Forget all the Kardashian Christmas card drama allegedly going on at the moment.
There’s far more pressing drama supposedly affecting this famous family at the moment, and it all centers on the marriage between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
According to various reports over the past couple weeks, Kimye is falling apart more and more every day, with the stars both dealing with their own issues following a pair of scary personal incidents.
As most of the free world knows by now, Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint while spending time in Paris in early October.
A handful of armed assailants broke into her apartment, pulled her out of bed, bound her, gagged her and forced Kardashian to beg for her life.
She believed she was going to be killed, raped or both.
Even the staunchest Kim Kardashian critic had to feel sympathy over this awful happening.
In response, Kanye certainly helped Kim the best he could.
He hired extra security and spent as much time with her and the couple’s two children as possible, but he could never fully relate to what his wife had been through.
Moreover, Kanye then had to leave and go on tour, criss-crossing the country without Kim by his side for the first time in years.
The separation didn’t help this relationship, as the stress of dealing with Kim’s situation, combined with other factors, caused West to suffer a nervous breakdown.
He spent nine days in a Los Angeles hospital.
Kardashian, meanwhile, was actually preparing to return to the spotlight just as her husband fell ill.
She rushed to his side and she spent nearly every waking second with Kanye while he was under doctor’s supervision, but the pressure and the tension continued to mount between the celebrities.
Instead of bonding over all they had in common, Kim and Kanye have been on their own personal islands for over a month now.
As a result, there’s been incessant talk that they really may divorce in the near future.
And now In Touch Weekly is doing its job to further churn this rumor mill.
Following Kanye’s recent hospitalization, the tabloid writes that the Keeping Up with the Kardashian star is “terrified of her husband’s behavior, and has been talking to celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser.”
Wasser represented Kim in her divorce from Kris Humphries back in the day.
It’s unclear if she’s been meeting with Wasser of late for personal reasons (that is, just to catch up with a friend) or legal reasons.
“She really thought Kanye was her soul mate and is absolutely devastated,” a source tells In Touch. “But this isn’t what Kim signed up for when she married Kanye. She’s done.”
Yes, done the magazine writes.
And what really may make this potential split very ugly is the fact that Kanye is in the dark.
Despite all the gossip stories being written about the divorce (what, you don’t read The Hollywood Gossip, ‘Ye?!?), the rapper apparently has no clue that he may soon be single.
“Kanye has absolutely no idea that any of this is happening,” claims the insider. “She’s been doing everything in top secret.”
Not all that top secret, though, apparently. Considering all that’s been written about it.
