Four Tourists In Malaysia Plead Guilty For Stripping On A Sacred Mountain Top & 'Causing An Earthquake'

This is such a strange set of events.

Four tourists on vacation in Malaysia plead guilty to obscenity on Friday after they were spotted stripping down naked on top of the sacred Mount Kinabalu peak back in May.

A guide on the mountain reported their leud act to officials, but locals really started to take issue with the nudity after they say the four Westerners caused an earthquake that killed 18 people for messing with the spirits.

Eleanor Hawkins, a 24-year-old Brit, Dylan Snel, a 23-year-old from The Netherlands, and Danielle and Lindsey Peterson, 22 & 23, from Canada, were each fined around $ 1,300 and spent three nights in jail… but things could have ended much worse!

Apparently, the twenty-somethings were potentially sentenced to up to three months in prison just for trying to take a fun photo.

While we think they should have been more respectful of a foreign country’s ideals, we think it’s a tad out there to blame a natural disaster on a scantily clad photo op.

Luckily for the now-criminals, they were reportedly flown out of Malaysia on Saturday morning, so hopefully they can put this all behind them!

Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter Welcome First Child!!!

The Cumber-baby has officially arrived!

Benedict Cumberbatch and wife Sophie Hunter welcomed their first child today. Reps for the actor shared the news in a statement issued to People magazine this morning:

"Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son," the statement read. "We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during these next few precious weeks."

Cumberbatch and Hunter got engaged in November of last year, and rumors that she was carrying the British heartthrob's baby began to circulate shortly thereafter.

Hunted confirmed that she was pregnant in January, and Benedict and Sophie got married a month later on Valentine's Day.

The couple has yet to reveal any details about the baby, but sources say we can expect the announcement of a name and the release of the first photos sometime in the next week.

Naturally, Cumberbatch's legions of devoted female fans have already expressed their best wishes (and volunteered to babysit) on social media.

We'd like to add our voice to the chorus and offer our sincerest congrats to the first-time parents. Here's to another generation of British cool and reptilian good looks!
