She’s gone, she’s really, really gone! We can’t believe it either…
Last night, in a heartbreaking, tearful season finale of The Vampire Diaries, we finally had to say good-bye to Elena played by Nina Dobrev, as well as Tyler played by Michael Trivino.
Both characters have been around since the pilot and it wasn’t until just over a month ago when Nina announced her departure, followed by Michael’s announcement shortly after.

Though the fans were heartbroken by Nina leaving in particular, they seemed okay with the way she went out.
They took to Twitter to let their feelings be known, to empathize with other TVD fans, and to send out their love for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena one last time with #Delena.
