Kenya Moore Gloats as The Real Housewives of Atlanta Ratings Plummet Without Her

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is back for Season 11.

Unfortunately, ratings at the season premiere are lower than they’ve been in several years.

Meanwhile, former Housewife Kenya Moore welcomed her first child … and she can’t help but smile.

If you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online, you know that the show has been going on as before.

Kandi and Porsha are struggling to approximate friendship after previously feuding.

NeNe is grappling with Gregg’s cancer battle.

But Kenya Moore is missing. She’s no longer on the show.

In real life, however, she recently gave birth to a precious preemie baby, Brooklyn Doris Daly.

And on Sunday, Kenya shared this precious photo for the world to see:

Kenya Moore Hand with Baby Hand

Kenya hasn’t shown her adorable baby’s face yet, but a precious baby hand is more than enough to tide over her fans.

Following being diagnosed with preeclampsia, which caused her feet to swell, Kenya was given a C-section.

Kenya, though certainly not old by any reasonable metric, is considered “old” for pregnancy, so she always knew that there would be risks.

Fortunately, it seems that the C-section was a success.

Kenya is recovering, and was even feeling healthy enough to go on a Target run (in a motorized scooter, to be clear).

And at 5 pounds and 12 ounces, baby Brooklyn was technically within the “normal” range for baby weights, if very close to the low end of the spectrum.

But one person did not find Kenya’s sweet mother-daughter hand photo endearing in the least.

“I can’t wit the calculations on Sunday’s,” NeNe Leakes wrote on Instagram.

She tagged her vague post: “#thethirstisreal #weseeyou #wacks–t”

The implication that NeNe seemed to be making was that Kenya timed her photo in a shady manner.

Perhaps, for example, Kenya showed off her baby’s hand to distract fans from her former show.

Or maybe she did it to remind Bravo of the kind of content that they’re missing out on since she’s no longer on the show.

Whatever it is that NeNe believes that Kenya is up to … it’s unclear why NeNe felt the need to comment.

Some might suspect that NeNe is feeling insecure because of what some tabloids have described as a “ratings crash.”

The season premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta brought in 1.93 million viewers.

That made it the lowest rated season opener since Season 5.

That said, relatively low ratings for a premiere aren’t necessarily a huge crash.

it’s not good news, but they had about the same number of viewers as recently as April 1 of 2018.

Bravo may be concerned, but we can’t imagine that they’re panicking.

That said, NeNe may be worried — because she’s the show’s highest paid star.

That said, some people can’t help but connect the dots.

Kenya’s firing was certainly the biggest change between last season and this season.

Now, Kenya has everything she wanted — a loving husband and a precious newborn baby.

In the mean time, The Real Housewives of Atlanta has taken a downward turn from being Bravo’s highest rated show.

It may not have been Kenya’s choice to go overboard, but it’s looking like she may have jumped ship at a smart time.

Or maybe people are less interested now that she’s off the show.

Not every Real Housewives series is going to last or click with all viewers.

But we don’t think that it’s time to start singing RHOA‘s funeral dirge just yet.

This season’s ratings may pick up.

If not, there’s always next season.

Probably

Bravo would likely be reluctant to cancel, for a host of reasons.

Thomas Ravenel: Evil Kathryn Dennis is Using Our Kids Ratings & Fame!!

Last month, Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis filed to amend custody of her two children following the arrest of baby daddy Thomas Ravenel.

Though Thomas is facing a criminal trial, he’s also making time to fight this custody filing.

Thomas is alleging that Kathryn is only making this move to get better ratings — and that Bravo put her up to it.

RadarOnline got their hands on some documents from Charleston Family Court.

Thomas is suing, but he’s not aiming directly at Kathryn.

Instead, the disgraced former politician is suing Bravo and production company Haymaker Media, Inc.

Thomas claims that they “encouraged, condoned and/or gave Plaintiff express or implied consent to initiate a lawsuit against the Third Party Plaintiff.”

This suit being, of course, “for custody of Plaintiff’s and Third Party Plaintiff’s minor children.”

“The Plaintiff filed and was encouraged to file this lawsuit,” Thomas’ team alleges.

And they say it was done “for the express or implied purpose of providing material for the filming of Season 6 of Southern Charm.

Thomas is trying to stop Bravo from airing any footage of Kathryn’s kids. Even though it’s a reality show and she’s their mom.

“The Third Party Plaintiff requests that this Court enjoin the Third Party Defendants,” the suit says.

The papers continue: “from disseminating and/or airing any Season 6 and/or otherwise unaired video footage which features the minor children.”

Thomas wants no footage relating “in this matter and/or which directly or indirectly concerns the minor children, this litigation, and/or the custody dispute.”

He specifies that the dispute is: “between the Plaintiff and the Third Party Plaintiff.”

“And,” the papers say, he wants this footage to remain unaired on Bravo “permanently.”

Thomas is also asking the court to force the defendants to pay all attorney fees.

“Defendant is informed,” the suit claims.

“And believes it is not coincidental that Plaintiff initiated this litigation during the filming of the next season of Southern Charm,” the documents conclude.

Kathryn Dennis is a reality star.

While she’s not literally always filming, she does spend a lot of her life during periods when she’s filming.

That is how the reality business usually works.

Thomas should know that — he spent five years on the show that he’s now suing.

If there is a special component to Kathryn’s timing, it probably has less to do with reality television.

It probably has more to do with Thomas Ravenel’s arrest in September for assault and battery.

The arrest stems from harrowing accusations from Nanny Dawn, one of two women who have come forward to accuse Ravenel of rape.

Kathryn insisted that she was going to avoid directly commenting on the allegations at first.

(She did manage to get a 50/50 custody split around that time, very quietly)

But an arrest is much more difficult to gloss over for the sake of one’s shared children.

Kathryn very likely seeks to limit how much her very young children are exposed to what’s sure to be a highly publicized trial.

It was the month following Thomas’ arrest that Kathryn filed to amend their custody arrangement.

There is doubt that Thomas’ team’s argument that Kathryn’s sinister plot to have custody of her own children is a ploy for ratings.

It seems more likely that, at “worst,” she cynically figured that right now — while he’s facing trial — may be her best shot at getting custody.

If Thomas ends up going to prison, she’s a shoe-in for custody anyway.

But if Thomas avoids prison time or is acquitted, she may never have this good of a chance in court again.

And again, how much of their father’s trial do Kensie and Saint really need to be exposed to?

We’re no legal scholars, but some wonder if perhaps Thomas doesn’t believe that he has a real chance of blocking Bravo from filming.

It may be that he hopes to instead plant a seed of doubt in family court about Kathryn’s intentions.

If he can successfully portray his ex as an opportunistic glutton for fame, the court may be less inclined to see things Kathryn’s way.

But the guy who’s about to face trial for rape is going to have an uphill battle to convince anyone that he’s the good parent.

Teen Mom OG Ratings Fall: Is the Show Getting Cancelled?!

So look, your friends here at The Hollywood Gossip love Teen Mom.

Love. It.

Unfortunately, not everyone feels the same way these days.

Sure, lots and lots of people keep up with the cast and all the drama.

But not a lot of those people actually sit down and watch the show every week anymore.

And as hard as it is to say, that fact may be causing a big, big problem …

1. Hey, Girls!

Teen mom og season 8 cast

Here’s the current cast of Teen Mom OG: Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, Bristol Palin, and Cheyenne Floyd.

2. Big Changes

Farrah abraham is rendered speechless

This is quite the shake-up from last season, but we’ll get into that in a moment.

3. Oh Wow

Maci on teen mom og

This current season premiered on October 1st, and it pulled in 957,000, which is … well, it’s not great.

4. Ouch

Amber on the couch

851,000 people tuned in for the second episode, and we probably don’t have to tell you that a drop of over 100,000 viewers is even less great.

5. Sorry, Ladies

Catelynn on season 8

The numbers are even worse when you look back at older season premieres.

6. Not Great at All

Like, this is honestly really, really bad.

Alaskan Bush People Premiere DESTROYS Kardashian Ratings!

On Sunday, August 19, Alaskan Bush People‘s new season premiered. Fans and viewers got to see the Brown family in Washington for the first time.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians had an episode during the same timeslot. And if Kris got cross on camera, we can only imagine how she feels off camera.

Because Alaskan Bush People‘s ratings absolutely trounced those of KUWTK. They had more than three times as many viewers.

Let’s take a look at Showbuzz Daily‘s Top 150 List and see how ratings went during that August 9 timeslot.

Alaskan Bush People: 3.4 million viewers on Discovery.

90 Day Fiance: 2.2 millon viewers on TLC.

Fear The Walking Dead: 1.9 million viewers on AMC.

Finding Dory: 1.7 million viewers on The Disney Channel.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians did not even bring in 1.1 million for E!

What’s more is that Alaskan Bush People‘s season premiere had nearly double the claim on the coveted 18-49 demographic.

Now, season premiere numbers can give a bit of a bump. That’s normal.

But we’re talking about a difference of more than two million people. That looks like more than a bump, folks.

We’re talking about a family considered to be American royalty getting less than one-third of the market share that the Brown family did.

So, why did viewers tune in?

Well, it wasn’t just to see Bear Brown run through the woods of Washington State.

Viewers are genuinely concerned about Ami Brown’s ongoing cancer battle. They love Ami.

Even though they know that the Brown family spends their off season living large in a Beverly Hills mansion, fans have forged a powerful attachment to the family members.

They want to see how Ami is doing for themselves.

They want to see how the family is adjusting to Washington.

Does this spell doom for the Kardashians?

No, and we don’t mean to suggest that Kris Jenner will see the ratings and start exposing one of her children to carcinogens to attract viewers.

(Insert the obligatory what was really in those doughnuts Kris tried to feed Khloe joke)

First of all, the Kardashian brand is no longer exclusively and inextricably linked to Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

That’s why Kourtney is a millionaire living comfortably and Kylie is on the verge of becoming a billionaire.

Reality television gave the Kardashians a stepping stone that they’ve used to grow their brands and their wealth. It was a means to an end.

We don’t think that this new ratings dynamic means that viewers want totally different things.

If networks respond to this by churning out show after show of families living in unspeakably remote wilderness while one of them battles a terminal illness, it would be a mistake.

This is probably a symptom of overexposure. Everybody knows who the Kardashians are and what they’re up to.

The big surprises that had everyone interested — things like Tristan’s cheating and Kylie’s pregnancy — are old news.

Right now, the Kardashians are focusing on feuding between Kim and Kourtney. They are grown-ass adult mothers of three each and their feuds aren’t as meme-worthy as they once were.

The Brown family might not be more authentic than the Kardashians, but they’re more relatable and they’re way, way less overexposed.

That, we think, is what’s happening here.

Kardashians EXPOSED Faking Dramatic Feuds Just to Fuel Ratings!

Keeping Up With The Kardashians has scarcely begun, but the fighting has been intense. Kourtney says Kim is evil. Meanwhile, Khloe wants to punch Kourtney.

They’re tearing this family apart! Or … are they?

A new report says that the sisters are basically just faking all of this for the cameras. Take a look.

RadarOnline reports that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians drama is at least partly just for show.

“Their fight this season is so overly dramatic,” a source close to the Kardashians admits, revealing: “and they all know it.”

That said, there’s some very real tension underlying all of this.

“There is no doubt that the three of them aren’t as close as they used to be,” the insider acknowledges.

“But,” the source says. “They all knew they needed something big to start off the season.”

It seems to be working.

Beneath all of the exaggerations, there are some genuine contentions between the sisters.

“Kourtney,” the insider confirms. “Doesn’t want to be on the show anymore.”

She’s 39 and her life isn’t what it used to be and, even if she’s still the hottest Kardashian sister, she’s over it.

“And,” the insider shares. “She doesn’t like how Kim treats everyone.”

Kim seems to treat them as if they’re all her side-kicks who should just drop everything and do what she has planned.

As you may recall, she also accused Kourtney, who is a mother of three, of essentially being a layabout whose schedule should be open.

“Khloe has been over the show for several seasons too,” the source admits.

That is understandable. She, too, has been doing it for more than a decade. It’s transformed her life, but everyone runs out of steam sooner or later.

“But,” the insider makes clear. “They exaggerated the nasty fighting.”

That’s how reality television works. You take a minor disagreement that might go unspoken in a healthy family and you follow your impulses. For drama.

And the result is that you get ratings, you get fame, and you get cold, hard cash.

“They are just all in it for the money,” the insider feels the need to explain.

We didn’t think that they were doing a reality series as the world’s weirdest charity drive.

Some might be surprised, since their heated confrontations look so real.

“By now they are all good actresses,” the source says. “Whether people want to believe it or not!”

Of course they are! And we’re not just saying that because Khloe was on that one episode of Law & Order: LA.

All of this is money — sorry, music — to the ears of momager Kris Jenner.

Kris, the insider says, “is loving every minute of it.”

No parent wants their children to squabble and fight. But if they’re just pretending to fight (mostly) and the result is that your family becomes richer by millions of dollars, that sounds worth it.

Even if you get accused of “art-shaming” one of your daughters in the process.

The sisters should be careful, however. As weird as it sounds, human nature means that sometimes, people begin to truly believe the things that they say.

Farrah Abraham: Teen Mom Ratings Are Down Because I Got Fired!

Plenty of fans tuned in to watch Farrah Abraham get fired.

But ratings seemed to decline a bit following that episode.

Farrah says that Teen Mom OG has now run its course — and people shoudl be more interested in the quality television programs that she’s going to come out with.

We’ll go into detail on Teen Mom ratings — with specific numbers and episodes — in a moment.

In an interview with RadarOnlineFarrah Abraham says that the falling Teen Mom ratings are to be expected.

“It’s no surprise that the Teen Mom ratings went down since I’ve left.”

But she follows that with a message of … compassion, we think.

“I know that other families rely on this show for income and I hope it continues.”

That’s charitable of her, though she concludes that thought by saying:

“Even if it’s now run its course.”

Funny how she didn’t seem to think that the series was pointless when they were still paying her.

“MTV has really ruined what could be an amazing show.”

MTV created the show, but she explains how she believes that they “ruined” it.

“By bullying, ruining natural story lines, shaming, and interfering in the real lives of these parents and children.”

Honestly? We’re kind of impressed that she managed to avoid accusing anyone of “hate crimes.” That’s character development.

“I’m happy I separated myself.”

Wow, that sounds like a very creative way of saying “got fired.”

Farrah then talks about her hopes and dreams.

“I hope to produce and develop award-winning shows as my 10 years of experience has me confident of what our future needs.”

She doesn’t just mean her livestreamed sex shows, we think.

Brace yourselves for this next line:

“I am quality, authentic, real.”

Wild.

She says that her future in television will reflect those qualities.

“And I will only create shows, films, and digital content that delivers that.”

TV By The Numbers has the ratings for Teen Mom OG, so these are the stats to which Farrah is referring.

The episode that featured Farrah’s long-awaited firing took place on March 12, and brought in 1,135,000 viewers.

In contrast, for the next episode, which did not feature Farrah, viewership dropped to 1,097,000 on March 19.

On March 26, 1,044,000 fans tuned in. On April 2, numbers were way down, with only 992,000 watching.

The season finale on April 9 did see those numbers rise again, with 1,250,000 viewers, finally surpassing the ratings of Farrah’s last day.

But that was a season finale.

Honestly? That dip in ratings looks significant, but it doesn’t really spell out the “decline” that Farrah seems to see.

It looks more like interest spiked, just like how more people start watching a soap opera when the show teases that a major character is about to die.

Just like how people will slow down on the road to see a trainwreck, they tuned in to watch Farrah get confronted about how she treats the show’s producers.

That doesn’t mean that her firing spells doom for the series, folks.

In other news, our advise for anyone seeking to find a romantic partner is this: find someone who describes you like Farrah Abraham describes herself.

Sister Wives: Returning to TLC Despite Declining Ratings!

Great news for fans of reality TV’s most scandalous clan of polygamists!

Come to think of it … the Browns might be reality TV’s only clan of polygamists.

Anyway, it seems Kody and company will be back for another round of polyamorous hijinks!

TLC comfirmed today that despite poor ratings for Sister Wives, the show will be back for at least one more season.

“We’ve followed the Browns through plenty of ups and downs, but their story is far from over. We’re excited to share that ‘Sister Wives’ will return to TLC to continue following the journey of the Brown family,”

The news comes as something of a surprise, as ratings for Sister Wives declined precipitously over the course of the past season.

While the show still manages a decent market share, the downward trend points to an uncertain future for the once wildly-popular series.

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup the Sister Wives Season 9 premiere drew in 1.7 million viewers.

Not terrible numbers for a long-running basic cable series, but down considerably from the show’s series premiere, which drew in a whopping 2.2 million viewers.

And worse, it seems the numbers may be slipping as the show’s current season trudges on.

As for what viewers can expect from Sister Wives Season 10, well, TLC didn’t give much away in today’s announcement, but we have some predictions.

As those who follow the Browns closely already know, Kody and Christine’s daughter Aspyn Brown got engaged to Mitch Thompson in June.

News of wedding preparations has been kept largely under wraps, which leads us to believe the build-up to the big day will be the focus of Season 10.

But that doesn’t mean the older generation will be pushed to the margins completely.

After much speculation that Meri Brown will leave Kody, it seems we finally know for sure whether or not she’s sticking around.

Meri tweeted last week that “not bailing” on her family, and would like the speculation to end.

So you can expect the ongoing drama between Kody and Meri (and all of his other wives for that matter) to figure prominently in upcoming episodes.

Frankly, we can’t wait!

Watch Sister Wives online to get caught up in time for what may be the show’s final season.

Jana Duggar To Be "Married Off" For Ratings?!

Last month, Jana Duggar turned 28.

Obviously, she’s still very young, and she has plenty of time to marry and start a family.

Now if only her father saw things that way…

As you may know, rumors of Jana entering a courtship have been circulating non-stop for several years now.

And yet, the so-called “Cinderella Duggar” remains single.

The latest round of reports had Jana dating Caleb Williams, but now it appears that either the rumors were bogus, or the relationship fizzled, as Jana is once again a confirmed bachelorette.

But for how much longer?

It seems fans on the Duggar message boards on Reddit are convinced that Jim Bob knows exactly when Jana will get married –  he just might not have told her yet.

“Does anyone think Jim Bob is holding off on marrying Jana to create tension and just when people are getting sick of Counting On, he will marry her off in a royal wedding-type, hyped spectacle?” wrote one fan this week, prompting a lively discussion on the matter.

There’s plenty going on in the Duggars’ world these days.

In fact, there are so many pregnancies, courtships, and weddings in the works that even diehard fans are having trouble keeping track.

But all those developments haven’t led to increased viewership, and ratings have been on a steady decline for over two years now.

One fan on Reddit described the most recent season of Counting On as “incredibly boring,” and it seems he’s not alone.

So it’s not hard to see why now would be the perfect time for big news such as a Jana courtship.

But the idea that she’ll announce a relationship soon in order to boost ratings is entirely based on fan speculation, right?

Well, not entirely…

In the past, when he was asked about his eldest daughter’s single status, Jim Bob Duggar would give evasive answers.

These days, he’s a bit more forthcoming –  and it seems he’s just as eager as the fans to see Jana find Mr. Right.

In his most recent interview, Jim Bob was asked point blank about his feelings about his daughter’s dating prospects.

Rather than lashing out against the creepiness of such a question, Jim Bob calmly replied that he’s been “praying about that one.”

In other words, he very much wants Jana to get married ASAP.

And in the Duggars’ world, what Jim Bob says goes.

So you can expect an announcement at a time when it will be most advantageous to the family brand.

Wendy Williams to Megyn Kelly: You"re Just a Ratings Whore!

Following a random and very rude rant against Jane Fonda, Megyn Kelly is getting dragged through the angry mud on social media.

And also on television.

By a fellow daytime talk show host, in fact.

On Tuesday’s edition of her self-gratifying program, Wendy Williams focused her ire on the former Fox News anchor, whose move to NBC last year has not exactly gone according to plan.

Kelly has had trouble finding an audience for her hour of TODAY, which may explain why she went hard after Fonda on Monday.

Because Fonda did not appreciate Kelly asking her about her past plastic surgery procedures during an appearance last year, Kelly blasted the actress yesterday as a hypocrite and a troublemaker.

She even went all the way back in time and brought up Fonda’s protests against the Vietnam War as proof of… something, we guess.

That Fonda likes to stir up trouble? It’s unclear.

The speech absolutely reeked of desperation, as noted by many social media users who could not believe what they were witnessing.

To wit:

Because it’s the only thing she knows how to do on air, Williams offered up her two cents regarding the Kelly vs. Fonda feud during her Hot Topics segment today.

“Why are you fighting with her, Megyn Kelly? Is your show still on?” Williams taunted, adding that Kelly was clearly “fishing for ratings” via this stunt.

The thing is, of course, Williams is right.

We despise writing those words, but they ring true.

Still… should Wendy Williams call anyone out for any sort of ratings ploy?

This is the same woman who, just a couple weeks ago, said Kylie Jenner’s baby would be ugly and who slammed Oprah as fat.

Those were just the latest examples of Wendy fishing so hard for ratings and attention that she might as well have filmed the episodes from the Deadliest Catch boat.

In this case, Williams went on to say that Kelly was far too new to the daytime talk show “genre” to bring up the topic of plastic surgery with Fonda.

She seems to think such a personal line of questioning must be earned.

“Here’s my thought, Jane does look great, she’s 80 years-old,” said Williams, adding:

“Stevie Wonder could see that’s not a natural 80, but my thought with that is, Megyn is brand new to this one-hour talk format thing and she’s trying to warm up and do some of the stuff that I do…

“She’s trying to be entertaining and light hearted, and they gave her a boat load of money to do it… It’s just not working out.

“As a conversationalist with a show, I can tell you, one of the things you don’t do when you first meet somebody is zoom in with questions like that.”

SIGH.

Can both women please be wrong in this scenario?

We don’t need to actually choose a side, do we?

Kelly can be a polarizing, conservative ex-Fox News anchor who is failing miserably in her attempt to go mainstream…

… While Williams can be a cruel, opinionated blowhard whose only “skill” is tossing out uninformed hot takes on a daily basis.

Right?

Please tell us this is right. We can’t actually pick a winner in this dumb feud.
