Veronica Mars Revival: It"s Happening, Marshmallows!

Kristen Bell currently stars on The Good Place.

And it may be the best show on network television.

But the beloved actress is about to head back to a wonderful place, a place where she truly became a popular household name.

That place is the city of Neptune, California.

Following a few weeks of rumors that seemed too amazing to be true, Hulu has now confirmed that Veronica Mars really is returning to the air.

The former UPN/The CW drama will air eight brand new episodes on this streaming service in 2019.

Series creator Rob Thomas will write the first episode of the revival and serve as an executive producer; while Bell, of course, will reprise her title role in the series.

At this point, we need to stop with the official background information and quickly add:

EEEEK! YES! WE CAN’T BELIEVE THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING!!!!!!

Veronica Mars ran for three seasons and was canceled way back in 2007.

The series starred Bell as a high school student who suffered a major personal trauma and then worked alongside her father (or often in defiance of her father) as a private investigator, uncovering various crimes and secrets in her posh home town.

The show had such a rabid fan base that a Veronica Mars movie was released in 2014.

Along with this incredible revival news, we can confirm the following:

– All past episodes of the original Veronica Mars will also be headed to Hulu. Fans can stream seasons 1-3 (as well as the 2014 fan-funded feature film) starting in summer 2019.

– A synopsis for the return in general has been released!

This is the Hulu logline for the right installments on tap:

Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry.

After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.

It’s unclear right now who else from the original cast will be returning.

But Bell is pretty stoked about everything, writing today on Instagram in response to the news:

Attention all Marshmallows: BREAKING NEWS!!!!! We are OFFICIALLY back in business!!! A new #veronicamars series is coming back, on @hulu !!!! Veronica has always been a super hero without a Cape. And I think shes exactly what the world needs right now.

Thank you to all my fellow marshmallows who stayed excited. Thank you to @hulu for the opportunity. I hope we’re still friends after I taser I you.

Revivals and returns are all the TV rage these days, of course.

CBS is somehow bringing back both Murphy Brown and Magnum P.I. this fall, while Roseanne was a giant hit for ABC last television season and Last Man Standing will return to the smalll screen later ths year.

But whatever. Who cares about those?

Veronica Mars will soon air new episodes!

Who else is excited?!?

American Idol Revival: In Jeopardy?

Ever since Katy Perry was confirmed as the first judge on ABC’s rebooted American Idol, there has been much speculation about who would be filling the other seats on the panel.

Despite negotiations that feel like they’ve been dragging on for an eternity, it appears that the producers are no closer to filling up the panel than they were a few weeks ago

That’s a bit worrisome when you consider the fact that filming is scheduled to begin at the end of September. In an ideal situation, the panel would be locked in weeks before.

Lionel Richie, Charlie Puth, Luke Bryan and Keith Urban were thought to be in the mix a few weeks back, but since no deals have been announced, it sounds like they do not like the deals being offered to them.

According to TMZ, the thing holding up Lionel from signing on the dotted line is the proposed pay he would receive from taking on the role. The report states his management team is demanding $ 10 million for his services.

However, producers only want to offer $ 5 million, and it’s unclear whether Lionel would sign for such an amount. The figure is huge, but Katy Perry is set to pocket $ 25 million for her services.

That’s a big difference when you consider the fact that Lionel has been in the music business for much longer than Katy. Something tells us the producers are probably regretting offering the “Bon Appetit” songstress such a big payout.

On top of that, producers are debating the number of judges to have on the panel. Previously, three seemed to be the magic number, but it sounds like there will be four.

That’s assuming the panel can even be filled in time.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Ryan Seacrest was lobbying for a figure similar to Perry’s but TMZ reports that he settled for somewhere between $ 10 to $ 15 million.

What do you think about all of this?

Will the show find the right talent before the time is up?

Jersey Shore Revival Series: Actually Happening?

Once upon a time, MTV’s Jersey Shore was garnering higher ratings than some of the biggest shows on broadcast TV.

Nowadays, the network rarely charts in the ratings and is returning to old formats in an attempt to bring the network back to its former ratings glory.

With the return of Fear Factor being a moderate success, it looks like the network is ready to bring back Jersey Shore from the grave, and we’re not quite sure how the heck it would work.

Still, would we really say no to a return trip to the Jersey Shore? Um, no.

Jenni ‘Jwoww’ Farley has revealed she is in active negotiations with producer SallyAnn Salsano about ways in which the series could return for another season of drama.

“I’ve actually been texting the creator of Jersey Shore,” she revealed to E! News.

The 31-year-old said she’s said to the creator, “How do we make this happen? But I need to be in bed by 9 p.m. I have to take my family and don’t let me get white-girl wasted so I can’t find where my family is. So if you can help me out with those, I’d be down.”

If you watch Jersey Shore online, you will likely remember how boring Jersey Shore became when the stars began growing out of their partying ways.

Snooki was even moved to another house while she was pregnant with her first child. If the stars are going to be reserved this time around, is it really worth bringing it back?

With regards to commitments, Jenni thinks it would be best to film for around ten days on an island somewhere as opposed to a huge season.

The possibility of a reunion does seem relatively high when you consider the dire straits over at MTV. Heck, maybe this reunion will pave the way for a new iteration of the series with a new cast.

It seems like Snooki also has the reunion bug since she posted a picture of herself posing with former female costars, Jwoww, Sammy Giancola and Deena Nicole Cortese.

The rest of the cast even revealed to In Touch recently that they would be game for a reunion, so something tells us this is something that will be happening in the very near future.

Obviously, the new series would not include any of the crazy antics of the original series, but it could be interesting to get the details on what they’ve all been up to since the show concluded in 2012.

We would pay to watch the show if it included the return of Angelina Pivarnick. That would guarantee at least a bunch of fights.

Over to you, Jersey Shore fans! Do you think it’s a good idea to bring the series back?

Sound off below!

Lauren Graham: Edward Herrmann Would Have Loved Gilmore Girls Revival

Lauren Graham knows how excited fans are for the return to Gilmore Girls this November 25th.

The residents of Stars Hallow have reunited for Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life, which features four 90-minute episodes spanning each of the four seasons.

Graham, 49, spoke about returning to the set, and how the absence of co-star Edward Herrmann, who died of brain cancer at 71 in 2014, will affect the show.

Hermann played Graham’s on-screen father, Richard Gilmore.

“He would have loved this [new series],” Graham told People Magazine, assuring fans that the fact that he’s not there will not be overlooked.

“His death was just a loss for us personally. It’s given the show a new complexity and depth. It’s a nice tribute to him.”

Graham’s on-screen daughter, Alexis Bledel echoed her sentiment.

“He was wonderful to work with,” she said. “Very generous and such a great presence to have on-set always.”

Fans have a lot to look forward to, Graham and Bledel revealed.

“The characters are older now and really are just supporting each other, which I think is a natural progression for a mother and daughter,” Graham said without giving too much away.

“Their dynamic is so unique,” Bledel added. There’s nothing else like it.”

Last month, Graham couldn’t contain her excitement over the A Year In the Life.  She admitted that starring on Gilmore Girls was possibly the highlight of her career.

“I relished it, and I’m ruined for life because there’s no more perfect fit I feel like for me than that writing and that show,” she told People last month.

“I’m so glad I got to do it again. I just can’t even explain it. It was everything I wanted it to be and more.”

If you need a refresher, or are looking to watch Gilmore Girls for the first time, the entire series is available on Netflix.

Gilmore Girls Revival: Yup, Luke and Lorelai Are Together

He says he “can’t share much,” but Scott Patterson can be forgiven for withholding certain pieces of information.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated Gilmore Girls: a Year In The Life on Netflix (debuts November 25th),  Patterson talked with People Magazine about what it was like shooting the four-part series.

“I can tell you that we are together,” Patterson said of his character, Luke’s status with Lorelai, played by Lauren Graham.

“We are together and we’re sort of figuring out our next step.”

The show aired from 2000 to 2007, but to Patterson, getting back together with the cast and crew felt like no time had passed.

“That came immediately, that’s never been an issue,” Patterson said.”That’s part of why the show is so successful I mean, [creator Amy Sherman-Palladino] cast the right people.”

What was an issue for Patterson was getting back into character.

“My first rehearsal, I just struggled – I was like, ‘I don’t feel this guy anymore,’ ” he remembers.

“My first rehearsal, I went to Amy and I said, ‘I don’t feel this, I got to walk around Stars Hollow. I gotta walk around the set and get the old feeling back.’ So I did. I took about a 10-minute walk, I went through the town and I got it. I felt ready.

And I came back in and rehearsed the scene and I thought, ‘I’ve got him."”

LUKE IS BACK!

One person missing from the reunion is Edward Hermann (who played Richard Gilmore).

Hermann passed away at age 71 two years ago, and Patterson says the loss is palpable both personally and professionally.

“Losing Ed, it left just a gaping hole and it was so tragic and so shocking to lose him,” Patterson shared.

“But as far as the storytelling was concerned, it really deepened the scripts and affected the tone of a lot of it – and especially our characters and how we related to one another.”

Patterson assured fans that the show will pay tribute to Hermann’s character in a beautiful way.

“On the first day on the Gilmore house set, there were some things there that nobody had seen before that we saw that were so moving, that we all kind of had to sit down,” Patterson explained, careful not to give too much away.

“Fans are going to be very touched by how Amy has shown her respect and paid her homage to him.”

Selena Gomez Undergoes Hair Revival: Love It or Loathe It?

Selena Gomez made it pretty clear a few days ago that she was in need of a change.

Following a concert in Indonesia, the 24-year old scared fans a bit when she posted a lengthy note on Instagram.

It made references to how she felt “unauthentic [and] unconnected to both myself and my music.”

Gomez wrote that she felt “stagnant” in life and that she needed to “rethink” certain areas of her life.

Here. Take a look at the full message below:

It’s unclear just what prompted this self-diagnosis from the superstar, although it’s safe to assume it had something to do with the beating she took the week before on social media.

Soon after Kim Kardashian outed Taylor Swift as a liar by sharing a video of Kanye West clearing lyrics to “Famous” with Swift, Selena jumped on Twitter to defend her best friend.

Upset over all the grief Swift was taking, Gomez wrote:

“There are more important things to talk about… Why can’t people use their voice for something that f-cking matters?”

Her frustration was understandable at the time, but many Internet users turned the question around and asked Selena why she only took this stance when her pal was under attack.

It’s not as if Selena goes around using her enormous social media following to enact any kind of change in the world, they argued.

Based on the mini meltdown illustrated above, it seems as if this criticism really hit home for Gomez.

So this is a long-winded way of confirming that Selena has undergone at least one kind of personal makeover since opening up to her fans:

She has a new hairstyle!

Upon touching down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the latest stop on her Revival Tour, Gomez shared a trio of photos on Instagram.

As you can see from these examples, Selena now has choppy bangs and wild waves.

And she seems to feel pretty good about herself:

It’s so nice to see her smiling again, isn’t it?

What do you think of Selena’s fresh look? Was it time for her to change things up? Did she do so in order to attract Justin Bieber once again?

And why do you think she broke down on stage over the weekend?

Relive that unfortunate incident below while you consider her new look.

Gilmore Girls Revival: All You Need to Know!

The exciting rumors has turn into an actual reality.

Following reliable talk that Netflix would revive Gilmore Girls for a limited run at some point in the near future, the company has now come out and confirmed this really is happening.

Here is what we now know:

Netflix Tweeted that the show would air new episodes with a Tweet that reads as follows:

“OY with the poodles, already! See you on set, Amy Sherman-Palladino, @thelaurengraham @alexisbledel. #GilmoreGirls.”

Star Lauren Graham then added her own confirmation via a picture (below) and a message:

“I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it’s time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007, to return to work.@netflix #GilmoreGirl.”

Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson and Kelly Bishop have all signed on to reprise their respective roles as Lorelai, Rory, Luke and Emily.

Sean Gunn (Kirk) and Keiko Agena (Lane) will also be back.

The four-episode revival will begin filming in Los Angeles on February 2. Each installment will be 90 minutes in length.

Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer producer Daniel Palladino will write and direct each episode, with each one representing a different season.

The series will be set in the present day, eight years after it ended its run on The CW.

New characters will include:

  • Berta and Alejandro, a Peruvian couple.

  • Nat Compton, a very sad looking man who never smiles.

  • Paul, 30-something year-old man described as a “Michael Cera type and “a good boyfriend.”

  • Jim, a high-end men’s magazine editor.

  • A Blue-collar man named Dwayne.

  • A handsome 20-something named Damon.

We’ll provide plenty more details as time goes on, but for now, it’s okay to be excited, people:
