The Bachelor’s Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff may be on shaky ground. A new report indicates that family members aren’t sure if they will marry.
As fans know, Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff went straight from The Bachelor to L.A., rather than the farm he made famous on the show.
His stint on Dancing with the Stars has been lengthier than expected, sparking a lot of showmance rumors while straining the couple's romance.
Now, Radar reports, she's flown back to her old life in Chicago while he finishes out DWTS, casting more doubt on whether the two will make it.
Rather than play down his fiancee's absence, Soules fueled the rumors when he said, “She (Whitney) actually went back to Chicago this weekend."
"She had some work things to [catch] up on. And [DWTS] is getting really intense. I’m not even existent to her ... she’s missing friends and home.”
Will the Soules clan ever see her again in Iowa? Have some of his relatives even seen her at all? Is a breakup announcement imminent?
It's all speculation, but doesn't exactly look good.
“I have not met her [Whitney],” Chris' grandmother Beverly says, despite living only 20 minutes from his Arlington farm. “I’ve only seen her on TV.”
His grandmother insisted, “They are busy. He practices every day." She notes that, "I’m absolutely rooting for them. I hope they can make it!”
You don't need The Bachelor or Bachelorette spoilers to tell you these things often don't last, but don't stick a fork in Chris and Whit just yet.
The rumors of tumult are obligatory after every season, and some duos do make it through. Bischoff’s family also spoke out in her defense.
Marsha Mudd, whose husband Philip Mudd, is Bischoff’s stepfather, said, “We watched [her win his heart] ... We wish Whitney all the best.”
Does she think there will be wedding bells in the future for the Midwesterners? “We’ll see what comes down the plate,” she said. So ... vote:
Will Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff last?
