Tom Hiddleston: Yup, My Relationship With Taylor Swift Is Real

They caught him on a good day.

Hours after it was announced that he was nominated for an Emmy, Tom Hiddleston hopped on the phone from Australia to do a bit of press.

The Hollywood Reporter asked The Night Manager star a series of questions related to the Emmy Awards in September, all leading to the one thing everyone wants to know about:

His relationship with Taylor Swift.

It was early in Australian during the interview, where Hiddleston is currently filming Thor: Ragnarok.

THR had a hard time believing that Hiddleston was going to celebrate his nomination by going to work, but the Brit suggested that he might toast his good news with co-stars Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo.

Does Hiddleston plan on bringing as his date to the Emmys?

“I don’t,” he told THR with a laugh.  “I didn’t even know I could. It’s 4 in the morning here!”

Then came THE question: What say you about those who write off your relationship with Taylor Swift as a damn good PR move?

“Well, um. How best to put this?” he started.

“That notion is — look, the truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we’re very happy. Thanks for asking. That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.”

This is the first time Hiddleston has directly addressed his burgeoning relationship with the 26-year-old singer.  An Australia reporter attempted to do the same earlier this week, and came back with a polite “nope, not talking about that.”

Maybe he felt back for Swift, who was publicly slammed on Twitter by ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris yesterday.

Whatever the reason, Hiddleston has either put rumors to rest or awoken the beast.

All all he wanted to do was talk about how excited he was to see his British friends at the show.

“I’m very much looking forward to seeing my friends who are nominated in the same category, Benedict Cumberbatch and Idris Elba,” he said.

“They’re both old friends of mine. I worked with Benedict a long time ago — six or seven years ago now, and he’s been a friend ever since. And the same is true of Idris.”

You can bet your bottom dollar Swift has already called up British designers to dress her for the Emmys.

“Look you guys!” she’ll say to Idris and Benedict as she twirls in her Union Jack gown.  “Ello, gov-nah!”

Go home, Taylor.  You’re embarrassing yourself.

2016 Emmy Awards: Who Got Snubbed?!?

The 2016 Emmy Award nominations are in.

And while we couldn"t be more excited that The Americans is finally being shown the love it deserves, we do have a few complaints to file.

The following shows and stars totally deserved to make the Emmy cut, don"t you think?!?

1. Mayim Bialik, The Big Bang Theory

Mayim bialik the big bang theory

Bialik for Lead Actress in a Comedy. She grounds a sitcom in a seriousness than is often needed. To whom would we give the boot? Amy Schumer from Inside Amy Schumer … only because we don’t believe sketch comedy stars should be nominated. They aren’t playing a character, it’s a totally different kind of acting!

2. Eva Green, Penny Dreadful

Eva green penny dreadful

We dare you to find a more harrowing performance from the last decade. Green, simply put, made this Showtime drama. We’d have chosen her over Robin Wright from House of Cards. That show is so played out.

3. Uzo Aduba, Orange Is the New Black

Uzo aduba orange is the new black

Aduba won an Emmy last year. We’d have included her this year in the Drama category (did you watch the last few episodes of Season 4?!?) and given Maggie Smith the axe. Seriously, who isn’t over Downton Abbey at this point?!?

4. Paul Giamatti, Billions

Paul giamatti billions

Yes, he chewed some scenery… but he made a delicious meal out of it! We would have been happier to see him land in the Lead Actor category over Liev Schreiber.

5. Rachel Bloom, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

Rachel bloom crazy ex girlfriend

The CW deserves some Emmy love! Bloom gave a far more interested and nuanced performance than Lily Tomlin in Grace and Frankie.

6. Constance Wu, Fresh Off the Boat

We’re gonna cheat here. We’d have included Wu as a Supporting Actress and chosen her over Kate McKinnon of SNL.

Liam Hemsworth: Blaming Miley Cyrus For Career Slump?

What now, you two?

Their wedding is reportedly set to take place at the end of this summer, but Liam Hemsworth is 9 kinds of panicked about his career, and there’s nothing Miley Cyrus can do to console him.

His latest blockbuster, Independence Day: Resurgence was a complete flop, and now he’s freaking out about his future.

He had so much pinned on this movie doing well, including a number of high-profile roles that were his if he proved himself at the box office,” a source told OK! Magazine.

“Miley’s doing her best to try and bring him out of this slump and see the positive side, but Liam’s so miserable and bitter about his life right now,” the source added.

“He doesn’t know what to do and in his dark moments he blames Miley for overshadowing everything he does.”

Though they got back together last December, Cyrus and Hemsworth might be out of their honeymoon face and facing the possibility that they’re not meant for one another.

“It’s getting like the old days when they would fight over the smallest things.”

What’s odd is that Cyrus’ dad, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, told In Touch Weekly that he’s heard no mention of a wedding.  In Australia.  At the end of the summer.

“No there’s no wedding bells on the calendar,” he told the tabloid on July 13th.

“I’d tell you if there was!”

There may be no wedding, but Cyrus assures fans that his daughter and Hemsworth are the real deal.

“I love that she and Liam are so happy right now,” he said

“Happy is hard to find. So if you’re in a good spot, woo! Bam! And Miley knows that.”

The couple broke their engagement off in 2013 so that both had some space and time to figure out what they wanted.

Now that they’re back together, they’ve dodged every rumor from pregnancy to cheating allegations.
