Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra: We"re Engaged! And Gorgeous!
Just about a month after the exciting news broke that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were engaged, the hunky singer and the gorgeous actress accomplished two things on Saturday:
They confirmed the huge development.
They celebrated in a very special way with family and friends.
“Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love,” Jonas captioned the above snapshot on Instagram this morning.
As you can see, it depicts the famous and beloved couple embracing, as Chopra places her hand (and massive engagement ring) on his chest.
The Quantico star, meanwhile, shared the same picture on her social media page and wrote along with it:
“Taken.. With all my heart and soul.”
These beautiful words were just the beginning, however.
The confirmation from the celebrities came on the same day their families united for the first time to celebrate the soon-to-be husband and wife’s engagement in Chopra’s home country of India.
And both Jonas and Chopra included many pictures from the unique party on their respective Instagram pages…
“The only way to do this… with Family and God. Thank you all for your wishes and blessings,” wrote Chopra as a caption to the gallery of images we’ve posted above and below.
The truly awesome photos featured Chopra and Jonas posing for another engagement shot, along with photographs taken while the two participated in a Hindu prayer ceremony.
Fans have been curious about this relationship ever since the stars walked the red carpet together at the Met Gala last year.
Speculation then ramped upto fevered pitch after People Magazine reported an engagement…
… and the director of Chopra’s latest project Tweeted last month that the actress was out of his “Bharat” film with a thinly veiled reference to singer-actor Jonas.
“Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special , she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her,” Ali Abbas Zafar wrote, adding at the time:
“Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life.”
Jonas, of course, rose to fame as a member of a boy band made up of him and two of his brothers.
The group has since split, but Jonas has maintained his fame via a solo career and a few acting gigs.
Chopra, meanwhile, is actually good friends with Meghan Markle and Serena Williams.
She just wrapped up a leading role in the ABC drama Quantico, which marked her first starring role in American television.
The actress was a a giant name in Bollywood prior to her job on this series.
“So happy for the engagement of our son @nickjonas and we welcome @priyankachopra into our family with love and excitement,” wrote Kevin, Sr. on Instagram this week.
As far as proposal details go?
All we know for sure is that Jonas popped the big question back in July.
“His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her,” an insider tells People.
Well, yeah! We’d sure hope so! The two are set to get married!

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra: Engaged!!!
Last year, Forbes listed Priyanka Chopra as one of the world’s 100 most powerful women. Clearly, they were right.
Priyanka is reportedly engaged to one of the most desired men on the planet — Nick Jonas.
What’s more is that the couple has only been dating for about two months. This seems to be a summer for engagements, folks.
Just a couple of years ago, Priyanka Chopra and Tom Hiddleston were looking flirty at the Emmy’s.
Now, People reports that Priyanka is engaged to Nick Jonas.
In fact, the insider says that Nick popped the question a week ago, while the two of them were in London.
It would have been Wednesday, July 18 — because he reportedly proposed on her birthday. The gorgeous and talented actress is 36.
Though the proposal was across the pond, Nick apparently closed down a Tiffany’s in New York in order to select the ring.
Neither of the two extremely beautiful celebrities have confirmed the news just yet — but it’s brand new information and, of course, their business.
“They are so happy,” a source tells People.
A source close to the Jonas family says that Nick in particular is “very, very happy.”
“His friends and family have never seen him like this,” the insider reveals. “And they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her.”
We are very much inclined to believe that People is reporting the words of reliable sources, but if you’re looking for more, someone else dropped a major hint.
Late on Thursday evening, Ali Abbas Zafar, who is Priyanka’s director in the Indian film Bharat, tweeted that she was leaving the production.
“Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special,” he announces.
“She told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her,” he teases.
It’s a hint, but it’s sure not a subtle one.
“Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life,” Zafar concludes, adding a series of affectionate, joyous emojis.
The guy did everything but tweet out a photo of the ring.
Though the two of them are believed to have only been dating for about two months, their history goes back a little further.
According to People‘s sources, the two of them hit it off in 2017.
It was only later that they rekindled their relationship.
Those close to them knew that things were serious when they introduced each other to their parents. That’s a big deal, even in the celebrity world.
“It’s a huge deal that Nick brought Priyanka to his cousin’s wedding,” a Jonas source told People at the time.
Celebrities often compartmentalize their public and private lives, and may even keep their famous relationships separate from family. But not in this case.
Obviously, this is crushing news to many fans of Nick Jonas who’d on some level always imagined that they’d end up with him. But that’s life, folks.
And some were surprised, given how briefly these two have been dating. And perhaps because of the 10 year (and 2 month) age difference.
But while the first few months of this year were full of Kardashian births, this seems to be a summer of engagements.
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are engaged. Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are engaged. And now Nick.
If you rose to fame in the late 2000s, apparently, this is your summer to pop the question — or have it popped at you, in Ariana’s case.
