Dancing with the Stars Results: The Last Waltz For ...

Would Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars provide some daylight between the contenders and the pretenders, or continue last week’s logjam?

We can’t recall a season when all of the remaining stars scores’ were all bunched so close, making it anyone’s game, or anyone’s tango to lose.

This week did offer a bit more variance, and for one celebrity, it was their last waltz: Andy Grammer will be leaving the hit ABC competition.

“It’s actually kind of fitting that I would leave tonight after really getting to honor [my mom] through dance,” he said of the night’s theme.

“And I’m going out on a handspring!”

He then busted out a handspring and the worm, making him the big winner on Icon Night, even if his score landed him at the bottom:

  • Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess (Contemporary): 30/30

  • Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough (Foxtrot): 28/30

  • Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy (Paso Doble): 28/30

  • Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson (Salsa): 27/30

  • Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold (Contemporary): 25/30

  • Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas (Argentine Tango): 25/30

  • Andy Grammer and Allison Holker (Viennese Waltz): 22/30

So, as you can see, the scores matched the results, at least for one week. Andy fans will miss him, but there’s not a lot of Tuesday griping to be done.

For once. But there is more to it:

In yet another format twist, the highest scoring couple received immunity for this week plus an extra three points added to their score next week.

Perhaps the show is looking to stave off controversial results ahead of time. In any case, Nick Carter won immunity, and with a perfect score to boot!

Meanwhile, the other six couples competed in dance-offs to earn a pair of bonus points. One of the winners was Grammer, though it wasn’t enough.

Anyway, do you think the right person went home on Dancing with the Stars Monday? Who do you think will be out the door next week? Discuss!
