Adele Dedicates Song to Brussels Terror Victims, Calls Attackers F**kers
Yesterday, the citizens of Brussels experienced a horrific act of terror that stunned the European Union and the world.
Just across the pond in London was Adele, who, clearly affected by the atrocities, dedicated a performance at the O2 Arena to the terror victims with a heartfelt rendition of "Make You Feel My Love."
The crowd showed support by waving their phone lights in the air, and she asked the audience to sing along with her.
The raw emotion was palpable throughout the crowd, and it had a profound effect on the singer.
"I don"t think I"ve ever actually been so moved in my life at one of my shows," she said following the performance. "That was just so beautiful,"
"Thank you very much for doing that. I think they heard us," she added.
However, her emotions then switched to anger, and she took a moment to slam the terrorists in a mini-rant on stage.
"I"m hoping you"ve all come to be entertained by me," she said. "I"m here to entertain you, so we"re all united, so that makes us much better than them f–kers. You"re on, you f–kers."
You gotta love this woman.
Not only does Adele have one of the most powerful singing voices on the planet, but she"s also earned a special place in our hearts for her down-to-earth persona, her humor and – especially evident of late – her compassion.
To wit, just last week she invited an autistic fan to sing a duet with her on stage during a concert in Manchester and gave everyone the feels.
And earlier this month she granted the wish of a chronically ill 12-year-old superfan by visiting her at her home in Belfast.
At a time when fear and despair is hitting us hard, it"s nice to know we can at least count on Adele to be the great uniter.
Watch her incredible performance below.
