After five years of dating and less than a year of marriage, Mike Shouhed‘s wife, Jessica Parido has filed for divorce.
In court documents obtained by In Touch, Parido cited “irreconcilable differences” for the split. According to the paperwork, Shouhed and Parido have been separated since August first.
“Barely six months after our [March 29] wedding, I found endless texts with different girls that he would meet up with and have sex with,” Parido told the magazine. “There were graphic text messages about sex and his penis size.
“It was disgusting.”
The couple weathered cheating allegations on last season of Shahs of Sunset, but Parido stood by Shouhed. She also converted to Judaism before he proposed.
“When I confronted him, he denied it and tried to make me feel like I was crazy, all the while erasing the messages off iCloud,” Parido said, adding that she left the couple’s home and never went back.
“I can’t believe I was so naive. I really thought I knew him — we were together for five years before we wed”.
Parido, who beat leukemia as a teen, stood by Shouhed, despite telling In Touch that emails about his infidelity flooded her inbox.
“Now divorce is my only option. I need to start putting my life back together.”
Parido’s seems to have deleted recent photos of her and Shouhed, 37, from her Instagram account, including those from their wedding.
Yesterday, Shouhed posted a cryptic status update on Facebook.
“Have belief that the man above has a plan for you,” he wrote. “Never lose hope. Everything happens for a reason. I wish you all a happy, healthy and successful week.”
