Rachel Dolezal -- 'I Identify As Black' (VIDEO)

Z STAFF

Rachel Dolezal says she identifies as a black woman … which she claims began when she was just five years old.

Dolezal, sitting down with Matt Lauer on NBC News’ “Today,” says she used to color self-portraits as a child … using a brown crayon instead of a peach one.

The ousted NAACP leader claims she never doctored her appearance — or donned “blackface” — in order to pass as African-American, explaining, “I don’t put on blackface as a performance … I certainly don’t stay out of the sun.”

Dolezal was joined by two of her sons, Isaiah and Franklin, who Dolezal says identify her “culturally” as black.

Beverly Hills, 90210 Is The Next Show Getting A Lifetime Unauthorized Story! Get The Deets HERE!

We can’t wait!

That’s right! After Lifetime‘s other unauthorized movies based around Saved By the Bell as well as the upcoming Full House movie, Beverly Hills, 90210 is now getting the same treatment!

[ Related: Take A Peek At The First Photo Of The Full House Unauthorized Cast! ]

Just like the other two movies, this drama will depict the behind the scenes drama of the hit show as it explores the relationships of the cast members — Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling — as well as their producers.

It’ll take an in-depth look at the hit show that lasted 10 seasons and explore the ups and downs both on and off set as the cast deals with ratings, pop culture fame, and becoming stars!

Though we doubt it’ll touch on the 2008 CW revival of the series that started fresh and lasted 5 seasons, we couldn’t be more excited to get all the juicy details of the drama of one of our favorite ‘90s shows!

The first huge attempt at the “unauthorized” stories was the 2014 The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story which was actually a bit of a disappointment to Lifetime, as it only drew in 1.2 million viewers. However, the made-for-tv-movie gained quite a bit of buzz after it aired, something the cable network is most likely banking on for both the August release of the Full House Story as well as 90210.

Keep your eye out for more news as we can’t wait to see who they cast as Tori Spelling!

Rosie Perez: I'm Quasi-Straight!

Rosie Perez may not identify as homosexual, but she once questioned her sexuality and only considers herself quasi-straight in the present day.

At TrevorLIVE New York, an evening supporting the LGBTQ youth foundation The Trevor Project, Perez spoke about her own "questioning."

"Every human being, whether they want to admit it or not, went through a period of questioning. I know I did," Perez admitted at the event.

When she met a girl named Michelle back in junior high, "all I wanted to do was hump her," The View host revealed, shocking the audience.

"And I suppressed the urge and suppressed the urge and suppressed the urge until Michelle one day started humping on me," she added.

Thousands of American teens experience these feelings, she says, and that makes groups such as The Trevor Project all the more important.

A leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth, it serves this very purpose.

"I'm not the only one that went through this questioning. I'm not the only one that suppressed those feelings. Who hid their story," Perez said.

"I know I'm not lesbian, gay or whatever, I'm a quasi-straight person, I still went through that period. And I thought I was all alone."

Now married to artist Eric Haze, Perez says when things ended with Michelle, so did their friendship - and she wishes she had these resources.

"I remember that hurt. And that hurt kept me silent and that silence brought shame. I didn't have a community. I didn't have The Trevor Project."

"If I had other people, specifically adults, to call up and they said, 'Oh, I humped the Michelle-type person too, you're normal, don't worry."

"You're either gonna go here, there or in the middle, don't worry about it, it'll pass. You're just figuring it out,' even that simple statement."

"It would have made all the difference in the world," the 50-year-old says. "There's no such thing as normal. The norm is being different."
