Some people just do not get the point…
Jessa Duggar‘s father-in-law Michael Seewald felt the need to speak up about how Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar handled their son Josh Duggar molesting five children.

He posted a 2,160-word essay on his website, explaining that he normally wouldn’t get involved with something like this but felt compelled to because of the criticism his “family” is getting.
But his defense completely misses the point!
Michael starts by saying people “throw stones at Josh and the whole family,” but you know what they say about people who live in glass houses.
The author goes on to say other things like:
“Some people act as if it was the Duggar’s responsibility to have made this sad episode in their family public knowledge.” … umm, they’re on a reality TV show, aren’t they? Their private lives are bound to become public at some point!
“Many times it is simply lack of opportunity or fear of consequences that keep us from falling into grievous sin even though our fallen hearts would love to indulge the flesh. ” Wait, wasn’t the police report burned? And Josh didn’t get any kind of legal punishment like most people would, right? Looks like there weren’t many consequences.
However, Michael does have a point when he wrote:
“Finally, a word to the millions of muted victims of sexual abuse all over the world. It is not your fault. No matter what the abuser may have said, you are not the one to blame. Do not keep silent if you are being abused, tell someone you trust, a parent, a teacher, a friend, anyone is better than silence.”
Josh has since lost his job and possibly his spot on the TLC show, and you know what? That’s what happens to most people who molest not one but FIVE little girls.
