Margot Robbie has made it official:
Tom Ackerley is a very lucky man!
The gorgeous Suicide Squad star has responded to wedding rumors that made the Internet rounds on Monday by showing off a pear-shaped sparkler on Instagram.
And she did it in rather cheeky fashion, as you can see here:
It was Australia’s The Daily Telegraph that initially claimed Robbie and Ackerley got married in Byron Bay over the weekend… even though the two have never even announced an engagement.
Fueling this rumor, the UK’s The Telegraph added that the actress was given away by her mother and detailed how her three siblings were in attendance at the ceremony.
News.com.au, meanwhile, alleged that there were about 50 guests at the ceremony and subsequent reception.
Wrote that website of the unexpected wedding:
“Guests weren’t even told about the wedding location at all, instead being asked to assemble at different locations from Byron Bay to the Gold Coast, where they were collected by buses and escorted to the venue.
“Once they arrived, all guests were told to hand in their mobile phones and cameras as a dozen security guards roamed the property to keep unwanted guests out.”
From here, Robbie arrived at an airport in her home country last week donning a T-shirt that read “Say ‘I Do’ Down Under.”
Robbie did not include a caption with her photo above, but that is definitely her face and it is definitely pressed against the face of Ackerley.
The Australian beauty and the British assistant director met in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Francaise.
They went public, at least as far as openly smooching and hanging out together, in June of 2014.
In the May issue of Vogue, Robbie didn’t mention plans to marry Ackerley, but she did describe him as “the best-looking guy in London.”
That’s high praise!
UPDATE: Northern Star is reporting that the bride and her groom served their guests Coco Pops as the main wedding dessert. For real!
The popular cereal was placed around the dance floor, with bowls, milk and cream, making Robbie our new favorite celebrity, especially after we also learned that pizza and barbecue were served as the main course.
