Obviously, Beyonce’s epic Coachella performance continues to reign supreme in the hearts and minds of the world, but that’s not the only thing that’s happened at the controversial music festival.
For one thing, The Weeknd and his ex Bella Hadid were spotted cuddling and kissing in plain view.
Are they back together?
Us Weekly reports that, on Friday, Bella Hadid and The Weeknd looked cozier than they have in ages while cuddling up at Coachella.
Specifically, an eyewitness says that they “were canoodling and being affectionate as she sat on his lap.”
This was during Travis Scott’s performance at Poppy nightclub’s pop-up debuting Kylie Cosmetics’ Kourt x Kylie makeup line.
This source, based upon their own observations, was only able to draw one conclusion by what they saw.
“They are 100 percent back together.”
That’s exciting for them both and for their fans — if, of course, this eyewitness is correct.
Us Weekly also got the scoop from another witness.
And this source was singing a similar tune about the couple, saying:
“They were completely all over each other.”
Sometimes you see a certain level of comfortable physicality between exes, friends, or even strangers (a party’s a party).
But this source says that things went further than that.
They say that Bella and The Weeknd “kissed a couple of times.”
It doesn’t sound like they were trying to keep things under wraps.
“And Kylie and Kendall Jenner went over to their table for a bit as well.”
What’s especially interesting about these reports is that The Weeknd wasn’t just attending the music festival.
He performed, on Friday, prior to this alleged canoodling.
Specifically, he sang two songs from his new EP, My Dear Melancholy. Those songs were “Call Out My Name” and “Privilege.”
Fan analysis of the lyrics has led to the widespread belief that his new music is about Selena Gomez.
So … did Bella Hadid listen to her ex sing about his other ex but still got put into the mood to take him back?
That’s really impressive.
Fans of the couple will remember that Bella and The Weeknd dated for two years before breaking up in late 2016.
In fact, some felt that when Selena started dating him, she was stabbing Bella in the back. (She wasn’t)
The Weeknd’s relationship with Selena is arguably a greater fixture in people’s minds, even though they dated for less than a year.
That’s probably because his name recognition grew thanks to his association with Selena … which in turn has led to The Weeknd getting accused of using Selena for fame.
No matter what really went down during that relationship, though, Selena has moved on.
And it looks like The Weeknd and Bella are receptive to the idea of getting back together.
That said, there are always uncertainties with music festival hookups.
The atmosphere is very conducive to a what happens at Coachella stays at Coachella attitude. People hook up and then return to their real lives.
But it’s also possible that, even if The Weeknd and Bella are totally onboard with rekindling their past relationship, they still have some things to work out.
Relationships usually take work, and nobody’s putting in that kind of effort at Coachella.
