Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci is very close with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, as well as the entire Kardashian/Jenner family.
Tisci and West go back awhile, and the Italian-born designer has dressed Kim in several creations, most notably her wedding gown.
InStyle’s editor Ariel Foxman interviewed Tisci for a Time Magazine piece, delving into how he’s been able to resurrect a name that made famous Audrey Hepburn and the “little black dress.”
The family that helped boost Tisci and Givenchy’s mainstream fame isn’t exactly synonymous with the likes of Hepburn, but Tisci has created a relationship that’s become mutually beneficial.
When asked who is his favorite Kardashian to dress, Tisci didn’t hesitate.
“Of course, my close one is Kim. I met Kim first through Kanye because I worked with Kanye and we’re really close friends. I promise today that I didn’t see one episode of [Keeping Up With the Kardashians].
“I just went to Kris’s 60th-birthday party. Kim’s a hard worker, an amazing girl. Kourtney’s really beautiful and really elegant. And Kendall. We started her [modeling] career.
“I love all of them.”
Kendall has modeled for the house of Givenchy several times, both on the runway and as part of the label’s campaigns.
