Jeremy Calvert and Corey Simms: Unexpected BFF Alert!
Jeremy Calvert and Corey Simms, Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer’s two ex-husbands, have formed a surprisingly close bond in recent months.
After Calvert’s divorce from Messer this spring, sources say the pipeline engineer, 27, leaned on none other than his ex’s first husband for support.
The father of the 23-year-old’s twin daughters Ali and Aleeah, 5, used to fight with Jeremy, the father of Leah's third daughter Adalynn. No longer.
“Though they used to fight, Corey and Jeremy have a great relationship now,” an insider tells Radar Online of the two West Virginia dads.
“They obviously dealt with a lot of the same issues. And now that they talk, Jeremy can see Corey’s side in his past arguments with Leah.”
On the last season of the MTV hit show, Messer and Simms often clashed regarding the twin girls' schedules and treatment plans for Ali.
The little one's rare form of muscular dystrophy has been a constant source of stress and concern for both - and a point of contention, too.
Corey Simms wants full custody of the girls after previously agreeing to a joint schedule; Leah being in rehab does not help her cause.
Both dads are playing Mr. Mom while Messer undergoes in-patient treatment for addiction and emotional issues across the country.
Jeremy and Corey chat often to ensure that the twins spend time with little Adalynn. Says a source close to the unexpected friends:
“They arrange visits because they don’t want the sisters to be separated. It’s important to them that they all have a close relationship.”
Messer’s marriage to Calvert officially ended in divorce after a tumultuous period in which he says Leah cheated with A LOT of guys.
Jeremy is now dating Ohio single mom Brooke Wehr, 24, while Messer is reportedly dating physical trainer Theodore “T.R.” Dues, 32.
Corey has also moved on; Simms met and married Miranda Patterson after his divorce with Leah was finalized a few years ago.

On the June 19 installment of this WEtv favorite, Divorce Court star Lynn Toler will attempt to lay down her version of the law, telling contestants such as The Situation and Kendra Wilkinson exactly how it is.
Will they listen? They may actually be scared straight and have no choice, if the network trailer featured here is any indication.
Elsewhere, prepare for Kendra to go after Tami Roman after the Basketball Wives star brings up allegations of Hank Baskett cheating on his wife.
