Rusty Edward Sellner broke into Cyrus’ pad back in December. He was eventually arrested and later pled no contest to one count of first degree residential burglary.
A judge on Wednesday sentenced Sellner to two years in prison, but gave him credit for the 270 days he has already served.
Prosecutors had said Sellner made off with a large amount of both her and her brother’s personal property. A hearing will be scheduled at a later date to determine how much in restitution Sellner must pay to Cyrus.
Cyrus recently closed a deal for a massive ranch on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
