sure Kardashian wants to have a bigger family, but does he means he wants to have more kids with Khloe?

If so, that’s pretty gigantic news. It would certainly seem to imply that the couple is very much together and discussing their future.

For now, though, Khloe seems mostly just focused on her daughter, having only talked in public about this bundle of joy, as opposed to anything related to Thompson’s pounding other women in hotel rooms.

“I can’t believe my baby will be a month old tomorrow,” she wrote with on Wednesday night on Twitter, including a crying face emoji and adding:

“Why does this make me happy and sad all at the same time. Thank you Jesus for my sweet peanut.”

Wendy Willams: Please, I Don"t Feel Bad for Khloe Kardashian

Wendy Willams has responded to the Tristan Thompson cheating by scandal by throwing some serious shade…

… at Khloe Kardashian?

Yes, at Khloe Kardashian.

Indeed, most folks out there who have been reading about the multiple times Thompson stepped out on Khloe think the Cleveland Cavaliers rebounding machine is a dirtbag.

They think he’s a no good lying jerk. A total douche canoe.

Considering Khloe was more than eight months pregnant at the time of Tristan’s most recent sexual escapade, these same people feel very sorry for Kardashian.

Seriously, can you imagine what she’s going through?!?

But not Williams.

The talk show host – who makes a living by spouting one misguided and cruel opinion after another about various celebrities – said on Thursday morning that Khloe has basically dug her own grave here.

“Hearing all this stuff, I felt bad for Khloé at first, until I realized, wait a minute. Wasn’t Tristan expecting a baby with his girlfriend Jordan Craig?” Williams asked on air.

As background to this question:

Yes, Thompson was dating a lifestyle blogger named Jordan Craig when he met Khloe.

She was pregnant with their son.

Thompson and Kardashian got together around September of 2016 and Craig gave birth in December of that same year.

As a result, Williams figures Khloe deserves all the pain she’s experiencing right now.

“The only person I feel bad for is the baby,” Wendy added, making it clear:

“I don’t feel bad for Khloe. Khloe, you knew when you pulled up on him that he had a girlfriend named Jordy Craig and Jordy was 5 months pregnant.”

This is one way to look at the situation, of course.

One mean and cold-hearted way.

Another version would be that Thompson truly fell in love with Khloe and that he could not pretend otherwise.

Another version would be that Thompson and Craig weren’t really together at the time he met Khloe, so he didn’t actually cheat on her, she was simply pregnant with their baby.

Another version would be that Khloe wanted to believe things were real between her and Tristan and that the latter had learned from his previous mistake and even if she was blinded by love or a desire to start a family…

… whatever. Who cares?!? Why kick the new mother when she’s down?!?

Because Khloe is now officially a mother.

She welcomed a little girl into the world early Thursday, with Thompson allegedly in the room throughout the process.

Does this mean Khloe has forgiven Thompson and all is well?

We doubt it.

She probably just figured Tristan still is the baby’s father and deserved to see his child be born.

Or that all of this has exploded in her face rather quickly, while she was on the verge of giving birth, and she can’t exactly think too far ahead at the moment.

Either way, Williams is sure she knows what is best and that Kardashian should have known so much better from Day One.

“Just a little note to women out there, when you’re dating and you know a guy is expecting a baby with a woman, here’s the thing.

“It might be over but the fact is – and only people who have babies know – when a baby enters the world, everyone goes to mush,” explained Williams yesterday, concluding:

“Khloe, you jumped in some mess you didn’t need to be involved with from the beginning.”

We don’t even know what this means.

We’re pretty sure it doesn’t apply at all to what’s going on.

But, by this logic, wouldn’t Thompson therefore by loyal and committed and true to Khloe going forward, now that the pair themselves have a baby together?

Kim Kardashian Apologizes: I Feel So Naive for Defending Jeffree Star!

The thing about making most mistakes is that they"re learning opportunities. That sounds corny as hell, but it"s kinda true.

Kim Kardashian defending Jeffree Star"s history of racism was for sure a mistake, and she"s been dragged on it all day long on Twitter.

But it looks like she actually listened to the backlash instead of "tuning out the haters," because Kim"s put out a new video today where she apologizes for the whole thing. And you can watch that, below.

Kim kardashian selfie drama

Okay, so, yesterday Kim Kardashian took to Snapchat to try to shut down her fans and followers from slamming Jeffree Star.

If they"d been reading him for filth over his hair or whatever, that would have been fine.

(Good, even — one could argue that celebrities who don"t say anything when they see their fans bullying someone are complicit in the bullying)

But though they were responding to Jeffree Star insulting Kim Kardashian"s latest makeup swatches (he said that they looked like chalk), that wasn"t the subject on which they were dragging the famous model and makeup artist.

No, they were going after him like a nest of enraged hornets because of Jeffree Star"s history of racism.

See, video of Jeffree Star resurfaced earlier this summer.

In it, Jeffree Star is saying some truly awful, vile things that should never be repeated.

It"s mostly a lot of the n-word, folks.

The video is from years and years ago, and Jeffree Star posted a lengthy and seemingly earnest apology.

But … apologizing doesn"t magically make the crappy stuff that you"ve done go away.\

Now, people can accidentally do or say racist things — like repeating a bad joke, or adopting a hairstyle that really doesn"t belong to their culture and has gotten people of color mocked and fired — without realizing that they shouldn"t.

Ignorance isn"t an excuse, but it happens.

You grow up and you change, hopefully.

But direct, unbridled racism? That"s not easy to forget.

Or to forgive.

And Kim was absolutely blasted on Twitter for suggesting that people should "get over" Jeffree"s troublesome history.\

First of all, because Kim is white and she has zero rights to tell people of color to "get over" racism.

Second of all, because Kim"s husband and children are black and, you know, you have to wonder if she"d tell North or Saint that.

As it turns out, Kim didn"t know the whole story, as she admits in her apology video below.

"I really wanted to apologize to you guys and my fans for defending a situation yesterday that I really didn"t know enough about."

Yep.

Do your research before you assert something on Snapchat, folks.

Her full apology, during which she admits to having been mistaken and to feeling "really naive," is exactly the right thing to say under the circumstances.

A lot of celebrities enjoy living in a bubble, but really getting to know what people say to and about you on social media can pay off, folks.
